However, as I was watching the twin talent show, I got way too irate at how Jesse was carrying the twins around and basically doing their shtick for them. When they won, I was almost shouting, "Hey! At least Debbie and Darla actually performed their own act! This is a travesty!"
I'm embarrassed to admit that I yelled at the tv for that one too. What's so talented about a couple of nose-pickers standing on stage with tacky Elvis jumpsuits doing nothing? I think the only people who thought it was cute live in the attic.

Ugh, I hated the episode last night where Jesse flipped out over getting the boys their haircuts. Get over it, you yutz. Their hair looked atrocious. Oh, and what the hell was Becky wearing in that scene where Steph's friends mistook the twins for girls? It was this awful long-sleeved collared denim shirt with no shoulders. Whichever wardrobe person put her in that ought to have been fired.

MUNI has trains that go underground from time-to-time. Now I am curious about Jesse's supposed route. From where I am guessing they live (based on the look of their house), I don't think they'd be near any underground transportation options at all.

The subway episode is one of my least favorite ones EVAH!!!!
Mine too, but I hate it for different reasons:
1) It's painful for me to watch the entire subway train convince that kid to go back to school. Please, even in San Fran I doubt a whole train full of strangers would bond like that to help out someone they don't even know. And then the fact that he's actually like "Yeah, I think I will go back to school" just bugs the hell out of me. So fake.
2) Jesse and his hatred of the Bonanza song. When they're on the train, he says "Could this get any worse?", and WAIT FOR IT, the conductor says "Well since we're here I have this song..." Boy I would've never guessed he'd play the Bonanza song. Nope, didn't see that coming from a mile away.

2) Jesse and his hatred of the Bonanza song.
My favorite part about Jesse's Bonanza song angst had to do with the fact that at least once before, he had no problem humming it (for the twins, I think). I even think there might have been two times when they used the Bonanza song with no problems from Jesse, but I don't remember.
Miss Aquarius
Sep 3, 2004 @ 2:59 pm
When did he reference Bonanza in another ep? I think Danny might have in the ep where Stephanie changes her name to Dawn, but I don't remember Jesse doing it. Probably just a brainfart on my part. I do, however, remember the episode where Jesse keeps singing the "Three's Company" theme song, badly, for the entertainment of the Tweedles. And he doesn't learn the right words to the theme until(I think) the final scene of the ep...sigh.

It was stupid Michelle's fault they were on subway in 1st place. And everyone else on subway went from grumpy and not wanting a ceremony to helping and telling guy to go back ?? Please, that was stupid.
Edited to add: Here is Tvtome's note on the subway episode.
NOTE: Candace Cameron does not appear in this episode. She is visiting her brother for a week at a camp.
Kirk Cameron runs a Christian camp, so that is where she was.

Thanks for the subway clarification (or rather pointing out how stupid FH people are.) I thought the subway they showed looked a little too much like NYC's system to be a coincidence. Couldn't they get footage of some actual SanFran public transportation?
Here's another loophole I find in this storyline. Now, I will mention it again, I know NOTHING about San Francisco and its geography. But don't the Tanners live in a fairly affluent neighborhood? One that doesn't have a subway stop anywhere near it? Thats just a guess on my part, plus you never hear them talk about taking it before. Wouldn't that mean they either had to drive to get to the nearest subway stop (defeating the purpose of taking the subway) or they had to walk way the fuck out of the way to get there. I mean, c'mon, people. I'm all for saving the environment but COME ON!

Can people on sitcoms do that? I figured she must have been really sick or something. I didn't think actors could just take a week off for something like visiting their brother at camp.

I'm not a big fan of that eppie, either. What irks me about the episode (along with things other posters have mentioned) was when that man started playing the Grad song on his sax-a-mo-phone and Jesse was looking like it was
romantic and shit. Look at his expression next time you catch this ep. Ugh.
Heh. Little things like that annoy me from time to time. Don't mind me.

