There goes my theory that they were going to kill her off...unless she comes back as a ghost or a memory.

I'd just like an ending that feels like it at least marginally ties into the premiere. If they can have Clark, Lex, Lana, and Chloe, I'm fine with it and not really too concerned with who does what or heads where. The show has been an utter failure for the last few seasons and so tying it all up nicely now just seems completely unrealistic. I'd at least like to see the core four around Smallville, maybe the Talon gets sold and torn down or something (or burns downs, with Nois inside) and there's a little bit of a throwback to younger days when Chlarkana reuinite at the site. Something like that. Would be pleased to see Martha as well, and perhaps some sort of flashback featuring Bo.

Kreuk: Lana in the episode (Legion) is mostly helping Clark and essentially keep him on mission. She's helping him to understand what's important without the influence of the Legion.
Hee! I'm going to fanwank that Clark is too upset over Chloe's potential demise to keep focus. :-D He does have a tendency to lose perspective when he's upset. (My Chlark bubble is THICK.) I will be pleased if Lana is the one getting shit done instead of sitting around talking about herself. She owes Chloe a life save or two at least.
She does say that "the relationship and connection with Oliver is growing,"
Unless it's a LuthorCorp vs Queen Industries business connection/rivalry, DO NOT WANT. Tess+ Ollie= fail.

I love Sam Witwer. We have the exact same persepective on a Chloe and Davis pairing.
It needs to happen ASAP. Also, Doomsday should stab Jimmy some more. Also, taking a few swings at Lois wouldn't hurt. I haven't been this much on a villains side since that mugger punched Jimmy and pulled a gun on Lois at the start of Identity.

Wow...Oliver's face doesn't look right. Did they Photoshop the left side or something? Maybe because the shadow in the original was too heavy? He looks oddly bloated.

I'm pretty sure her breasts were digitally enhanced in that shot (which may explain why it took so long for the photo to be released). If you look at the crappy cutout promo poster her rack is in better proportion to her body.
I posted this on my LJ several days ago but I thought I'd share it here. The secret messages hidden in the group promotional picture.

Starting with Clark, because he’s first in the credits.
One can clearly see the letter M on him.He gets an

It’s impossible to miss the A on ChloeA for
Amazing and
Awesome. I think we can all agree Season 8 Chloe embodies those two words.
Lois gets a CIs there any doubt that this season Lois has turned into a
Cunning Reporter?
Tess is most definitely a PP for Tess because she is the
Prime Villain.
Davis is so clearly an RIt’s interesting that although Tess is the Prime Villain, Davis is the
Real Threat.
And lastly, Ollie is the letter SOllie gets an
S because, like Clark, he is a
Superhero.
Put it all together and it's as plain as day what the producers want us to get from this season.Cunning,
Real
Amazing
Man (is a)
Prime
Superhero.
(Yes, I know Jimmy’s not included, but I looked. There is no letter on him. I guess he’s not important to the show.)

I like it because Nois is so far off to the side that if you don't mind losing a bit of Jimmy's legs and Davis's arm you can cut her out of the picture and it looks better. I don't understand why they didn't have her move closer. Just a little bit and she would have looked like she belonged in the picture. Maybe they couldn't afford a better photographer?

Also, I'll admit to being surprised that Lana apparently does no pimping of Cnois. Apparently the producers don't think about mentioning EDLo when she's offscreen.

On a far less happy note, I'm feeling about 90% positive that next week Lana is going to end up absorbing a bunch of Kryptonite into her skin permanently (as a result of stopping the Kryptobomb they can't find even though it takes up the whole roof) which tragically forces Clana never to be together again...full circle right back to the days when she would wear her necklace.
Thus Clark (and Lana) sacrifices their epic love for the good of the world. I will weep for what Smallville has done to the Superman legend if that happens. Right now, I really think that is the tearful ending KK talked about.

Because of the episode title, the "Related Videos" to the right on the YouTube page had a clip of the S3 season finale, which was set to Mozart's Requiem. I clicked it to cleanse my palate and am now sad over how awesome the show used to be capable of being.

