the one where DJ is supposed to be babysitting Steph and Michelle and sneaks them into the movies where Kimmy is working as a ticket-ripper. She leaves the young'uns at a kiddie movie and heads out to make time with a cute boy.
Well, that description isn't quite accurate. It sounds like DJ dumped them at the theater and took off. Actually, she and Steve were going to the movies for their date anyway, so she brought Steph and Michelle with them. They went to the kiddie movie because obnoxious Stephanie insisted that it wasn't appropriate for them to see something (gasp!) rated PG. All four of them were in the same theater until Kimmy's manager busted them.

Just found out that Season 3 is being released on

On another note, I watched the unaired pilot with John Posey, and yeah... As much as Bob Saget is a "geeky giant", I have to admit he's much more convincing as Danny Tanner.

I really wish he had quit the standup circuit after that. Seriously, man was
not funny. I always feel like that episode cruelly dangles hope in front of us and yanks it away with a Nelson Muntz laugh.

I've seen mentions in this thread of Steph and DJ's bedroom looking different in the pilot episode - an extra window that later disappeared. Where was it? 'Cause their room always had a largish window on the wall at a 45 degree angle between their two beds, right?

Right. There was an episode where they got into a fight and started throwing each other's stuff out that window. And there were scenes of them looking out that window in other episodes. Like when Stephanie was scared of the Wolfman (or whatever that horror movie character's name was) and kept looking out the window to see if Wolfman was coming to get them.
Speaking of D.J. and Stephanie's room, I finally saw that picture of Danny behind D.J.'s bed that some of you have talked about. It looked like a promo type picture he'd have through his morning show. Creepy, creepy, creepy.

Yeah, you're right. If I can remember correctly (and I should, as I watched the episode two days ago!) that little bay window wasn't there in the pilot. I think I remember it being flat all along the wall. Also, a there was a second window extending a lot closer to Stephanie's bed. The room definately had wonky walls. I'll try to take a screenshot of it for you and post it sometime this week!

The worst episode ever was on Nick at Nite last night, it being the one where Joey plays in that hockey game and Michelle causes a universe of viewers to throw up in unison. First, Michelle talks like a baby and exhibits fears that are unbelievable for a six year old due to their presentation, and then uses these fears to make Joey not play his best. I think the dinner scene says it all because Michelle is sitting at the head of the table, as opposed to Danny, who should actually be sitting there. I shouldn't be watching these episodes because I'll never be able to stop the headaches that show up as a result.

Today Michelle convinced Teddy to sneak along on her father's date with Vicky. They barge into a fancy restaurant, grab handfuls of cake from the dessert cart, and when discovered, does she get in trouble? Of course not. She pouts, says "I am I in big twubbuh?" and Danny APOLOGIZES TO HER for not being around more. And then Vicky suggest they make it a "double date" and gives them more cake. And says she hopes she can double date with them again, says it was "fun" and tells the viewers what a great dad he is.
ARGH!
Edit: and now the bike episode. Dear god. First of all, the gross Danny/Vicky makeout subplot (I'd forgotten how good the actress who played Vicky was, though) is painful. Secondly, "I'll never trust you again?" What four-year-old talks like that? Third, bribing her with a video to get her on the bike again? That's just gross. And why was it so important that she try again immediately? Maybe she wasn't ready. I know you're supposed to get back on once you fall off, but it's hardly the end of the world if she doesn't want to ride again right away.
And what was with the wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads, shin guards and goggles she wore? I'm not much older than Michelle and I had a bike helmet. That was it. I did have some of the padding for Rollerblading (for all the good it did me - I usually landed on my backside), but never shin guards or goggles.

Augh, that "double date" episode makes my blood boil! Stupid, stupid Michelle!
I just finished watching "The Seven Month Itch", parts one and two, from Season 1.
As noble it was of them to actually delve into that territory; that is, making a 24 year old man question his choice of living with his brother-in-law, three nieces, and a closet pedophile; it was all cancelled out with Jesse's unconvincing decision to return because he just loved those girls sooo much.
Also, how believable is it that a grown man is pulled away from a fun-filled ski trip with his best pals and beautiful girlfriend, who he never has enough private time with anyway, by the news that his niece is sick? If that were me, I'd be all, "Screw Michelle! Joey can give her the damn medicine!"
And, why didn't Danny lay the smackdown on the girls for resorting to such a lie to bring Jesse back? I mean, it's as if it was fully excused because they missed their dear old uncle. All it teaches kids is that it's fine to disrespect someone's life decision as long as it affects you in a negative way, and also, it's completely fine to lie about a pretty serious thing to get your own way. Sigh!
Then again, why am I complaining so much? This show wouldn't be worth watching if Jesse did leave, heh.

