Hee, I saw it a looooong time ago. Wasn't it something about blowing guys for coke? Ew.

I don't know if I could enjoy Bob Saget being raunchy. It would just be too wrong.
Sincerity

I don't think anyone can really handle Bob Saget being raunchy...I know that it makes me want to throw up a little.
sunny605
Maybe he was funny in other movies, but I absolutely hated him on "America's Funniest Videos." That show was on a downward spiral from its inception...and I think he was a big reason why.

Topic: I can't get into the later seasons as much. I can't wait till they roll around back to the older episodes.
ChinkyGirl
Bob Saget was also in this other sitcom called "Raising Dad" - I think it was on FOX Family, but I only remember tuning into just one episode (it followed one of the new Olsen twins shows - not "Two of a Kind", but some other lame one where their parents are divorced and they live on the beach).

Aw c'mon! No love whatsover for the original "America's Funniest Home Video"?! I'll admit that it went through some major decline after a few seasons, but when it first started up, me and my parents would watch it religiously!

What was declining since inception was the Dave Coulier/Arlene Sorkin show, "America's Funniest People". The fact that it aired right after AFHV made it even more redundant and unfunny. Or maybe it all had to do with Dave Coulier hosting it.
RainIsBeautiful
The other Olsen show was "So Little Time", and I'm embarassed to say, I have seen every episode. Several times. (FWIW, "Two of a Kind" was a better show.)

*runs away, embarassed*

(FWIW, "Two of a Kind" was a better show.)

Two of a Kind was awesome. But I may be the only person in America that actaully thinks the Olsen twins are adorable girls and am a fan of thiers.

(Note: I mean aside from guys and old men with twin fascinations that is. I just like them, dont want to sleep with them or anything like that.)
Nflux Forever
You know I remember seeing a few episodes of Raising Dad and I can honestly say that Bob Sagat wasn't too bad on that show. Maybe it had to do with RD's nature not being as cavity inducing as Full House.
bella1013
We get Raising Dad over here, every saturday. Not because it's that good of a show or anything, but because the programmers didn't know where to stuff it.

Oh yeah, we get FH reruns twice a day now. Maybe i'm jaded or something, but i can't believe i used to sit through this cheesefest in elementary school.

Okay, you're right, ChinkyGirl, the first few seasons were okay (and actually funny). Then Bob's jokes started to get worse and the videos started to become fake and un-funny. That began the downward spiral. I stand corrected. Also, you are right about AFP...terrible! (Except for the jackalope)
ChinkyGirl
Is that where the jackalope originated? Huh. Now that you mention it, I remember seeing a segment about it on that crummy show (yes, my family watched AFP too, and I want those precious hours of my childhood back).

The only thing that sorta bugged me about AFHV after awhile is BS's cheesy narration of each video! Was that absolutely nessecary? Still, I'd take BS anyday over that tool that hosts it now, lol.
Charlotte

I thought Dave Coulier hosted that show with Tawny Kitaen, that skank from the Whitesnake videos in the 80s. Was she replaced or something?
TheCustomOfLife
I believe Tawny replaced Arleen. Yeah, Arleen did it for the first two seasons with Dave, then Tawny for the final two.
sallyiscool
Raising Dad was on the WB Friday nights 2001-2002.
Did anyone see the Boy Meets World when Candace Cameron played a witch ?? Creepy. So unlike her, a Christian in real life.
Once BS did some raunchy stuff on the Daily show, and Craig Kilborn was like OO.. Ok and didnt really like it so ended the segment.
Leelee51
I saw Bob do stand up about 4 years ago. He was freakin hysterical! He ragged on Full House. He said he would have liked to yell at the little ones, "Hey Michelle, f*ck off!" Hee.
RainIsBeautiful
I remember reading an article a long, long time ago, where the older girls stated that they learned how to cuss from Bob. Hee.

One of tonight's episodes on ABC Family was the one where Viper was introduced. Danny = Mildew? That's just gross.

*raises hand proudly*
I think the Olsen twins are awesome. They have a freakin' empire! At 17! And, seriously, I think they have some pretty damn good fashion sense. I always like their stuff. I wish they made clothes in a juniors line.

