Was watching Princess Mononoke last night. Wow, Gilly is awesome, even in wolf-form.
ejluther
THE TERMINATOR was on and I see that Alien Bounty Hunter Brian Thompson is one of the punks Rnld accosts when looking for clothes...oh, and Lance Henriksen (Frank Black) is in the film, too!
Slippin' Mickeys
I'm watching "Final Destination" right now, and just about every guest star they ever had is in it. Also, the Fehr kid who looks so freakily like Duchov.
Kanel
I saw Final Destination recently, and thought something along the same lines.

Isn't the teacher the chick from The Field Where I Died? And I think the brain eating kid from Hunger is in it, too.
jesseanne21
Ok, so I recently returned from a six week backpacking adventure in Australia...during much of our trip we used the Indian Pacific Railroad to travel cross-continent, and they would show the most random American movies...since the train rides were up to 40 hours at a shot...ANYWAY...one evening they pop in a film called "Desert Bloom" featuring John Voight as an evil dad, because John Voight can be nothing other than evil....but the leading lady? Annabeth Gish! She couldn't be more than 15 in this movie...which is awfully boring and about the atom bomb being tested or something...in some desert. But it was very disconcerting that Moronica should find me all the way on the other side of the planet. Oh yeah, and Donnie Pfaster definately does the voice over for an Advil commercial. Cure that headache girly girl!

William B. Davis' daughter died

I noticed he was quoted as Bruce Davis, not William Davis.
Glasgow
good grief, that's just awful.
pusher
"We're not interested in vengeance, in 'whodunnit' at this point. We just want to make sure that her soul's been properly captured, because she had lots of it," her father said.

"How can I have ill will toward a bunch of people who were probably drunk?" Janet Wright added.

Wow, these two are saints. I wouldn't take her death half as well as her parents.
Ruby Trample of Woody End
There is talk on the net that is wasn't WB Davis but another actor named Bruce Davis (although I understand that the "B" stands for Bruce). I believe that the newspaper has made a correction and removed the original headline of "Smoking Man's Daughter Killed". This is how the story appears now - it mentions her mother, Janet Wright, but only quotes her father once and calls him 'Bruce'.

Very confusing.

Either way, it's a horrible thing to have happened to any family.

edited to link this article. Her father is a musician named Bruce Davis. Seems the original report was wrong.

However, as I said above, very sad.
Glasgow
ok, so which one is Shannon in Die Hand, 'cos seemingly she just got married to Dawson van der Bleek. her photo on imdb looks like Sophie Ellis Bextor.
NickChick
Playing By Heart is running on A&E now. LOVE that film. Pretty please, when Gillian goes back to work, can she do something opposite Jon Stewart again?

Glasgow -- There are several screen caps of her here. Heather McComb has also appeared in Profiler, as Bailey's daughter, if that's a series that crossed to the UK -- she was on during the Ally Walker years. She was a quite prolific child actress, if memory serves. Seems that's mostly where I know her work from.
Glasgow
thanks for the link, NickChick. Profiler didn't cross and i don't recognise her from anything else. brilliant fodder for the Clothing and hair thread, tho'. thanks again.
Crow T. Robot
I mainly know her as Neve Campbell's college roommate on Party Of Five--she was being physically abused by her boyfriend, but then Neve stole said boyfriend, and then Neve was physically abused by the guy. Then Neve dumped him and she and H. McC. were friends again. Of course, I am the only person on earth who watched Party of Five, so this may not be relevant or helpful.
Crass
I saw the guy who played Robert Patrick Modell (Pusher) in one of those Lifetime Movie of the Week things and he was even dressed the same way and with exactly the same hairstyle as in the episode. It was freaky! His on-screen daughter was crying that no-one liked her and got all suicidal about it and all I could think was: Hey, why doesn't he just make them like her?
ampersand
There's a nice Philadelphia Inquirer article about Peter Boyle, from "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose." According to the article he's a "patchouli-scented free spirit with a sensitive artistic temperament."

So, what is a patchouli, anyways?

