What is the name of Babette's tall beatnick "husband"?
I want to vote for him.
He is cool, daddy-o.

I would definitely vote for Luke since you have him on the list ... but I consider him more than a townie. My favorite townie other than Luke is Kirk for sure ... I love the comedic relief he brings to the show and all his quirkiness! You never know what he's going to be doing next ... and I especially love the way he interacts with Luke. Lane follows closely behind Kirk IMO.

Babette's husband's name is Morey.
Yeah, I really don't consider Luke or Lane townies, so based on that it's all about Kirk. Or maybe Babette - I love that she is always screaming. Hee.
Gypsy's good too, though.
Yay, townies.

I'm almost all about the townies (and LUke is #1, of course)...for God's sake, Miss Steph and I are writing epics about Gypsy and Andrew.

I totally voted for Kirk because I think that he is the Townie taken to the max. Everything about his character is written with such exageration that it makes me want to love him even more.

I voted for Luke because . . .well . . .he's Luke. But I agree with everyone who doesn't really consider him a "Townie." If we were going with true "townies," I'd totally vote for Kirk.
Or Gypsy.
Or Miss Patty.
Or Babette.
Or Morey.

That's actually why I DON'T like Kirk. I hate how exaggerated and over-the-top he is---but I know that puts me in the definite minority!
I voted for Luke because, well, I love and adore Luke beyond all reason. Change the title of this poll to 'hottest, most compelling, appealing and drool-worthy male TV character EVER" and chances are that Luke STILL would have gotten my vote regardless of who any of the other choices might have been! I did love Dave, though, and I've grown more and more fond of Lane. At this point, Dean, due to his stalker-esque behavior, deadly dullness and the frustrating storylines in which he was involved, might rank as my least favorite...even behind Jess and the Troubador!

I don't know - I love Luke to death, but I just don't consider him a Townie. He's too much of a main character for me to classify him under a Townie. Same goes for Lane. I think the whole idea of being a Townie is that question: who are they? We know too much about Luke and Lane. I like not knowing a lot about the Townies... I think it makes it more fun.

I don't know whether or not I consider Luke a Townie, but I know he'd hate being voted The Ultimate Townie. The parade through town (with Luke being carried aloft by a group of unnamed lesser-townies, and Kirk running ahead to toss the rose petals), followed by the ceremoney where Luke would be crowned with the Crown of Stars....
I think this whole thing could solve the Lorelai-wants-to-travel nonsense, since if faced with this, Luke would be on the plane before Lor could finish packing.
Although I'm sure it would make him very happy to know that his winning would probably kill Taylor.

I had to go with Luke. Before he hooked up with Lorelai, I considered him a "townie" just like the rest of the gang. I love his grouchiness and anti-townie-ness so much.

I don't think I can answer this...it would just be wrong.
