I'm Boston Rob according to that quiz as well, and I don't think I answered that way. I think there's something screwy there. Also, it says the test was created by Robert C. - hmmmm....

The quiz link didn't work for me (waving finger in Hildy's face a la Alicia.) I want to be somebody too!
Heh - Heidihug. Distance and Little Yogi's illness brought my friendship with those girls to an end. I pretty much forgave them their insanity the next morning. One was over at my apartment for breakfast. It takes more tha a cat fight to get rid of me! Heh.
Thanks for the description of a corner lazy susan, boodie. That sounds like a good use of space.

Hi all!! Hildy that link didn't work for me either. Bummer!! Maybe it's for the best, I'd probably find out I'm Shii Anne!!
Yogi are there any leftovers from yesterday's party? I've got the virtual vodka if you'd like to get it started again. Just like you I think any reason is a good enough reason to celebrate. And today's reason? Survivor's on! I really loved your catfight story too. Hee hee!!
PrincessAussiePeachy you're gonna love The Apprentice. I didn't watch it for the first few episodes, but then I caught the clip show late one night, and I was hooked. And Miss Alli's recaps are hysterical!!
Dodo, you're Alicia?!! That's so funny! You don't seem like the finger-wavin', head-wagglin' type at all! I hope it means that, like Alicia, you don't take crap from anyone. I'm usually such a wimpy pushover (plus I'm pretty gullible to my shame!) that people can walk all over me.
Welcome Bodie! When do you come back to the States, and which State are you coming to? And by the way, I love Big Tom! He makes me laugh just about every time he's on the screen.
I'm sure MrsKarateKate must still be on her honeymoon? I sure hope she's having a fantastic time!
Have a great night everyone, enjoy the show!!

Try
this...that link didn't work for me either, so I poked around the site until I found it.
Actually, out of the results people have listed, I probably am most like Alicia. Usually, I'm going to wind up identifying with an independent, intelligent female (which to some extent she fits) more so than most males, even though I don't see myself as female or have any desire to "switch". But a lot of my viewpoints are the same. It's probably a combination of being brought up mainly by women and having to deal with a lot of the same crap from men.

And birdlady, there's always more and plenty in the Meet Market! Have a margarita. I'm going to California tomorrow, so as far as I'm concerned, Cinco de Mayo lasts another 48 hours at least so I can eat some real Mexican food.

Hey Bodie have you enjoyed living in Switzerland? I thought it was a fabulous place. I spent a few days near a place called Fluellen (I think that's how you spell it). Beautiful, just a gorgeous country. Are you looking forward to going back to the US? I'm sure everything will go well re finding a place to live.
Hello rainbowbrite! Re Boston Rob's accent - it's funny, to my ears he doesn't even seem to have one. When I lived in the US quite a few people asked me if I was from Boston, cause they reckon I spoke like I was from there. I can understand him just fine. Big Tom, on the other hand, I'm really starting to wonder why they translate only part of what he says, usually the bit that you can understand, while the mumble mumble bits aren't translated.
Yeah!!! Only one more sleep to go, Yogi! Will you be able to post while you're in CA? Hope you have the best time!
Enjoy your Survivor Thursday guys. At least this time I don't have so much cause to be jealous - we get the same ep you're watching now, tomorrow night! I did have plans to go out for dinner, but that's now cancelled. Of course.

Hey PiP! I like Rupert too, although he did make some silly mistakes (the shelter ie), and despite his fishing rambles. I still think he's the best out of all that are left, and hope he makes it to F2. Boston Rob on the other hand, screwed over so many people (Lex, Kathy, Alicia - that's probably 3 votes for the other person already) and along the way forgot that if he makes it to F2, they ain't gonna forget that.
Anyway, how's things going in OR, Pip?

Y'll, I'm totally feklempt....
Tonight while I was packing my bag with those last few things, Little Yogi walked in with an early Mother's Day card for me. It was made of blue construction paper. On the front was a yogi bear made of glitter. He even had the green glitter tie and the green glitter pork pie hat. There were hearts all around him. On the inside it said, "you're my yogi bear." sniff, sniff... Just when I think he's about done me in, he turns around and breaks my heart open all over again.
So I'm off to San Diego for a visit to both beach and mountain, PiP. I'm taking my computer and some great DVDs from the 1950s - Designing Woman, How to Marry a Millionaire, and Bell, Book, and Candle, which is the film that Bewitched was based on. Fun. Also, this way I can check in and Meet Market to report my little adventures.
So skagirl, can you be ready at 6:30 tomorrow? Heh, Heh, Heh.
Oh I'll tell, now that Aussie Girl has 'fessed up to being Tina, I will too. I'm Tina. I'm so ashamed. What's a mother to do? Ugh. I really wanted to be Alicia. I have Alicia Envy, Last Dodo.

