watched the episode on nick at night when Rebecca has the babies. It was hysterical. Jesse had to have surgery and he starts singing because he is under drugs. Michelle is having a birthday party and they all forget and she and her friends take the birthday cake and just dig in.

It seems that Michelle has had her share of bad birthdays. The above mentioned twin-birth that overshadows her Flintstones party, and let's not forget the one where her, Jesse & Steph were stuck at a gas station and they were forced to put on a circus act for to replace her planned circus party.
I don't know what's worse: the fact that everyone goes out of their way to play extravegant parties for Michelle alone, or the fact that she always misses out on them.

Re: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
I seem to remember from later episodes that both actresses were on the screen at the same time in Full House. How did they explain that Michelle suddenly had a twin on the show?
Or is my memory faulty?

Once they played "good Michelle" and "bad Michelle" (ie: devil/angel conscience) and once Jesse had a nightmare there were two Michelles.
And then don't get me started on the "identical cousins" bit with Jesse's family and him proposing to Becky.
ChinkyGirl
Jan 7, 2004 @ 8:22 am
Also, in the final ep., it's AmnesiaMichelle and MemoryMichelle, which gave us the final climatic scene of the two merging together! Chee-say.
And yes, they also appeared as identical Greek cousins in addition to Michelle in one of many Greek themed eps.

I must have confused Full House with that other show about them living together with a single dad ... Two of a Kind.

I saw the last episodes (the two parter) not too long ago, and the guy Steph was crushing on was JJ Pryor (Will Estes) from American Dreams. It made me laugh cause he had stupid floppy hair and was not a good actor. Nice to see he's improved.

I seriously cannot believe how bad of an actor the guy that plays Uncle Joey is. He is horrible AND horrifying. Who decided he was a comedian? Also, he has that smarmy way of delivering a line where he seems like he's laughing at how funny he is or how right on his stoopid impressions are.
I wonder if John Stamos ever kicked his ass just on principle after taping that one where Uncle Joey shows up as Michelle's teacher. Oy vay. The cheesy/smarmy Joey made me feel like I was experiencing morning sickness...any my baby is 4 months old!

At least when Red Skelton cracked up before he delivered the punch line, he wasn't nearly as abrasive or annoying as Dave Coulier.
I was totally crushing on Uncle Jesse, though. I drop everything when those 10-10-987 commercials come on. :)

Creepy is actually how I describe Joey's role in the family. He was only Danny's friend and how no other excuse for being there!
Which lends credence to my "Danny and Joey are more than friends" theory. Think about it. Danny invites a guy to live with him and basically act as the girls' second father.
Yes, I know. Danny/Joey slash is a verybadwrong idea. And yet. I am writing verybadwrong fanfic about it. Maybe. I feel dirty.

However, I think there were a few more HoYay moments between Joey and Jesse, of all people.

Delurking to mention the episode when Stephanie did that little dance routine thingy.. It was mentioned upthread a long while ago, but that stands out as my favorite episode because I remember taping the ending (which probably required my dad's help) when she did the big dance, and I watched it over and over until I could do the whole dance myself. I think I put on a show for my family once I learned it...that ep made me want to be a dancer and also Boyz II Men's "Motownphilly" became my favorite song for a while.

You know, I have a question. Remember when Stephanie had that birthday party and was so excited when Jesse managed to get Pop Star Tommy Page to attend? Did anybody else ever know who the fuck that guy was? Or was he supposed to be something like IPS Joy from 7th Heaven, somebody they SAY is famous to try and make them famous. I remember when that episode first aired, that guy showed up and Steph screams, "TOMMY PAGE!!!" I was all, "Who?!"
K. Piddy
Jan 10, 2004 @ 11:50 pm
I remember hearing of Tommy page a week before and going "who the fuck?" then seeing him on Full House going "why the fuck is he on here". He was semi famous. if you were nosey, like me, you knew him but he was never actually BIG.
This might be him
RainIsBeautiful
Jan 11, 2004 @ 12:48 am
That's definitely the same guy. He's had the same perma-drunk gaze since he appeared on Full House.
From his official site:
Tommy sees his music career as a fairy tale dream like Cinderella (you know where the clock is about to strike 12 ending all the magic?) When he realized that he wouldn't be making albums forever, he chose the name Ten til Midnight, (kind of like when you're counting down and cherishing all those special moments before the "magic" ends). This might seem like sad news, but Tommy will always continue writing songs so his music will always go on (just as it still does when you pop in one of his CDs!)
Seriously? Gah.
Every time I see the words "Tommy Page", I think "Tommy Gunn", of
Rocky V fame. Well, "fame", since only ten of us saw that movie. How fun would it be if Tommy Page and Tommy Gunn got into a street fight?

Comet is a boy, remember when he got away from Michelle and met the girl dog on top of the bell tower?
That one always bugged me because in my official Full House book (yes, I had it) there is a picture of the day that Minnie gave birth to Comet and his brothers and sisters but the caption reads "Comet had puppies" and I was always like, um no, Comet was one of the puppies.

