This is what I don't get, who do they think watches this show anyway. Isn't there a way to please the new viewers and the old? That's one of the things that got me watching again about 7 years ago. I flipped the channel and there was Monica, Alan, Bobbie, Luke, Edward, Lila ect..... yeah I thought the youger scene was interesting too but ulimately it was the smile I got seeing these old "friends" again. If not for them I probably wouldn't have gotten hooked again. Plus I was watching Sunset Beach at the time which was really starting to suck.

AJ stole his own son - that Sonny stole from HIM - and all he did was brainwash him about Sonny's feelings. Sonny stole Michael, nearly got him and his siblings killed many times over, and turned him into a mini-mobster murderer and Sonny is a "great parent"

Sorry all, catching up on a couple of pages and wanted to comment on this. Couldn't it be argued that brainwashing Michael is exactly what Sonny and Carly have done all along? They've been telling him since before he could talk that his bio dad wanted nothing to do with him and never loved him. All lies. While the rational Welsh Witch knows that it's wrong to kidnap children, the Vigilante Justice Welsh Witch can't help but feel that AJ wasn't doing anything but trying to un-do the damage that Sonny caused in the first place.

Here's what I've heard about Guza and Pratt:
Guza is responsible for the misogyny and violence. As has already been noted - he LOVES the asexual hitman. I would attribute the homoerotic woman hatin' vibe between SaSon totally to him.

Pratt is a shallow T&A guy but at least he isn't perpetrating the violence and misogyny. That's Guza's specialty.

Chiming in to say I watched the Liz tape, and just...wow. The sheer horror they were able to convey by good writing, good acting, or whatever it was, with half the graphic display of Em's ordeal. Admittedly a newer viewer to GH, I have a glimpse now of the days for which so many of you mourn. Most of the old clips I've watched just give a snippet, but this clip was long enough to tell something. I wish I had been a viewer all along. Well, maybe not, because I would probably be wedging myself into a seat on the barge. I don't know if Pruza wrote this or not, but I see a stark difference between then and now. Thanks to the poster who pasted the link.

The irresponsible portrayal of rape and coping with it should not just slide by. This is beyond incompetence - this sends dangerous messages to viewers, especially young women. I say we get the jump on any gushing praise by/for this latest twist in Gigli by putting a bug in the ear of the soap press.

I agree, Ms. Chicklet (by the way I read La Revalution and I loved it)

I was thinking the other day of everything wrong with this story. She didn't seek medical help or a day after pill even though she is a med student. She refused to be tested for STD's, she refuses counselling, and now she is going to have her fiance dress up as her rapist so they can act out the rape??? WTF

GH used to be great at writing social issuses, and they used them to inform the viewing audience. AIDS, breast cancer, older rape stories, even if the characters didn't respond just as they should, it was always explained what they should've done, and they were shown as wrong in their actions. Thank you for the list of address I'll be writing some kind of e-mail to all of them.

Well, for all the good it does, I emailed those 3 comment addresses. I made sure to not only point out how appalling this whole rape storyline has been, but also say how I think its long past time Emiwhiny/Nikowuss spent a bit of time on the backburner while Lucky and Elizabeth were allowed a little time in the forefront. It seems clear to me that the latter's airtime is sacrificed for the former's, and this is one of the many things GH needs to change.

Its impossible for me to comprehend. The ratings keep falling, or remain stagnant. They aren't attracting new viewers, and are losing viewers in droves, and yet they steadfastly refuse to change anything. In what bizarro universe does this make a lick of sense? Hell, if they attempt change, and they stay the same, then no harm, no foul, right?

Ah, but what am I saying, I forgot that this is supposed to be the summer of Maxiebelle and teen bridage. Oh yeah, that will bring them in droves. *RME*

Ms. Chicklet, a year or so ago I would have been on board for letters of protest. But the "Target GH" campaign non-response, and how ABC allows Guza & GH to intensify their stupifyingly self-important, regressive "vision" tells me any kind of reaction is bad. They hate being ignored. They love to outrage and then shove in our face that they'll do it again and we can't do anything. Hasn't that been the pattern? I remember being outraged 2 years ago. Don't think enough sponsors or ABC daytime have real standards for daytime material. They expect it to be offensive crap.

To me, tumbleweeds rolling through the message boards, mail slacking off and 2.9 and dropping probably is more effective than letting them think they can still get the audience stirred up.

