Well we already know they filmed Abyss (AM watched them on set) so that one is done. I think Justin was guessing; remember it takes about 10 days for a typical episode. I think it's reasonable to think Legion and Bride might take more, but going off a usual guesstimate I would say 12 could have her and still start shooting in October.

Or, I suppose Bride could have her as an unexpected guest.
Massena1
Bloodline, Bride, Legion and 12 are filming in October. I could see her being part of Ollie's storyline in Bloodline, Bride or 12. I don't think she'd have any place in Legion.
jimmy4
Well, we know Lana is not the only guest star in "Bride", right? Maybe that is when BC comes back?
Mr Enigma
I'm sorry but this isn't about Chlark, it's about Smallville. That trailer is a slap to the face of Smallville viewers who's been with this show since Season 1.

For me I know I am more interested in Maxima then a 7 year old letter that was instantly forgettable to myself. They probably shouldn't have clunked you on the head with the Lois & Clark stuff but promoting Maxima(hot chick who makes out with shirtless Clark) was the way to most likely gain interest amongst the largest group of viewers.
Teen Titan
According to Andreas who releases a lot of promotional stills, there are some promotional photos for season 8. However, don't get too excited:

Yes, there are some promotion pictures, but they are nothing more than behind the scenes pictures from Odyssey and Prey. Well, the promos of Sam Witwer are pretty, the ones of Justin Hartley, Alaina Kalanj and Alan Ritchson are just normal episode stills. That's all for now.

Alaina Kalanj is Alaina Huffman. I assume he's talking about the photos that were released with the Odyssey stills.
Josy
Problem is how many people care about the Fever letter? For me I know I am more interested in Maxima then a 7 year old letter that was instantly forgettable to myself.

Wow! I completly disagree with you here. The fever letter is one of the most memorable moments of Smallville history, at least for us Chlakers. It was a lovely and at the same time sad moment between Chloe and Clark (even though he was unconscious). The way Allison delivered those lines and the way the letter was written was just beautiful!

For me the fact that the creators of the series took the time to write the letter says everything. I think they wanted the letter to be special, to touch the heart of the viewers, a moment where people could remember for a long time.
Teen Titan
The official description for Prey is out:

DAVIS STARTS TO SEE HIS DARK SIDE - Clark (Tom Welling) looks into a recent attack in a theater that may be the work of a serial killer. Suspecting it could be someone who is meteor-infected, he demands that Chloe (Allison Mack) release the names of the people she is counseling at the Isis Foundation, which causes a rift between the friends. Davis (Sam Witwer) fears that his blackouts could mean that he is the serial killer and collects evidence that may implicate him. Fearing the worst, he confesses his suspicions to Chloe. Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore and Cassidy Freeman also stars. Michael Rohl directed the episode written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders (#3T7456).

I'm really looking forward to this episode. Especially now that I know Chloe + Davis is made of win.

Clark wanting Chloe to release the names of meteor infected people? I agree with Chloe.
Adela1985
I'm greatly upset with Clark there. He has no right demanding something that is a private matter between Chloe and those who want there identify protected.

I agree! Especially since Chloe's keeping his secret too. How would he like it if someone demanded that she tell them his secret because they suspect him as the serial killer?
done
Yeah that's like asking a doctor for info on his patients.I wonder how much of a rift that creates between them.

"The romantic drama crap" is what Smallville banks on and has banked on for too long for that to really change. Sad, yes. But there's no way around it.

Personally I'm happy for the Fever Letter because it will bring some continuity. Whether that'll pass onto other episodes I have no idea but it's good to be remembered every once in a while without being "mythos" or "iconic". Also, 6 years on, those two characters still interact and the third (Lana) will be back so it's typical SV writing.

Maxima is a fun character in herself but I'm not into the actress, doesn't embody "warrior princess" too well. I hope she has fun and violent moments in the episode nonetheless. I'd be sad if she doesn't up the body count considerably.

I agree they could have casted her better, never the less I am still interested what they will do with her character

Which is why I clinge to anything that strays as far away as possible from it. If it wasn't for the fact this is supposed to be story about Clark Kent, I would have abandoned the show a long time ago(they have enough action in the show to keep me interested).

Personally I'm happy for the Fever Letter because it will bring some continuity.

