Avoiding the spoileriness of the rest of the article, I pulled this from a recent posting at TrekToday:
Berman also noted that the staff is looking for a way to honor Kellie Waymire (Elizabeth Cutler), who passed away in November 2003. "We had hoped Kellie would come back as well," Berman said. "We have discussed some way of honoring her and we'll be looking into that in the next few weeks."
It's about DAMN TIME! Putz.

Go easy on them, keckler. It's only been two months. How compassionate of Bermy. I'm sure the Hallmark Belated Sympathies card is in the mail as well.

Oh, right. I forgot how HARD it is just to put her name and "In Memory of" at the end of the credits post-production!
Silly me, I got carried away. Her being NOT ALIVE and all.

I hate to be cynical, but it sounds to me like Bermy's running some spin control. Probably in response to fans wondering why TPTB haven't acknowledged the tragic death of a recurring cast member. "See, everybody? We do care!" Grr.

Perhaps- I know I'm reaching- they were preparing something more, like actually mentioning her (or Cutler, which would be a bit off) in the script, or taping something with the cast.
Ah, hope springs eternal...

That. That is just funny.

Maybe her death will prompt Archer to actually mourn instead of just bliking and moving on as he did with the death of the first crew member.

Aww, nelamm. Forever the Bermagan optimist. Perhaps you're right. And Shatner just may stop sporting his collection of designer girdles.
I think if Bermaga actually cared, they would've at least done the whole "In Memoriam" thing as soon as possible after her death. Then if they wanted to address her character in a later ep, they could still do it anyway.

Let's hope they get her gender correctly too, unlike how they did with Crewman Fuller in
"Anomaly".

Hee!
I want to see a heartwrenching, emotional scene from Phlox regarding her death.

I have this weird feeling that they (TPTB) weren't going to do a thing, but Scott Bakula may have embarrassed them into it. He gave her a dignified little tribute at the end of one of his online chats. It wasn't over the top or anything, I thought. After this much time has passed, I don't think there's much they can do that won't seem a little tacky or overblown in comparison.
Now, some sort of episode tribute to Crewman Cutler, that would be nice. (I remember her as being a crewman, not an ensign. Am I nuts?)

I kinda also thought she was a crewman, so I went to Startrek.com to check. Strangely enough, she doesn't show up in the credits for "Dear Doctor," which is the only episode I can absolutely remember her being in. She's not listed in the characters section of the site, either (even though such noted Enterprise guest characters as Odo and Neelix are). So... I don't know.

Good idea! I just looked up
"Strange New World" (because that's the only one
I could remember) and she was listed as Crewman Elizabeth Cutler. Nice to know I'm not losing my mind.

The latest Communicator calls her "Ensign" in a tribute, but I think that's a holdover from Roddenberry's "no enlisted" rule.
The third episode she was in was "Two Days and Two Nights."

I missed the show last night: Did Bermaga finally pay any sort of recognition or respect to Kellie?

Not sure if this should go here or in Phasers Set to Trekkie, but:
I dreamed part of an episode last night, where Reed and an Uh-Oh were in an elevator with Scrunchie, just as an anomaly passed through.
I thought, in the dream, "Of course! That's why they're taking so long--they had to construct a digital double to give her one last scene on the show. We've been so wrong about them being jerks. They just wanted to get it right."
My fanwankery is determined to take over my brain, even if it has to steal control while I'm unconscious.

From "Zero Hour":
And that reminds me- the season is over, and nothing about Kellie Waymire. Not even a mention of Cutler.
Hey, yeah! I was willing to cut Bermaga some slack, because I'd read spoilers for "Damage", and I'd hoped they'd do it then, with Cutler being counted among the dead. I'd even heard about the plotline of Trip writing to some crewman's parents, and thought it might be Cutler, and it would make a good tribute. You know, balancing out being late by being significant.
But no, nothing. Not even an "in memoriam" card at the end of an episode.

The worst of it was, when they showed Zero Hour here, they followed it with a repeat of Strange New World and still nothing. I think they could easily have stuck up a tribute card. She was really good in that episode, too.

Maybe Kellie was secretly on the outs with Berm or Aga. I just saw a tribute for someone at the end of last week's show, yet still no mention of Waymire. Makes me mad.

Even if she was on the outs, man, the chick DIED! Face it, Bermaga are just assholes.

What makes it worse is that in an interview they throw out the line that "we hope to do something to remember Kellie Waymire" or words to that effect - as if they'd be doing her such a favor to give her any attention. Then they do nothing, anyway. Way to respect the dead, Bermy.

Finally got around to see my Wonderfalls DVDs, which included an episode that Kellie Waymire had a big guest star role in. Unfortunately that episode never made it to air. There was a simple "in memory of" card at the beginning of the end credits, and the commentary for the episode ("Safety Canary") praised and talked about her quite a bit. Did TPTB on the Enterprise side ever do anything?

No. Unless somebody said something on the S1 DVD.
