At least you know you'll be getting it on TV, Woody. We can't even be sure we'll get it here. Last season was 3 months late, so most of us had to download it.
So, where do you think everyone went? It's awful quiet around these parts lately. You didn't scare them away again, did you? lol

Hee! Welcome back! And nice to see you again, Woodlock. Nice to be back for new Survivor episodes, even if it means having a lot to watch on television and not enjoying going out on Thursdays as I have done so several times over the past 4 months!

Hey
Shouldbe WElcome back
I would also like to say hello to the new Mod.
Nice to be back for new Survivor episodes, even if it means having a lot to watch on television and not enjoying going out on Thursdays as I have done so several times over the past 4 months!
Now we get to be couch potatoes and watch another batch of models/actors duke it out, this time, in China.
I'm so glad it's back!!

I can't believe the show is starting tonight. Due to never seeing commercials anymore, I hadn't realized it was this week. There are huge promotional photos all over Grand Central, but no premiere date, just Thursdays at 8 on CBS.

I am so not ready for the show to start. I have to work tonight anyway, and I forgot to set up my VCR, so I'll have to rely on recaps for the first week. Boo!
I asked my work to give me Thursdays off for now on since "I need a day I can count on to set up doctors' appointments, etc." Which is true, but somehow I forgot to mention "Survivor and the Office are on that night, and there's no way I'm missing them!" Heh.

Not enough drinking, VB haha.
Hey everyone! bout time this place become active again yay.
So because the manager at one of my jobs got fired I had to work last night :(, normally I'm not avaible for either one on Wensdays and Thursdays after 6 pm lol. You know what's a boy to do, I got tv to watch, but luickly CBS pulled through and had it online like a little past 11.
By the way ya'll (sorry unfortuanly my southern roots sometimes come and attach me like that), I totally heart my new boyfriend Todd.

Good heavens. Many familiar faces! If we ever see BKB in these parts again I'll keel over from the shock. but not Awe.
I am firmly on the James fan wagon here--I hope he buries the competition. (Sorry! Muscle spasm! Not my fault!)
I'm a little concerned with how much I also enjoy Ugly Betty. I may have a dilemma.
What else is everybody watching this fall? I've got yer bad reality TV: Dancing with the stars, ANTM, Beauty and the Geek; your Classic reality TV (Peachy and Friends), and your terrific show that EVERYBODY should be watching, even Woodlock: Friday Night Lights.
col1999
Sep 21, 2007 @ 3:12 pm
Hildy, bite your tongue! Dancing With the Stars is NOT bad reality TV! It's awesome!
Besides that, and Survivor, I'm watching the Office and (maybe) My Name is Earl and (maybe) Deperate Housewives. Other shows may pop up as time allows.

Ha ha ha!! I like James too, I sure hope he doesn't turn out to be a jerk. I like the lunch lady too, she seems like a sweetie.
I'll be watching Dancing With the Stars, and I can't wait for Boston Legal to come back. Yay, new fall shows!

The full episodes on CBS.com are only available to people in the US. (Not that it's such a great loss, since subjecting yourself to Innertube's slow loading times, half-broken interface and so on is only marginally preferable to slow death.)

VB, I just got that DVD set as well, but haven't watched yet. The premiere is this Friday, I believe.
So I wonder if we'll see Yogi in these parts. I was thinking of her and her poor Mets fan husband this weekend. Nobody wants to see their team end a season like that. Yuck.

Wow, what a shock!
Occasionally, I walk past this old bar and grill, peek between the boards covering the windows into the dark, cob-webbed space beyond and remember raising a glass or two... How fun to see the place getting swept out and restocked.
New Favorite Show: Heroes - I'm totally hooked since I got the DVDs of season 1. Monday nights will never be the same.
But Thursday is always the best. Love this game.