BART only stops at the Embarcadero, Powell St., and one other street, then you're stuck till Daly City, IIRC. But Muni serves several neighborhoods, even in the hilly areas like Twin Peaks, so it's possible that Jesse wouldn't have to walk that far. But really, Full House is hardly a realistic depiction of SF life. They live in a magical expanding house that looks small on the outside, but has 4 stories, a huge-ass living room, and a backyard. No wonder Michelle didn't want to leave.
Did they ever have a Very Special Episode with an earthquake? I seem to remember one, with Stephanie freaking out.
Miss Aquarius
Sep 4, 2004 @ 8:57 pm
Yeah, there was an earthquake episode -- I think it was during Season 2. Here's the premise:
Earthquake happens. Suddenly, Stephanie is being super-clingy with Danny. Hanging onto his leg when he tries to leave for work, begging to sleep in his bed with him, etc. She becomes so freakish and NOBODY CAN FIGURE OUT WHY because they're all stupid. Danny takes her to a therapist because, well, idiot. The therapist asks Steph to draw a picture of her family. She draws everyone in the house except Danny. When asked why, she replies because when the earthquake happened, Danny wasn't home and she was worried. Suddenly it all makes sense to Danny because, well, idiot. Cue sugar-coated Music of the Heart as Danny explains to Stephanie that she shouldn't worry even though he is so inept wiping his ass probably boggles his mind. Of course, because this is FH, Steph feels better after this talk and a couple of suggestions like Danny calling if he's going to be late, blah, blah, good parents already do this crap. Crisis averted! No mental illness here, homies! Roll the damn credits.

There's something that always bugs me about that episode. There's a guy (possibly in a jean jacket) that talks to Jesse on the subway.
Now remember the episode where Joey (with a messed-up neck) was in an airport lounge with everybody? There's a guy in the airport lounge that bitches at Joey for constantly looking at him. It's the exact same actor as the guy in the subway! I hate that!

Oh, the airport one is right up there with a terrible episode with the subway one. I mean, no one even Jesse would put themselves through that because: "he's a man" to play into a band where most of the members will probably be dead in a couple of years. Plus, Joey's neck problems was absolutely terrible. And don't get me started on Danny and Vickey in that one.

Miss Aquarius, a huge "Bwahahaha!" to your rundown of the Stephanie/earthquake episode. A person with half a brain cell in his/her head would have figured out right away that it was the earthquake that had Stephanie so freaked out. Alas, Danny isn't that bright.

I didn't like Vicky either because that whole storyline really screwed with the audience. After watching the show and investing a fairly good amount of attention in the Danny-Vicky romance, it was just dropped within one episode that next season. We saw Danny deal with all sorts of issues re: Vicky ("replacing" his dead wife, meeting her mom, finding out she's older than he is, her lack of homemaking skills, the whole trip to Disney World to propose) yet the show backed out and sent Danny back to square one. I guess the grown-up storyline of Danny finding someone to love took too much attention away from pwecious Michelle and her owce cream.
The Disney World episode was yet another log to throw on the fires of hatred for Michelle. Anyone remember "Uh... maybe you didn't see this CROWN on my head?!"
I always feel obliged to lighten up on the Disney World episode because it offers the pure comedic brilliance of Joey Gladstone wearing a sport coat and bermuda shorts.

I can't stand how Danny and Jesse are fighting because Danny is blaming the accident on Jesse for letting the kids run wild. They mentioned it in the ep in which Kimmy gets drunk at a frat party and gets mad at D.J. for taking her keys away. D.J. reminded her that her (D.J.'s) mother was killed by a drunk driver and she doesn't want to see Kimmy go down that path.

The text of the Good Person test is taken straight from her brother's website (where it has the added weirdness of him reading everything to you), so I can't blame her for the creepiness of it. But this is the first time (and the fact that I've just admited to having taken it muliple times is very sad) I've noticed that it's not even really a test; all combinations of answers, even all innocents, leads to the we are sinners all/you're going to Hell/accept Jesus as your lord and saviour screens.
I guess they must assume that if you claim to be completely innocent then you must be a liar.
