According to this, http://www.trektoday.com/news/040104_03.shtml it appears they are going to do some sort of tribute for Kellie Waymire. I posted the link here because the article also contains spoilery info.

New trailer up at startrek.com.

Looks pretty decent...and having the spheres as religious objects is a nice way to make what could be a standalone ep into part of the arc. (Poor Maywho.)
Cleo256
So, apparently, even if Bermaga think the Sept 11 parallels are unintentional, the UPN promo-monkeys are going to make damn sure we all see it.

(That comment's based on the trailer for "Chosen Realm", by the way)

The photo caption grabbed me: Archer is put in a corner.

However, he is not nearly as cute as Jennifer Grey.

Here's a trektoday article about two upcoming eps. Pretty cool info about the mutiny. Maybe the "Trip for Captain" campaign was heard by someone.

From what CT says it looks like those disturbing "Harbinger" rumors may be true or at least partly true.

I just read the article referring to the mutiny over on Trek Today and was coming here to shout a big WooHoo! However, I also have the sinking feeling that, whatever the circumstances of the mutiny, Archer will be proven right and restored to all-knowing leader by the end of the arc.

Maybe the "Trip for Captain" campaign was heard by someone.

I wonder if Trip will take over as Captain or if it will be T'Pol? Since T'Pol is not part of StarFleet nor even any longer an officer of the Vulcan High Command, it should be Trip. But, even without any official rank, T'Pol has been acting as First Officer so it will probably be her.

From what CT says it looks like those disturbing "Harbinger" rumors may be true or at least partly true.

I don't think they're rumors anymore. Multiple sources have confirmed that the relationship is going to happen. I think it's great that Trineer and Blalock are concerned with maintaining the integrity of their characters no matter what the writers throw at them. These are my two favorite characters so I'm actually looking forward to this plotline as long as it's well done and there is a plausible explanation given for T'Pol's very un-Vulcanlike behavior.

Woo, mutiny! Someone's been listening to me, haven't they? I'm just going to cover my ears and pretend that

isn't 100% true.

Trip for Captain!

I'm also covering my ears and pretending that "Harbinger" isn't going to happen, either.
skye1974
I doubt if it will be any type of real mutiny. I think it'll probably just be a threat or two from Trip or maybe Malcolm. Then, in the end, as you said, Archer will maintain his "all-knowing" leadership. Hee!

As far as Trip/T'Pol? I don't know. I haven't been too hateful of the neuropressure scenes solely because Trinneer and Blalock have saved them with decent acting. They are not all gaspy and angst-ridden. And except for the "I'm always up for a challenge" comment in Similitude, they don't seem to have been written by a 12-year old.

ETA that I forgot about that first horrible neuropressure scene in "The Xindi". OK, well most of the scenes have been tolerable. Or am I wanking?
Regent
I doubt if it will be any type of real mutiny.

Aye. I'm willing to bet it's blamed on the anomalies in the expanse, and everyone's hunky dory and singing kumbyaa at the end.

Some more spoiliness has been posted on TrekToday: http://www.trektoday.com/news/080104_04.shtml

So a mutiny is staged in 'Hatchery' but we don't know if it will be resolved by the end of the episode or not, but we now know that Daniels will return in the next episode and whisk Archer back to the future to fill him, and only him, in on more crucial details.

I'll speculate that, upon returning from the future, Archer will have the knowledge necessary to prevent the Human-Xindi war and the rest of the crew, of course, need him to save them from destroying the Xindi. At first they will not believe him but they will inevitably come to their senses and realize that they are totally incompetent and are incapable of saving Earth without the Great Jonathan Archer leading them. Unfortunately, I think that's about how it will play out.

I really don't like the Daniels plotline. I think it would be much more dramatic if the crew had to work together and really figure things out as a team instead of having the captain be spoon-fed information by a time-traveler. The only way I will like the Daniels angle is if he does turn out to be evil as some have speculated. I would love it if it turned out he had been playing Archer for a gullible fool all this time.
Saeward
Unless there's some extenuating circumstance which could serve to excuse extreme behavior, the mutiny couldn't involve any of the major cast members because it would ruin them in the viewers' eyes. If Malcolm, for example, mutinied against his captain without proper justification, it would make him a bad guy--and the show can't allow that (because it would be too interesting?) or if they did, it would be out of character for the producers.
nelamm
It happened on Voyager, didn't it? A few times, some real, some not, as it turned out.
Regent

It happened in ST: TNG too in "Allegiance" but it was another one of those "it isn't really the captain" plots so it doesn't "count" as mutiny.

