By the way, am I the only one that always gets strangely creeped out by the scene of Nicky and Alex jumping into Jesse and Becky's bed, kissing and saying "goodnight bwudder" to each other?
i always thought that was strange. why do "cute kids" on sitcoms always have speech impediments? is it supposed to make them funny? cuter? i don't get it.
chinkygirl, i saw that one too! the best part was when finishing, michelle had this weird, blank stare.
the series finale was on yesterday, too. i sort of liked michelle in that one. she seemed rather...snarky. as in, "what the hell is wrong with these people?" heh. (maybe it was just the amnesia. whatever. i liked it.)

What was really stupid was that episode where Jesse and Becky took the twins to Joey's uncle (Dave Coulier in old man makeup) for their first haircut. And then all he did was comb their hair back. That dude had quite a racket going, I wonder how much he charged them.

The twins' long hair made for one funny scene, at least...when they were interviewing at the FancySchmancy Day Care Center, and the interviewer went behind the mirrored glass to observe Jesse and Becky with the boys. Jesse took one boy on each knee, faced the "mirror," and showed them how to shake their heads to "find your natural part, boys. Good, there you go!" I don't think this was meant to be laugh-track-funny, but I thought it was hilarious. Who doesn't know that a mirror that size in a day care is an observation booth?

Oh yes, another WTF moment. Remember how "Joey" turned their chairs around, appeared to be cutting both twins' hair at the same time, then turned the chairs back towards the audience so we can see their newly combed back (and possibly gelled) hair. This? Followed by yet another resounding "Awwwwww!!"

The studio audience "aww"s are ridiculous and even were at that time.
Whatever happened to Dylan and Blake Tuomy-Wilhoit? Couldn't find anything on IMDb...
I can't wait till they get back around to the older episodes (it'll still be a while, though) I love when Stephanie drives the car through the kitchen wall! And when DJ and co. put the principal's car on the roof...the early episodes were definitely the best.
ETA: I found this link to what appears to be a recent picture of the boys. Looks like they've finally gotten haircuts.

The older episodes of this show are great. The newer ones are... just too sugary sweet, especially with Jesse settling down with Rebecca and the twins being born.
It's so nice to see that the actors that paid the twins finally got those haircuts, sunny605!

Apparently, TPTB
did think it was cute when kids had speech impediments. Michelle couldn't say certain things for a while and most of the twins' friends also had problems talking.
I saw an episode the other day where Jesse was working his 'fabulous' laptop Commodor 64 and they hit a few buttons and jacked up the whole thing. Of course, Stephanie (was that the loud middle daughter) saved the whole day with two keystrokes.

Wasn't the car on the roof episode one of the later ones? I thought DJ was in high school by that time.
Let's talk fashion. Even with Becky and the teenage DJ/Steph/Kimmy combo around, Jesse always got to show the most skin. John Stamos was kinda hot, but he still could have buttoned up his shirts a bit more. Becky wore those fugly long sleeved turtle neck shirts with the shoulders cut out. I read somewhere that every once in a while the girls would get to keep something from their wardrobes and poor Andrea Barber would never get anything because she hated her clothes so much.

Arrrggghhh! You reminded me of "ous cream" (even after she was an adult, as seen in the look-into-the-future part of the-girls-are-selfish-little-witches episode.
I don't remember the twins' friends, but I do remember Michelle's friend Teddy. I used to think little Taj Mowry was so sweet and he had the same speech impediment I had as a child, the inability to say the letter "r." Now, looking back, that kid grates on my last nerve. Not as much as that bratty little Aaron or swishy Derek or even Michelle herself, but he still grates.

Ah, the "Cold Shoulder". How I miss the fashions of the early 90s. ;)
Did the twins even
have friends? I remember the episode where they have to go preschool, and they won't play with any of the other kids.
As for Michelle's friends, I actually liked Teddy. From what I remember, he seemed more like a real kid than a child actor.

The twins wouldn't play with the other kids in a play group. IIRC, we did see one friend of theirs (Like, once). He was that smart kid that made Becky and Jesse feel that they had to enroll the twins in some prestigious preschool.
Teddy was awesome. "She talks with her hands on her head!" Denise was okay; I only hated the obvious child actors - Derek and whatsherface the redhead.
They really did put Becky in the baggiest clothes. If she wasn't wearing those huge turtlenecks, she was wearing a dress that looked like a muumuu on her.

Uncle Jesse wore a lot of V-neck undershirts - not a wise choice in my opinion, but they seemed to work for him. And of course, who can forget that leather vest.
Joey, on the other hand...ugh. Worst clothes on the show (and I'm including Kimmy Gibbler in on this). Worst clothes, worst hair. Danny looked better than him for crying out loud.

I always thought Derek was funny...in a genius, pretty-boy sort of way. And I said this before, but I heart Aaron. He was such a snotty little brat and did such a good job of it. (Maybe he was like that IRL?)

Wasn't Aaron also the brat who upset me on "Who's The Boss?" I seem to have a fuzzy nightmare of him singing "Eye of the Tiger." My main complaints with him were that he made Teddy act mean to Michelle because she was a "gull" (I loved to hear Taj talk) and he was disrespectful to the adults.

Well, the whole point of the smash club was to cater to the junior high and high school crowd--it wasn't a place meant for anyone over 18. I remember right before Jesse fixed up the club Steve, DJ, and Kimmy were whining about all the fun places being 18 or 21 plus.
What I hated about that episode was when Jesse was telling them the groups that played there in the old days (The Beatles and The Doors were two of the ones that he mentioned) and each time, they would say "Who?". To me, that was so unrealistic because how the Hell could you have never heard of The Beatles?
And speaking of all the "Aw" thing: I remember that in the last two seasons, I would count how many times they said "Aw" in one episode. And, I swear, one time there were at least
twenty "Aw"s in one episode! Crazy.

I've become addicted to this show, though I'm not sure why.
Episode where Stephanie is having a tough time adjusting to junior high
She calls up Jesse's and Danny's program pretending to be an exchange student.
"My friend wants me to smoke. What should I do?"
DJ: "Remember, a true friend likes you for who you are."
Kimmy: "That's right! A true friend like you for who you are and how much money you have."
I always wondered why her dad or the other two ever tried to get DJ to tell Kimmy to stop copying her homework. Both of them were ridiculously open about it, considering how hung up on integrity the three guys were.

I believe you are right; the mullet was only there the first season. Said mullet disappeared in the episode where Stephanie gave Jesse a "play" haircut with real scissors, and accidentally cut off a huge chunk of his hair, leading him to storm off to get his hair cut and break his arms. I always thought that specfic episode had the most bizarre storyline.
