Yeah, Joey, having your date cancelled sure is right up there on the list of things that suck, just below getting your face sliced off. Sheesh, Michelle, have a heart here! Not that!

I saw the episode where Joey takes Michelle and friends to a bar for their science field trip. He wanted to see the Super Bowl, so he let them wander around the bar, which led to their destroying of an entire entertainment system, which led to the people in the bar to not be able to watch the game.
That's kind of rude. And irresponsible. In real life, I don't think the bar patrons would be all politely bemused and that they'd amicably agree to go watch the game at some random house. They'd probably kick you the hell out, after charging you a hefty fine for breaking the whole freaking TV system.
Also, how inconsiderate can you get, not letting your niece hold a proper meeting with the woman deciding whether or not she's getting a scholarship to college because you have to watch the Super Bowl, which is being taped anyway? Of course, everything worked out peachy in the end and DJ got the scholarship, but still.
In conclusion, I hate Joey.

I've never heard of a REAL scholarship interview (or college interview, as often happens in other shows) being conducted at the home of the applicant. They usually take place at the school or the sponsoring organization's office.

Yes, but then you would have a plot that actually makes logistical sense. And for Full House, that just won't do.

D.J. and Steve making out in the front seat of a cement mixer, then kicking it into gear, not even realizing it, and having wet cement pour its way into your house via the smashed window? Yep, belief hath been stretchèd.

You know, I've been watching the earlier episodes lately and I noticed that DJ was well on her way to becoming a spectacular bitch. I wonder what made them decide she should be so goody-goody. She would have been a lot cooler the other way.

I may be able to answer that. They talk about Kirk Cameron in Growing Pains thread. In 1989, the whole Cameron family became religious Christians. In one ep, DJ gets in trouble because she takes a beer from a guy calling it stupid and Uncle Jesse thinks it's hers. (She is cleared by the end.) At 1st, the script said DJ should drink some, but CC said no way. On Gp, Kirk changed his character, became holier than thou, some writers quit, and he made people mad. This is just speculation, but maybe Candace made DJ a goody goody since she was so religious. Of course, later she played a bad witch on Boy Meets world, and cussed in a movie, so I don't know.
Tonight Uncle Jessee didn't know anything about basketball, or who Kareem Abdul-Jammar was. But in season 1, when Kirk C came, he watched the Lakers game with everyone and knew the players (and Kareem was playing.) Joey had taped game, and knew what was going to happen, and made predictions and bets with Jess. So he knew about bball then.
At 9, Becky could not sing at all. But in earlier seasons, she could. Continuity, whats's that ?
Edited cause Cameron doesn't have a M at the end.

The episode with the cement mixer required the suspension of so many beliefs. Come on... DJ and Steve didn't hear the cement mixer turning, crashing into the house, or pouring cement into the house? And Jesse's (?) first reaction to cleaning up the mess was trying to fill drawers full of cement? Who wrote this episode, a monkey?

That poor kitchen window never had a chance. First Stephanie drove the car through it and then it got the cement mixer.
I think the wheels came off the bus on realism with the 9 people living in the house with space for a basement, 2 floors, an attic apartment (with 4 rooms!) and a huge backyard with enough space for an elephant, a boat and a car.

A Valentine's Day episode was on tonight. On it, Michelle was in third grade and had a dance at school within her class and during school hours. WTF? Is this bizarre to anyone else?
Anyone remember Mrs. Carruthers, the woman who had a massive crush on Joey? She was always trying to stick her tongue down his throat. Ew, why would anyone want to do that?
I remember the episode where Joey substitute taught Michelle's class and she and her friends were horrible to him, demanding that he be funny instead of teaching the lessons that the teacher left to cover. I wanted to smack Michelle in that one. I remember Joey did the trick where he sucked the egg into the bottle at the end. I should try that when I sub sometime.
I was listening a little closer to the theme song. Some of the lyrics are just bizarre. "Everywhere you look... there's a heart, a hand to hold on to." Severed body parts lying around? Gross!

I vaguely remember this episode, but it wasn't so bizarre. I had these little crappy "dances" during class in elementary school - it's just that we didn't call them "dances". Someone put on music, people were expected to dance, yet nobody ever did.

That would be because the woman who played Mrs. Caruthers is the same person who did/does the voice of Mrs. Krapabel--Marcia Wallace (who was also on Bob Newhart's first sitcom)!

Gosh, I hope not because I really enjoy watching the little bitches bomb after being so nasty to Uncle Jesse and thinking "We don't need practice -- we're perfect." OK, I guess I hate Stephanie a little bit more than one should hate a character, but she was such a bitch in that episode.
RE: Fan fic stuff -- Someone sent me a link to a site because of my love of "Full House", "Saved by the Bell" and other cheese and it turned out to be really nasty stuff -- Joey
comes home and rapes all three girls -- at different times -- don't know why they couldn't all just gang up on him and beat him to death. Another one involved poor Kelly Kapowski from SBTB and I just stopped reading when I figured it out. This was not what I had in mind when I told the friend I enjoyed fan fic and slash stories and I let her know this was just disturbing.

They needed a keyboard player and Kimmy was the only one Uncle Jesse knew (and by that I mean she's probably the only one he knew willing to play in Girl Talk).

Oh, I know. Why was she so awful and mean? Was it because Jesse made them practice instead of "taking five" to go to the mall and work on their "look?" He would probably know a little more about that stuff than her since he is in a band. And when she got all mouthy, the audience did the patented "Oooooooh."

I have to respectfully disagree with that. I actually think she suffered seriously from what I like to politely call an ''awkward stage." Hey, it happens to the best of us. That said, their version of "The Sign" was way too cheesy - I haven't seen this ep. in awhile, and to me it just sounded like folk music, lol. Kimmy's keyboard rhythms and their awful chicken voices cracked me up!
