To Kelsey Grammer:
Shut up. Zip it. Shut. Zip. In all 38 pages of this topic so far, you've had but a mere mention because NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU. I have now reached my breaking point.
Acting: So you've won Emmys, as you often like to remind us. Nowadays, I find out that in real life, you are a piece of self-aggrandizing ass, kind of like the the fictional character you've been playing for the last 20 years. Seems to me like you should be returning a few Best ACTOR Emmys to the Academy.
Longevity: It pained me all those years ago to hear that you've extended your contract to set a record for playing the same character on prime-time TV, and so that your show would last as long as Cheers. You can imagine, then, my relief when NBC decided NOT to extend your show for another year even though you've made it clear that you would squee in delight at the idea of it. You vile Energizer Bunny of Desperation wannabe.
Class: With your eroded ratings and the Friends finale eclipsing the Frasier finale, you constantly remind everyone that your show is the one with class. My argument against your authority on what is or is not classy can be summed up in two words: McHale's Navy.
In closing, you suck.
The preceding message was inspired by the following passage in a Yahoo! News article:
OK, maybe "Friends" isn't the "best comedy ever." NBC promised Thursday not to rerun a promo using that phrase to refer to the show, which will go off the air after 10 years in May... The ad irked some people, most prominently Kelsey Grammer, star of "Frasier," five times the Emmy winner for best comedy. "Friends" has won the best comedy Emmy once. "I don't blame them for saying that," Grammer told reporters last week. "Although, we all know it's not true."

Why do people keep saying [Tori Spelling's] hot and beautiful?
Remember for like two seasons on 90210 all everyone said to Donna was "Oh, Donna, you look so beautiful" and conversations would revolve around "Oh, doesn't Donna look so beautiful?" It was so obviously favoritism, and that's why I hate both Tori and Aaron.

Made awful by the fact that she was obviously the unholy spawn of a golden retriever and a bobble-head doll.

crazy as a sack full of rabid weasles
I'm so going to start saying this from now on.
I'd suggest Michael Rosenbaum, but he's MINE, so back off, beyotch! :-)
I'll fight you for him.
Someone earlier up the thread mentioned Carrot Top, but I must protest since this category is supposed to be about HUMAN BEINGS.
Seriously, who the fuck is this guy supposed to appeal to? I haven't met a single person who doesn't loathe him. His continuing existence perplexes me.
I don't even know what the show is, because every time I hear his voice, a million tiny angels begin to weep and I have to change the channel to stop the terrible sound of their wails of agony.
Good God, the laughing made my stomach hurt.
I really don't know why, but I hate Doris Roberts as well. I hate every character she's ever played. And I hate whiny, sniveling Ray Romano.
I hate Frankie Muniz. I have no problem with the Malcolm character, but I hate that Muniz seems to think he's a big man because he's getting movie roles. Bitch, go blow your snotty little nose and shut the fuck up.
I don't hate the Olsen twins, but I have a severe dislike for those guys who can't wait until they turn 18 so they can do legal porn. Dude, get some taste. You've seen them when they were infants. Gross.
I hate Ashton Kutcher as well. Why couldn't Topher Grace have been the one who got that famous? Of course, I'd probably hate
him then.

There are a number of TV actors that I hate. I think the reason is I can't stand having people thrust in my face constantly. Take Jennifer Love Hewitt, for instance. I hated her on Party of Five. She grated on my nerves so much that I would change the channel when she was on. My hatred was exacerbated by the fact that she was suddenly everywhere: on the covers of magazines, in commercials, in movies...there was no escape! It was almost like she was being force-fed to the North American audience.
It's the same when TV producers decide to push an unlikable actor because they happen to like him/her, even if it's to the detriment to the show. Like with Maura Tierney on ER. When she started, it was a good show and her character wasn't that great, but it didn't matter because the focus was on other storylines. At least until someone at TPTB decided that she was God's gift to television, and bit by bit, she took over until it became The Abby Show. That's what really turned me off of ER. The woman CAN NOT act. She plays every scene like she's been given an enema two minutes before shooting her scene.
Enough ranting. For now.

Sounds like the problem with Maurice Benard, Tamara Braun, Steve Burton, and Alicia Leigh Willis on
General Hospital. I actually like Tamara and Alicia, but can NOT stand Maurice and Steve. It's slowly become the Sonny Corinthos show (Sonny is Maurice's character) and everyone else has to approve of Sonny OR ELSE. It's just like what happened with Carl Hutchins on

I don't know if I hate her per se, but I am so sick and tired of Jennifer Aniston. I hope no one hates me for saying this, but I have tried, and tried, and tried to see what's so wonderful and magical about her, and I just don't see it. I dunno, maybe it's just me, so sorry.
I also can't stand Kelly Ripa. She was supposed to be an antidote to Kathie Lee, but she's rapidly turning into her.
Others:
Ashton Kutcher: Again, someone I'm just sick of. Plus, his lips are just too damn red. Honestly, he sometimes looks like the Joker with that maniacal smile of his.
All of those no talent losers who played the Taylor boys on Home Improvement: None of them can act! Not! One!
Daveigh Chase (the voice of Lilo on Lilo and Stitch: My God, her voice grates the hell on my nerves! It's like Lina Lamont's voice in Singin' in the Rain, only it's not funny ('cause it's real).
Katie Holmes: Probably the blandest actress out there, plus her lack of facial expressions disturb me. Sometimes her lips twitch upward, but it might be gas.

