Seriously, you're right. It makes no sense to me how they handle things at the CW. If you take a marketing course at college, the CW would be the prime example used when it came to the "What not to do when promoting a product" lecture.

My guess is that it has a lot more to do with Lana being "dead" than Chloe being dead or the Phatoms being gone.

Hey, its Clark-centric. Color me shocked!!

I can understand Clark saying he's got no reason to stay in SV anymore. Dad's dead, Lana's dead, Mom's in Washington, Chloe's got her own career and boyfriend. Just about the only thing that should be holding him back is Shelby. But of course we know stuff is going to crop up and he's not going anywhere for now.

So, who is Lex talking to in the promo?

I thought it was a decent trailer. Not "Oh Wow!" good. But the emphasis on Clark, and the music were quite good.

And might the CW have rolled this trailer out a few days early because they were getting a lot of shit from irritated SV watchers? Just a thought. I do know that people were emailing them about it.

I'm guessing that the voice speaking to Chloe is a female ER physician.

I sounds like the female SMC doctor who's been around since S2, I think. And really, at this point, she's seen enough of all of them that she's probably emotionally invested. :)

You know, that trailer was exactly what every trailer on this show should be. Its focus was on Clark and the whole mythology/destiny that goes along with it. I liked it.

And oh, no Lana in the trailer. I don't care what the motive is behind that, but it just made me very very happy.

Yeah, exactly. You know, no Clark saying "I'm all alone now" while showing Lexana having sex with emo music in the back nonsense. It's pure Clark combined with action scenes, mythology and that whole Superman-is/destiny music. I just wish they would keep it that way for the entire season...

It's something any 8-year old with a computer could've made, but I sort of like the call-back to the Pilot. Plus, I love the background music (and the lack of it at the very beginning). Could've used some new scenes, but eh. Still looks cool. :)

I just got a reply from my local affiliate from an email I sent them about a month ago asking when we would see Trailers for Smallville. :) A little late, but oh well.

But they did respond mentioning that The CW has weighted this season's promotion to their new shows, in particular gossip girl. Which is pretty evident even without the email. But things don't look good for grand Smallville promotion this year.


Edit: Looks like our big 1-week-to-go gift from The CW is a new font vs new footage for Smallville Trailers. Gah!

Basically the same thing they gave us before only new titles. Freakin' weak CW...very weak.

Oh, I know her first appearance will be underwater, but I have a feeling this trailer is the footage that's going to be the last few seconds of the premiere, right before the credits.

It is a cool trailer (and reminiscent of the end of "Phantom," with her flying right into the camera). But all it really serves to do is remind me how ticked I am that they're letting her fly before Clark. Man, I'd love to see a non-mind-whammied Clark fly like that *sulks*.

Was it really neccessary to give her her own trailer? What a waste of their budget. I wanted scenes from the season, not this cheezy attempt to get a spin-off. She shouldn't be above the show, she's not the main character, nor the second most important character, or the 3rd, or the 4th, or the 5th, or the 6th.

I think I've seen all the Kara promotion that I care to see. I'm all Supergirl'd out.

I don't know. That last one actually got me a little jazzed about Supergirl. I hope LV doesn't suck. I was pretty psyched about Lois coming to the show until ED sat around for two episodes, dropping anvils and giving clunky line-readings.

ETA: Not saying ED's that bad of an actress. She just doesn't appeal to me. Let's hope LV's good. I want to like this show again. I try not to get mad at it, but it keeps poking me. I'm so about to take all my toys and go home.

When I watched Star Trek yesterday, I didn't see any promos for SV. I saw one for Reaper, though.

Ah, there's that barn set. What's with the similar clothing, though? They're the exact same colours. Weird.

Does anyone know if there are more of these barn set promos coming out for the other actors? It sort of seems odd to just do photoshoots for two cast members and leave out the rest.

But the shirt is almost the same color....if you use photoshop and put Laura in the same "light" as Erica you'll see the color is almost identical...Laura's is slightly lighter.....
