Love this show.
Love.It!
I know it's all fake, but it's the funniest thing I have seen on late night tv. Did you guys see the one where the guy thought his girlfriend was cheating so he busted in on her (after seeing the requisite video from Mr. Greco), and it turns out she was cheating with two girls and they liked to put on clown make-up and dress up in construction gear? the hell?
I hated Joey Greco and I was really missing Tommy Grand however this is horrible I can't believe he got stabbed.
That sucks
That episode was priceless! Like someone said up thread, the expression on that smarmy Joey Greco's face was priceless. The heavy breathing. What a ham.
How come Tommy Grand doesn't host anymore?!?! He was HIALRIOS in the way he would repremand the cheater, all the while the cheater and the person being cheated on would be arguing back and forth and Grand amidst all of that would be saying stuff like "Are you only concerned about your feelings?", are you just gonna walk away!?
I hate Joey Greco. What an ass. You know he's making his moves on the ladies (and maybe the guys) when they get back in the car after the confrontation. That Tommy guy could handle himself. On a recent episode, some guy got 'in Joey's face' and he said, "You better back off me man" and slapped his hand away. Mr. Toastie said, 'Dude, you could kick his ass better than that Joey guy could." Sad.
They showed an episode where the girl was going to show Dallas what her boyfriend was missing. So she picks up her ankle and pulls it up to her shoulder (a Y stand if you ever took dance). Of course, she's wearing a mini-skirt so her 'stuff' is pretty much exposed (pink panties and all) and Joey can't stop looking at her crotch. He was all, "That's really impressive" and he didn't take his hands off of her for the rest of the night.
Hooray for Cheaters! 'Quality' entertainment!

The rest of the story. There was dildo's hanging over the bed and a strobe light going off. And when the guy came into the room they took off running naked. And one of the girl had something kinda like black masking tape on her back.

Oh yeah, that's right!
He caught her with one girl and then the 'girlfriend' started going into the bathroom and the third girl (with the duct tape on her back) came out. Oh yeah, when he walked in on them, wasn't the one girl spanking his girlfriend?
And her excuse?
"Honey, this is what I'm into, I was just scared to tell you"

How could this thread go on and no one ever put up a link to

I think that Tommy Grand was the best part of the show. The new host just doesn't have his charisma and sleaziness.
I hate reality shows, but this one is just too camp to pass by.

Tommy Grand was the best. I stopped watching the show when he left. I just caught a new episode with the new host, who sucks. He isn't nearly as good at delivering those thesaurused-to-death introductions ("oscillating affections?" "seeking diversion?" So awesome).

I saw the stabbing episode AGAIN this weekend. Please please, please air the same episodes over and over here! MORE!
Highlights of the stabbing:
The Paramedics have no problem with the crew jumping in the ambulance for the ride. And I just loved the part where Joey was laying there grimacing in pain, oxygen mask on, and the camera guy blurts out something witty like "You feelin' OK man?!".

Anyone familiar with DFW can tell instantly where Cheaters is filmed. Texas highways have a somewhat unique look to them. I love seeing the different areas in which they film.

I finally saw the stabbing incident on the VH1 special. Can I just a say a big O.C.: Eww! The host looked so white and pale and yet they just kept filming!
Last week's episode were brilliant. There was one with this old 50-year old dude with tattoos all over his body. His wife of 13 years suspected hiumof cheating....So they go and confront him and he tells her that and I quote: I been fucking you for 13 years, I had to fuck someone else! Best Quote Ever!

Oh, jeez. This is has to be the worst of all my guilty pleasures.
I love when Joey tries to instill drama into otherwise dead-end surveillance when he talks about the cheater "dejectedly" buying beer "to drown his disappointment" and then driving off "sadly." How exactly does one drive "sadly"?

My BF got me hooked on this show. Every Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. we're in bed watching this show. I don't like the first host. His nose bothered me, but he looked alright when he had like a 5 o'clock shadow goin on.
I saw a recap of one epeisode where this chick was cheating on her fiance who was this old white guy. She was sleeping with his best man. The recap was her talking about what happened and how she didn't like having sex with him because she wasn't attracted to him. If she felt like that why did she want to marry him?! Then she goes on to say that after awhile she drove by her ex-fiance's house because she heard it was for sale and it was actually burned down! My BF thinks that the lady and the ex-best man set it on fire cause they were pissed off that the wedding was off. That she was gonna marry the guy so that she can get his money and the house. hehe

It's true...the Dallas connection is what keeps me coming back to this show. It makes me homesick as well, but in that emotionally twisted sort of way. I always think i'm going to see my high school classmates on Cheaters...yes, they were that trashy. I especially like it when they end up in the Dallas "hot spots" like the West End. Lord.
The bust with the construction worker costumes and strobe lights is second only to Joey's stabbing. In that episode, the boyfriend/cheat-ee was supposed to be a super fundamentalist-Christian type so it was EXTRA-SHOCKING!! Hehehehe.

