That was fan-freakin'-tastic.
atem
Yes, it was! Thanks for sharing.

Ummm...Lionel looks like he's lost his marbles there. Did he say 'It's happening'?

eta

Nope. It's 'What's coming is so terrible'...right? Ha!
Eurybia
He looks terrified.

Ugh, if I never see those freakin' promos again, it'll be too soon.

What do you mean? From the trailer? I didn't see that.
Orestes96
It looked to me that Lionel was telling Lex about the "something terrible" that was coming. Or it was implied, at least. Let me hope, atem! Let me have some hope! :D
DonnyMarie
Lionel was telling Lex about the "something terrible"

I think that's in the Daily Planet basement. The windows in the back ground look like the windows in the basement.

LOL! OK.:)

I think you are right. It looks like the DP.

I'm just glad the kid painting wasn't what the key opened!
liz antoinette
Well damn, did the CW hire new promo monkeys? Seriously, the trailers lately have been fantastic.

I'm really looking forward to this.

That's officially what I'm going to say whenever I offer people gum.

I got a Lara Croft Tomb Raider vibe outta the clock.

Does anyone else think that the Swan locket key and the one Lionel is holding are separate ones, but go to the same lock?

I agree think he is talking to Chloe on that scene, if you freeze it you can see that her hair is light, like blond.
And it looks like wrongda was right and Lana gets paralized/coma you can see her on a chair with her eyes closed...I wonder if is Brainiac doing?

Does anyone else think that the Swan locket key and the one Lionel is holding are separate ones, but go to the same lock?

I agree. I think is probable that Lex knew about every member of Veritas having a key and that Patricia had hers on the locket that would explain why he killed her and I think that Lionel will give his to wether Lana or Chloe.

Moving this here from the Spoilers Only thread:

Longer trailer for Veritas.
nex
There's a DC for Veritas at cw.com. Can someone please transcribe it for those of us who can't see it?
Scry
All I see is the extended trailer, nex. Are you sure that's not what you're talking about?

You're probably right, there's only one SV video and because of the description bellow it (about the battle between Braniac and the cousins) I thought it might be the DC cause they're usually action oriented, but it seams it's just the extended trailer.
PolarB
SPACE had their own Veritas trailer on tonight after they aired Traveler:

- the "I may have the answers to all your questions" scene between Kara and Brainiac
- Kara trying to convince Clark that he needs to learn how to fly, though no shots of any attempts
- Clark saying that it won't matter if he can fly or not if they don't know where Brainiac is
- Lionel with either the key from Patty's locket, or one just like it
- Lionel in a shot with Chloe in what looked like the barn
- Lionel saying "what's coming is so terrible" but no indication who he was saying it to

Uggg, I so freaking hate with a passion this Kara teaching Clark to fly shit. I think that thing alone kills a part of my looking forward to this episode.
Black Panda
To me it's like Lionel is addressing his warning to Chloe's boobs. Oh Canada!
DonnyMarie
Lionel in a shot with Chloe in what looked like the barn

I think that's the Daily Planet. In the scene where Lionel is talking about "terrible things," you can see by the windows, it's the DP basement, plus it's Chloe he's saying that ("terrible things")to. You can see that the person has blonde hair, and is wearing the same outfit as Chloe has on in the first Lionel scene.

The outfit Chloe has on, looks like the one that the female character was wearing (in the panel of her being shot in front of the gas station) in the comic from the episode "Action."

Honestly, I don't mind it that much. I don't expect him to succeed, or for Kara to really be what gets him to fly, eventually. Sure, she might be the push out the window, but when it comes down to it, I have a feeling it'll be all Clark.

Yeah, on second viewing it looks like you're right. I was just trying to remember as much as possible after seeing it the first time.

Why? Because she's wearing a blue shirt?

It is kind of funny-looking shot. :)

I'm interested in why Lionel goes to Chloe for help if Clark is in danger and not Lana. Granted, Lionel and Lana don't have a great history (considering, she arranged for him to be kidnapped and tortured, heh), but Lana is his girlfriend. I'm guessing Lionel figured to skip a step and go to someone who could actually do something to help.

What outfit? The royal blue material of her shirt? That I could only glimpse on her shoulders?

How do we know he's going to her for help? What did I miss?
Eurybia
Thanks for the link, BadToad.

So there are two keys in this episode? One that Lionel got out of his necklace and the other that Lex got from Patty's locket? Hm.
GabbyA
How do we know he's going to her for help? What did I miss?

It looks like Lionel kneels down in front of Chloe, begging her to listening to him. Yeah he ain't the MB, he's gonna die a good guy. Um he's basically telling Chloe because Lionel trusts Chloe more then Lana and beside he's Jor-El's vessel so maybe the Jor-El in him now favors Chloe a lot more then Lana.