I still think they're going to resolve this in such a way as to leave me saying, "Oh come ON! Sheesh!"
GoldfishGirl42
Slightly spoilery interviews from Manny and CT.

CT made an interesting comment about nudity not being necessarily that intimate for Vulcans. I guess I'd agree, since the really intimate act for Vulcans seems to be melding. And thank god for wanting to keep it complicated!

I have really enjoyed CT's comments about the Trip/T'Pol relationship in a number of recent interviews. He's emphasized how he and Jolene have talked about their scenes together and the need to stay true to their characters.

"Azati Prime" spoilage.

"Insists on being the one to do it?" Sheesh. I mean I get Archer not wanting to send someone else off to die, but to quote Alan Rickman from the immortal GalaxyQuest, "Oh, it's always about you isn't it?"
Doogie2K
The Bridge and Engineering took heavy damage, and at one point a crewmember (doubled for by stunt coodinator Vince Deadrick, Jr.) was engulfed in flames.

Maybe it's my sadistic streak, but I always find it kind of funny to see someone running around covered in flames. I laughed my ass off when the Steward of Gondor (Boromir's father--I forget his name) did just that, and then jumped off the thousand-foot-high courtyard in Return of the King.
Melk
Really? Cause people on fire have always been tres scary for me.

Why is this all about Archer? I know TNG was mostly the Picard show, but Picard was interesting and Patrick Stewart for god's sake. I'm not sure I can take another episode of The Archer (with supporting characters and occasional big dinners) Show, and that's what "Azati Prime" looks like.

Give me a Hoshi/Malcolm/Travis show and I'll shut up. Because we see so little of those three there's still a glimmer of hope that they might be interesting.

You must be reading my mind, TNG's focus on Picard worked because both the character and the actor were so compelling. On the other hand, Archer is only interesting when he's interacting with Trip, T'Pol, Phlox, and Reed. Left on his own or with the alien of the week, he's beyond boring. Phlox's bat is more compelling than this guy.

Its no coincidence that this season's best episodes have been ensemble pieces and that the least interesting ones have featured Archer.
nelamm
Why substitute a stunt coordinator (is that the same as a stuntman) to be on fire? Why just have him play the part?

The father was Denethor, by the way.
Gytha Ogg
A stunt coordinator:stunt man::choreographer:dancer, as I understand it, nelamm. He or she is responsible for planning the stunts and for making sure of safety measures on set.

Sometimes, stuntmen or stunt coordinators are also actors. Vince Deadrick Jr. does have some acting credits, for instance. Patricia Tallman (Lyta on B5, and a couple of things on Trek) also works as a stuntwoman.

As for why he wouldn't play this particular part, we can only speculate:
Maybe he's too busy as S.C. to take on the acting job as well.
Maybe there's a clause in his S.C. contract preventing him from working on that show as an actor.
Maybe he wasn't considered right for the part in other respects.
Maybe it's a recurring character who's getting BBQ'd. The tenderest, juiciest possibility. Ew. Sorry. I know. I'm sick.

If it's just a random redshirt getting burned, then I'm mystified, too.

Phlox Gone Wild

Well. This should be, interesting.

Did I miss something? The link took me to a search page for "hthttp" -- was it supposed to? If so, I didn't get the reference. (For some reason, the caffeine doesn't seem to have kicked in today and I feel sooooo dull-witted.)
Gytha Ogg
Billingsley said, "And in that amazing way I have of somehow knowing this s--t, I say, 'Well, if we do this, all of the humans are going to be driven mad.'"

I already loved Phlox, but John Billingsley is also so my boyfriend now.
GoldfishGirl42
This should be good; although I'm sort of disappointed they're not including the flower pot.
And yes , JB rocks.

ETRemove redundanacy
tothemax
The article is spoilery. Beware.
thingamajig
Well, this is the spoiler thread, tothemax. :)

I think a Phlox-centric episode sounds great.
dc3
Hee! Remember earlier in the series when Billingsley was giving Trinneer grief about always running around in his underwear?
nelamm
Can someone explain the flowerpot joke? I'm a bit dense today.
GoldfishGirl42

It's that, unrestrained by clothing , Phlox's...er, "instrument" is so long that it reaches across sick-bay and knocks over the flower pot.

It's sort of funny , I think( but then again , I am 12. :)
LadyBunbury
Hehehehe, flower pot.

Apparently, Phlox could go to a fancy dress party as a petrol pump ...
tothemax

Fine, thinga, point out the obvious.