Aww, Yogi, that is the sweetest thing I'm heard in many a day. Bring the card with you! I'm sure skagirl will hold it for you on the plane.
Have a lovely vacation and be sure to tell us your adventures. You seem to have so many. One day you're dancing tipsily on a truck in a parade in Atlanta (NOT Hot-lanta), or was it Philly?, the next you're mediating a catfight in Paris, the next you're walking a maze. It's hard to keep up, I tell you!

Hee. I've met TraceyBee, and I can assure you, she's not Big Tom. (And you share both initials with him, TB, I do believe.) Another Tina here. Not terribly happy about it, but I'm in excellent company, so that's a consolation.
iME, I'm so jealous of you for all the great Broadway shows you've seen (a little cross-boards conversation here). What are some highlights? I don't have nearly your experience, but I did see Les Miserables on Broadway and some excellent performances in London (Ben Kingsley, Helen Mirren, Felicity Kendall...)
Well, I told you all that we're moving to Hawai'i in a few years (finally Fedexed all the paperwork yesterday, so it should officially be ours by about mid-week), but what I didn't tell you was the reason. Mr. Lu. has prostate cancer and, while the prognosis isn't dire, it's not all that great, either. We're both very hopeful, though, that he'll be completely cured. It was kind of a wake-up call, so we decided we'd try to live our dream as early as we can because you never know, do you? Anyway, he's having seed implants on Monday, so, if you're so inclined, good thoughts and/or prayers would be greatly appreciated.
And everybody have a great Sunday night watching the finale. I, for one, am hoping to see the TAR preview. I haven't been able to get it to work on-line.

Oh Yogi! What a sweet, wonderful story! My "babies" are 21 and 19 now, so I really miss the homemade construction paper type of Mother's Day. I still have a few of the relics my kids made for me in school. It really makes me smile when I pull my holiday stuff out and come across my kids' "artistic" endeavors. Enjoy Yogi and everyone else with young ones... before you know it, your kids are young adults and you don't get any more of the wonderful, sappy construction paper and glue cards.
I'm awfully glad so many people were Rupert in that quiz. I don't feel so bad now, knowing that I'm in such good company!
And Dodo, I'd still rather be Alicia!!
ETA Babalu I'm so praying for Mr.Lu as we all are I'm sure. And if I were contemplating a really scary/tough/exhausting/frustrating time, I can't think of a better place to do it than Hawaii. Please keep us posted.
And I'd love to hear some good news about your dad pixie dust. Or anything else you might want to say.

Babalu, so very sorry to hear that. I know that everyone here will be sending you both lots of love and prayers. Let us know how things are going, and hold the thought of your wonderful lives in Hawaii close to you.
Yogi , how precious and beautiful your son is! Children truly are the most amazing beings. One moment they have you ready to tear your hair out and go insane, and the next they make you laugh, and the next you're snuggling up to this little person in wonderment. My 3 year old made a little Mother's Day something for me in Play Group the other day, but ate it as soon as he got home! He thinks the basket it went in is the gift, and it is. My 11 year old has been sneaking around, hiding stuff, so I'll find out what that is tomorrow.
I usually do absolutely nothing on Mothers Day, with Mr Aussie doing the cooking, cleaning, and childing, and I just usually hang around, but tomorrow I really want to be with my mum, so we'll be heading over there sometime to take her out someplace nice.
The Finale airs here on Monday night, which because of the time difference is only about 7 hours after the US gets it, so I've arranged to get together with a few other TWoP'ers in the area to watch. They all seem pretty young, not sure what we'll have in common apart from Survivor, but it should be good anyway. In the meantime, I won't be logging on here or onto any other sites once it's on in the US - I've known each episode who gets the boot, and I definitely do not want to be spoiled when it comes to knowing who is the biggest ASS of them all.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!