I thought the Stephanie character was much cuter and more bearable when she was younger. She became unfunny and annoying (but not as annoying as Michelle) as the seasons marched on. I do heart Jodie though.
So, having said that, I guess DJ was my favorite, considering all the episodes.

I totally wanted to be Stephanie circa Motownphilly Dance Recital Meltdown. She seemed so glamorous to me with her sequinned costumes and long, blonde hair. I did think she was very annoying when she was eight or nine years old, but she was great as a kindergartener and likeable as a teenager. D.J. was my favorite, though. Or should I say the least annoying of the family.
Last night, the first Thanksgiving without Mrs. Tanner episode was on, and there was a scene that quite disturbed me. Joey was in the kitchen making pumpkin margaritas, and decided to finish off the last few drops in one of the little liquor bottles. It got stuck on his tongue and he began running around the kitchen like a chicken with its head cut off, trying to find relief. He decides to jam the bottle into a tight crevice, like the back of a chair, and proceeds to get down on his knees and attempt to pull the bottle off his tongue. Maybe I'm just a pervert, but I kept going, "Oh my god, stop! Not on Full House! That's so wrong!" It was truly disturbing. Uncle Joey is sooo creepy.
I am confused about Stephanie's pink bunny wallpaper. They're Stephanie's bunnies, right? And after awhile, after moving into Stephanie's old room, Uncle Jesse decides to take the bunny wallpaper down and paint/paper the wall to his liking, but he saves one pink bunny, frames it and hangs it in the room. Somewhere down the road, doesn't he give the bunny to Michelle? Why not Stephanie? Why's Michelle so attached to it?
sunny605
Jan 19, 2004 @ 8:11 pm
I always thought the bunnies WERE Michelle's...but I guess she already had her own room, so that didn't make sense. Was this the same room DJ moved into later on? When Jesse and Rebecca moved into the attic? (to "do their taxes" - ew)

Does anyone remember how/why this show ended? I suddenly couldn't remember and I looked up some episode guides & I recall seeing the episode (Michelle's amesia) but it didn't seem like a very finale type episode, ending the entire series like that. Or is it just because I haven't seen that episode in years? Did it just get pulled off?

The bunnies were Stephanie's. Michelle's room was next to Uncle Jesse's, across from the bathroom and DJ and Stephanie's room.
When did Jesse give the bunny to Michelle? All I remember is Michelle giving Jesse her stuffed pig.
The amnesia and DJ at the prom with Steve thing was the end as far as I remember.

Given Dave Coulier dating Alanis Morrissette when she was so young, does anyone else feel squicked out that he was on a show with so many really young girls? I know he and Alanis both worked for Nickolodean, I know that they're both Canadian.. but dude, that's sort of... creepy.
I noticed initially Joey was sort of the "cool friend" but then as he got older, grew a mullet, gained weight and started living in the basement I got really creeped out. Also, I'm not surprised Joey had no dates in the last season.
"Hi, I imitate Bullwinkle all the time, live in my friend's basement, have a mullet and also wear ninja turtle pjs." Yarr.
Also word that the first season was much more "grown up". Jesse actually *got* some, where towards the end it was very "We only have wholesome married lovin with Becky'", which irritated me.

RE: The bunnies
The bunnies were Stephanie's. In the beginning of the 4th season Uncle Jesse decided to take them down, but saved one and framed it because he thought Stephanie would be upset. Stephanie couldn't have cared less and wondered why he didn't take them down years ago. Michelle came into the room and was all upset that the bunnies were gone, but was satisfied with the one framed bunny. When Jesse moved out he gave Michelle the bunny to remember him by and Michelle gave him her pig, but then when Jesse and Becky moved into the attic Michelle gave him back the bunny to hang in their "apartment" to symbolize that they were home or something.
It's scary that I remember all that.

Well, you have to admit, she looks a hell of a lot better than she did during the course of the show, especially during those preteen and teenage years. She definitely looks better than the Olsen twins, who will always be odd-looking to me because they still have that 6-year-old "Michelle" face, but are taller. I think Candace Cameron is rather pretty, though.

Five-year-old Stephanie was upset that Jesse was covering up the bunnies with posters when he first moved in. Fast forward a few years and ten-year-old Stephanie didn't give a whit about it while it was Michelle that didn't want them to go.

Creepy Joey memory of the day:
Once, Joey & Jesse were playing stay-at-home-dads and they had to give a presentation for some big shots on a commercial (in Joey's basement room, mind you). Steph is home with a cold and she comes down the stairs asking Joey to administer her "nose drops". He asks to be excused, Steph does some weird acrobatic back bend, Joey makes launching noises as he gives her the drops.
That's it. I was just thinking about how creepy this all was ;)

I actually thought that was cute. It was a creative way to get the kid her medicine and showed he cared about her. There were way more creepy Joey moments IIRC.
Was I the only one who wanted to live in the Tanner house? Not with the Tanners, just the house. I loved the stairs that curved around like that and the secret entrance to the kitchen from the laundry room. My house wasn't cool like that.