ETA: It's apparently a small southeast Asian shrub with fragrant leaves. Who knew?
Ruby Trample of Woody End
It smeels purty as well. I think the dude who played the butt genie has a pretty significant part in Big Fish.
ejluther
not only was the butt genie in BIG FISH, his character's name is "Soggy Bottom"...
Ruby Trample of Woody End
oo,I missed that. I really liked him in the movie.
NickChick
Caught a PLATINUM BLONDE Robert Patrick standing beside Chris Noth in the preview for TNT' s Bad Apple and it gave me a happy that a) Robert's working and b) he's hanging out onscreen with Noth. It airs this month. Info here. Pic here.
Crow T. Robot
The commercials for Bad Apple have been running for a while, but only last week did my husband and I notice RP in them. I don't know if different commercials were airing before that, or if we were just not observant. Anyway, the other day the commercial came on, and we both did double-takes: "Was that who I thought it was?" Yep. Very weird.

However, it does mess up the fictional universe even more. See, Richard Belzer played John Munch on both Law & Order: SVU and in Unusual Suspects. Therefore, the X-Files and L&O exist in the same universe. So it messes with my head when RP and Chris Noth are onscreen together as different characters. (Sort of like when Lenny Briscoe talks about Sex in the City.) Not as bad as trying to understand the mytharc, though.
Scrambled Eggs
Saw Miracle tonight. Don Davis has a small role in it as a higher-up at the Amateur Hockey Association.
Slippin' Mickeys
Um, did anyone else watch reruns of Cool Runnings only to catch three second glimpses of David Lovgren (Kurt Crawford)? Just me, then?
Isaboe
Doug Hutchison(sp?) is on CSI Miami tonight. Wonder if he ate the liver! ;P
Ipstenu
Krychek will be on CSI on the 19th. He'll be Catherine's love slave. Sadly, this is CBS, so at most we can hope for shirtless Nick Lea.
Kanel
Fantastic, Ipstenu! Of course, I'll have to wait for a few months or a year or whatever, but I will get to see it someday.

Seriously looking forward to that one...
pusher
Last night I think I flipped passed him on Judging Amy. He was hugging a little boy in a courtroom right before a commercial. I forgot to go back to make sure it was him
Scrambled Eggs
Must remind myself: Next week, watch CSI for the first time.
MeerkatNotMink
Last night I think I flipped passed him on Judging Amy. He was hugging a little boy in a courtroom right before a commercial. I forgot to go back to make sure it was him

Yup, that was him.

I flipped past the opening & saw his name on the guest list - then I flipped past again later & caught a scene where a lawyer refereed to his character as someone who "ratted out" his friends. Which naturally made me giggle.
DD_lurve
Pusher was on Millennium, CC's other show, today, along with someone else who I swear was on XF once too. Maybe that poor doomed FBI agent who got killed by the ABH in a really early episode...
NickChick
Gah! Forum gremlins ate me post.

Oooh. Where are you seeing Millennium? I've been in withdrawal for it since it departed FX a couple of years ago.

Finally saw the CSI teaser, and well, damn. Since it looks like Nic will finally get to mack on someone. anyone, I'll have to give it an hour...

ETA -- Rob Bowman is directing the new Dark Shadows pilot.

ETA2 -- Watched Bad Apple on TNT tonight, and oh my Lord, Robert Patrick is a funny, funny man. Comedy platinum, folks. The whole thing is a scream, but he is just perfect as a gleefully sadistic chainsaw-wielding "cleaner" who has a penchant for listening to and singing "Someone Left a Cake Out in the Rain." Highly recommend this.
DD_lurve
Milennium is on a digital (only Canadian?) channel called 'Scream' at 5:00pm weekdays, if that helps. Oh yeah, and when Pusher was on, let's just say that the years have not been kind. (Dude, the guy is fat!)
Crow T. Robot
Watched CSI. The years have been pretty dang kind to Nic Lea.
NickChick
He is pretty, isn't he? It was sort of jarring to see him as a nice guy. But in a good way. Caught a much younger version of him on some cheesy silly Sci-Fi movie this afternoon, and I definitely prefer the current version. =D

Saw that Zuleikha Robinson is the female lead in Viggo Mortenson's new flick, Hidalgo, and that gave me quite a happy. I really did not care for her as Yves at the outset of Lone Gunmen, but by midway through the run I had really started to like her. I'm glad she's working.
Warden
I was watching Smallville last night and saw Bruce Harwood on there playing a rescue chopper pilot who was on the Luthor payroll.
Slippin' Mickeys
So I just had a Hey, It's That Guy! moment at work. Patrick Kilpatrick, the one of the brothers from Surekill was just in here.

