Which is stupid, because Jimmy is part of that dynamic. As a matter of fact, as far as investigating goes, Jimmy is more a part of that dynamic than Clark is. Unless, the only thing you know about the dynamic is Lois & Clark, and based on this show's "if it wasn't filmed, it's not important" attitude towards all things Superman, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

An even bigger question for me is: Why the heck does someone want to spend their time kidnapping couples to ask them questions about their love life? What the hell kind of villian is that?? Who cares if these random couples really love each other or not?
Let me guess: the villian of the week was scarred for life by some past lover, and now he's putting couples to the test...and if one lies about their true feelings..he kills them. Right.
Well on their defense they got a maid of honor criminal on LnC so at least they are stealing storylines from them like the Gouhglar teached then. How effective are the Sith masters...

I think you're onto something. SP3 could intersperse a photo of Dean every 5 min, thereby retrieving all those dissatisfied viewers who are boycotting Season 8. Add Sam during Sweeps.

On KK's page, for "Odessey", they have her character listed as Lana Luthor (on IMBD), so I am wondering aren't Lexana divorced? I really hope they made a mistake because I would hate Clark forever if he was shacking up with a married woman.
Teen Titan
Aug 7, 2008 @ 6:48 pm
Even though Lana and Lex are divorced, she could still have kept her married surname. Divorce does not automatically result in the woman's name being changed back, and many women (especially those with children from the marriage) chose to keep their married name.
I very much doubt Lana did though.
IMDB is notoriously unreliable. I wouldn't believe anything you read there.

Why is KK listed for "Odyssey" at all? Unless they're using old footage, perhaps for memories? Lana is listed as "Lana Lang" for all of S7, even in "Fracture" in which she is briefly Lana Luthor. It probably is just a mistake (they list LV as in the cast for the ep too), but it's odd.

Anyone remember Vanished? Where Sandra Bullock's character gets kidnapped, and the boyfriend played by Kiefer Sutherland gets obsessed with her disappearance? There's this bit, where he rents an apartment to work on the case in secret. When his current girfriend finds out, she goes out and buys a dark haired wig to confront him at the apartment.
It just now occured to me how much this show has set up Clark to be Kiefer's character and any woman after Lana to be the his new girlfriend.

Amber. A Lana flashback won't be a moping-Clark moment, it'll be a remembering-everybody moment, and if it happens, it'll surely include people like Lex, Martha, and Jonathan, too.

I have always wondered about the whole signing releases for flashback episodes. I would have thought if the company owned the episode (and your likeness) the first time around, they could use it whenever they want.
When 90210 was ending and they had a "looking back" type special, they didn't show Shannen Doherty once except for one group shot where they BLURRED out her face because she didn't sign a release.
If KK was under contract for the episode Calling (I'm picking that one because there's a Clana kiss in it) why couldn't they show a clip from it whenever they want?
As Lois would say, "rhetorical question [Lex]!" :-)
I'm not really expecting an answer...

Something really, truly contrived that makes no sense at all and will leave us all going "WTF, show!"?
Seriously, though, I wonder what caused the memory loss (and power loss too, by the looks of it)? Something to do with the destruction of the FoS and the disco ball, probably, but I hope they actually
explain it. But I bet this'll be like Kara's amnesia and disappearance, which we never really got a definitive reason or explanation for. Likely, considering the source.

Honestly, I believe this will be the role of the Martian Manhunter. We've seen BC, GA, and AC in that Comic con promo doing things, sneaking into that military base it seems. GA shooting Clark, BC taking people out with her cry. We know they rescue Clark.
We know Chloe is locked up/ is rescued and the chlimmy reunion.
There is also something else we know, is Lois at the maid and Clark joining Lois at the Planet and the absolute fake bump into each other.
We know it seems Clark lost his memory and all...
We dont know about MM's role in the story. He clearly isn't helping the JL as far as we know in rescuing Clark. Makes me wonder if he appears, restores Clark's memory then leaves, for that's the only role I actually see him doing right now.
Also I would like to know what other episodes he'll be in. according to TPTB he'll be in 3 episodes this year.
Also I would really like to know the condition on Shelby, poor dog, I fear they are going to pretend Clark never had him.

I thing 'duality' is the new catchphrase for PS3 this year. We had 'triangles' in season six, and 'duality' in season eight.
I wonder if poor TW has had to explain what the word means to them.
Joking aside, after season seven I do not give two craps about Jimmy Olsen. I am beyond hate - I just don't fucking care. I would rather watch
Lana than Jimmy, and I despise Lana - at least KK brings the pretty.
Craig has said
Sleeper may be the most hated episode of season seven (no small feat), and the further adventures of Jimmy Bond, treacherous fuckwit and destroyer of Chloe, do not interest me at all. YMMV.
An AA quote from the
Media thread:
Jimmy and Lois have a brother/sister thing going on where they kind of poke fun at each other, which is a neat dynamic. So I hope that they explore that a little more.
First, we had the Clark / Lois sibling vibe, which is going to change into sexual interest / sparks flying. Now, we have AA describing Jimmy / Lois as siblings, but he checks out her rack every chance he gets.
What is with the creepy incest vibe this show is giving off? Damn - this is just messed up, IMO.

