"Graduation Day, Part 1" was pretty good, but I have to go with "Who Are You?", because of what it revealed about both Faith and Buffy.

It's TYG for me. While all their fights were really good TYG works for me because of the close setting of the house. Not to mention the great glass door shot and the fact that they were using everything they could possibly get their hands on to go at each other. And as Gaspode mentioned the Faith-Joyce lead-in to the actual fight just makes it even better IMO.

I guess I'll have to go with TYG, since GD1 has that moment where Buffy just sits there and stares as Faith launches herself off the roof. Get up and grab her, bonehead!

I totally love this fight, it's one of the best fights ever on the show. However, I thought Buffy didn't grab Faith then because the import of what she was doing sank in. Better to let Faith fall to her death than feed her to a vampire, no matter what she'd done.

I forget what sode this is from but the best fight ever is a bitch slap, hair pulling fight between Xander and Harmony. Harmony is burning Spike's stuff and Xander comes up on her and they get into it in slo mo and everything and they are both so inept it's hysterical. Sorry, that's my favorite.

Hee hee. Already picked up the Wonderfalls slang. It's from "The Initiative."

As for this one, I have to go "This Year's Girl." Breaking through a window, tumbling down the stairs, breaking a glass door...there's just way too much awesomeness. The "Who Are You" fight, while thematically strong, is way short in comparison. "Graduation Day, Part One" is good, a close second. But I'll agree with those who say the glass door was one of the coolest things they've seen on the show, cause daaaamn.

I went with "GD1". Followed closely by "TYG" and then "WaY". Man, CB, you make it tough on a girl.
And, double HA to the Xander and Harmony "fight" in "The Initiative". I love Xander, and I hate when they totally play up his ineptitude. But, that was just plain funny.

GD1, because it was an all around cool fight, had emotional resonance (*gasp
* Buffy can't kill! but she has to to save a life!), and was integral to the plot (okay, a stupid sub-plot involving Angel, but still a plot). The only bad part was how they ruined Faith's pretty apartment.

It was a tough choice between This Year's Girl and Graduation Day, part 1, but I ended up going with GD1. GD1 and 2 are all in all among my favorite episodes, and that fight is just so incredibly intense. I also like the fight in Who Are You, but it does not compare to the sheer animosity and hatred found in GD1.

Definitely "Graduation Day, Part 1." Just, oh yeah.

"This Year's Girl" might have been my favorite if not for one of the most cheesy lines ever spoken in a Buffy ep, when Buffy tells Faith that she's not Riley's type, because "he's not into sleaze." Or something to that effect. Ouch.

This Year's Girl, for the same reason I think the best fight in Angel is his fight against Faith in Five By Five. It's just a good ol' fashioned slobberknocker that tears up the joint in a way few other fights have.

I chose Enemies. I loved it the way Angel and Buffy tricked Faith into telling them the Mayor's plan and when Buffy tells Faith that Buffy is better than her. And when they both grab knives and have them at each other's throats but Buffy can't make the final slash. It makes the fight a lot more interesting, IMO. The only problem I have with this fight though was that Angel didn't join the fight. I mean his girlfriend is getting beaten up by a homicidal person and he doesn't even try to help Buffy? Please. But the rest were really awesome, especially This Year's Girl and Grad Part 1.
Its Amazing
I went with Revelations. The Faith/Angel fight is a nice appetizer, there's a great contrast in the two girls' moves (set up by the contrasting practice slayings in the teaser) and it works so well into the main story without the rest of the plot just stopping.

Graduation Day, Part 1 tries to be the fight that ends all fights, but the stupidity of Buffy going alone (hello, backup? Tranq gun? This isn't an off-the-cuff skirmish, Buffy knows where Faith is and has to win, yet she tries to do it all alone? Just annoying) makes it hard for me to enjoy it as much as I should.

This Year's Girl works hard to keep my attention, but it seems a little kitschy with all the props, plus Sophia is way too buffed out by this point to be credibly hidden by the wig.

Enemies and Who Are You both set up nice moments (the kiss, Faith beating herself up), but they're not so great as fights, per se. JMO.

GD1 simply b/c its the Best. Girlfight. EVER! "Look at you all dressed in big sister's clothes." Although TYG did have the glass door. WAY had Faith beating herself up. Enemies would have been better if "the kiss" had been on the lips instead of the forehead. When you look at it, they had a lot of great fights. But nothing beats GD1.

I had to go with TYG solely because Faith won. Which of course means Buffy lost, which is always yummy.

Had to vote for Graduation Day...the snarking, the look on Faith's face when she gets the knife stuck in...just an overall great fight scene.

Here's another thread that hasn't had any attention lately, and should...

I had to go with GD1, I think mostly for Buffy's pants. If that's not shallow...
But seriously, what an awesome chick fight!

I'm pretty much in love with the fight scene from "Graduation Day, Pt. 1." In my mind, Faith was the true winner of that fight. (Why? Because, in my mind, Faith is always the true winner.)
gadzooks
Some of the best fights in TV history IMO. Real kick down, drag 'em out brawls instilled with real venom. I went for GD pt 1 not only 'cos I feel it in the moment, but also as it led to some of my favourite Buffy moments ever (in Pt 2): Faith at last getting the face she deserved (and really good make-up!) The Mayor vs Angel in the hospital and the cryptic dream sequence in Faith's apartment, with its call back and foreshadowing. And as mentioned upthread, 'Five by Five' was an amazing Whedonverse ep and ditto that fight.
