Hee! Actually that's happened to me many, many times over my years of watching this show. I'm used to seeing Eden having to do spazztastic things, but this was the first time it's happened with Olga. My prayer is that the whole lot of them were righteously drunk before filming. God knows I wish I were drunk while watching.

Okay, now that this Asscicle storyline seems to be winding down, I just want to take this opportunity to vent my frustration on how LONG it fucking took. Almost six months. That's about four months too long. For example, ATWT. They just had a murder mystery come about in the last week of December and the killer was revealed today. Wham bang boom. Granted, that's a little fast and I would have been fine with another month of investigation but (going back over to AMC) SIX MONTHS?! I'm so glad this is almost over. It made me miss Proteus at times.

Damn, was Lena that bad? Elaine? For real? At least Elaine was intentionally funny. Why are they doing this to Lena? Why can't they just leave Maggie and Bianca to the stupid shit and ugly-ass "youthful" clothes? Whyyyyyy? Speaking of clothes, what horrors did Punisher inflict upon Lena today? Did she at least retain some dignity?
WORD, kariyaki. I really don't care who killed Asscicle. Never did. And if those previews are any indication, the big 'reveals' may be as cheesy as the demonic baby with Michael's head in the crib scenes. It's past time to leave this portion of the storyline behind.

2deadcows, Olga had on a dark, deep blue top--the color looked gorgeous on her. Her hair's a bit too long, though. And I didn't know anyone still danced the macarena...I had to snicker when Bianca woke up from her nightmare and Maggie crashed into Lena in her rush to get to Bianca first. Lena, next time just raise your foot and stomp her flat.
Nuts, the spoilers were a little off in the timing. Oh well, Monday should be fun. I certainly wasn't expecting First Evil Assicle to pull a Carrie move. I actually like it, though, because it means that he's actively taunting everyone in their nightmares. It's not just the subconscious of Erica, Kendall, et al tormenting them. Assicle was a sick S.O.B., so the torture he devises ought to be interesting. For some reason I was bizarrely amused at his complaining in the previews of "I'm not going to let you get away with what you did to me" or whatever. Maybe because it's such vintage, typical Michael. Mikey, if you hadn't raped Bianca and then lied about it, you'd at least still be alive. Good to know he's still a weasel.
And word, kariyaki, to the murder SL dragging out too long. It started off really strong--I just adored the first two weeks in particular--and then it lost steam. First off, it took too long for the body to be found, and second off, it took too long for Kendall to be arrested, and third off, it took too long for the trial to start. Hopefully the trial will go pretty quickly, and it could be rather entertaining, what with Judge Lampert, Livia, Kendall, Forehead DA, and Tarzan.
But Proteus, OTOH, had me bored from day one. It didn't help that a lot of the characters involved were ones I despised. I so don't miss Mateo's fingerpointing.
Oh, and while Kendall looked great in her half-nude state, I have to admit it was sort of spoiled for me because I was wondering why she had the wrong leg thrown over Ryan. It looked dreadfully awkward for Alicia.

Yeah, I'm actually working on Wednesday's recap right now and I have this little sidebar going about how much I'm going to love the trial even though I normally hate them on soaps. With the fire of a thousand suns.

Speaking of Lena, I did find it rather amusing that she researched the 'entertainment', right down to the funkadelic, hip cat speak. Yeah, it might have been awful, but it reminded me of the good ol' days of Lena and her anal little "Lianca does Europe" itinerary. (Hmm, that sentence sounds oddly suggestive despite being a non-Kinks sentence. Huh. Not intentional, folks.) I still don't quite get what they're doing with the Maggie part of the triangle. Being irritating doesn't seem to be making Bianca notice Maggie except to tell her to shut up or, at best, include Maggie whenever she happens to think of it. Lena got in a dig or two though. Hee! Poor Maggie, no one wuvs you.
Almost six months.
I hadn't realized it had been that long. Wow. I guess it was even more drawn out because they kept taking those week long breaks (for 'splosions and hitmen) from moving the murder plot on at all.

Which brings me to something that's been bugging the hell outta me. Eden, and I know at this point it is highly unbelievable, can actually dance. I know because I've seen her do it at an appearance. (And by 'I', I mean a 'friend'. 'Cause *I* certainly wouldn't time visiting my dear friends in NYC around soap events. Nope, not me.) So, given my friend's (who is *not* me) intel, I can only speculate that Bianca's lack of dancing ability must be some weird acting choice. Or that Eden's downing some X at her appearances. Something, man.

Hee. Yeah, Lena's definitely making a play for territory. Now that Bianca's staying in town, what with her short-term lease things are much more up in the air. She can't stay in that studio with Maggie and a baby, and Lena knows it. That said, I won't be terribly surprised if Bianca moves in with Kendall instead--all Kinks jokes aside, people! She isn't ready to live with Lena, she sure as hell doesn't want to live at Erica's even when they are on good terms, and she won't want to live alone either. Factor in that Mommy!Kendall--er, Auntie!Kendall will want as much time as possible with the baby anyway, and I can see her insisting Bianca move in with her for a while. That'd be amusing because they could snark on each other's dates. All this is, of course, assuming that La Kane doesn't pull some baby switch shit that negates Bianca needing to move anywhere.

