On the first day that Marlena was given the serum she did confess to attacking Bo and Hope at the fashion show. But yes, she has skipped over attacking Hope in the evidence room and I'm not sure if they have gotten to the point where the killer attacked Sami but I'm assuming if they did then it wasn't mentioned.

OldSchoolDooL I thought the same thing. The look in both Abe's and Maggie's eyes was pure dumbfoundedness (is too a word. I made it up) I imagine I would have the same look were I to find out my mother was the Whore of Babylon.

I can't remember specifically the order of the murders, but it seems like they're trying to get the confessions in chronological order. Have they skipped Tony? Is that intentional or is it just that there's no one to bring in the room to hear that story who would care enough to display that dramatic reaction the writers seem to be so desperate for?

Not to worry, mljdjl26. Tony hasn't been skipped. Yet. Marlena just got done rehashing the murder of Roman, which sent Sami into a frenzy. Tony should be next. And maybe someday we'll find out what happened to his millions of dollars and massive business/criminal empire. But probably not.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification. I kind of figured I had the order jumbled in my head. I guess that can happen when there's so many. I keep waiting to see if they will ask Marlena about Victor, which I think they should because although everyone keeps acting as if they don't consider him one of the Salem Stalker victims, they aren't supposed to
know that (yet). It would be nice for a change to have Bo accusing someone other than Nicole of that particular crime (what was it exactly that made him so sure Nicole had something to do with it, anyway?). Again, I know the part Nicole played in that, but no one else besides Jan is
supposed to know at this point. Plus, I hate the way Bo always ends up roughing up Nicole when he talks to her about it. Wouldn't that be considered physical assault? Actually, Brady does a lot of manhandling of Nicole, as well, whenever the subject of Victor comes up (what is it about Nicole that men keep jerking her around by the arm?), but at least he isn't a trained professional officer of the law.

I've been literally rushing out of work and speeding home to see Days three days a week. And I'm left with this overwhelming feeling of, "I don't get it." Okay, Bo wants the confessions on record as quickly as possible. That makes sense. And a morbid fascination with knowing how each one happened sort of makes sense too. But, Marlena has admitted to killing what? Four or five people now? That will get you a lethal injection as sure as eight or nine will. And if someone I trusted, loved or respected had killed my family and friends, the first question out of my mouth would be "Why?" Bo's been an inefficient cop up until this point. Why the sudden pragmatism? Someone ask the damn woman why, so I can stop watching already!
I'm not buying this whole straight up, Marlena just killed these people storyline. Either this is the worst writing in the history of the world, or something else is going on. I think I'm babbling now.

Something keeps nagging me about this whole truth serum/questioning part of the storyline.
I'm thinking back to when Marlena was injected, and Bo started getting Marlena's confession.
Something about his phrasing struck me odd. I remember him saying something like "Marlena, you need to confess to all the murders......".
Am I wrong??? Does it mean anything, or is it just me.
I wish I had saved the tape.

Y'all, I was frantically digging through drawers last night, trying to find a "keeper" tape to record something on to save for posterity; the one I found was an old soap tape. When I was cueing it up, I realized just how old it was: pretty, pretty Jensen Ackles (who actually happens to be a friend of I friend, believe it or not!) was still on as Eric. Unfortunately, it also had that dogawful Steve Wilder playing Jack. This must've been back when I was still taping, but in denial about the fact that I never watched my tapes (gee, sorta like now?), because, based on the few scenes I scanned through, I don't remember anything that was going on. Jack was bustin' out of da joint, and Jennifer (presumably that even more dogawful Stepanie Cameron?) had been kidnapped. Man, how long ago was that? Josh Taylor and Frances Reid looked so young compared to this year. It looked pretty bad, but I might just have to watch some of it (I only had to tape over 5 minutes or so), because, you know... the good ol' days, and all. And Jensen Ackles!

What really kills me is the way that people are being shuffled in and out for each confession with such precision. It reminds me of the dolphin shows or the feeding of the seals at the zoo. "Marlena will be giving confessions today at 1:10, 2:20, 3:30, 4:40, and 5:50. Purchase an all-confessions pass and save!"

Nice of Kate to finally remember that Cassie and Rex are/were her children. I think she would of remembered sooner considering that Rex is strongest living link Kate has her dead, beloved husband. It seems like someone just flicked a switch in her mind because she suddenly flew into a rage over Cassie after not giving a shit for a good half year.

Blech. This confession shit is irritating me. Everybody lunges at Marlena? I get why one might do that, but surely someone might start crying and just completely shutdown after hearing their loved one's killer confess rather happily to having killed said loved one. Stupid show.

Me too, but not so much the dialogue, but the implausibility of the whole thing (although it is a soap, so I suppose I have to keep that in mind). I was actually curious enough to go hunting the web for information about sodium pentothal/thiopental sodium. It is not used for recovering repressed memories, but for getting someone to talk against their will (big mistake right there since supposedly Marlena was more than willing, but not able to recall the murders). It's a barbiturate that at the correct dosage causes an "alcohol-like release of inhibition." It's also sometimes used as a tranquilizer, so when Sami mentioned receiving it as part of her lethal injection, that much the writers of the show researched properly. It can render the person receiving it highly suggestible and less willful. Therefore, you can be made to say pretty much anything your interrogators want you to. The duration of the effectiveness of one dosage is very short (so they'd better wrap the questioning up pretty quickly) and overdosage results in unconsciousness and eventually death. Lastly, a quote from the Erowid Psychoactive Vaults website that I found interesting, particularly the last sentence:
There really isn't any 'good' truth serum, despite decades of government experimentation. They are sometimes useful as part of a larger system of interrogation involving isolation, torture, indoctrination, etc. The problem is that people are liable to babble nonsense when given 'truth serums.'
I know, I know, I'm overthinking it. I have to keep reminding myself it's just a television show. Heh. But at least I learned something from my research.

Oddly, both Rex and Kate, two of the characters I'd peg as "lungers" just stood there (of course, Kate did walk into the room with that inane comment, so I guess she already filled her angry violence allotment). However, calm and pregnant Jennifer and newly aged Mickey went insane.

Has any mention been made of Celeste's whereabouts lately? Is she still recovering from her tangle with the dark forces? I'm surprised she isn't present for the questioning. Doesn't pretty much all of Salem turn to her when they want the truth about anything? Then again, Marlena's telling Bo exactly what he wants to hear, so I suppose that's good enough for him. But I miss hearing her call everyone "dahling." Hee.

AMEN! I know this is Days and therefore is exempt from all logic, but wouldn't this whole confession saga go faster if they taped it? That way the victim's families can rewind and lunge at their T.V's repeatedly. Poochie can place herself next to Marlena that way everyone can remember that it's all about her.

I find it odd that Kate actually referred to Cassie as Lucas' half-sister. Generally on Days of our Lives they don't refer to anyone as a half-sibling. They are just brother & sister...I guess because there are so few full-blood siblings [unless they are twins!]. Seriously - how many full-blood siblings are there? And I know that Lucas & Kate were not close with Cassie [well, aside from the almost full incest]...but still...?
Also - just because it's on my mind right now - who are Carrie's parents?