The fact Jimmy and Chloe go to couples councilling the next episode and Lois + Clark have a loft scene talking about destiny is my guess what will be the "payoff" of the letter(although, if the loft scene revolves around Chloe then all not lost)
Nat0117
This hasn't been the story of Superman and Lois Lane. It's the story of Clark Kent and the people in his life befpre he became the man of steel. The iconic! stuff that's being crammed down our throats now is what it is, but as far as I'm concerned, the only canon here that matters is the one created by Goughlar. And in the SV mythos, the "Fever" letter is a main fixture of that history. Anyone who's been a fan from the beginning would not have forgotten it, even if it isn't considered Chlois or Chlark foreshadowing.
wwg23
The hot girl from outerspace hunting down Clark and getting Tom Welling shirtless will more likely get the attention of the average viewer or fans who don't Chlark then a preview that is aimed at one specific group of fans.

The problem with this is that SV has already done this storyline before. See "Hypnotic" in s5. Having Clark be almost-raped again is not entertaining regardless of shirtless!Clark. YMMV.
PolarB
And in the SV mythos, the "Fever" letter is a main fixture of that history.

I have to disagree with that. If it was so important, I think it would have been brought up again before now. I was actually very surprised it was going to be part of S8, because I figured it was never going to be mentioned again, nor do I think it's something the deserves - or even needs - a resolution.

Chances are, it's going to be nothing more than a rift between Jimmy and a Brainiac influenced Chloe, and, coupled with the rift that's apparently put between her and Clark in Prey based on the OD, it's just a catalyst to push her away from Clark and Jimmy and toward Davis and the Bride climax.

Also see "Spell"... It's almost like we're back to S5's standard of nakedness. Now, Oliver wet/shirtless in "Toxic" and Clark shirtless again at the hands of Maxima of whom I know very little. I will always appreciate The Pretty and gleefully splash around in the shallow end of the pool, and tho' I do sometimes feel guilty about watching for The Pretty factor, it's one of the few moments that I can divorce myself from the plot contrivances, choppy dialog, etc., and just have fun with SV.
Teen Titan

The thing I like about this conflict is it's a genuine, realistic, disagreement. Rather than more manufactured crap. I mean, I agree with Chloe, but I can see where Clark is coming from too. He wants to save people who are dying. If Chloe can help him do that by telling him about some of the meteor infected, why isn't she?

Maxima is a fun character in herself but I'm not into the actress, doesn't embody "warrior princess" too well. I hope she has fun and violent moments in the episode nonetheless. I'd be sad if she doesn't up the body count considerably.

But Maxima isn't really a warrior princess. I mean, yes, she knows how to fight. And she's very powerful. But she's also spoiled, petulant and can snap the second anything doesn't go her way. She's like the worst spoiled rich girl you can think of, with super powers. And her whole thing is she wants to find a worthy mate. It's all that matters to her.

To me, from what little we've seen so far, I think they've gotten Maxima exactly right. Which surprises me, because everything was pointing to them completely ruining her. I'm completely shocked that her origin is intact, queen from Almerac and all!

Thanks.

I'm excited for both Maxima and the Fever Letter. Which surprises me, because I was ready to just roll my eyes at Maxima.

IA. And it's not shipper based. It has it's basis in an actual ethical conflict and I really hope it's played like that, not just as Chloe being all uppity and darkside, or Clark just being a dick about people having a reasonable expectation of privacy.
kenm
Clark just being a dick about people having a reasonable expectation of privacy.

I agree that this will be an interesting conflict, but the idea of Clark, of all people, thinking that people have no right to keep their superpowers secret is enough to make me want to switch to Team Lex.

I think if there's a reason Clark believes it- like he found something at Isis that could connect the killer to Chloe and Isis, or found something at the scene of the murder, etc- then I will understand him wanting to go into Chloe's records. If it's just wild speculation, if he wants to search through her files just in case... Well, then I see no excuse for it and it becomes blatant hypocrisy and dickishness. Either way, I'm on Chloe's side; Clark found murdering MFs before and he can do it again without breaching ethical boundaries. But I can understand Clark's POV if he has an actual reason.

As for Team Lex... We'd love to have you, kenm. ;-)

About the Instinct trailer

I don't understand why Lois talks in third person saying "There is nothing romantic about Lois and Clark." Why not say "Clark and I?" It's just another one of those ridiculous, annoying anvils, isn't it? Actually that whole commercial made me want to ripe my ears off. I mean "Legendary Love?" Huh, Did I miss something? I'm just praying I don't have to see it again.
Teen Titan
Focus on the bit where Awesome Maxima is about to punch her. I did.

Because pop quizz. A super strong alien has just flipped your car like it was a piece of paper, with you in it. Do you:

A) Run screaming from the vehicle.
B) Agree with everything she says and pray for mercy.
C) Taunt her, encouraging her to put her super strong fist through your face.

