Maybe these shows won't stand the test of time, but for the moment, I love the entire Bluth family on Arrested Development, and Karen Cisco is my TV crush. Oh, and her dad and boss are great, too.
And I miss both Fish and Cage.

I am soo late getting into this topic, but I had to add my favorites.
Sam from Bewitched, Mary Ann from Gilligans Island and Daphne from Scooby Doo for helping me bridge the gap between boyhood and manhood. :-)
Captain Kirk and Spock, I will always be a Star Trek geek.
The entire cast of Homicide Life on The Streets. Best Cops ever.
The Cast of the first season of ER. When I catch a repeat, it justs makes me so sad for what that show has become.
The Brown family from Everwood. I just love them all.
Joan Girrardi, I can't take my eyes off her, and not in a skeevy way.
And finally...Dr Johnny Fever.

Gotta say, I'm surprised no one's mentioned my favorite: the gorgeous Ryan Atwood on The OC. I know most people that watch it are all for Seth, but I have to say, Ryan does it for me. I love how worried he allways is of loosing everything he has been given- underneath his though guy act he really is vulnerable and just wants to keep his new life in balance
...and those wifebeaters he wears don't hurt either!

Chato Cadena from
Kingpin. Possessor of the Sex Eye, thrower of knives, caresser of firearms, source of highly inappropriate, fraternal close-talking and intimating.
Jessica said it best in her recaps-
Chato -- my crazy, hyper-sexual uber-violent boyfriend -- takes off his sunglasses.
Chato gives all of the meth-lab workers his Patented Chato Sex Eye -- the look that screams "I want you, right here, right now, or else"
You can't hold the world from him forever, you know?" Miguel sniffs that he's not going to take any lessons on child-rearing from Chato. Chato laughs and tells him to relax, and then he gets in even closer to Miguel's lips. I'm not making this shit up. He's literally a quarter of an inch away from Miguel's front teeth. "Did you see Tio Jorge yet? Did they make him look goooood?" he purrs. And then he pats his brother on the cheek and saunters inside. Man, he is one hot, crazy guy.
He is evil, crazy, clearly a giant whore, probably not all that smart, certainly violent, and, as we'll see later, a total sexist, and yet, I love him.
And holy good lord, the abs on Bobby Cannavale are amazing.

I love Steven, the principal played by Chi McBride on Boston Public. Not only is he the only likable character left on the show, but he's honest, brave, sensitive, has courage of his convictions, and isn't afraid to put people in their place, even if they're people he likes or even loves. You don't see characters like that much anymore.

The brothers Pete from The Adventures of Pete and Pete. I loved little Pete for being the coolest little weirdo rebel ever, and big Pete for being the only half-way sane person on the show.

- AndrAIa ( her grown up version kicks so much ass and has cool stuff, although her shirt should have been bigger)

- Hexadecimal ( do I even have to explain why she's cool?)

I love absolutely everyone in the regular cast of "Monk" and most of the guest stars, too. Well, not the murderers... But last night's episode, with John Turturro as Adrian Monk's smarter, more neurotic brother Ambrose cemented my love for these people.
- Adrian Monk, who manages to make Obsessive Compulsive Disorder fascinating, pitiable and somehow charming all at once, and is both courtly and totally self-involved, until he isn't...
- Sharona Fleming, intrepid nurse, Gal Friday, single mom and muse. Earthy, practical, yet somehow yearning, she's a unique creation, but they all are...
- Capt. Leland Stottlemeyer - The master of the slow-burn, yet with unusual reserves of both patience and humor. Has evolved in two years into one of Monk's staunchest defenders.
- Lt. Randall Disher - Just kiss her [Sharona] already!
If you haven't watched it yet... prepare to fall in collective love.

She had a shirt?! Wow. I'll have to look closer next time. But you're right, she kicked ten kinds of ass when she was grown up, although I regret that we never got to see her use that little harpoon-cannon thing she used to have on her wrist.

My favorites:
All the L&O detectives, especially Stabler and Goren--smart, sexy and not afraid to implement wall-to-wall counseling in their interrogation techniques
Constable Benton Fraser from Due South--Paul Gross looked innocent and endearing
Tobias Beecher from Oz--lived out my fantasy of dealing with the jerks at my high school at the end of Season 1
Dr. Leonard McCoy from the original STAR TREK--DeForest Kelley had the art of snark down to a science ("I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer!" Classic.)
Bill McNeal from NewsRadio--Phil Hartman was absolutely hilarious
Lt. Cmdr. Worf from STAR TREK: TNG--the importance of honor in his life is amazing
Faith Yokas from Third Watch--neither the hyper-perky homemaker mom nor the bitchy, emasculating career woman; represents working moms realistically and sympathetically
and of course, Daria and Jane--I love shows about girls who are smart enough not to give a damn about what utter bullshit high school is

I'm in love with Adam Rove from Joan of Arcadia. I think he is running a close second behind Kaylee from Firefly as Most Adorable Character In TV History.
I like Avalanche from X Men: Evolution. I have a soft spot for bad boys, I guess.
Speaking of bad boys, I love Lex from The Tribe, even though he's a total man whore. Jay too. Both so pretty. So pretty. Shh, sweeties, don't talk.
Alec from Dark Angel is the king of my imaginary TV harem.

