They did New Summer Characters on yesterday's show. My favorite was the Amish Porn Star.

I loved the fact that The Only African-American John Mayer Fan was played by Pierre Bernard. You start to wonder how true this character might be for him.

And there is the on-going running gag of the many uses of the Grub Man costume, which was kinda "meh" for me, but I did love that the whole bit was topped off with if your idea for the next use of the Grub Man costume was used, you would get a "I'm A Conan Cost-cutter" button.

Word on the "I'm a Conan cost-cutter" button. I have absolutely no ideas about how they should use the grub costume again, but I've been trying to think of something purely because I want that damn button. So cute!

LoL. Perfect, indeed! Only change I'd make is have Leno do the occasional stand-up comedy piece as a guest, in the style of his '70s/early '80s stuff, using only himself as a writer for them. If Old Leno could be brought back (obviously, you can't retrofit the behind-the-scenes history), the world would be closer to being right again.

I think I could make a really good case that you can actually have the perfect talk show every night, simply by flipping the channels to catch all the best parts of every show. I like Leno’s monoluge better than Dave’s, which I find tiresome and unimaginative. So, after Leno’s monlogue, I switch over to Dave, and then later watch Craig’s nightly rant, followed by some silly Conan skits, and then Jimmy Kimmel and his hilarious media clips of the day.

That’s just a basic outline, because it all depends on who the quests are, and who you want to see interviewed in the middle of all that.

So Bryce Dallas Howard was on the other night and Conan looks blonde in comparison. She had a story about her brother fake puking on baby-sitter Tom Cruise and I gotta love that.

I watch Leno and then Conan. I switch to Letterman only if there's a really good guest on. I can't stand Kimmel, I admit the media clips are funny but there's always something that pisses me off (Cousin Sal). Ferguson I admit I do not get at all, I'm wondering if we're watching the same Craig Ferguson. I'll watch sometime to see if I'm missing something.

On the NBC TCA tour they reported that Leno will still be with NBC in some capacity after Consey takes over the Tonight Show.

I like Uma Thurman, she's a guest that's really engaged during a interview and you can see she's at least giving an effort. I like that she's so loose during the show.

Kevin Smith was a complete dissapointment. I thought he would say some more insightful geeky stuff, the constant gay jokes were lame. I want Superman to be gay, I want the X-Men to be gay.........

Give it a rest Kevin.

I hope Conan won't head west when it comes time to do the Tonight Show.

The New York Dolls are back! Well, two of them are, the rest are replacements. But I was stunned to see how thin David Johansen is these days. He looked Mick Jagger skinny - and I love that new song.

I did too,iME! I need to hear the rest of that album.

I believe it comes out today. I tried looking for it on iTunes yesterday and it wasn't there, but amazon had it available for sale.

It must've loaded into iTunes on Tuesday. Definitely will at least buy that one song they performed.

I saw the Dolls on Henry Rollins' show over the weekend and put the closed captions on for the lyrics - the song is even better now that I know every word they are singing.

There are photos of Conan at the Emmy press conference thing from a few days ago. It must have been really warm in there and I don't think he was wearing makeup. His face is bright pink and shiny.

It's so insane to get Conan tickets .. the first time I went I was like #125 and wasn't even close to getting in. The last time I went I was #46 and the line got cut off right before me :(

Wow, David Gregory was hilarious. His Bush immitation is just like Will Ferrell's. Pretty devastating too.

Where was Rabbit Castro? This is the perfect time to reintroduce that character.

Conan did another round of "Conan O'Brien Hates My Homeland" last night, and I'm pissed, but not for the reason you'd expect. I can take a joke, and so I have spent the last year eagerly waiting for him to nail Portugal (my homeland). And what do they do? They go from Poland to Russia!

Now you have to send an angry postcard! Maybe you'll get it on air. Though that plan might be most effective if you could get someone from Portugal to mail it in for you.

I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one. I always think 'Awww! That's the cutest Communist I've ever seen!'

I'd love to be in the audience of Martin's show when he brings Conan on stage and interviews him. That would be great.

I'm so excited that Conan is hosting the Emmys! I normally don't watch them but since he's hosting I will, because I adore him.