Instead of saying, have a seat, I'll call her, I almost really said "hey! you're THAT guy!"
DD_lurve
Could have been worse. You could have said: "Hey! You're that guy! Why'd you agree to do such a boring episode?"

I have a HITG question: Was the Sheriff Jim-Jim the Dog Faced Boy in any other episodes? Because he looked really familiar, but not just fromt the one episode.
Slippin' Mickeys
Hee. How many other show's could you actually say
Was the Sheriff Jim-Jim the Dog Faced Boy in any other episodes?
and be totally serious?

I don't think he was in any other episodes. Maybe he's just got one of those faces. He did an excellent job, though. One of my favorite moments in the show, ever, is when Mulder opens the door and he's standing there holding the chains hooked to Dr. Blockhead's chest and he goes "look what I caught!" <yank> and Blockhead's all "ow!"

Good times.
bluishorange
his name is wayne grace. here's a list of everything he's done, which includes only one episode of the x-files.

"Investigation isn't going too well, is it?"
ToughCookie42
I saw Bruce Harwood on "The L-Word" on Showtime, very brief part, he was a hotel desk clerk.
And Pruitt Taylor Vince from "Unruhe" was in the movie "Monster." He got a very special present from Charlize Theron...
Live Bait
Heh. Yes, it was funny to see Bruce Harwood looking like Byers, but behaving nothing like him on “the L-Word”… On the other side, John Neville as an evil attorney on “Queer as folk” season 2, could have been WMM’s secret identity: working as an evil attorney in Pittsburg after faking his own death in FTF.
Slippin' Mickeys
Hmm, should be interesting, Felicity Huffman (from the best. episode. ever.) is joining Marica Cross (Everwood), Eva Longoria and Teri Hatcher in a pilot for ABC called Desperate Housewives.

Thoughts?
Corikins
Speaking of HITG Patrick Killpatrick... (who, btw, also had a medium sized role in Minority Report). I met him at a Sci Fi Con (shut up) once. He spent a great amount of time hitting on my 19 year old sister who just wanted to know what episode of the X-Files he was in. Major weird-o. He kept asking us what "turns us on" and "what the most naughty thing we ever did was" Blech. Creep-ola. Avert your eyes next time you see him.
Slippin' Mickeys
Apparently, Patrick Kilpatrick is a total flake, too. He was supposed to show up here about three hours ago and has neither called, nor, well... showed up. So now if he does show, I get to lie to him and say that the person he came to see left.

Lying to successful actors... I feel like a Hollywood player already!
NickChick
Gorgeous as ever Zuleikha Robinson pics here and here from the Hidalgo premiere.
Ruby Trample of Woody End
Apparently, Patrick Kilpatrick is a total flake, too

An actor - a flake? Quel surprise.

And I think I resemble that remark.
NickChick
Robert Patrick is guesting in the two-hour premiere episode of the Stargate: SG-1 spinoff, Atlantis.
Warden
I'm watching Snakehead Terror on SCIFI and William B. Davis is listed as a character.
Kanel
Whoa. Is that Duane Barry? On Hitchhiker right at this minute.

Yup, I believe it is.

He looks young and has a very snazzy walk. No alien abductions yet, I guess.
NickChick
I think this is okay here -- Tim Minear wants your eyeballs.
Ruby Trample of Woody End
I watched Wonderfalls last night because of Mr. Minear's plea - I liked it well enough and will give it another chance tonight but was of course amused by Mr. Minear's casting of the lovely and talented Diana Scarwid who was of course Pusher's sister in Kitsungari, written by none other than Tim Minear.

I liked her doing comedy a lot! I've only ever seen her in dramas (No! more wire hangers).