If you answered anything but C, then sorry, you're not smart enough to work at the Daily Planet. But it's not all bad. You're also not eligible for this years Darwin Awards.
Nat0117
I don't know why the writers tend to ignore the very obvious (to me, at least) fact that Nois is the most relatable and even semi-likable when she's just acting like a normal person. The combination of over-confidence and complete lack of logic and self-awareness, not to mention basic social skills, very simply makes it near impossible to stomach her. I mean really, who likes a douche bag? There's courageous and brave, and then there's just stupid. Even Clark, who can actually cash the checks, doesn't taunt his adversaries that way.

Just another example of Nois not acting like a normal person and why I have no desire to root for her dumb ass at all.
Independent
But I can understand Clark's POV if he has an actual reason.

Me, too. It's a little like a psychologist divulging details from a session with a patient. Verboten . . unless the patient expresses an intent to do bodily harm to someone.

The combination of over-confidence and complete lack of logic and self-awareness, not to mention basic social skills, very simply makes it near impossible to stomach her.

It's sad, really. I think it's not an easy task to find the fine line between writing Lois as confident or cocky, assertive or brazen, saucy or slutty, and I usually give the writers some leeway, because I think their hands have been tied with lots of things beyond their control. In this case, however, I think they've done tremendous damage to the character. Even if her full-on bull-in-a-china-shop mode comes from a childhood of neglect, she's an adult now and if she has any smarts at all, should have some insight and the ability to make appropriate changes. Her little jabs or needling of Clark could be less shrewish and more good natured. Maybe it's partly the writing and partly ED's delivery, but it seems beyond repair at this point.

Moved from the spoilers thread:

PS3 may be stupid but them mutherfuckers aren't suicidal.

LOL. You.Are.My.Hero.

In regards to the spec that the Fever letter will be used to pimp Clois: Well, I think what happens in this episode will say alot-and decide for me whether I want to continue to watch. Using this, of all things to pimp Clois is cruel, stupid, a big F YOU, and just wrong.

As already mentioned, there are other things that can be used. I just don't see the point. Regardless, if tptb did use it to pimp Clois, then that is as much of a blatant "We don't want you viewers anymore" sign as one could ever get.
acampbell

I would truly have enjoyed seeing the "Fever" letter dealt with, say, in the beginning of S3. You know, back when Clark broke up with Lana (for good, I thought: silly me!) because he just couldn't be the right guy for her. I'd have loved to see his discovery of her duplicity re: the letter contribute to that decision, and for Clark to realize that Chloe was a much better candidate for his affections.

Bringing it up now, IMO, is too little, too late, but then, I'm not a Chlarker. If I were, I'd surely enjoy it as much as I would enjoy seeing, oh, some resolution to the unresolved Clex items from around the "Shattered-Memoria" arc ...
Eurybia
I wonder if Tess being a marine biologist is ever going to come up again, or if it was specifically created for "Toxic." It seems odd that they went the marine biologist route instead of something more relevant to the plot. I mean, she could be a business maven or a genetic engineering prodigy or something. I keep trying to figure out how a marine biologist went to work for Lex, and the only connection I can come up with is "Aqua."

I bet it was just created for Toxic, though, and it will never be mentioned again.
apeygirl
Once again, the Canadians are kicking the CW's ass in promos. I seriously like that they focus on the actual plot rather than T&A and.... Well, Clois.

ETA: Just realize I'd typed Chlois at first. Ooops. Guess I still ain't done hoping.
Iconic
So her and Jimmy really do Kiss. How much you wanna bet this was when Chloe uses her power again.
EllyF
Mentally, I am obviously thirteen, because I can't help snickering every time I hear the immortal line, "I came when I saw your Kryptonian beacon." Clark's beacon must be darned impressive!

Good point about her and Jimmy kissing, though. We know that ought to kill him. But Chloe may find some other way to heal him via her computer-using ability.
savingpeople

Short answer? Yes.

But, I do find comedy in the fact that the "anvil" could very well be also taken in a literal sense. Taking it literally makes more sense to me than anything else because after all, there hasn't been anything romantic about them.

So her and Jimmy really do Kiss. How much you wanna bet this was when Chloe uses her power again.

Seeing as how the other dude she kissed croaked, I would figure Jimmy would have to as well, but if Chloe's power came back, I would roll my eyes in disgust at the convenience of that since just last episode, Chloe couldn't help Oliver.

Once again, the Canadians are kicking the CW's ass in promos. I seriously like that they focus on the actual plot rather than T&A

There is definitely more attention to what is actually going to happen in the Space promos versus the focus on sex in The CW trailer.