Happy (Early) Mothers Day to all of you that it applies to! I don't think I'll be around to say it on the actual day.
I came out as Boston Rob, which I guess is fine with me. I have the accent at least
I really want to thank anyone who has prayed or sent positive engery to my dad. He has had an amazing week with almost no symptoms or problems, and the doctors are really happy with how he is doing. He starts radiation and chemo next week, so I'm hoping he stays well. Its hard when he is so...himself- it makes me scared that he will eventually get worse again, and I dont think I can take it. My family and I are saying that we are willing and praying away his tumor little by little and that they need to do another MRI before treatment starts because his tumor will already be gone by then. A girl can hope, right?
Babalu, you will be in all my thoughts and prayers- and believe me, I'm doing alot of praying and thinking! Positive energy is so helpful, and just from reading your posts, I know you have a lot of it in your life. I'm thinking of you!
AussieGirl
May 8, 2004 @ 7:29 pm
Beautiful pixie, so nice to hear from you. I'm glad your dad is doing well. Get the MRI before the treatment - I have seen with my own eyes cases where literally, things have improved so much, doctors have been astounded at the cancer just "disappearing" or improving, and treatment either not necessary or modified. And continue with your positive thinking, it helps incredibly. And lots of love and hugs to you and all your family.
Babalu, thinking of you also, and sending love and prayers and hugs your way. Let us know how things go.
Well, I have enjoyed my Mother's Day morning so far. Slept in till 8.30am, and the boys and Mr Aussie made me a nice breakfast - lovely to not have to cook it myself! The kids had gotten me some lovely little things, they were sitting there grinning up at me with their gorgeous little faces, and Mr Aussie got me a CD Clock Radio, which is exactly what I wanted. I love listening to nice music before going to sleep, and littlest Aussie broke my old CD player some months back, so it will be nice to listen tonight, right after I have an uninterrupted lavender bath! Bliss! The thing I like about Mother's Day most, is to not have to be a mother! Get the whole day off! To do what I like! Yeah!
Got to go, we're picking up my mum and going to my sister's house for a gourmet lunch. Have a wonderful day, all you mums out there!

Hey, skagirl - big greetings back at you! Why no pictures of you from the GuidoCon this time? I can't wait to meet you at TARCon. The start of the TAR season works out well for me because Mr. Lu should be done with his radiation (he has 5 weeks of external beam radiation this summer, in addition to the brachytherapy tomorrow) by then.

Happy Mother's Day to Meet Marketeers, One and All!
Sending my best intentions for excellent health to both Papa Pixie and Mr. Babalu. Know that miracles happen around us and in us every single day, Pixie, so you keep right on doing that thing you all are doing. I am so glad that your dad has had a good week; you and your family have been very much in my thoughts and prayers. And Babalu, from here in my own little paradise, I'm going to be sending you and Mr. Babalu some powerfully loving support tomorrow. I'm going to be visualizing that radiation eating every last bit of that awful cancer, so that the debris just floats out of Mr. Babalu's body with each and every breath, leaving a clean healthy body to enjoy years of sunsets from your own little Hawaiian paradise.
This morning, my friend and I woke up at 7 AM and went right down to the beach. We were in a cove, and the tide was coming in so powerfully that we kept being pulled off our feet even though we were only in the water up to our knees and thighs. Every time we got knocked over, we absolutely howled with laughter. So I spent the first three hours of this morning wet, sandy, and howling with laughter. Then, we went back to the hotel and ate huge frittatas that we washed down with Veuve Cliquot. What a great Mother's Day - I got to be the child!
I think we should all follow Aussie Girl's excellent example and take lavendar bubble bath - of course that's after Survivor, which in my case is on in twenty minutes. Enjoy, Meet Marketers!

OK, so true story about yesterday. I was cleaning my place and I called my mom up to ask her if she thought my throw pillows were washable. (Turns out they are, in case anyone cares.) And then I was like, "I know there's something else I wanted to ask you or tell you but I can't remember what it is...I guess I'll just call you back later if I think of it." And it took almost an hour but then I was like, "HELLO!" So I called her back immediately to wish her a happy Mother's Day. She just thought it was funny. I did too, but I felt like such a moron!

