Michelle wasn't an attractive baby, but she was cute. She was weirdly appealing in her monkey way.
That said, I've seen much, much cuter babies.
bodwod
oooh I think cute is a bit of a stretch. Nice natured maybe but they were as ugly as a hatful...
SynSerenity
I thought they finally got cute around 11... and then they ruined their look right after that.
candynecklace
I think "cute" is stretching it too. They looked like little troll babies.
Just my opinion, of course!
BondGirl
Worst Michelle moment--one of the later episodes, where Stephanie and a boy she has a crush on are rehearsing a scene from "Romeo and Juliet".

Having ALREADY and REPEATEDLY been told to leave them alone so they can rehearse, Michelle barges back into the room, interrupting them with nasty comments about Stephanie having "dry lips", "You really don't want to kiss her with those" "Yuck", then further embarrasses Stephanie by telling the guy about her crush.

After the boy leaves, Stephanie screams her head off at Michelle and storms out. Does Michelle even have the decency to look ashamed? No, she just snarks that "dry lips must make people cranky".

What a little BITCH.
Lizka
Seriously, Michelle would've been much better off if Danny, Jesse, and Joey actually punished her for once. Didn't they try to one episode, and they caved in once she started whining?
bodwod
There was an episode that dealt with the fact that she was never punished. Who could forget the "no fun, no fun... staring at the w-a-l-l" line - eesh!
McKay
Was that the one with the wet shoe?
HappilyEvrAftr
YES! She sets up a kiddie pool in the kitchen. God, such intense hate for that episode.
McKay
The worst part was Danny visibly and vocally struggling NOT to cave in, despite the fact that he'd just stepped in the fucking pool that she'd just set up in the kitchen despite having been told not to (I believe). Worst TV dad ever.
BondGirl
And who does he blame, despite seeing the whole set-up. DJ and Stephanie!
"Girls, there had better be a good explanation for this"
Unbelievable.
Lizka
And don't forget the completely heinous heard-through-the-door cry of "don't you love me anymore?"

Michelle played those fools like they were flutes.
HappilyEvrAftr
Ugh, I feel like I'm going to throw up or something.
TrininisaScorp
OMG, you guys! The anger I felt when the epi first aired is surging through my system all over again. I wanted to knock that little child out. And then I felt like the worst person ever (to be fair, I was, like, a kid myself).
McKay
The anger I felt when the epi first aired is surging through my system all over again.

Me too, dude. I try not to think about it.
...we're getting way too worked up over a TV show, aren't we?
bodwod
Worst TV dad ever.

Seriously, I think I'd vote for Al Bundy as Father of the Year before I'd vote for Danny Tanner!
Becka
Al was a better dad than Danny, IMO! It's a wonder DJ and especially Steph didn't murder the bitch in her sleep in a fit of rage one night!
BondGirl
That would have been a HELL of a VSE.
Heh.
KatieWagner
Worst TV dad ever.

Seriously, I think I'd vote for Al Bundy as Father of the Year before I'd vote for Danny Tanner!

LOL. Al Bundy?
GarfieldTheCat
Hmmm. Well, this might add to someones hatrid. (If this already hasnt been mentioned) Does any of you remember when DJ secrectly kept a horse for two weeks and when she found out she didnt have enough for stable fees, she brings it home. And when Danny finds out, he punishes her? I'm thinking 'How come she gets punished for bringing a horse in the house, but Michelle doesnt when she brings that doneky home?'

P.S. Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson would maje better dads than Danny and Peter and Homer have the IQ's of a piece of lint
McKay
Because Michelle was his little pwincess. *barf* Remember the fucking wet shoe. I think Danny secretly hated DJ. I mean, his nickname for her as a baby was "(his) little tennis ball head."
Homer Simpson was a fairly concerned dad in the first season, IIRC.
GarfieldTheCat
tennis ball head? For real? I really like the seasons where Michelle was a baby and a toddler. She was so cute, IMO. But as she grows up she turns into a manuplative little brat who gets her way. They didnt move because Michelle didnt. I bet Danny would let her get away with murder!
McKay
Yeah, it was some ep where...actually, I don't remember the context, but Danny was oozing on about how Michelle would always be his little princess. He then adds, as an afterthought, how Stephanie will always be his "little ladybug" and how DJ will always be his "little tennis ball head."
...No wonder I do so badly in school. My brain is crammed with useless FH trivia.
SynSerenity
I finally bought the S1 DVDs yesterday. and I've come to the conclusion that FH was so much better before Michelle started talking.