God you guys, I just watched the Liz rape clip. That was amazing, thank you wacked for find that and sharing it with us. Every single actor totally brought it. Lucky is the only one that has been recast but really, Luke and Bobby are the ones that aren't even recognizable from that day to this one. Bobby isn't allowed more than one day bi-monthly and Luke is just a caricature now. Stupid hacks! Can't they see what a wealth of talent and depth these people are capable of?

That really made me long for Jonathan Jackson too. Nothing against our current Lucky, but he's more eye candy and not so much there for the "acting." JJ was a child prodigy. What's he doing now?

The first thing NL should have done before heading into the gigli script was watch that same clip. She even has BH there to help her. Obviously she's incapable of conjuring up the feelings of a rape victim on her own. Either that, or she went to SBu for coaching instead and came away with the blink-nod-blink method of showing distress. well I am new to this place and I definately want a seat on the barge. I have been an AJ supporter since Billy became AJ. I am both sad and happy that its over. I am looking forward to trying to watch days again. I am happy that some of the characters have finally admitted what they did, and the way they treated AJ was wrong. OF course I am appaled at the Mikey killed AJ, but what else can you expect from the hacks. ?

I read MsChicklets La Revalution. That was absolutely a great read. I think you are needed at the hacks computers. Did they read it, Durant did say he was going to Alaska.?? .I loved it But I think it was to much to ask of Moronica to choose Aj this time.

I saw the rape. I remembered it from last time,RH can act, why do they insist of putting her in the back burner, or the blabber mouth. The rape story was done so truthfully. Usually a cabana boy is available for pickups at 3 p.m. and again right before the SoapNet airing. If you miss the pickup, by all means swim out. You can warm up with a cup of coffee at AJ's Coffeehouse and Tearoom.

Here's the latest Michael Logan column where he discusses the upcoming NuMaxie heart storyling.

In print it looks good but with Kristen Storm instead of Robyn Richard who a lot of people still identify as Maxis I'm sure it will lack punch. It also reminds me of the whole Emily cancer story being told with Natalia Livingston instead of Amber Tamblyn, and we all remember the bang up job Guza & Pratt did with that.

I know they'll screw this one up too. This summer on GH is gonna suck more than usual.

I'm holding no hope whatsoever for the Maxie's heart upcoming storyline. They say that Felicia will be "frontburner" (yeah, sure) but nothing was mentioned about Mac, Tony, Bobbie, or Frisco. I know Frisco would be a long shot, but he DID come back when Maxie had the first transplant. However, excluding Bobbie and Tony from this storyline would be a tragedy.

As far as I know, Brad Maule went to another soap or is basically just not working at TFGH anymore, good for him. Despite Bobbie never having had an exit storyline, I don't really believe that she's still on the payroll either. I don't even recall the last time we saw her.. not even during the whole stupid ass kidnapping of her grandson.

How could Sonny possibly be a part of Maxie's heart failing? Otherwise, it's going to be given three scenes a week with shitty writing and the whole thing will be wrapped up pat by June with no suspense or emotion. Well, even if Sonny IS involved, we can still count on the lack of decent storytelling. That is one way these idiots are always consistent.

Sonny does not have "faith." He treats God as if He were just another "businessman" who negotiates deals. Which means Sonny sees himself as God's equal. The idea of priests and nuns fawning over him and accepting his money, with no attempt to save his rotting black soul, is disgusting. They should be reminded of Mark 8:36:

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

He may have said the right words about he - and Jason - being responsible for Michael becoming a murdering little tyrant, but he does not back these words up with deeds. If he knows he made Michael this way, why isn't he pushing to get the kid help first and foremost? If he can confess to a murder he didn't commit, why doesn't he confess to the murders he has orchestrated and ordered, starting with the Good Friday Massacre? He's nothing but a cowardly, self-righteous narcissist. When this is over and Alexis and John have been properly spat upon, Sonny will smugly accept praise as the best father evah, and the truth he spoke will be forgotten in another round of fluffing Sonny and MB's fragile little ego.

I was looking around online to see if any studious soul out there has kept a tally of how many people Sonny has murdered. It was Tamilu's comment on the injustice of Sonny sitting in jail for a murder that he didn't commit that stuck in my craw. Anyway, I didn't find a number but I did find an amusing rant at this site that is undated but seems to be from right around when Courtney was new and Big Kristina hadn't blown up yet. Ages ago folks, and yet could have been written today and applied to the current state of this steaming pile.

