18 years old Josh looks gooood. I know, no surprise. But heh, he didn't have the ceasar cut yet. Thanks for bringing them over, kat. I had wondered more than once if pics from that tv series do exist somewhere.

Thank you so much for sharing the JJ-Tim Busfield pictures. I've never heard of the show, "Champs," but I appreciate seeing pictures with two actors I've admired greatly. I was a big fan of "thirtysomething" (way back when I was twenty-something), and if this sort of forum had existed then for that show, I wouldn't have gotten anything accomplished, I'm afraid. Who knew that Timothy Busfield had a fan site? I liked that "Byrds of Paradise" show - what other show had Arlo Guthrie playing a character, and Hawaii as a backdrop (did I mention Seth Green?).

It was a very short lived show, only eight episodes (with six airing) and Josh appearing in only two of the eight filmed. I posted this in Josh's "Filmography" awhile back:

Awesome, Mandy! And as a lover of S4 crewcut Pacey, this newly-shorn JJ really has my heart aflutter. He looks very tan, very relaxed, and that 'do reminds me a little bit of The Clooney. And good for JJ -- he's always on hand at charity events, on his own terms, and probably, much more genuinely.

What a way to start a Sunday.
Ok he is a great actor and I want him to become someone out of his talent.
But... let's be honest one hit movie and with his looks and personality he will have cover after cover.

Has anyone seen Must Love Dogs? John Cusack is in delightful Lloyd Dobler form and I got a heavy Pacey vibe from the scene in which he's sanding the boat, as well as from the girl-chases-boy-as-he-sets-to-sail-off ending.

Mandy, the photos were a fabulous treat! I do believe he looks better than I have seen him look in a long time, well rested, tanned and very handsome. I had a JJ marathon last night. Getting ready for the teachers to come back to school this week, I was cutting and printing and the hubby announced that he wanted to see The Skulls because of William L. Peterson and who I am to argue with a JJ movie!

I forgot how much I enjoyed that movie. The realtionship he has with Leslie Bibb's character and his former town friends showed how down to earth his character was. We both really enjoyed it. Then when the hubby went to bed I keep cutting out and watched Season 3 I loved the look Pacey wore in episode 6 Secrets and Lies. The understated way that Josh played Pacey's hurt and the eventual realization that he and Andie didn't belong together was so brilliant. I almost teared up and I knew he was going to fall for Joey in a few more episodes, but he made me believe what I saw with my eyes and not what I knew with my head.

Then to see the photos this morning, great way to end a weekend. I am impressed with the fact that when he is at an event he doesn't look for the spotlight. Refreshing to see that.

JJ is looking fine- but the shoes are a horror!

I didn't know he was in contact with his other siblings. I haven't heard him mention them, just his younger sister.

The shoes are a bit odd. I wanted him to wear a belt but I am a mom and we think of those comments as we see our sons getting ready to go out. He does clean up nicely.

His eyes really stand out in those shots.

Fantastic pics! Gosh. Blue suits him. As for his bros: He did an interview years ago in which the reporter wrote he caught him after an ice hockey game and Josh said he was in town for his bro's birthday. And yes, Scarlet, I read, too, that those 2 live in NYC. As for the age gaps: One bro is 42 and the other is 36.

P.S.: When I read Lyman I thought, too, "His brother?". Hee. But I guess that happens with what is - in my non- english native opinion - an unusual name.

That is a big age gap between the two sets of kids. Lyman is a very unusual name. I am not sure I have heard it as a first name before. I like Josh better!

FYI, Josh's two older siblings are step-brothers, not half-brothers (at least, I'm 99% sure of this).

Did Josh say that in an interview? Cos until you mentioned it here I always read on boards and some sites they're half-brothers*. Weird.


*Though in reality it shouldn't matter. In my family noone makes a difference betwee half- and full- siblings or adopted ones. Family is family. That's probably also why I'm always annoyed when reporters don't write about celebs and children, but celebs and their adopted children, i.e. Angelina and Maddox for example. He is now almost 4 and the adoption took place a few years ago already. But maybe that's just me.

And yes, I'm still curious about Josh and his bros. What can I say, I'm conflicted ;)

You mean with his dad I assume? No idea. And that is where it gets to the halfs or steps: If they're the sons of his dad's 2nd wife I'd say no.


BTW, in some articles I linked on page 230, is his sister's name mentioned with (seemingly) no interfering by Josh while he refused to mention his father's name. But in that US (?) article from 1998 where his sister is on set - when S2 shooting started and she had still summer break - is asked the reporter not to write her name. While the latter is good for 1) she wasn't and isn't in the spotlight, except for an one-time extra as a kid, and 2) she was a minor, how come that changed? I'm sure that wasn't only one article back when he was a teen that mentioned her name. Weird?

I never thought about the boys being step mom's sons from a prior marriage. I just didn't think that he saw Dad once he left them. I guess that is why I thought they came from Dad's first marriage.

That was my logic, too, cp. Well, beside what I had read that is. I just can't see why Josh's dad who - by Josh's own words - just left after the divorce and to whom Josh only talked a few times to over the years - who therefore seems a bit egoistic - should come back and introduce his new family to his old one. Like I said, weird. But maybe someone finds an interview or article which sheds some light on it.

Okay just wanted to post pretty pictures so we can keep the pretty at the top instead of whatever the hell the other thread is.

But whose to say that's how it played out? By what I believe, both his older stepbrothers would've already been grown by the time Josh's dad married their Mom (they're 9 and 15 years older than Josh, respectively, and his parents divorced when he was 8). Perhaps, years later, Josh became acquainted with them on one of his many trips to NYC and a relationship developed from there.

I don't know for certain, but I thought I had read Josh refer to them as stepbrothers somewhere along the line. I know I never heard or read anything other than they were from his dad's second marriage, and given they're older status, the presumption that they're related through the marriage is the one that seems most likely to me.

I like the idea that he met up with them as he was an adult. Honestly that sounds, like the kind of thing he would do. Family is clearly important to him. I can see him wanting to meet any brothers, step, half or not that he had.

But in that case he somehow must have gotten the message what their first names and last one are and where they are/ live/ work. And if his father is this egoistic guy would he have asked him or would his dad told him just cause? Or did Josh just went to every studio/ production company in NYC and asked for a cameraman named J/ L - depending on who of those 2 is it and which one works in advertising?

LTO, I think you're making this way more complicated than it is. I'm not saying that Josh didn't know *anything* about his stepbrothers growing up -- I don't think that's a logical assumption. And, honestly, all we know, via Josh, is that the relationship with his father was volatile. We don't know that there was absolutely zero communication (meaning, he may have known where his dad was living, his stepbrothers names, etc). All I'm saying is that, perhaps, he fostered a relationship with his stepbrothers after he got older, that's all.

Well, I am known for that.