Well hi there, Yogi. It has been too long, indeed. Missed you. What's up?
I'm just searching for a blender, myself. :)
So far, I'm sorely disappointed in Bionic Woman. It could be a lot better. And chessier.
Anyway, where is that blender?
yogi bear
Oct 6, 2007 @ 11:36 am
Hey vb! Birdllady!
I think the blender was taken by looters a couple of years ago. I'll chip in for a new one - stainless steel, with lots of shakers at the ready!
How could anyone be the Bionic Woman but Linda Carter? It's just wrong on so many levels. No one filled out a superhero corset like her!
My good news: I have a new golden retriever! My beloved dog died last year, the day before Thanksgiving, and my grief was too much for a very long time to bring a new animal into the family. But two weeks ago, we rescued an 11 month old male who was raised to be in a show dog. He rebelled against his seven generations of championship lineage and chewed his tail until it was unrecognizable as a golden. (I can't resist a rebel!) The owners stopped taking care of him and eventually returned him to the breeder where he languished in a crate until we inquired. Two weeks and lots of vet visits and medicine later, he is starting to look GORGEOUS. He hasn't touched his tail since we brought him home, but he has gone through $200 worth of toys (he's a bit mouthy, to say the least.) And the housebreaking might do me in. But I love him. He goes everywhere with me all day long, sleeping at my feet while I work. He is such a joy! His name is Samwise, after the best friend and companion from LOTR.
How about youse guys? What's the news?

Hey Woodlock!
I have one word to say to you: PLEATHER?!?
Good Gravy Marie - that just sounds unpleasant. Remeber the Friends episode where Ross got stuck in his pants while on a date? Yikes! So what's the Halloween costume?
My mom, sister, me and the cousins are going to be in Disneyworld next week, and there is a Halloween party in the park. My son is going as James Bond, so we figured - tuxedo, right? But a tuxedo is not comfortable or practical in Florida or a theme park. So we decided - TUXEDO T-SHIRT - so tacky, it's cool! Plus, no worries if it gets destroyed - it cost $16. Pretty cool. We bought a plastic martini glass and plastic gun and made him a very official looking Lisence to Kill badge. So, Bob's your Uncle - he's a very creative James Bond, don't you think?
One of my friends suggested that the real prop we should give him is a 25 year old supermodel, but he's going to have to get that for himself.....
Hi IMissEthan! Thanks for the correction. It's important to keep your 1980s superheroes in order. If we don't hold up the high standards, by God, who will?
Woodlock
Oct 7, 2007 @ 1:02 pm
Haha, I'm going as a masochist, I have a friend that is going to be my dominatrix. But I'm thinking the pants are the least of my worries, cause instead of wearing a shirt or anything, I'm going to be wrapped in bondage tape, Can you say ouch? lol

I wish I could celebrate Halloween this year, since it's one of my very favorite holidays, but my husband just got a job at a VERY CONSERVATIVE academy that would kind of frown upon it. So I think we're going to have to sneak out and go to haunted houses and corn mazes without setting up, like, rows of ghosts or witches down our front driveway like I would want.

I don't really celebrate Halloween anymore, both of my kids are grown now, and I don't get trick-or-treaters out here in the middle of nowhere. I kinda miss seeing the little kids, they're always so cute. I hope to hear some wonderful stories from everyone of parties and the greatest candy night of the year!
ETA: you have my sympathy
hegellite. I love to see the decorations that people use to celebrate the holidays. At least you should be able to go nuts for Thanksgiving and Christmas, right?
Woodlock
Oct 8, 2007 @ 7:58 pm
Hegellite, since you can't decorate the outside, you should decorate the inside even more. When I get a place all to myself I will have a Halloween room all year round.
yogi bear
Oct 9, 2007 @ 7:12 am
A Hallowen Room - What a fabulous idea, Woodlock! My Mom's favorite holiday is Christmas, and she has always talked about having a room for all her many decorations. Instead, she has a family room with one of those villages set up all year round. She had shelves built around the top of the room, and the village is all set up on that. It's charming.
Perhaps a harvest theme would be acceptable in a conservative area? I love pumpkins. And maybe you could throw in a spider or two just for fun. But I can see how that would be a let down if one envisioned ghosts and witches down the driveway.... I love Halloween.
My sister found little gossamer black capes and hats for my mom, me and her. So I guess we will be the three witches - like Macbeth!