I liked 3 out of the 4 regulars on Seinfeld. Jerry himself was unobjectionable; he never pretended to be an actor and he carried off his duties gracefully enough. Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus I consider genuinely gifted comic actors (though since this series, JA has gotten awfully full of himself and hard to watch). But I never, at any moment, saw any redeeming features to Michael Richards. Just ugly, one-note, unfunny, unconvincing spazziness that sends me running the other way.
Eriq LaSalle. Unlike others who've posted in this topic, I don't consider chameleonic transforming from role to role to be a requisite for good acting (there are also very good actors who are pretty much always the same -- Cary Grant comes to mind -- but who make their characters real and fresh each time). But I do object to the substitution of a series of Symbols Of Emotion for actual conveying of emotional reality. LaSalle is of the nostril-flaring school of acting; he thinks if he makes enough of a face, we'll believe him. Nope.
Debra Messing. Though Will & Grace has by now worn itself out, I do think that the other 3 principals have something to offer in comedy -- they can still show this, with skill and a light touch, when the material permits and the director allows. But Messing... you know how they say some actors "make it all look easy"? you don't see them working at it, they're just effortlessly in character? Well, Debra M is the opposite of that. She flails, she mugs, she does a body wind-up when she really wants a gag to land, she works her butt off and still can't make it work. She seems to want to be Lucille Ball without knowing how to go about it. (She must've wanted to kill herself when someone else got to play Lucy on TV.)
Normally I don't judge actors on their offscreen (or offstage) behavior. But for Kerr Smith I'll make an exception. Kerr, you bigot, go to your room. Oh, and take Hal Sparks with you.
Dixie Carter. She revs herself up for one of those "I'm gonna tell somebody off" speeches, the studio audience squeals in anticipation, and I curse and change the channel.
I never thought I'd say it, but Scott Bakula. I loved him in QL, enjoyed him hugely in musicals onstage. But whatever he's doing on TV now is some sort of new development for him. The lively, engaging performer of yore is gone and has been replaced by a zombie.

Hate is a strong word but I can't bear David Caruso. He's one of the worst actors I've ever seen on TV. In CSI:Miami his acting style seems to consist of never looking at the people he is talking to and delivering all his lines whilst staring off in another direction into the middle distance. Is that supposed to add to the drama or something?

Wordy McWord Word Word Shamalalabingword. Also, I agree.
Will & Grace: The only character/actor that I can still stand is Karen. The other 3, especially Will & Grace, wore me out by Season 3.

"Why do people keep saying she's hot and beautiful? She reminds me of that Eric Stoltz/Cher movie. Her eyes are way far apart and there's just too much going on with that chin. I wouldn't care about any of that if she didn't seem so unnecessarily full of herself"
Tori-haters should catch Lifetime's "Diary of a Co-Ed Call Girl" it's hilarious. First, Tori is a poor scholarship geek with fetching black glasses. Then she gets taken under the wing of a hooker, and voila! Eventually, she becomes SHOCKED that she's expected to do more than just sip champagne and look pretty. All this because she wants to afford college.
Not exactly the best part-time job, hon.

Sarah Thompson, how I loathe every atom of your being.
If she doesn't turn out to be a badly-programmed pre-Terminator prototype at some point during this season of Angel, I am going to be very disappointed. How someone could be so devoid of personality, acting skills, and any discernible human characteristics is beyond me. How can you not have chemistry with Christian Kane? How can you not dredge up even the slightest bit of believable sexual interest while lying naked in bed with him?
And for the love of god, do something about those eyebrows. They're killing me.

The absolute worst is Patricia Heaton. First of all, she is in every damn commercial produced in the past year. Secondly, her voice is so annoying. Then there is the fact that, for some weird reason, I see her on a talk show every friggin' week. In these interviews, she always talks about the following:
1. She has a bunch of kids
2. Her husband is British
3. Her plastic surgery (which she brags about)
4. Her bravery for admitting that she has had plastic surgery
The absolute worst though is around Emmy time when she is nominated (she always is) and she turns into the biggest award whore/spawn of satan and says lame crap like she needs to win because three Emmys is the perfect number.
She's not on a show but I despise Jamie Lee Curtis too and every time I've seen her being interviewed on any red carpet, she is a complete bitch and I've read so many stories of her being bitchy to reporters. hate her.
My new object of hate is La La on MTV. Thankfully, I only watch some of their shows so I can avoid her for the most part. Her voice is so annoying and the weird thing is, if you imagine what a grown woman named "La La" would sound like, she sounds exactly like that.