Vildachaia, there was an interesting link on the page with your Brad Maule news. They're encouraging us to bitch to the FCC over the Michael storyline. They might like to note our unhappiness with Umily's "therapy" too. Since we're writing letters to all the soap weeklys, why not send one to the government as well?

So after watching today's show, I'm starting to be convinved that the writer who puts Alan's lines on paper is a Sonny hater of course, there are a lot of accusations coming out of Alan's mouth that make him look like an idiot, but I forgive him.

Alan: Well I guess I can save us the next few steps. We know what Jason's gonna say, that AJ was a dispecable, miserable human being who deserved to die.

Monica: Alan, you will stop right now, or I will rip your tongue out of your throat.

Jason: I don't want you to listen to Alan, he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Alan: I understand all too well. I'm not gonna sit here and ljust watch you pour poison into this little boy's head while you anoint St Sonny. He killed your father and he killed my son.

The rest of the show, Skye looked hot today and her and Lo make a very fetshing couple. And then there was some back and forth snark going between Tracy and Luke.

To weigh in on the whole Maxie heart issue. It just seems to me that the regime is trying to break a story that is still very remembered and talked about by a lot of people because it was just one of those things that sticks with us because of the magnitude of the tragedy. If Maxie gets a new heart, then it's a clear break between the show back then and the show now and it will have destroyed one of the last "vestiges" of the old GH. And the way things are put right now, I don't think it leaves a lot of doubt where things are headed with that storyline. BJ's heart will be gone and with it the story that made Maxie who she was. I think it will be a very sad day when that happens.

ETA for Oracle. No JaSam today. Luke and Tracy scenes towards the end of the show with Lorenzo and Skye and then alone, drinking together. Luke and Skye did have a few scenes before that. Alan and Monica scenes, one of them with Skye, then Alan and Monica with Michael before Jason showed up at the mansion.

Just watched the LizRape clip posted by wicked (grazie!) - I had forgotten that this show used to move me and make me cry - sitting at home, watching these scenes, I shook and sobbed.

So that puts me officially on the barge - I didn't have the extreme hatred of Sonny and Jason that some do, (in fact, there was a time that I actually LIKED the Borg!), but I'm just totally fed up with the whole show. To ignore Bobby, Liz, Luke, and all the other vets to the extent that that TIIC have, well, I'm going to turn over to ATWT and GL - and this from a twentyfive years plus viewer! The few new characters that I've seen introduced the last few years (Dillion, YummyLorenzo, Ric, Skye) just aren't worth this pain...

I would have enjoyed the Alan scenes more if I didn't suspect when he find's out Mikey and not Sonny killed AJ, he'll have to eat crow. Assbackwards I tell ya.

Like a lot of GH vets, Wagner fell out of favor when ABC turned the soap into a mob drama years ago.

I have a big, fat problem with this. TFGH is not a "mob drama." We don't know anything about the mob except that they run it under the guise of coffee bean importing. We rarely see anything of the "business", we just hear Jason telling Sam that he's off to take care of some, or we hear Sonny telling (insert current fucktoy here) to go upstairs so he can shop talk with Jason. On a couple of rare occasions, we saw a meeting of the crime bosses. But even that doesn't tell us anything, it's only been to show us that these other random kingpins all inexplicably lick Sonny's ass too. Just like everyone else. Talk about exciting!

No, this isn't a mob drama. The show could be better argued as a custody court drama. Or an unchecked procreation drama. Sure, there are accidental pregnancies and family law stuff on all the soaps, but elsewhere the storylines revolve around a cast of people. Not just one paunchy, over-sexed, speech impaired chauvenist pig.

ETA annabell is right. Take away everywhere that I used the word "drama" and replace it with "farce."

I HATE GUZA! I HATE GUZA! I HATE GUZA! I want to get a gang of people, light a bunch of torches, carry pitch forks and wave burning effiges of Guza. Then I want to drag out Guza by his tounge and beat him. With what I don't know, but lets start with that handy burning torch I'll be carrying and lets get creative. They really are using the history as toliet paper, only there to prop and drive their own substandard storytelling. First they take one of the definitive moments in GH history as aside to NUm's fucked up story (bitch needed to speak to an "expert", then why didn't she have a heartfelt talk with Liz, the rape victim who wanted to talk to her.)