Hi all!
I got to watch the Finale with a couple of other TWoP'ers here. Enjoyed it, especially getting more "Peachy in the chopper" footage. That was cool. I just wish it had been longer, to have questions answered ie: Sue/Richard controversy, purple rock, S10 location, and a few comments from Rob C. would have been good. Less Romber would have been even better. I'm going to vote for Rupert to get the mill, despite what Miss Alli says about him (don't ban me, Miss A!), I like him, he worked harder than all the others put together, and truly helped everyone else survive there. What did y'all think of the Finale?
Well, Mother's Day was good. A great lunch, and Mr Aussie taking care of the kids so I could remember what life was like pre-kids! Didn't get my lavender bath though, maybe soon.
Yogi, you and your beach dance/fall over sounds just delightful! You go, girl! Hope you have many happy times like that there!

Hey Gang!
I watched the finale with my friends here, Princess Peachy, and we also enjoyed all three hours immensely, particularly the Flying Peachy footage. He is so cute!
I thought of Mr. Babalu throughout my day today. I hope all went well.
I belly danced today, one of my favorite activities when I journey out to California. I got to wear a leopard print hipscarf with lots and lots of gold coins to jingle. It belongs to my teacher, who I just love. I think all the positive encouragement from the jingling coins made me shimmy more successfully than ever before! I was making a profusion of jingling noise! There's nothing quite like a butt completely covered with a hundred gold coins to make a fashion statement that makes noise. It was quite fun. I have another lesson on Friday, and my teacher promised to teach me how to do large hip circles and walk at the same time. Is that not the most fun evah?!
I saw the sun rise this morning on my hike and I ate orange slices and comquats right off the tree. Eat the fruit and let the juice run down your thoat... (who said that?)
Your mother sounds like a darling, Last Dodo. What a sense of humor.
I hope you get that lavender bubble bath soon, Princess. You deserve it!!

Your mother sounds like a darling, Last Dodo. What a sense of humor.
Well, truth be told, she's kind of like Jekyll and Hyde. I'm either going to get the fun, witty, sweet, generous person my friends all loved growing up, or I'm going to get the overbearing, overprotective, button-pushing, self-esteem-squelching nag from hell, and I'm never quite certain which one it'll be. Sometimes it's both in the same phone call.
But, you know, I hardly think I'm the only child to think that about their parent, and as maddening as she can be at times, I'm glad I have her.

Eek! I fell asleep last night when I was supposed to be making supper. I dreamed that Rob Cesternino and Rob Mariano switched places in A.S.S. -- Rob C. got the girl and the second-place finish; Rob M. got booted early. Which is fine so far, but it gets worse. Oh. My. Heck,
Jennblevins. Now there's a sight that you really don't want invading your dreaming hours. Or your waking hours for that matter.
Today on my hike, I saw big purple flowers with petals like bells. What are those flowers called? I always forget. They were so beautiful, I was tempted to pick one, but I was good, so that all the other hikers will enjoy them for weeks. I thought of the song about lillies of the valley, but these are much, much bigger, with bigger purple bells. Any thoughts?

May 11, 2004 @ 5:01 pm
Hi, yogi! Hmm. Might they actually BE bellflowers? But bellflowers are not really big, just medium size. They are blue, though. I love them and try to plant them in my garden every year.

May 11, 2004 @ 5:15 pm
Hi yogi were they hyacinths maybe? I don't know very much about flowers in CA, but the hyacinths are out around here now. They're usually not really tall, maybe about a foot, or a foot and a half tall. But they have beautiful bell-shaped clusters of flowers and they smell heavenly!! They come in a lot of different colors, purple and yellow and white and many, many lovely shades of pink!
yogi bear
May 11, 2004 @ 8:56 pm
Hey fellow flower lovers!
They aren't hyacinths, Birdlady. I love those too - especially the scent. Yum. I think Heidihug have it with the bellflowers. The flowers are actually a purpley blue, and that sounds like just the flower. Gosh, they sure are pretty. We have wild poppies in bloom right now. They are orange and grow in fields with some pink and red wild flowers that I also don't recognize. So, so pretty. I need to buy some sort of California wildflower book.
I slept nine hours last night - how shocking. I thought I might have died, but no, just rested really well. It's amazing how peppy I feel with sleep. Sleep - it's a good thing!