Next scene is Stephanie sitting in front of the manager, clearly spelling out "G-I-B-B-L-E-R. Gibbler."
I caught this episode today about 2 minutes before this scene, and I was so excited because I had forgotten about this episode until it was mentioned here and really wanted to see it again. Stephanie spelling out Gibbler's name is hilarious -- what a great character she was. Only thing that ruined it was Michelle (of course) saying "Duhhhh" like she does, then following it up with, "Oh, can I take back that 'Duhhh?'" in that same annoying tone.

Today's ep was the one where Danny's sister visits and brings her chimpanzee with her. Said sister proceeds to hook up with Joey. An incredibly stupid episode, in my opinion, but Darlene Vogel, who played the sister, was terrific. She had a lot of charisma and was very funny. Shame they didn't use her more.

Aw, the chimp episode!
I don't get Full House on TV at all, so so far all I've had to remind me of those blissful FH years are the Seasons 1 and 2 DVDs. I miss seeing some of the later ones!
Last night I watched the Howie episode and remembered reading on here that Howie was played by a girl actor. Anyone have any clue as to why they would do that?
Speaking of the chimp episode, something just popped into my mind: whatever happened to Bubba the Turtle? (He was the turtle that saved Uncle Jesse's life by preventing him from riding his bike into an intersection where he could've been hit by an oncoming speeding car or something to that effect. Uncle Jesse was so touched he brought the poor animal home in his backpack. For the rest of the episode, poor Bubba was harassed as the girls carried him to and fro around the house and Michelle even took a ride on his back.)
Anyway, they sent Bubba cruising into the kitchen on a skateboard at the end of that episode and they never showed him again. Or did they?

It's not that I believe the Enquirer or Globe, but I've seen it on more than one site and too many people have written in with details--either people who were supposedly at college with her or supposedly knew someone in rehab with her.
It's also on Perez Hilton at www.perezhilton.com. Considering John Stamos supposedly gave a quote supporting Jodie, looks like it might be true.

I don't remember this episode (at what point in the series was this?), but I don't think I would ever let a kid who's not allowed to cross the street on her own walk a dog by herself, especially given Michelle's track record with animals (losing birds, killing fish, stealing dogs). I'm also surprised Michelle wouldn't cross the street without permission, but she managed to follow Danny to a restaurant. Go figure.

I know there are actually plenty. But it seems child stars go only one of three ways.
1) Drug problem/rehab--too many to name
2) Find religion and become Born Again--Kirk and Candace Cameron, Lisa Whelchel, etc.
3) Druggie who later turns to religion
There are plenty of well adjusted child stars out there, but somehow I thought Stephanie Judith Tanner was above it all. Has she been spending too much time with Gia again?

Oh yeah, and doesn't Nelson the Rich Geek help the girls look for Comet? IIRC, it was all Uncle Jesse's fault. It was his turn to walk Comet, but he didn't do it, so Michelle - who isn't allowed outside alone - took the liberty of doing it, and Comet takes off.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
No, what makes us buy it is that we're all addicted to this show. It's like listening to Pink Floyd over and over and over again....you just can't stop. Except this show's seat as Sovereign of the Reruns is based upon pure corniness, yelling at the Olsens on screen, and nostalgia. Although I have posted here several times; I shall say it again; the producers of these dvd sets REALLY ought to include some REAL extras...like maybe interviews of the cast members, or cast members at least commenting on particular episodes like in the Family Guy dvd's (What a novel idea!).
And I really can't believe that Jodie Sweetin subjugated herself to that sort of thing. I'm glad that it seems that she's o.k. now (this is, of course, assuming that the stories are in fact valid).

I did the same thing, especially in summertime, with all the kids in my neighbourhood. We'd come running into my house so I could show them new toys or whatever it is kids do, and vice versa at their house. I did not, however, serve anyone "cheese donuts" and proclaim I knew how to cook! However, that's a forgivable moment on the show only because Stephanie, not Michelle, did it. And Harry Takiyama was involved!

I was watching the episode where cousin Steve (aka Kirk Cameron) comes to visit. All he wants to do is watch sports or play sports, and the guys - including Jesse - are into it. Jesse shoots hoops with them, watches basketball with them, and even spouts off a few statistics. But years later, in the episode where D.J. asks Jesse to participate in a charity basketball tournament, Jesse is too embarassed to say yes, because he's clueless about basketball and sports in general. In fact, in the scenes with Kareem Abdul Jabar on the court, Jesse acts like he's never even held a basketball before. I've always laughed that inconsistency.