ARGH THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LEX?!?!
It's frustrating. After 7 years I know how Lex looks, the length of his neck, the wideness of his shoulders, the narrowness of his hips and that dude is so not Lex. Bald, yes, Lex, no and the mask can't change the subtle wrongness about the actor's posture or the space between his brows. That's not Lex and I never even thought I paid much attention to him. I can't imagine how annoyed his true fans must be.

That sounds rather apt to me. Forget about what it says about any woman that comes after her, but it reduces Clark to being a nutless wonder who can't see how awful this relationship is for him (which if they Cnois, then it makes sense he's really that much of a BDA to not see how bad a relationship is for him). He'll probably spend a few episodes feeling guilty and trying to find a way to get intoa suit that will keep him immune to her. His and Hers Power Suits. They're the ultimate power couple, I guess.

Someone on KSite pointed out that the scene where they're clearly in bed together is in black and white. Is it a dream sequence? The scene where he's sitting up in bed is in color, but she's fully clothed, and might have just walked into the room. The more I look at it, the more I wonder if it's a big fakeout, and if maybe Clana don't actually sleep together at all.

A friend of mine has actually finally given up on the show based on the fact that they have another man saying Lex's lines as if he is Lex. She is a huge Lex fan and that was the last straw for her.
And, this is the friend who got me into Smallville.
It's a very, very sad day.
I'm guessing that's MR's stunt double that they've been using this season and they think if they alter his voice they can get by with having Lex talk and people not be pissed that it's not MR. Thing is? That's not gonna work, folks.

I'm guessing so, too. It also explains KK's talk about Lana going out as a heroine.
My big problem is that I fear that they are taking the opportunity for Clark to be the one to call it off with Lana away from him. He isn't going to be the one to learn from mistakes. He's not going to grow. He's not going to realize things. It's going to be some contrived crap that FORCES Clana to be apart, instead of Clark owning up to the fact that they shouldn't be together because they're bad for each other or because she's a bad egg.
I really, really wish this show would let Clark grow up. I really thought they would have by Season

we're probably going to be subjected to the sexquakes *makes face of revulsion*.
On any other TV show, the sexquakes that will probably happen at the beginning of "Requiem" would spell disaster for Clana by the end of it. If people start off really happy at the start of the story, then it usually means trouble is coming.
With Smallville? I can't entirely count on that. They almost went there in "Wrath", but by the end of the episode, Clark forgave her and all was happy in Clana land again. Lana didn't pay for almost electrocuting a man and berating Clark for not killing Lex. It was all wiped clean like it never happened.
I almost expect that to happen again.

EllyF, that could have just been an editing choice for the promo. It being black and white in the trailer doesn't necessarily mean it will be black and white in the episode. You can change color video to black and white, using a video effect in editing programs. It could have just been done for dramatic effect.

Black and White, is when they are in their utopia, the rest is when things get serious.

These episodes seem to have been written as if there was an inside "nod" to S9 that we aren't aware of. Because at this point, if Clark is still sleeping with Lana, how the fuck are we supposed to buy that when Nois comes back, they fall in love and have some epic romance with like 7 episodes left in the series to convince that Clark'll ever be capable of loving anyone else? This shit is unbelievable. They spend the first half of the season killing Chlark and pimping Clois with impassioned abandon, yet once Lana returns, it's all for naught?
I almost don't even want to see Chlark or Chlois anymore. Because whomever Clark ends up with, she'll ALWAYS be second to Lana unless he makes the choice to break it off with her--and judging by next week's trailer, that's clearly not going to happen.
Also? A hearty FUCK YOU to Clark in advance, because we all know that when Nois and her plastic funbags resurface, he'll start right on in with the angsty stares and googly eyes. And probably whine to Chloe about it. I really, REALLY hate Clark. He sucks so much ass, guys.

They may as well have Lana be the superhero on this show. I mean, Clark has always wanted a normal life, right? Lana can go out and save the day whilst Clark stays at home.
Of course Lana will go out in a blaze of glory, have a tearful goodbye with Clark, whether she dies or heads off to Offscreensville, and Clark will pine for her. Then, inexplicably, start with the angst and pining for EDLois. Because it's iconic! The whiplash is ridiculous and only serves to make Clark look like a kid that doesn't know what he wants, particularly if this is the last season (crosses fingers). Superman? Still a dick.