And I concur with Al Bundy becoming Father of the Year before Danny!
GarfieldTheCat
Al Bundy is like the worst parent in TV history! The 'tennis ball head' thing might come from the episode where Stephanie and DJ gets blamed for Michelle's wrong doings.

'Daddy am I still your wittle pwincess?' BARF!
Daisy Duke
Al Bundy is like the worst parent in TV history!

Somebody hasn't been watching 7th Heaven! (to which I say "good for you")
GarfieldTheCat
LOL, wait a min...youre actually construing that Al Bundy is a better paren than Rev. Camden?
Daisy Duke
youre actually construing that Al Bundy is a better paren than Rev. Camden?

Yep, yep. Seriously. Al's better than Danny and even Danny Tanner is a better parent than Rev. Camden.

Danny would have kicked Kevin the fuck out of his house.

Sadly, I've watched enough 7th Heaven to be absolutely sure of this, as sure as I am that Kelly is a more empowered female than Lucy.
SynSerenity
I forgot all about Rev. Camden. Yes, I have to hand it to Danny that he's a much better father than him.

The question is, who's the most annoying youngest daughter? Ruthie or Michelle?
Leelee51
They both suck, but at least we don't have to hear "Awwww" every time Ruthie spits out a line.
Readster
I agree. Danny was really a bad father but he wouldn't of done half I mean a quarter of the crap that Rev Cam either has done or let Annie get away with the last few years. Hell, he would of told Lucy to take her so called perfect husband get the hell out of hte house and said good luck in life. Call me some day like in three years.
LadyKenobi
The episode where Jessie and Joey get an advertising job but decide to work at home just ended on NAN. I was absolutely transfixed. The writing. The acting. The sight of Bob Saget doing an Elvis imitation. The solemn announcement For the Kids At Home that most parents can't work at home (duck, here comes the disclaimer!) Hearing the words "stack a black" come out of John Stamos' mouth. I can't believe I've still retained the ability to sit upright at type at the same time after all the brain cells this show killed off.

I bet if I hadn't watched this thing on a constant basis as a child, I'd be a neurosurgeon today.
Yellowpager
Heh Heh, I bet Al Bundy made more money than old Rev. Camden. At least Al owned his own house!

IMO I think it is very bad parenting to nickname a child "little princess"- the kid's likely to take it literally and expect to be treated like royalty. Which is what ended up happening to Michelle.
jlco123
I saw an episode last night on NAN that I hadn't seen in a long time. It was the one where DJ's boyfriend dumped her for a girl who was pretty. Jonathon Brandis played the jerky boyfriend in the episode. I just thought I would mention it because I had such a huge crush on him when I was a little girl.
GarfieldTheCat
That episode always pisses me off. And yes, Ruthie is better. At least she gets punished when she get out of line. Now, the question is whos more annoying, The Camden twins or Michelle?
Daisy Duke
whos more annoying, The Camden twins or Michelle?

Really that depends on whether you're more irritated by a kid who's obnoxious, evil, and spoiled who everyone on the show adores, or kids who are feral and brain-damaged and generally ignored by their family.

The upside to Michelle was we only had to see one twin at a time. And she looks like a thespian compared to the Camden twins.