May 12, 2004 @ 8:36 am
Hmmm,
yogi, those do sound like bellflowers (also known as
campanulas). They come in all sizes and colors; I have some giant purply blue ones, and some small reddish and white ground covery ones. I love campanulas, I always find myself buying more when I make my annual perennial trip to the garden center.
and Nine Hours. Man. Jealous, jealous jealous over here. We all woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning. Have you ever had a morning that started out grumpy and just got worse? That would be today. Everybody was whiney, we were late, little boy got his fingers caught in the car window, little girl gave me a brisk rap in the jaw with her head when she was bouncing on a mini trampoline and I swear to Goddesses that said jaw could be dislocated.
And I have soemthing due today that I really, really do not want to do. sigh.
Well, after that little message of cheerfulness and light, I hope everybody else has a lovely day!
yogi bear
May 12, 2004 @ 9:39 am
So many varieties of bellflowers! I couldn't quite figure out the cm measurements. These grow on a central stalk about two feet tall and the bells hang down, while in those photos the bells all faced up. So, so pretty.
I'm so sorry that your day started off poopy, Hildy. If it's any consolation to you, a housekeeper banged on my door last night while I was in the tub until I got out and answered. And why? Was it an emergency? I think not. And you know how I feel about the sacred bathing experience. So I was grumpy last night too, if that's any consolation. And a grumpy bear is no joke! Consequently, I have prescribed a double dose of yoga today to get me back on the right track. I hope your day gets better soon.
The Last Dodo
May 12, 2004 @ 10:46 am
Hildy, oh man, have I ever had those days! Hang in there!
yogi, too bad you couldn't direct that housekeeper to
this FAQ!
So I bit the bullet today and sent my resume off to 8 real estate agencies, because my boss is going to be out of town Mon-Wed next week which will make it easy to slip out for interviews. I don't know why, but I am
terrified about it...I feel like I've jumped off a cliff!!! So far I've gotten one automated response for a career open house every Wednesday (literally right across the street from work, conveniently enough) and one that they're not hiring right now, but they'll be expanding in July, so check back then (from an actual human who replied to my thank you as well, so it's legit). Keep your fingers crossed!
In other news, good and bad of sorts, I got a custom tailored suit at Macy's back around Christmas, but when I tried it on last night in prep for possible interviews? I am SWIMMING in it. Did some research and fortunately there's an extremely reasonable tailor not too far from me who was mentioned in one of those Reader's Best of NYC polls (Macy's was expensive and took 2 weeks, and I don't have the time or the money). So if that goes well, I'm curious; if you have dress-type shirts that are too baggy and big, can you have those tailored as well? Because I have a few shirts now that would look even better if they were tighter on me.
Hildy
May 12, 2004 @ 2:27 pm
You go, Dodo! Taking a risk or making a big change is indeed scary, so you're being courageous just to take the first step. Whoot! for you!
and I do believe that dress shirts can be taken in, no problem. You could always just bring your fave to the reasonable tailor and ask them if it's feasible. I bet you'll look styling in the custom ensemble.
Oh, and yogi, I have a big tall campanula in my garden where the bellflower hang straight down; I didn't see it in the pictures on that site.
So y'all, I am very embarrassed to admit that I have become obsessed with Amber and Rob. What is wrong with me? Did that bump on the jaw send me into an alternate reality? I hate Boston Rob! Except now I think he's really, truly smitten by Amber, and it just makes me say, "awwwwwwww." Must get back to that mini trampoline pronto to whack me back into my own universe, b/c this liking of Rob and Amber might cause my head to fly off.
Oh, and another question: Has anybody out there ever had their legs waxed? Is it a long process? What's the pain factor, scale of one to ten? And is it worth the pain in terms of long-lastingness? Important questions, one and all.
Also, I think somebody here once posted about Dove products being great for skin and hair. I saw an add for some new Dove product, and it made me say Hmmm. Of course, can I remember the name of the new product? No, of course not. That would be too helpful.

I only had my legs waxed once, but I can tell you what I've been told. It's supposed to be more painful if you're in PMS mode, something about nerve endings and more sensitive skin at that time. It hurt me as much as it would have if a giant band-aid had been on my skin and ripped off suddenly - for a second and then it was fine.
I do know I would get a wax right before leaving for Survivor to delay the inevitable hair growth.

Hildy I'm so sorry you had such a lousy morning. Been there, done that. The only bright spot I can think of is it's bound to get better.
And Dodo good luck on the job search. I know it's kind of scary, but it's also very, very exciting, no? Anyway, my fingers (and toes!) are crossed for you!!
Also just wanted to say to pixie and Babalu, you're never far from my thoughts. In fact I find myself thinking of you at the oddest moments, just out of the blue. Sending lots of good wishes and positive energy to both of you!