I have a 3-year-old; pointing out the obvious is my job these days.

OK, I want Pippin to come in here and tell us what spoilery things she saw on the ENT set!
zooropa
I've been posting on the 'Proving Ground' thread that I don't believe that Archer had the crew keeping a close watch on the Andorians despite him telling Shran that at the end. I have another reason for not believing him that I'll post here.

There was a spoiler that in the upcoming 'Hatchery' there will be a mutiny on Enterprise. No idea who will mutiny or even if it will actually take place or just be discussed, but I have a theory about why some of the crew will at least be in the mood for mutiny.

In 'Hatchery' they are supposed to come across some Xindi insectoid eggs that Archer decides to try and save. I think he is going to suggest either bringing them aboard Enterprise or using Enterprise's supplies to save them. I think that after all the times this season he has ignored his senior officers and put the crew in danger by allowing aliens aboard, they are going to be fed up and challenge him on it. He will insist, as always, on doing it his way and some of the crew will refuse leading to talk of mutiny. That's my prediction and my perspective of having Archer allow the Andorians free roam of the ship in 'Proving Ground' goes along with my theory, so I'm sticking to it.

The production report for 'Damage' is up and this one looks interesting for nothing else than to see a Xindi aquatic ship. That sounds cool. http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/news...ticle/4291.html
GoldfishGirl42
Damage plot details.

Enterprise being severely damaged sounds interesting, but this...this:

The situation on Enterprise also leads T'Pol to confess a personal secret.

I love Trip, and Connor Trinneer, and I've become more optimistic about T/ T'P getting together in Harbinger, but if Bermaga knocks T'Pol up, I will seriously kick some ass.
thingamajig

Euurrgghh. I like T'Pol just fine nowadays as long as she's just doing her Vulcan thing, but seriously, I do not want her getting all weepy and emotional, which you know she will if she's going to "confess a personal secret." I like my Vulcans stoic, damn it!
dc3
Pregnant? Nah, although I'd give a lot to see a maternity catsuit...
Really a Romulan?
Pa'naar (sp?!) Syndrome kicking in again?
She never learned to read?

I figure it's just her confessing to Trip about her Vulcan Mind AIDS--I think only CQ knows about that right now.
Kalen
I think she might be dying from Pan'ar syndrome.

It'll be a long wait to find out. Damage doesn't air until April 21st!

It does sound like Azati Prime and Damage are gonna rock my world though. Twilight might have some contenders for my favourite episode when these air.
skye1974
Hmm....interesting story. I wonder if she is a cousin or a sister, perhaps? Do we know much about Quantum's family outside of his father? And the half Human, half Vulcan? Can't wait...
AdamMethos
I thought Spock was the first half-human half-Vulcan hybrid? Was this ever mentioned in canon or have I just read too much fan fiction?
Saeward
My thought reading that was that it's a "potential future" story, and the characters mentioned are descendants of the current staff. Therefore, the Vulcuman is the son of. . .I can't say it, I'm getting tense.
nelamm
And another badly damaged ship is magically repaired in a new timeline, and dead crew come to life.

More from startrek.net link.

02.25.04 Hatchery 069
Enterprise finds a crashed Xindi-Insectoid ship containing an incubation chamber filled with Insectoid eggs. The crew must now decide whether to devote resources to save the offspring.
03.03.04 Azati Prime 070
Archer embarks on a suicide mission to destroy the Xindi's nearly completed planet-killing weapon.
04.21.04 Damage 071
While dissension among Xindi ranks festers, Enterprise tries to recover from a devastating attack.

It's bad when you see "Archer embarks on a suicide mission..." and you think, "Promise?"

As I don't frequent the site - can you guys go here without having a login?

My first thought is "it can't be that suicidal, since they make it out in one piece", but then I realized, they said Quantum goes on the suicide mission, but Enterprise tries to recover. Hm...

Oh dear god no.

Seriously, if it's a future ep I will be ill. When this show started up I thought they're going to be hard pressed to make it interesting when we all know what happens. Apparently they're just getting around this problem by a)changing Trek history and b)having time become as bendy as some soggy spaghetti.
Cleo256
But, the Xindi are supposedly trying to save from destruction a world that has already been destroyed for 150 years. Time's already pretty bendy. And since it all ties in with the Temporal Cold War, I think it's okay. As long as it's a logical component of the story.
akg
As long as it's a logical component of the story.

This will be the trick but I'm pretty easy when it comes to time travel stories. I generally enjoy them too much to nitpick (much, I'll still do it).