There are stories going around that beginning in Sept., when the new network season starts, Conan's going to be on 5 days a week again, no repeats on Mondays.

Should be great, if it's true.

The Emmy's are being repeated on Bravo the next day, so I'll probably catch it then.

I'm so excited too! I love Conan and I'm more then happy that he will be hosting the Emmys. I remember last year I wished they asked Conan instead of Ellen, she was really awful.

Not sure if anyone here heard about this: My mom said she caught the tail end of an interview last week between Conan and Matt Lauer about the Emmys, and apparently Matt said something along the lines of "I'm not going to wish you good luck because of the things you said about Al." Does anyone know what happened? Was he just joking? I didn't see anything on the Today boards.

It was obviously in jest.

Just have to mention that Jarod Miller will be on the show on Wednesday night (it's supposedly new.) As funny as his segments are, I don't know if I can handle Conan ripping on him every 5 seconds.

Great job by Conan in the Emmys. I only watched the intro and it was hilarious. "To catch a predator" Dateline parody was classic.

I have to agree with Donald Trump on the tattoo thing. I hate tattoos as well and being an artist I think 100% of the tattooes look horrible. Maybe if people choose some better art than the skulls or daggers and stuff it might be better.

But Conan had a good point about lower back tattoos on women being sexy. I'm not sure, it looks good on some people but it makes you a bit of a sheep.

I think the only tattoo I like is Michael Scofield's on Prison Break. Because it serves a function.

I'm a big non-fan of Trump's, so you could've knocked me over with a feather (but please don't ;o)) when he said something I agree with! There goes my whole worldview.

I don't share Conan's love of lower back tattoos, though. Besides, all I was thinking of during that was the fairly recent SNL gross-out ad satire on the subject. Ewwww...

I genuinely hope that Conan does some sort of Steve Irwin tribute on Tuesday's show. He was one of my favorite guests, and Conan genuinely looked like he liked the guy.

I loved that clip where Steve was showing Conan how to wrestle a blow-up crocodile in a kiddie pool and Conan went nuts and started slamming it down onto the stage.

I did too. It's remembering that episode that makes me the saddest about Steve's death. I didn't watch any of his cable shows so that was the most vivid memory I had of him, on Late Night.

Did anyone see the new announcement/commercial? It said that Conan is going to be all-new on Mondays, starting September 18th.

Oh,yay! That is definitely good news for me. I've always hated him taking Monday off. It took years for Johnny Carson to get to that point, so I never understood why Conan started doing that halfway through his run.

I had mentioned it earlier that there was a rumor going around that there was going to do the show 5 days with no Monday repeat. Guess it was true.

I loved the Band Survivor yesterday. When Conan said they were going to divide up into the Caucasian group and African-American group, I started laughing. Six white guys against one black guy, and he's the bass player. And his deadpan look was perfect.

I'm disappointed to find out that Triumph's Comic-Con escapade is an nbc.com exclusive. Would've loved to see it on the main show.

And I'm not sure if anyone remembers or knows what I'm talking about, but there was this one sketch from 6 years ago where Joel Godard announces this Clash of the Titans thing where two cutout heads of major personalities (i. e. Bill Gates, Donald Trump, etc.) chomp out a pile of cash (and subsequently pancakes) before colliding each other in a huge explosion. I'd love to find a video copy of that, but it's so damn obscure apparently. I remember it was on the same episode with the NBC peacock showing an upcoming clip of Daddio which ended up being a clip from the Matrix.

I always wondered why he did that. I am a bit surprised he is going back to 5 days a week as a matter of fact. Maybe he will do like Letterman and tape the Friday another night.

Did anyone see last night's show when Conan did that bit about someone's MySpace page? Then Pender sang a song about the couple.

The woman, Yooli, looked a little pissed at the song, but her boyfriend seemed to enjoy it.

I liked that Myspace bit. It gave Conan a chance to just make funny comments, instead of having something written about before hand.

The last two episodes have been really good guestwise I think.

The best part about the show was the fact that the show "became a man" last night; I'd love to know who came up with that idea.

I loved the MySpace bit too. I always love it when girls look awesome wear tight T-shirts.