I wonder if Tess being a marine biologist is ever going to come up again, or if it was specifically created for "Toxic."

It's not a shout-out to George Costanza? :)

I figure, either, there is something coming dealing with the ocean or it's just another one of those things that is said to point out that she is smart like Ben Gates being a diver and having graduated from MIT or wherever in National Treasure.

I would truly have enjoyed seeing the "Fever" letter dealt with, say, in the beginning of S3.

That wouldn't have been much of a "wait".
marikology
So her and Jimmy really do Kiss. How much you wanna bet this was when Chloe uses her power again.

Man, I hope not. Hopefully it gets interrupted, but he just spends the rest of the episode in the hospital. But that doesn't mean I want a bedside Chimmy vigil either, show!

Mentally, I am obviously thirteen, because I can't help snickering every time I hear the immortal line, "I came when I saw your Kryptonian beacon." Clark's beacon must be darned impressive!

LMAO! EllyF, you are my favorite dirty old lady, ever.

Once again, the Canadians are kicking the CW's ass in promos. I seriously like that they focus on the actual plot rather than T&A and.... Well, Chlois.

Wasn't that Dr. Grohl, the guy Lana was blackmailing in "Arrow"? In the same episode as the Fever letter? My head might just explode from the continuity!
Teen Titan
I believe that is Grohl! I guess we can chalk the fact that they are conducting scientific experiments in Lex's office up to the budget cuts?

And I have to say, this is one instance when I think the CW trailer is ten times better. Even with the Clois pimping.
Sue Denim
And I have to say, this is one instance when I think the CW trailer is ten times better. Even with the Clois pimping.

Hmmm. Isn't Maxima carrying the Fever Letter in the Space trailer?
cmirk01
She wha???? Is she really?
Sue Denim
Possibly, but I'm inclined to think it is the Fever Letter, it looks like pink paper.
Adela1985
I was thinking the same thing Sue when I saw the trailer. She finds the letter and uses it to manipulate the situation around her.
Sue Denim
Which makes me wonder why she's going after men that Chloe likes--Jimmy and Clark. It's like she's assumed Chloe's LI's, that's how Climmy find out about the letter.
PolarB
She finds the letter and uses it to manipulate the situation around her.

How would Maxima know what the letter is, or even what it really means if she read it? It looks to me like Maxima doesn't have any dealings with Chloe, so her using the letter would be kind of pointless.
Sue Denim
How would Maxima know what the letter is, or even what it really means if she read it?

I think she must take the letter from Jimmy (how he gets it, I don't know), but she reads that part about [Clark] flying back to Chloe and then she takes it literal. She starts looking for Clark.

I just don't think they would CU a piece of paper unless it meant something.
apeygirl
And I have to say, this is one instance when I think the CW trailer is ten times better. Even with the Clois pimping.

See, I disagree, mostly because I feel like the CW promo monkeys don't actually watch the episode, just take one aspect and run with it. The Space trailers seem to actually show you what the setup is. The CW trailer makes it look like Clark is cheating on Lois, with the "legendary love" and all that.

Jimmy looks a wee bit too happy pre-kiss. Then again, maybe she's already given him a peck by then.

And here's my completely pessimistic spec on the Fever letter:

Maxima somehow gets it from Jimmy, which puts her onto Clark and at some point when Lois makes googly eyes, she assumes Lois wrote it and that they are involved. And that, of course, will piss me off because I hate the idea that that letter can in any way be attributed to Lois. But that's how I think it's gonna go.

And the barn convo will come at the end with a side of heavy Clois anvils, giving the letter no real meaning for Chlark, just a general meaning about Clark opening his eyes to girls other than Lana, which will, in this case, mean Lois.

Just kill me.
Teen Titan
Jimmy looks a wee bit too happy pre-kiss.

I assume Maxima has a hypnotic effect on men, thus Jimmy's pre-kiss happy.
nwp01
Oh God, can you imagine the disgusting lovey-dovey angst for Chimmy when Chloe realizes that Maxima kissed Jimmy?

Kill me now too.
EllyF

Superman/Clark with Bossfucker Nois is supposed to be Legendary? Just No, All kinds of Wrong & the word should be a: "Disgrace".
Eurybia
Not an iconic relationship? Did somebody lose the memo?
Maybe they realized we're sick to death of iconic, so they're going to overuse a new word now.
Iconic
Nevermind, I saw it
"we make a good team."

So Clois work with eachother for how long and they pimp this ship? Yet Chlark worked together for years and it's ignored?

Also Clark's face at the end wasn't a face of someone in Love.

The CW wants to say Clois starts tonight yet do we have proof this is the case?