Heh! I was going to make this Lex's role...
Speaking of Kisses of Forgetfulness..I have this really weird feeling that it may come into play this season. They already copied many things from the Superman movies-turning back time, the release of Zod....why not bring in the Kiss of Forgetfulness but with a Smallville twist?
What other powers is Clark supposed to get? I'm not sure..but I figure if there was some final power, this would be the season to do it (assuming it's the last season).
Pure speculation of course...just a suspicious, sinking feeling I have with the semi-return of the Chlarkana triangle, fever letter etc.
Or maybe they'd drop the biggest, heaviest anvil
evah! and do it with Clois at the end of the series..who knows.

That actually makes sense. A lot of sense. If he just randomly shows up for that, I think it'll seem contrived... but contrivance is the watchword for S8, and he seems like the best way for Clark to get his memory back.
I remember people speculated a while back that MM was going to be the one to get Chloe out of the hands of the DDS, but since she seems to be just going back to her regular life, I'm betting that it's either going to be Oliver or Tess. But since Oliver seems to be looking for Lex and not Clark in the arctic (if he'd talked to Chloe and Chloe sent him looking, I'd expect him to be going after Clark), I'm betting on Tess. Jimmy might make a deal with her to get Chloe out. That would bring back the deal with Lex and bring in that new (or not so new) "duality" AA was talking about. It would also be a repeat of a previous story, so it's perfect for SV!
Speaking of Kisses of Forgetfulness..I have this really weird feeling that it may come into play this season.
AlMiles promised that there would be no Kiss, but they were the founders of the Lying Liars Who Lie Club, so I'm scared it'll happen (to anyone really; I

Well since they are making the Clois kiss in Committed a big deal, could it appear there?
Honestly I bet they'll use it on Chlark. Clark gets the nerves and kiss Chloe on his own accord in the future, and it's the Kiss, and when they break apart she doesn't remember him. She goes off in Offscreensville, Clark sad for a while then heads to Lois, and we call it Smallville's Tragedy.
I know it's been said before about Lois supposedly only begin to b interested in Clark after he is all dressed up, and how shallow it is. Lois has seen him naked at least twice, and vise versa. If that doesn't make them hot and heavy for eachother, why would him being in a suit (something Lois has seen Clark dressed in before.) make her interested in?

The only logical conclusion is that Clark's not all that hot naked. Now, we've seen pretty much every part of his body sans clothes except for one section. I'm guessing it's that section that's not so impressive.

I've been kind of kicking around this idea ever since SW's E! interview and the ComicCon when he went on about how cool the Doomsday concept is. I think it's pretty obvious that at least part of concept is from the Superman/Batman serial - they just did that with a military guy this year.
However, in the E! interview Sam mentioned a bunch of things that made me think his character would be a new, and better, dark mirror to Clark. He also grew up without his bio parents, he's from Krypton, he's going through the whole 'acceptance of destiny' process that Clark has since the Pilot, he's dark haired and muscley, is in a 'noble' profession, and what sticks out is how he said he wouldn't move in on Chloe while she was with Jimmy.
But while Clark Kent will be Superman, Davis Bloome will be Doomsday. And since we know he is a medic, and we know that Davis is personally loosing time while all his horrendous crimes are going on, and I suspect like the Bats/Supes comic counter part , then the "cool" arc is kind of a play on The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In fact, I think that might be the real reason they went DMT on us when the opportunity presented itself.
Now the thing is for 8.06 Prey, I'm thinking Davis has to be in it since we know his other half should be causing murder and mayhem in Metropolis. The thing is, Davis as a nice guy should be like Clark - and do nothing. In fact, we've been told that. But, I kind of had a wonder if his Evil Half would in fact, stalk her fiance - or worse (hence a reason for the title).
I mean, Clark may or may not like Chimmy at that point - but he's going to be Superman, his other side isn't going to rip Jimmy limb from limb. Doomsday... might. And it would be an easy way to start building up the danger as well as the creep out factor for Davis as a character - and I think plenty of SV fans wouldn't mind a little Jimmy torture. :)
Plus it would make for a very tight script, which will be needed if there are only 4 people + MM in it - Quest, I'm looking at you. Plus with MM and his knowledge of all the criminals and working for Jor-El, it would be very easy to start laying the ground work for Doomsday, who he is, why, what, et all.
Anyway, that's my idea. If I'm wrong... then I still think the whole Jekyll/Hyde thing could have been awesome. :D