Yeah it's blue yet it doesn't look like it'll be a dress. Also since the comic book was made before this scene IMHO it's meant to say whoever had shared aspects to the comic BEFORE Action is the one who is linked and the wound of the Action girl and the color of the dress matches EDLois's stab wound location and color of her outfit meaning the Action girl mimics EDLois's Phantom death. Clothing choices aren't necessarily foreshadowing.
PolarB

Lionel is freaking out about something "terrible" that's going to happen in Veritas. We don't know what that is, but whatever it is, it undoubtedly has to do with Clark, and from that scene, it seems that Chloe is the one Lionel is telling this to. It's a good spec that he's doing this because he thinks Chloe can help in some way, even if it's just to convince her that he's still on Clark's side.
GabbyA
So there are two keys in this episode? One that Lionel got out of his necklace and the other that Lex got from Patty's locket? Hm

Maybe there is a key for every member that unlocks something, Lionel had to kill them to gain their keys, also this could explain what Chloe steals in Decent, Patricia's locket.
DonnyMarie
Maybe Lana is in her catatonic state at this point?
Adela1985
I don't think Lionel goes to Chloe for help. I think this is the scene that goes after the Chlionel confrontation. She goes and confronts Lionel about Veritas and than we get this scene of Lionel trying to convince Chloe of what really is going down.
SueB
After Traveler, I fully expected Lionel to reach out to "Miss Sullivan". He's sweet on her I tell ya. He admires Chloe --- she did put him in prison for pity's sake but he seems to have let that go after he tried to have her killed. I think he hates Lana much more at this point and she didn't help him in Siren (we have call waiting) plus threatened to kill Lex if he hurt Clark. No, he'd stay away from Lana at this time is my guess.

I also suspect he'll throw a Chlark angle in --- he's going to try to manipulate her somehow.
GabbyA

Well in Nemesis he did the same to Lana. "Clark is lucky to have a woman so concerned about his well being."

How do we know the chlionel confrontation isn't Lionel going to Chloe and her asking about his true motives?
Bkwurm
I love the Chlionel stuff (always do) but I was struck by Kara's comment. We haven't heard "Up, up, and away" since Chloe made it into the DP in Thirst.
Maryliz48
Whoa....Lionel's bowing before the Chloevage? LOL. No, the trailer looks awesome. Except I dont get why Clark really needs kara to help him fly. Jeesh.
CantThinkUpName

Veritas also seeks out stolen WW2 paintings? Seriously though, that seems possible since, IIRC, in one trailer both Lex and Lionel are looking at keys and for some reason I assume they are different ones.

Whoa....Lionel's bowing before the Chloevage?
I am really looking forward to that scene. Has Lionel ever begged on his knees before? (Son of Jor-El, kneel before Chloe.)
Eurybia
I am really looking forward to that scene.
Word!

Seriously though, that seems possible since, IIRC, in one trailer both Lex and Lionel are looking at keys and for some reason I assume they are different ones.
They both seem to come from necklaces, Lionel's from one he has around his neck (which is new, right?) and Lex's from Patty's necklace.
Sue Denim
It's interesting the position Lionel is in in relationship to Chloe. She's in the power position, as he seems to be kneeling to her. The camera is position to look up on her, making her seem bigger and more important. Looks very Citizen Kane to me.
SueB
From the promo:

- The "clock" looks like the five stars of Veritas, marching down to something (hence the comment by Maybe!Mercy that got cut off when Kara showed up in Hero)

From the March trilogy preview but not yet seen in Hero or Traveler:

- Lex opening a safety deposit box (looks right sized for that clock!)
- Clark in the FoS
- Lex at the window

Wonder if Clark will have time to make it up to that FoS?
Liv06
Yeah it's blue yet it doesn't look like it'll be a dress.

From the actual trailer screening on tv, the shirt is a deep green, and I thought it was a blouse, not a dress too.
GabbyA
Here is a better look at the canadian trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_pwnawUJOw

Yup the outfit Chloe is wearing is a dark green.

