ER-Girl
Not sure how many fans there are of this show...especially since there haven't been any posts in a year. But here goes...

I'm looking for a tape of one of the old episodes (before Torres died). It's the one where Lauren Velez went undercover as a waitress to hook up with an elusive Chinese hitman. She's still pissed over a fight she had with Torres, and accepts a date from the suspect. They end up going out, she gets her evidence to put him away, he discovers she's a cop, she ends up killing him in the end. I think the episode title was "Don't Blink." Can anybody help me? I'm hoping that somebody else is as obsessive about keeping old VHS tapes as I am!

Thanks! :)

NYU fan here. I didn't know there was a thread.

I remember my distaste for Sandy. For me and my junior high heart, I didn't like Sandy because she was with Williams and she was always bitching at him.

I hated Sandy because..well, Michael Michele has to be one of the worst actresses ever. I hated her NYU and I hated her even more on ER.

Yeah. Sandy did seem to bitch a lot. But I must be in the minority because I liked Michael Michele. Then again, I had a mad crush on her.

I really loved that show. I watched it in USA five years ago and I was so hook that I ran from school to home just to watch it. I love the Torres and Williams as well as the musical part at the end, but hated Sandy.

Hey! I wanted to bump this show up. I loved it when I was younger. It actually always bothers me that 1. This show was created by Dick Wolf (Law and Order) and i've never heard him or anyone bring this show up when talking about him and it was a pretty big hit for fox when it was out. 2.Undercover along with martin and living single were a big (thursday) night combination that got good ratings and actually made fox relavent on thrusdays but no one talks about that.

That being said, i try to catch the show whenever i can on direct tv and i still enjoy it.

Memorable moments for me:

A. The combination of J.C. and Torres in general.

B. The moment when Torres gets blown up.

C. When Ice T's character kills J.C.'s fiance, J.C. kills him under shaky circumstances and the whole trial that ensued.

D. The way they ruined the show after Torres died by getting rid of the captain, Torres and the new guy that was only there for one season and "revamping" the show for no reason.

WORD! I was devoted to this show until I turned on the Season 4 premiere and saw Tommy (from Martin) running the squad. BOOOOOOO!

Guess I'm bringing it back from the dead once again.

I'm watching the 4th season on Si Tv now and while it's not the show that I love, these episodes are not THAT bad. I didn't watch the last season in original viewing.

I don't know how long it's been in syndication (just caught it this year) but I noticed that the episode where JC and Nina sleep together will be skipped.

Have they ever shown this episode in repeats?

This is one of my all time favorite shows, very underrated imo. I remember watching it in it's original run after Living Single and Martin.
appleeyes84, I've seen that episode of JC and Nina in reruns before, both on Si Tv and TvOne. TvOne has been airing the show daily for a few weeks now, I think they're still on season one though.

Hey ShugAvery! Those three shows were must see for me too.

Well, that just sucks that they're skipping it now!

I looked on Locate TV website, they skip from Quid Pro Quo (where they kiss) to Going Native (the aftereffects), they show a couple of episodes after that, then they go back to Season 1, which like you say, TV One is already showing.

I guess it's better that I don't see the episode right now, I was a little unsettled when they kissed anyway.

JC and Eddie were some good looking men and McNamara was pretty close as well.

They never did release this on DVD yet, right? I wonder what they would do with all the musical guests that came on over the seasons. I know how companies don't like to play the musical royalties. My favorite I have to admit is SWV and their remake of Switch's "There Will Never Be", especially since Taj and LeLee got to sing.

It'd be cool to relive the series again though.

Man I loved this show so much growing up. I am so happy they are showing reruns, becuase I doubt they will ever relese this on dvd.

I remember having the biggest crush on Eddie and rewatching, I love him as much as I did back then. He was a hottie. I liked JC too, but I tended to always love Eddie more. I loved the friendship between JC and Eddie, they had their conflicts and occasionally butted head, but they where as tight as 2 friends could be, and always had each other's back. I liked the introduction of Nina, and the initial tension, she brought to the show, for JC and how Eddie was constantly fighting his attraction to her. They are one of my favorite couples, so much love, passion, devotion and angst there.

The first 2 seasons where the best, but I find myself liking S3 alot. The core three of JC, Lt. Cupper, and Eddie where there, plus they gave more importance to Nina, and I did not mind Tommy. He worked alot better into the group dynamics then the godawful season 4 revamp.

I still to this day, am shocked everytime I see Eddie's car blow up. His was the first death on tv that really got to me. The show was just awful after he died, and I will not ever get started on the horrible JC/Nina pairing in S4.

The episodes where JC's girlfriend Sandy was killed, When Ice T comes back and seekes revenge on JC and the awesome Gangsta's Padadise opening, the episode when Nina gets shot for Eddie, and the last episode of season 3,(which I consider the end of the series) all are amoung the very best.