Downside is she was a major plot-point, not just a set of toddlers left to fend for themselves behind the sofa.
kariyaki
I think the more apt comparison would be the Camden twins to the bruddahs. Both sets of twins were brought on to add more kids to the house when the older ones got too big. I can't decide which ones were more annoying, though.
Darn
Man, ABC Family showed an episode yesterday that just pissed me off. Jessie and Joey were working on this jingle...for something, who knows? All I remember that the jingle was stupid like the rest of them. Anyway, DJ and Kimmy took it upon themselves to use Jessie's tape recorder to redord themselves singing some horrible song. Jessie catches them and rightfully reads DJ the riot act, Danny walks in, DJ walks off in a huff saying something like "Don't worry, I'll never come in your room again!". Danny says Jessie was too harsh, Jessie agrees.

First of all, don't go into your uncle's room without permission, second of all if I spoke to ANY adult the way she did, uncle or not, I would have been dead where I stood. Danny did nothing.

God, I always hated DJ.
SynSerenity
SamVid's better than Michelle, just because they weren't little suck-ups.

I still can't decide on Ruthie or Michelle though... they're both extremely annoying.
MarySunshine
I'd say Michelle is more annoying...only because I can't stand hearing "You got it dude" every episode.
candynecklace

But how about last nite's episode with Howie her little boyfriend whom Becky taped at the airport, they watched the tape, Michelle said "More Howie" and Danny made some kind of remark like "It's all H-Tv from now on." (Bad paraphrasing, but that was the gist.) And she was a little tiny toddler, and already everyone was kowtowing to her. Ugh. I think I just watch the show because it's so bad, it's funny. But I try to keep it a deep, dark secret!
GarfieldTheCat
I dunno.Maybe the didnt want to see her sad

I saw that recently, too, on Nick at Nite, and yes -- it's as if Danny was in training to parent Michelle from that episode onward. If anything, DJ's response was downright mature compared to what Michelle would have said. Jesse probably would have given Michelle the key to his bedroom and slept out on the porch.
SynSerenity
The actor they picked to play Pam was actually pretty accurate to the looks of DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle. What I found weird is that Stephanie said "We'll have to remember Mom, because we have to tell Michelle about her." Did they ever end up talknig to Michelle about Pam? I don't think they did, but I still haven't seen every single episode.
Phenobarbara

But the thing is, Michelle later did the same thing to Jesse. She played around with his stuff in the basement. When Jesse got mad at her, she got all pissed off at him. When he told Danny what she'd done, she literally sneered at Jesse and called him "Uncle Tattle Tale" for the rest of the episode. And of course Danny didn't stop her. I wanted to punch her sneering little face.
Staleepisode
Why did almost every show need to have Jesse sihging (you know, the "lost" Beach Boy)? And why, oh why did they have to showcase the aged Beach Boys? They looked like the girl's grandfathers!
FairyChica78
The only time I seem to remember everyone talking to Michelle about Pam once Michelle was older was in the finale when an amnesiac Michelle asked where her mom was.

The "Goodbye, Mr. Bear" episode has always been one of my favorite Full House episodes and it really shows what a talented child actress Jodie Sweetin was. I also loved the ending where they watched the home video of Pam bringing newborn Michelle (which was actually Mary-Kate and Ashley's lil sis, Lizzie Olsen) home from the hospital. I also think it was the first episode that showed what a brat Michelle was by hiding Mr. Bear from Stephanie. Grant it, she was only 2 though.
fictionista
Who was the chick who played Joey's girlfriend Cheryl? She SUCKED. What a horrible actress. I even caught her looking at the camera a few times.

The DJ drumset epi was on today.
SynSerenity
Wow, I never knew that was Lizzie Olsen playing newborn Michelle. And I loved the part where they watched that home video too. It always makes me wonder how family life was for the Tanners when Pam was in the house.

And the actress that played Cheryl is Diane Brodie. According to IMDB, the only other show she guest starred on was L.A Law.
McKay
That episode was on yesterday. Is it wrong that it always makes me tear up?
I wonder why it doesn't bug me when Stephanie yells at Joey for "giving away" Mr. Bear, when if Michelle had done it, I'd have called her a brat or worse.
Of course, Stephanie wasn't prone to those histrionics every episode, and her attachment to that bear was kind of understandable. She was what, five or six? And her mother had given him to her.