Foxgloves. Someone told me the flowers are called foxgloves. I don't know why they are called that. Do foxes like to put their fingers into the little bells to simulate gloves? Anyway, I took multiple pictures today during my hike of both the bellflowers and the poppies - so pretty. I'll try to figure out how to share them when I get home.
Today on my photo-taking adventures, I spied a hummingbird nest. Remarkably, it was resting on top of a rope that is holding up a gong. Inside the nest, is Mama Hummingbird protecting her little egg - the size of my fingernail. It's the most amazing sight. I took numerous photos of that. It's my theme photo for mother's day week because of Mama Hummingbird's ferocity in the face of enourmous humans, whose eyes are bigger than her whole body, she proudly and fiercely remains to protect her egg. A moving sight.
I hope your day improved, Hildy. Who knew beneath that cynical (Heh) exterior hid the heart of a complete mush? Yet, Rob does seem to love his Ambuh, and let's face it, they are two eggs in a nest (sorry, I love to stretch a metaphor to the breaking point.) I think it will be a good marriage. I certainly wish them well.
Best of luck on the job front, Last Dodo. Good for you for stepping out. A nip and a tuck here and there, and you will be all turned out for your interviews. I've got my fingers crossed for you. (Well, I uncrossed them to type this... ) And I couldn't agree with the FAQ more on the bath issue. There is little that I can think of that would get me out of the tub without irritation. I mean really! Priorities, people, priorities!
I'm thinking of Pixie and Babalu too, Birdlady!

Helloooo you lovely people!
Hildy, hope your jaw did not get dislocated, and hope your day got better with lots of nice things happening for you. It's awful to start the day off with lots of yuk things going on. But I've got to say I think the bump you received has knocked you into an alternate reality. I mean, Rahb and Ambuh? I got the feeling at the reunion show that she really did not want to commit to the idea of a marriage, but in front of many millions of people, probably had no choice but to go along with it. Despite what her T shirt says, I think we'll see that in a few months, she'll call it off. Rahb then of course, will be phoning his old mate Lex for advice on his love life, and that's one conversation I'd like to hear!
Dodo all the very best of luck with your job hunting. I think you will do really well. Got everything crossed for you here, mate. Let us know how you go.
Yogi glad you are enjoying your holiday, re the housekeeper, what about a Do Not Disturb sign while you are enjoying your lovely sacred baths? And blessed sleep! Isn't it the most wonderful thing? After you have lived so long with sleep deprivation, and you get a loooong block of sleep, it's like you are so incredibly refreshed and bursting with life, and you remember that's what it was like before kids, and how much you took it for granted. 3 year old Aussie was a terrible sleeper for many years, but he sleeps through the night now, and what a difference that makes to all concerned.
We are getting the "America's Tribal Council" Survivor show here on Saturday, so I'm looking forward to that. Go Rupie!
Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday - BTW what will you all do on Thursday nights now? The day after the Reunion show I felt quite down, burned the dinner and generally felt out of sorts. Withdrawal symptoms - no Survivor (or Peachy) for the next few months. Sigh... Oh well, I guess The Apprentice will have to do for now.

I feel sad too. Even though I did not love this survivor, I will miss it a bit. Every reality show that I was interested in has run its course until July! If anyone has any suggestions of good shows (that I haven't missed the entire premise for) please let me know. For now I will probably just read random Twop boards.
Did I mention our building was hit by lightning on Friday? School was closed for the upteenth time. Now the lights are on...and off....and on....and off. It make computing a challenge. Not too mention 80 degrees without a fan (no a/c ever).
About 5 more weeks to go (as long as there aren't any more natural disasters closing the building), but for now its too busy and exhausting to get any dissertation done. I need some California I think!

if you have dress-type shirts that are too baggy and big, can you have those tailored as well? Because I have a few shirts now that would look even better if they were tighter on me.
They'll have no problem. I once bought a fancy shirt for Mr. S. that I couldn't find in a short sleeve length at Nordstrom's. They shortened the arms without a second thought (and the fact they UPS'd my surprise to my home address instead of my work, thus tipping off Mr. S got me the alteration for free -- after an angry phone call.)
Foxgloves. Someone told me the flowers are called foxgloves.
The foxes better use them as gloves, because if they ate them, they would die - they are very poisonous. And yet, the poison is useful in small doses - it's the plant source the heart medicine digitalis is derived from. (Sgt. Dietrich moment over)