I don't watch this show often, but when I do, its always entertaining. This weekend there was a show on about a guy who suspected that his boyfriend was cheating on him (he was cheating with his manager). At the confrontation, the boyfriend was dressed in drag, red boa and all, and when cheatee snatched cheater's wig off, they start wrestling on the ground. Then cheater starts running down the street, high heels and all, and it was the best episode ever. The people watching the fight, trying to get on camera was even better.
I missed the beginning, but at the end, the guy who was cheated on talked about working things out with his "wife", who I originally thought was the drag queen. But the drag queen talked about how they weren't meant to be together. So, I'm wondering if the first guy left his wife for the drag queen.
The recap episode was about a guy who brought his son on dates with the woman he was cheating with. That's the lowest of the low. He was living with the boy's mother and would bring the girlfriend over to the house. I wanted both of them to kick his ass. I hate I missed the actual show. The one doing the recap was the girl he was cheating with, so I don't know if the guy got back with the baby's mother.

I think they reaired it a few weeks ago on a saturday night. What was funny was last week during the opening of the show, Joey came out and said very monotonely and unethusiastically: "Welcome to Cheaters, but first, thanks to all those concerned for my health and safety. Now, on to the case..."
BWAH! Is this man a robot or what?

That was really freakin funny. Notice that the cheating drag queen was not the least bit concerned about the confrontation until the wig came off. Only then did the claws come out!
BWAH! Is this man a robot or what?
Oh, come now. Joey isn't a robot. He's UBER-sensitive...especially if you're a semi-attractive woman under the age of 30 who just found out your boyfriend/husband is sleeping around. Joey is especially sensitive and caring under such conditions. And by "sensitive and caring," I actually mean "smarmy and weasle-like."

One of my favorite things is the hidden camera blur-outs where you can still see the couple's feet; this usually gives away what act they are engaging in . . .

Yes, the new season has started. Unfortunately, they've being pulling a Judge Judy and mixing new cases with old cases.
Anyway, did anyone see the depressed/sexually inept white dude who was cheating on his wife with a black dominatrix? OMG, the dominatrix looked like a transsexual. The wife caught the husband in the act....he was being beaten by his dominatrix in a hotel room!!

I've seen that one a few times and it is a transsexual dominatrix. I hate when they do that thing where they try to capture an image of the suspects and they keep enlarging it and it sounds like a camera clicking. I can never tell what the hell the person looks like because it's so blurred. There's no point in doing that.

Wow, just found this thread! Love, love, love Cheaters, even when the scenerio is an obvious fake. Anyways, I work at a suburban Dallas police department (shall remain unnamed) and we have gotten called to a many Cheaters disturbances. It is funny because the responding officer (always blurred out) knowing he is going to be on TV will puff out his chest and tries to look super in control. We all make it a point to try to find the particular episode and watch him. Those calls are always fun.
Here in Dallas episodes are airing weekdays too! Right after Elimidate!

ever heard of a VCR? I would contact your local affiliate and complain (not like it would do any good but still). They may have gotten some complaints and moved it to another time period or were just trying to find the right timeslot for it in order to get the best ratings.

I didn't know that some of the shows are fake :( In the earlier episodes, they would go into a club or something with a sign syaing they were Cheaters television show and everyone would be screaming cheaters. In one, I guess they told the club because you could hear the dj announcing that Cheaters was there.

carajean What scenarios are fake?
I don't know for sure if any or fake, it just seems like some people are faking a la Jerry Springer just to be on TV. Some obvious ones are when people are "crying" but there are no actual tears or some are just too outragous to be real. I could be wrong though.
As for when the police are called to a Cheaters related disturbance (usually at an apartment complex or bar), we usually just break up the group and tell them to leave. Our department has never arrested anyone, but that would be awesome and I would have to be lame and go talk to them. Imagine, Joey, in my jail! Swoon!

Bwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahha. Oh my god, that guy must be the trashiest of white trash. Who the hell mentions their favorite TV shows at their funeral (err...has it mentioned, since they're dead and can't mention it), especially if it's trash like Cheaters?
In one, I guess they told the club because you could hear the dj announcing that Cheaters was there.
Haha, I just saw that one the other night. Way to give it away there, "uh oh, Cheaters is in the house!" Then the crowd goes wild and convenes in the little corner of the club where the cheating is taking place. I think the best part was when the girl who was being cheated on complained that he was cheating with a fat girl, "after I spent all that time trying to look like this!!!" Because it would be totally OK if the guy was cheating with a skinny chick.
PS: I miss Tommy Grand! "Is that what makes you a man? Are you just gonna walk away?"

I liked the poor cable guy who came on first. When he arrived with the Cheaters team, his women and HER man were going at it on the floor!! The guy who got caught was standing there, with a pillow covering fore and aft, wearing one poor, lone tube sock. I could have done without the extra footage of the half empty baby oil bottle on the floor....
However, Comedy Gold was in the house when after the cheater gal stomped in and out a few times (he's just the plumber!! it's not what it looks like!), and only THEN does she stop, in full view of the cameras, to put her undies back on. While wearing a skirt.
No. More. Words.