"Men-nuh-hewnies! Men-nuh-hewnies! I DO believe! I DO believe!"

Watching this show on Nick at Nite just reminds me how much and why I loved it.

My favorite episode is where Scott Baio guest stars as Jesse's wild rocker friend and they sing "Shout" like a bad prom band while the whole cast dances. Then when they show a video of Jesse in his "Dr. Dare" phase (riding a motorcycle on the ledge of a roof), they razz him and he gets pissed and goes to do it again. They all follow him and Joey is running around in a white sweater and white jeans with this pack of bikers and Becky, who got back from a Wake Up San Francisco makeover and was wearing a trashy Italian miniskirt. Good lord, this was a great show.

Lanny, the bald red-head drummer, was my favorite Ripper.
Miss Granger

God. That show was on for FOUR seasons? Wow.
Mine All Mine
I'm really enjoying the Nick at Nite and ABC Family reruns. Sometimes you need a little cheese in your day.

I saw the one with Greg Brady the other day. Barry and the Rippers? I can only assume that Barry did not take over Jesse's position as lead singer.
Havoc Gypsy
The episode about Michelle's (gah...it seems like all those episodes were about Michelle those last couple of seasons) donkey purchased with her lemonade earnings was on ABC Family today. I kept thinking it's a shame this episode didn't happen a few years later. Steph could have used her computer wizardry to download the Three's Company theme on mp3 for Jesse and maybe he could've put it on loop and tucked it in with the sad Donkey. I think there was really something about Jesse's voice that the donkey found soothing, but it wouldn't have hurt to try.

Edited to say, "Hey, Derrick. You're swell, no matter what they say." That kid was just awesome. I loved how he just had to bust out some showtunes sometimes, and his snippy way of speaking.
healing fish
He said he would have liked to yell at the little ones, "Hey Michelle, f*ck off!"

Well, dude, that's just too easy.

I still can't get used to the idea of Bob Saget swearing. I don't know if I'm intrigued or disgusted by it.
Mangetical Anji
Actually, I don't think that's so hard to believe. Bob Saget seems like he has a lot of repressed anger. I think it's healthy for him to let it out.
Charlotte

I thought Derek was so annoying! What kind of kid actually talks like that? And is it possible for someone that young to be a closet case? 'Cause he set off my gaydar before I even knew what gaydar was.
kariyaki
The kid from Who's the Boss was like that too, even as a very young kid. Very, very gay.
Mine All Mine
I hate the way Derek talks. I know of one other person in the world who talks like that, and it's no kid - it's my pretentious boss. Although I'm sure Derek understands all the $10 words he's saying.
dawsnzchck
The way Denise talked always bugged me more than Derek ever did. It took her like a year to get a sentence out and every damn word was enunciated within an inch of its life.
Cheese Pleese
I don't know if I'm disturbed or pleased that the Full House thread is on the first page of this section of TWoP. WORD to the sentiment that the earlier episodes are better. They're showing it on Fox Classics here and I liked it better when the focus wasn't on Michelle.

I have a question that maybe some Aussie viewers or some FH aficionados can answer. I didn't even realise the show wrapped in 1995. I guess I grew out of watching FH a long time ago since I was in first year uni in '95. When did FH finish its run in Australia? I have to admit I hardly remember any of the episodes but I remember all the lines like 'How rude!', 'You got it, dude!', 'Have mercy', 'Cut. It. Out.' etc. I don't recall seeing the twins growing up that much though.
Prada
Did anyone ever see the Jamie Kennedy Experiment episode where BS helped to pull of one of the pranks? They had this guy that ran one of those Star House tours go with a bunch of people and they broke into BS's house, all the while letting the peole think the guy had permission to go into BS's house. When they went inside it was decorated with satanic parahanilia and everyone was FREAKING OUT. He even had a closet full of porn and everything. Then he came and confronted the people of the tour and he threatened to call the police. There was this one guy going "Äwww man, I thought you were cool. You're Bob Saget!" HI.LLARIOUS!
HappilyEvrAftr
if anyone has any transcripts or anything of bob saget's stand-up, please share. i need to read this to believe it.

we have to write an episode of a sitcom in my scriptwriting class, and i decided to use 'full house'. i'm planning it to be chock full of catchphrases.
sallyiscool
Did you see Bob Saget on Dumb and Dumberer ? There is Shit all over the bathroom. There is shit all over the walls. There is shit all over the sink.
(Thats not exact, but he used that word a Lot.)
Mine All Mine
I'm sorry to have to bring this up again:
Ew, Viper. He was the poor man's Joey Lawrence, if that is even possible. Tight jeans, sleeveless flannel shirts, curly mullet do, and he was stupid.
Yes, yes he is. The only thing I have to add to this is that his forehead is so big, it's a fivehead.

