Two awful episodes today. The one where Michelle thinks Steve is going to marry her (what a stupid kid. I'm sorry, but why is she so mentally deficient? A six-year-old should know that their sister's boyfriend isn't going to marry her.) and the one where they find the parrot and Michelle is given the final choice in choosing their reward. I'm sorry, but you have to be a special breed of shitty parent to allow your (stupid) eight-year-old make a major household decision, and not even exercise your power of veto when she fucks it up. GOD. I think I hate Danny more than Michelle - it's not Michelle's fault she's a spoiled brat; she was never parented.

Oh god. That stupid fucking Valentine's episode where Steve lets Michelle have a cookie and naturally, Michelle thinks Steve's in love with her. I hate, hate, hate, the way Michelle says "married." It came out "maaaaaweeeeed." But Steve, I thought we were getting maaaaaweeeeed! Please die, Michelle. Also, the adults, as per usual, had to tiptoe around Michelle's feelings and kowtow to her, instead of just letting it go with a firm and simple "It was a game, it's not for real."

Michelle has a really good line in the "Little Sid" episode, actually, one of the few moments I like her. Stephanie and DJ are pestering her over which appliance to choose, so she puts her hads over her ears and yells for Danny. The girls have quieted by the time he gets there, so when he shows up, it's just Michelle covering her ears in silence, and she hollers, "Daddy, make the voices stop!" One of the only (intentionally) funny moments I can recall from the show.

And besides the fact that they'd already done this much better- well, better on the Full House scale of good, of course- when Stephanie 'married' her little friend (OMG I am blanking on his name- Henry? Harry?), because she wanted someone to pay attention to her, and then he left and went home for dinner.

I'm always shocked by the Harry love around here. While he had some funny lines, he was a terrible actor, always breaking face during scenes and not having any comedic timing whatsoever.
I never cared for much of the kids' friends, though, aside from Aaron (Kimmy not included because she's a main character).
Then again, I'd take little Harry over Michelle any freaking day.

Wow- I hadn't heard that before now, but sure enough, Google being my friend and all, I got to read all about it. It's sad that in the year 2006 (well, the years before, but you know what I mean) that it's still possible for the parent to take all of a child actor's money. Miko Hughes, Angela Watson from "Step By Step"- what's going on with all of the laws and such that were put in place since Coogan?
Back to FH: deity help me, but I liked Michelle's older years friends- Jurnee, the blond boy (Derek?), and the obviously theatre trained little girl whose name I forgot. It was always interesting to watch the Olsens not-act on screen with kids who could actually act.

Another one of Michelle's friends that I always wanted to punch in the face. Mostly because by being on the screen, it also meant Michelle was on too, but most real kids don't act like that. I know that this is completely off-topic, but I need to express this. You guys here on TWoP are the greatest posters on any forum on the internet; anywhere. I just had a very harrowing, very taxing, extremely horrible experience at collegeconfidential.com on a thread there (I was trolled [something which I just learned of today for the first time], and I took the bait), the result of which was a wasted day and a half of defending myself against a few unsavory characters' posts, and my stomach was literally in cramps because of the ordeal (I am much too thin-skinned I think). Wow. I remember when FH was brand new. I was freshly married Yuppie. I saw the first or second episode, and dismissed it as something so silly, that it would never last. The LAST thing on my mind is that years later my own sweet children would see it in reruns and it would haunt me to this day. They love it. Thanks McKay. And yes, I really do wish that Warner Brothers (I don't know how they got the rights to release it, but they did) would at least TRY to assemble the main cast for interviews/episode commentaries. But then again, they know that I would buy the season compilations anyway, like a moth to the flame.
Speaking of poor episode choices by the networks, the channel guide for ABC Family, I see that they've decided to play the "Michelle rides her bootleg racing cart that she had only a nominal part in constructing and wins when she ought not to have" and "Michelle pisses off her two best friends and has to resort to drawing Comet as her best friend for a school project" episodes. I think that some deviously evil pranksters have long since gotten a hold of the programming of ABC Family and are playing a horrible joke on all of us.

Not only that, but she spent the entire evening on poor Stephanie's feet. That's gotta hurt! And Michelle certainly wasn't a big child, but still. You know, that race episode is a horrible one, but there are a few scenes that upset me for a different reason. When the adults were all together, they had a pretty fun chemistry. Watching Danny, Jesse, and Becky actually joke around a bit (aside from Michelle's "I just peed my pants" face as she can't figure out a joke) and then Danny and Jesse picking on Joey, it makes me really sad that the adults were put aside in the final few seasons.
Oh, and that racing episode really irritates me at the beginning when Michelle and Denise are jumping over a hose with no water coming from it and wondering why it's not freaking fun. Who does that, seriously? And then Becky tells them that lunch is ready and Denise acts like she's just won the fucking lottery.

I'm watching the episode where some business tycoon (Bonds...Lou Bonds) wants to buy the house. Michelle is especially annoying in this episode because she shows the family that they were being Selfish and Materialistic. Good thing they have Good Citizen Michelle to point out all their errrors. But Stephanie got in a good line: "(In my new bedroom, I'm going to put the bed over here, the dresser over there,) and Michelle down the hall." BWAH! Michelle playing a video game until all the adults came in & took over
I enjoyed this episode--someone mentioned earlier that when the adults interact without the kids, the scenes can be pretty decent. I could not hate Michelle more though then when she pulled the plug on the game. Even if the adults were unnaturally obsessed, she was out of line. It was even more ridiculous when they all thanked her for doing it.