I think the very first time I saw La La was on this Christina Aguilera special that was similar to that Britney "Out All Night", or whatever it's called, crap. My impression was that she was just a CA groupie, or at least one of CA's best friends to be following her around like that. As soon as I saw her name, I thought, "This is the absolute last time we'll see her." But, lo and behold, La La has her very own career on MTV.
And that is why I no longer watch MTV. No, seriously, it's not even in my mind's channel surfing lineup anymore.

Unfortunately, Ms. Heaton is not familiar with the term "overexposure." I am so sick of seeing her in those ads. I really hate how advertisers try to portray her as an "average woman." I am sorry but I find it hard to believe that she does not have at least one assistant who helps her with mundane tasks like grocery shopping. I really wish that she would go away.

They've been mentioned quite a few times, but I've got to vent:
James Marsters: Ugh. I know he's got a lot of fans, but to me he's constantly chewing the scenery, and to put it plainly, he sucks. He sucks horribly, creating an inescapable blackhole of shit where quality programming used to be. And if there is a god Spike will stay clothed for the rest of the season, because seeing an aging, pasty, skinny guy naked is not the least bit attractive. It makes me feel depleted and sad. And don't get me started on his character: Arrrrrgh. But nothing personal against the guy.
Ashton Kutcher:He must be the luckiest man EVER. To be fairly unattractive, without any talent or charisma and to get paid millions to YELL things At the CAMERA for no reason AT ALL. I have better acting range than him, and my acting experince is playing Excited Townsperson #47 in various high school musicals.
Jessica Simpson: Anyone who becomes famous by being stupid is going to incur my wrath. She has no excuse for the way she acts- she's just ignorant and extremely annoying.

Word on the David Caruso hate. I can't believe he even got another TV job after flouncing off NYPD Blue. And it freaks me out that in interviews he always refers to himself in the third person, like ‘David Caruso this... David Caruso that...’. I'm no psychiatrist, but I'm sure that's a sign of being a raging egomaniac or something. Also, he's not remotely attractive in any way IMO.
Also, I hate, hate, hate Sarah Thompson on Angel. Season 5's only recently started here in the UK, but I totally see now what everyone on the boards meant about Eve. I don't remember seeing one positive reaction to her anywhere. If she's not off the show at the end of the season, I'll seriously have to reconsider my decision to watch it.
James Van Der Beek - I'm sure Dawson was supposed to be a likeable character in some ways, but I never once liked him. I'm sure JVDB's performance must have had at least something to do with that.

Oh God, its so not just you,
marxfan. She annoyed me back in the day when she posed butt-nekkid on the cover of Rolling Stone. I thought "Fame-whore alert!". I hate when people are all
Look at Me! Look at Me! Sure, all celebrities have that to a certain degree, but some are at least subtle about it, and I respect them.
Then she started bitching endlessly about how people kept going on about her hair, her hair, her hair. About how she wanted people to notice her for the good job she was doing and not her hairstyle, boo hoo. And
at the exact same time, she was doing those vile patronising shampoo commericals so that you couldn't turn on the TV without seeing her smugly flicking her glorious locks around. "Here comes the science part.....concentrate!" Fuck you bitch - I don't think I have to concentrate to understand the word "vitamins". Anyway, I found that really hypocritical. You don't want people to gaze in wonder at your hair? Don't do a series of shampoo commercials!
And then she got married/beatified. And now she smiles serenely at us from within some boring black dress on every single red carpet. She never seems to sweat, or eat.
I remember a headline from The Onion back in the day: "Pure Silk To Stream From Cindy Crawford's Ass". Change that to Jennifer Aniston and it sums it up for me.

I cannot stand Melissa Joan Hart! Her dead fish eyes and expressionless face really bug me.
I hated her so much more after hearing how she loves to brag about her sex life - even to her own mother! The story was in a magazine and I think her quote was "I'm not going to have great sex and not let everyone know". She's an adult and entitled to have a great time in bed, but that just irked me. (Jealous, me?)
My hate spiralled to scary hate after hearing she conned some magazine or TV show into paying for her wedding by letting them do a "feature" story on it. Thankfully, it appears her 15 minutes have run out and she seems to have dropped off the planet.

When I first saw Kristen Kreuk in that ad for Eurotrip, I thought my brain was misfiring. I thought perhaps my brain saw Dawn, registered extreme hate, and replaced her with KK, whom I hate even more. Then I realized, she's actually in the film WITH the chick who plays Dawn. Two of the most repulsive, loathsome creatures to ever grace my television screen... together. Oh, thats just bloody fantastic! When does this movie come out? Should I go stand in line now? Order advance tickets?
The casting director responsible for this is truly the Antichrist.