It's weird, but I have a weakness for preppy, anal-retentive "good-guy" leader types who have issues with wanting to please their mentors and inevitably get into conflict with the cool "bad boy" characters. Case in point, Scott/Cyclops from X-Men and Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
And I love Smallville's Clark Kent. He may be a mopy BDA with Lana-titis, but I still love him. Gorgeous green eyes, perfect honey skin and all. Heh.
Michael Novotny on QAF may be a whiny little bitch at times, but I'm like that at times myself, so I don't mind at all. I love his sweetness and naivity and caring. Of course, the fact that I think Hal Sparks is hot doesn't hurt either. :P
We've only recently started airing Everwood in Singapore, but my favourite characters are the lovely Abbott men - Patch and Bright are just utterly adorable. I love Harold's snark and Andy/Edna pseudo-hatred. And Bright totally grew on me as the episodes went on. He's totally eclipsed Ephram as my favourite young character on Everwood.
ETA: Although I wouldn't mind being a plant that Bright grew, I don't that quite conveys what I wanted to say ...

I love Batman from JL. He is the only one who doesn't put up with Superman's crap or anyone else's. He doesn't even put up with his own crap, when he went to that alternate reality with the Justice Lords he wouldn't even put up with his other self's bull. Plus he's super smart, rich, and pretty good looking.
While I'm on the topic of JL characters, Hawkgirl rules all!!!!!!!!!! She's got an electric mace, a kick ass personality, she's a warrior, and she's hillarious. If you've seen the Christmas episode you know what I'm talking about, she gets into a super snowball fight with Green Lantern then she takes him to an alien danse club and starts a huge fight. You go girl!!!

Word on both! I've always admired Batman because he's private, dedicated, and cares more about helping people than being hailed as a flashy hero. I also feel bad for the guy because he has the scariest weakness of any superhero: he's really just a normal man. If Superman gets shot, the bullets bounce off. If Wonder Woman got shot, she'd use those handy bracelets, but if Batman got shot, he'd probably just die. Kind of sad.
And I love Hawkgirl, even more than WW. Hawkgirl
never takes any guff from anyone, especially not from that obnoxious Flash. Plus, her uniform isn't as slutty as WW's, so bonus points for that.
I also like John the Martian (sorry, don't know if that's what he's really called). There's something so sweet and huggable about him... is that wrong?

Anyone ever see Portal on G4? If so you might know what I'm talking about. I love Berney basically because he was crafted purposely to annoy the crap out of people. Steve , from Coupling-UK- I'd probably fuck Patrick, definitely be friends with Jeff....but Steve is the one I'd marry. He may be flawed, he may be repressed, he may have communication issues, but beneath it all is one sweet, sincere, thoroughly decent guy. Even when he's baffled by Patrick and Jeff, he sticks by them; he may have dumped Jane (with good reason), but even whe she's downright psychopathic (the Truth Snake) he tries to protect her. And he tries so hard to be a good boyfriend to Susan...doesn't always succeed, but then, who does. He is ,in fact , a guy one would be lucky to spend the rest of one's life with.
(And Jack Davenport is smoking. :)
Also, count me in on all the AbbottMen love. Patch....Bright....Patch...Bright...mmmmmm.

Homicide: Bolander.
I've never seen a better portrayal of genuinely normal and basically sympathetic working-class man worn down by the basic brutality of life...worn down to the point that when we encounter him he's already unsympathetic and abnormal. It was comparable to Orson Welles in Touch of Evil, but with less mythologizing of the character.
They never tried to amp it up with some flashbacks or false heroics...or any hope of some redemption or happiness. I love that he wasn't a great cop (every detective show has way to many above average cops). He was adequate...probably good at some point, but by the time the timeline of the show began he was sloppy and disconnected.
And the fact that he just left...gave up...just couldn't take it anymore. No end scene...no dramatic death scene...no disease. God I'm depressed just thinking about it...and , sick as I am...I love it.

Ahhhhhh... Gambit love. As if I didn't fiend on him enough in the comics, they go and make that cartoon, and give the man a voice. Hot damn! I had no idea Chris Potter was capable of reducing me to mush, with the mere power of his vocal cords! And that damn accent (I live in south Louisiana, and trust me, no one here sounds that fine). So very nummy. I totally got the hots for CP through Gambit.
