I can't seem to find a Papa Luthor thread. Possible explainations for this could be
a.) I'm a blind newbie
b.) There was one and it died.
Could someone help me out?

I'll bump it up for you, but if you look at the bottom, only threads with posts in the last 30 days will show up on the list. Change the setting to include all threads and you'll find it.

This show has been on holiday hiatus for a long time. I thought this week might be the next new episode, but it looks like I'm wrong. What is the easiest way to find out when the next new one will be? Shouldn't there be a place on the Smallville main page here to tell me this?

You can check the WB's offical site. But
FYI, the next episode of Smallville airs on Wednesday, January 14th.

You can check the WB's offical site.
Sadly, The WB doesn't tell you anything in advance. You can find out what episode is airing that week, but that's it.
RexDude - if you ever have scheduling questions again, here are some places you can check:
Krytonsite is probably the best place to get Smallville information. IMO, anyway.
Yahoo has TV listings that go nearly 2 weeks ahead. You can tell if it's new from either checking to see if the original air date is the same, or if it doesn't say (repeat) at the end of the liting.
There's also
TV Guide which goes one week forward. And
Zap2itBut my favorite listings are at
excite. I think you have to register to use it, but it highlights your favorite shows and also puts them in this really nice list so you know when they air. And you can search up to one day short of 2 weeks.

Not really a "newbie" here, but I still have a question:
Does anyone know when the Smallville season 2 DVDs will be out? I wasn't able to watch the show last season because the city that I lived in did not carry the WB in its cable package, and I would like to get caught up to speed.

Seconding jcpdiesel21's request. I can't do any sort of justice to the Lionel Luthor thread that vallegirl was good enough to bump up for me until I see the evolution of our favourite Bastard.

The S1 DVD came out around late August-early September; chances are the same will happen with S2. Apparently (for some on air shows anyway), the new black is to release the dvd for the previous season a couple of weeks before the new one is set to start.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a website where I can download clips of Smallville episodes for free? I have been able to download clips in Real Media format for shows like Alias and really want to get some S3 Smallville on my computer as well ( Here in Australia we're only just getting started back on Ep 8 of S2!)

So, the new rule for episode threads is to start them when it finished airing in EST. Are we allowed to start these threads, or do we have to wait for moderator?

Totally new to the forums. I'll do my best to follow all etiquette, etc. First off--to you Omar--your recaps are so fantastic...they are definitely better than the show. I couldn't stop laughing last night. Thank you for your commentary.
Question--is there a forum conversation or string that someone can outline the whole Adam/Bruce Wayne thingy? I'm dying to find out more about that but a little behind in viewing....

I'd suggest an Adam thread in Superfriends area or something in the Smallville Mythology area. Could also discuss that in individual episode threads.

This is just a random question, but I have no clue where to shove it... In episdoe 16 of season 1, Episode Stray, with the psychic boy who can read everyone's minds... In the opening, while he is running through the woods, this odd rock song is playing. I was wondering if anyone here knew what it was called, or who sings it. Thanks.

A question for the Canadians on the boards:
I live near Toronto and CityTV is wonderful about airing new Smallvilles, but on the next Tuesday. So, I'm always one behind recaps and people's comments on eps. Is there a Canadian station that carries new eps at the same time the WB does?

CanSpy, when I lived in Montreal, I would get Smaville on Global... If I recall correctly, it was on the day after the episode aired on the WB, around 10pm... It might have changed since, but I'm pretty sure if Global is still airing SV, you can at least catch the new epsiode in the same week it airs, if not on the same day.

CanSpy, unless something has changed in the past month, the answer is no. However, if you live near the lake you might be able to pick it up on antenna from Buffalo. That's how I watch it.

I'm not sure where to ask this question, I looked for a music thread and couldn't find one. Does anyone know what song it is playing in Drone when Lex is in the car right before he meets the reporter? I've ruled out:
If There's Love" by Citizen Cope, Citizen Cope
"Stick 'Em Up" by Quarashi, Jinx

Howdy!
I'm thinking of starting a new forum thread, "Smallville Humor". Basically, it would consolidate an element -- comedy -- which is scattered around the forum into a single thread. Somewhat like "Lines that will never be said on Smallville", but beyond the scope of one-liners. Hopefully this thread would also attract humorous fan fiction, fan art, et cetera.
So if I started this thread, would you all go for it?
anotherguitarchick
Feb 17, 2004 @ 11:28 pm
Yeah, I'd be up for it, if the Mighty Omar gives it an ok.
Another thread idea - anyone interested in a thread purely about the psychological disorders of the characters? I don't know if that would fall into the Meta thread or what, but SV is a hotbead for personality and mental disorders, and I'd love hear other peoples' take on the subject.

I lurk on the 24 forum and they have a thread for casting wishlists. Would people be interested in a SV casting wishlist thread?

I definetly would. The other two ideas sound fun as well.

Feb 18, 2004 @ 1:46 am
anotherguitarchick, I already asked Mighty Omar. If I understand his response correctly, there are no explicit rules against starting a new thread. But, users are encouraged to run their thread idea by other users before posting it.
Well, I see some positive feedback here, so I'm going to start the thread now and see how that goes.
BTW, until the casting wishlist and psychological disorder threads are posted, I think Smallville Humor may have some opportunities for that sort of thing. Nutjobs can be funny. As for casting, what if Judy Garland had done a cameo in the tornado episode? "Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore... Oh sh-t, we are."

I don't think your thread idea is redundant. I mean, I thought mine might be, because the sole focus on humor has already been done in "Lines that will never be said on Smallville". But I justify my thread by the fact that it goes beyond one-liners.

Ok, I'll start one up. Another thread that I like from the 24 boards is "Ideas for Season 4" -- where you post what you'd like to see happen, ideas on how to make it happen, why it would work, etc. Any interest in that?

Maybe we should start a b-word abstinence pledge for Lent. There's a mass giving up of JJ Abrams hate over in the Alias boards.