It looks Like Lionel has his own locket and key, meaning I may be right about each group having their own key.
Bkwurm
Dark green? Mmm, I don't know. Maybe a dark teal.
Liv06
I was thinking they might make use of Oliver's apartment set as one for Chloe. When Patty said she would take an apartment in Met. that's the first place I thought of. It too would have the computers etc set up. The thing is, I don't associate such big, grand places with Chloe. *shrugs* I just don't see this lasting into season 8 for some reason. It would depend on what they're doing with Lex, and what they're going to try and tie up this season.
leothelion
Also, I cannot even contemplate Chloe moving into the farm. She better not move into the farm, if that happens I will be ticked off. Chloe would stand on her own in the faces of challenges like this. Chloe hs her own path, I don't want her to follow Lana's. I don't want it to seem like she's filling in while Lana is away in either location. Not just no, HELL NO!
I disagree. It makes perfect sense for an UNEMPLOYED person like Chloe to receive a little help from her BFF. Clark has opened the farm to others, not just Lana. Kara has lived there, Lex has stayed over before. I encourage Chloe to go stay with Clark. It makes perfect sense, imo. The farm isn't ruined or desecrated simply because Lana has lived there before. To me, that's like saying Clark is ruined and Chloe should never be with him because Lana has been. If that's the approach we're taking, then Chloe is totally desecrated by JO *shrugs*..it doesn't get any worse than that ass, imo.

The thing is, I don't associate such big, grand places with Chloe. *shrugs*
Right. Chloe is a simple girl in most respects. I certainly wouldn't expect a girl with no job to suddenly appear in a lavish apartment in Metropolis.
Jack Burton
I considered that Lex also kicks her out of her place since she won't be able to afford the rent (or just for spite).

But then I thought about Chloe living at the farm 24/7 with twice the chloogling, twice the teases, and twice the screentime and I think I lost feeling in my left arm.
PolarB
Also, I cannot even contemplate Chloe moving into the farm.

I don't think anyone's suggesting Chloe needs to move into the farm in order to do her research there. Chlark could just as easily have their scooby session in the Kent's living room as they do now at the DP. Clark certainly didn't need to be an employee at the DP to do that, so I don't think Chloe needs to be a resident in the Kent house in order to switch research venues.

I was thinking they might make use of Oliver's apartment set as one for Chloe.

Could do. Again, Chloe doesn't need to move in, as it's clear Oliver still uses the apartment himself whenever he breezes through town, so it wouldn't make sense for anyone else to move in, but as a place to do research, I could see this as a viable option as well.

encourage Chloe to go stay with Clark. It makes perfect sense, imo.

I'm honestly curious as to why? Chloe doesn't seem to have any issue living with Lois, and as she's been doing it for near two years now, if there were problems, I think they would have come up by now. I realize it might be nice from a 'shipper perspective, but strictly in a storytelling sense, the TPTB don't seem to find it problematic keeping both Lois and Chloe at the Talon apartment. Unless something is coming up to change that - perhaps Lex throws the girls out of the apartment when he fires Chloe - I don't think we'll see either of them move out of the Talon for the rest of the series.
leothelion
I'm honestly curious as to why?
Simple finances, Polar. I wouldn't have the least problem with Chloe going to stay with Clark out on the farm if the issue is raised that Lex wants her out of the Talon apartment. Why shouldn't she go stay with Clark for a while if she's jobless and without income? We don't know that the show will raise this issue or not, it's just spec. For all we know, Chloe will continue to stay with Nois in the apartment. When the instant that a friend or family member finds themself in trouble, the first thing Clark does is try to help, and he offers them the farm. I don't see a problem with that. Should Chloe go stay on the street?
Liv06

I don't really find it to be a problem for Chloe to move into the farm, in the end. I mean, Lana issues aside, it makes sense for her best friend to make the offer for her. I just like the Chloe versus Lana versus Nois comparisons here if she does move in. She's has a Luthor as her editor (like Nois did) and is standing up for herself and the DP to the extent that she's getting fired over it instead of heading to the Storeroom of Sex with Lex (no matter how many people wish otherwise); it's entirely plausible that to continue with the contrasts they'd have her live at the farm and work together with Clark and Kara, as opposed to Lana, who kept her secrets eh Isis, her spying from Clark and pretty much made life at the farm, well to my mind, anything but happy.
Sue Denim
I have no problems with Chloe at the farm, but I think that there's a safety element too that needs to be discussed. If Lex is the big baddie after Chloe, then I think Clark's going to have concerns with Chloe being in establishment controlled by Lex. Except for MetU (and maybe even then) Chloe's always lived in LuthorCorp associated places.

eta: I'm not sure about the 1 bedroom in s4 though.
PolarB
I wouldn't have the least problem with Chloe going to stay with Clark out on the farm if the issue is raised that Lex wants her out of the Talon apartment.

In this case, I could see it. However, I think the Talon apartment will remain. The show has raised the issue of the DP changing and jobs being in jeopardy ever since Lex bought it, but they've never raised him still owning the Talon as being in any way problematic for Lois and Chloe, despite how much sense it would make for them to. Given that, I expect it will continue to be more or less "forgotten" that Lex is also their landlord, and any repercussions will be employment related.