I'm also noticing that Michelle is snarking on Gia the exact same way Stephanie snarks on Kimmy. Fascinating. ;)
ChinkyGirl

Brilliant! Must find a reason to use this phrase...

Bring up Dawson Leery in conversation.

That unoriginal little cow.

That's funny. It was on yesterday on the same channel. Why would they air the same episode so soon?
sunny605
I think the 6 p.m. episodes the day before air the next day at noon.

I'm pondering why so many episodes ended with the family/friends and others dancing around...as in today's "Monkey Puppets" polka episode, several Smash Club episodes, etc etc. Pure cheese.
Mangetical Anji
I somehow caught Sugar and Spice on Sunday. It took me a minute to realize that the narrator is Gia. I squealed in glee. I love that girl, whatever her name is. I did look it up on IMDb.com, and I'm too lazy to go back now, but she hasn't really done much. I wish somebody would cast her in a good show. That, and I just think she's incredibly hot.

Is it wrong to have impure thoughts about a recurring character of Full House?
healing fish
Recurring characters are fine. It's the regulars you have to watch out for.
Mine All Mine
If it's wrong to have impure thoughts about Uncle Jesse, then I don't want to be right.
healing fish
OK, we'll make an exception for him.
Mangetical Anji
In that case...I want Gia to marry me. Quebec, here I come!

Just saw the episode where DJ and Kimmy go to the frat party. I hope no naive parent watched that and thought that's what frat parties are like. Only on Full House could someone be kicked out of a frat party for being too drunk or for bringing beer in. That last part actually made me laugh out loud much more than anything else that ever happened on the show.

Also, Dave Coulier really should have gotten some hair tips from John Stamos. Joey's hair makes me cringe.

And speaking of Gia, she's in the episode of 7th Heaven following the frat party episode of Full House on ABC Family.
Softcocoa77
Is the actress who plays Gia the one who played Lucy on 'the Practice'? Because I realized after seeing her on Full House the other night that they look the same--so I figure they are the same person. Thanks if you can answer my question:)

--Never mind, it is the same person. Her name is Marla Sokoloff looked it up on IMDb.com

Why yes, yes she is. Marla Sokoloff

Word. I remember college parties where you could be kicked out for not paying for the beer, or for spilling said beer on an expensive stereo set. But anyone who brought beer would receive a very warm welcome. I've never seen a fraternity as lame as the one on FH. Even the Tri-Lams smoked a joint once in a while.

Saw the Papouli episode last night. So sad. It made me cry a little, too.

Word, Yellowpager

I was tearing up at the Papouli episode too. Really it was just Stamos that got to me, he made it seem so real. I tried to make an exception for Mary Kate/Ashley's lack of acting skills, but I couldn't. They probably shouldn't have given such a heavy scene to the Michelle character, maybe Stephanie or even the twins- they probably could have done better. Usually Marashley are ok actresses but it just seemed too forced yesterday.
sunny605
Becky had on this horrible hoodie dress thing in an episode yesterday and had the same monstrosity on in an episode today! I don't normally notice clothing being recycled on TV...but this was too terrible to miss.
YourDensity
I hated the way they made Becky look in the later eppies. She was always wearing floral peasant dresses and had red (didn't look as good as the brown, light brown imho) hair... and they made her bangs YOOGE (tm Donald Trump) in the front.

I think she's gorgeous IRL and she looks great NOW.. and did look great circa wedding/pregnancy/they first met. But her fashion in the later eppies.. thought it sucked.
ducksrun
I caught the episode last night where Stephanie was teaching Joey ballet to help with his hockey. The sight of Joey in a hockey sweatshirt, tights, and ballet slippers was truly disturbing.
