I absolutely adored this show. One of my favorite moments involved the Geek-Off where the contestant had to name movies in English-- he started with two John Waters films, then just said "Friday the 13th" part 1, 2, 3, etc. He moved onto another horror film and ended up getting 20-something points.

This, compared to the girl who had to name movies in color, and she could only name two.

Our own Djb as the Beatles geek? Anyone remember if he got defeated? Glark? Anyone?

Our own Djb as the Beatles geek?

Whoa, really? I loved the Beatles geek! I thought I knew a lot about the Beatles, then got busted everytime I watched the show.

My friend's older brother was contacted about being the "Alcohol Geek."

They even had him audition saying the line "I'll beat you to a bloody pulp... but I won't drive you to the hospital."

Oh! I loved this show so much!

But I'm having trouble remembering one thing: did they replace the South Park Geek/have two of them during the series? I seem to remember that happening, but it might just be that I'm completely insane from all of my reality tv viewings.

I could never beat the movie geek playing along, but almost always beat the music geek. I would tie with the South Park Geek.

Wait, I'm remembering an episode that enraged me. The South Park Geek had to name characters who slep with Mrs. Cartman, and she listed Principal Victoria and didn't get credit and lost her medal because of that. But, [fanboy] in the two part episode where Cartman tries to find out who his dad is, Principal Victoria is in the bar where the one guy says (paraphrased) "Everyone in here's slept with Mrs. Cartman...except Stumpy (guy with no lower body)". [/fanboy] That always boiled my blood. She was robbed, ya'll.

I used to love this show. I fantasized about being the movie geek - but after thinking about it some more, I don't think I would have been that good at it. Most of the movie questions tended to be about stuff that "fanboys" like (action movies and the like) rather than the type of movies I watch (mostly classic films).

My friends and I always used to have geek-offs on long car trips. Oddly enough, each of us had a specialty; I was the TV geek. I could hold my own with movies, but when it came to music I was a dead woman.

I personally detested the short haired (I originally typed non-long-haired, then realized that short meant the same thing) music geek; he wasn't as knowledgable, plus he was just a nerdy geek. At least the other guys were kind of cool in their geek ways.

I swear that made sense in my head.

I loved this show so much.

I wish they'd make it into a DVD board game a la Trivial Pursuit.

Whenever I played along, the geek I always did best against was Movie, and the one I sucked at was Music.

Awesome show. And I just recently saw the TV geek (or was it the movie geek? The one with the huge sideburns) somewhere else.... but where?

Anyway, fabulous show, I wish Comedy Channel would bring it back....

I used to love this show so much.

I could always hold my own against the TV & Movie geeks, but would've never been able to beat the Music geek.

One of my ex-boyfriend's was AMAZING at the music questions; I don't think I ever saw him miss an answer. I alway said he should try out for the show, but then stupid Comedy Central cancelled it.

And man, I hated Blaine Capatch. Dude grated something harsh.

I fantasized about being the movie geek

For the longest time I fantasized about being the Buffy geek. I would have kicked so much ass. However, after seeing some of the fanbase of Buffy, I totally wouldn't be worthy. There's so many more dedicated than I.

And man, I hated Blaine Capatch. Dude grated something harsh.

I adored Blaine. But I can totally see how his personality would drive someone crazy. I loved that he'd insult the contestants when they lost.

Has anyone else in Canada been watching the reruns of this show? I only saw a couple episodes when it was on before but I've gotten so into it now. This show is hilarious, I want someone to discuss it with.

I saw a couple of episodes with the beatles geek who was great, but now they're showing the eps with the playboy geek who seems so terrified and trips over his lines like crazy, its pretty uncomfortable to watch.

The TV geek is hilarious and the only one I ever beat. I've fallen in love with the movie geek for some reason, he's so delightfully intense and I love it.

Does anyone else remember this show? I'm so glad they decided to show the old episodes here in Canada

If they are playing these episodes in Canada, then I need 2 episodes recorded!! My husband and I were both individually on the show (I choked hard core, but my husband did pretty good), ok so his episode is when the special guest geek was "Mr. Skin" or something like that who was the Nudity Geek. His episode actually never aired here because the day it was supposed to air it was replaced by some lame show about a new movie coming out. Then my episode's special guest geek was the cartoon geek, and I said that Chris Kattan's monkey boy character Mr. Peepers was called Bonkers (like I said... I choked). Anyway, both episodes were hosted by Blaine, not the wonderful J. Keith. We can't find the tape of mine, and never had one of my husbands. That would be SO awesome if we could get them on tape/DVD/mpeg... ANYTHING!

Speaking of J. Keith... anyone else see him on Best Week Ever on Vh1? He is usually on every week!

I remember this show. I always thought the Movie geek was the most knowledgeable. I could do OK on TV and movies, but music I was weak on. Some of the Specialty geeks sucked. I was not all that impressed with the South Park Geek and I think they had a pretty sucky Simpsons geek, though at the time MANY, MANY people could have made a good Simpsons geek.