I also know that many times dancing scenes are actually taped with no music, so that the dialogue will record. Soaps don't do dubbing, so it's not an option the way it is with films where they can just bring the actors in the studio to record any lines that didn't come across clearly when they did the scenes originally. So that could explain the bad dancing of Eden, Olga and Liz as well.

I was in on the conference call where that was suggested and it cracked our shit up so hard it HAD to go in. It ended up in a giftbox from Lianca Fans Unite. They gave it to her at the Aug. AMC fan luncheon. Eden roared with laughter, apparently.

Re: the above mentioned Valentine's Day Tad the Cad promo. ALL of the scenes they're showing are from the Fan Fantasy Day last year. Dare I to hope that they show it to us yet again? True, I forgot about Kendall living across from Michael and was just thinking about how she seems to have plenty of room in her condo, since I don't think it's ever been stated specifically that the condo's just one bedroom (at the very least it's bigger than the studio, but I would think there's at least a smaller second room off the hall too). But it must bug Binks a little, now that I think about it, because Kendall always visits her instead of the other way around.

I agree, Maggie's been pushing Lena, so Lena's pushing back, and doing a much better job of it than Maggie. Of course, it helps that she's a lot subtler about it. In particular, she doesn't contradict Bianca when Bianca tries to include Maggie, instead she throws her own insincere invitation in. So right now Bianca thinks the problem is entirely on Maggie's end, and she doesn't want to dig into it too much, not that Maggie would tell her the truth anyway. Hee.
Maggie uses a sledgehammer to make a place for herself in Binks' life (which never goes over well with Bianca). Lena goes the "water" route...she just sort of pours herself into every open crack she can find. Soon Bianca's probably going to feel like she's living with two people.

Lena knows to give Bianca all the initiative re: physical contact of any kind. She waits very patiently. Naggie, on the other hand, is all insecure and pushy and going to "boil the bunny" if they execute this triangle.
I agree that there is no way in hell the Nagster can outclass Lena or ever look like a secure woman in her spectacular, if occasionally dorky, presence.

So she has to be irritated so that we can see something's definitely up with her, and so we can see she's even wondering herself why she's so irritated about Lena, but since Bianca is still way too busy with everything else, it's just simmering irritation for now and no true recognition even on Maggie's part of what's going on. After all, AMC can't do a triangle when the person being fought over is sitting in court holding her other girlf--er, sister's hand.

Heather? Anyway, I would like to see Lianca live together...but not right now. For one thing, I'm really happy that Bianca isn't of the mindset "I'm pregnant, so I might as well get married now." I totally thought that's where the pregnancy SL would go, that it'd be a lesbian cliche from start to finish--especially when Lena hauled out those commitment rings. But instead Lena's not that interested in having children, and Bianca's not rushing to wed...I like it. I want her to get back together with Lena for the right reasons and at the right pace, not because she knows that with a baby, her life would be easier with a partner. And Bianca seems to be doing just that, taking her time, making sure that it's right.
I remembered my favorite line of the day--Adam to Mary when she was telling him about choking: "Go towards the light, Mary. Go towards the light." Hee. DC's delivery just killed on that one.

Ah, I can dig that. I guess I'm just wondering what Maggie's hook ultimately will be, if this does end up being an actual romantic triangle. In the beginning, I was pretty convinced that the true intention of the triangle would be Maggie the jealous bestfriend, which is what most of what we've seen of the triangle initially supported. Then they went and showed Maggie fantasizing about Binks and her tank top and had Lena call Maggie on her possible romantic feelings toward Binks. That's where I'm getting puzzled. As you've said, Maggie doesn't seem to have any weapons in her meager arsenal to make her a proper rival to Lena in the war for Binky's affections. It doesn't help that Bianca hasn't displayed anything even approaching anything romantic towards Maggie. Which, even though Bianca's still recovering and a very busy girl, would be easy enough to do.
I mean, so is this going to be a romantic triangle or just a patch of weirdness on Maggie's part before she hops the next train to boyville? And if it *is* going the romantic route, what possible trumpcard does Maggie have that would vie with Lena, much less let her win? Even in the Kendall/Aidan/Ryan debacle, I can see why Kendall's chasing Ryan. Unfortunately. She seems to have a passion and love for the dolt (that I sooooo wish she'd snap out of) but Binks/Lena/Maggie? I. Don't. Get. It.
Anyway, I would like to see Lianca live together...but not right now.

really don't want them playing house yet. For all the reasons you stated and because I don't want all of the interesting issues they have to be choked to death in domestic bliss. Sadly, I fear that if they were together and happyhappyhappy, that would be the end of what makes them so viable now. Plus, one of them would probably die a horrible death immediately. McT, ya know, wouldn't stand for happiness. I would actually love to see Lianca date again for awhile.

Speaking of Lesbian Mafia, I was asked if I planned on recapping "The L Word" and my gut reaction was - yeah, so the rest of the lesbian population can take out a contract on my head. Sweet.

The quadrangle would involve a guy for Naggie to work out her sexual frustration on. Word is that it's a relative of Ryan but NOT his brother Braden, the rapist. That pretty much just leaves them creating a whole new character because Ryan doesn't have any other previously established male relatives. Probably a cousin or something.

I agree that living together doesn't necessarily mean happy, but in Lianca's case it probably would be an excuse to shuffle them permanently to the backburner under the guise of domestic bliss. I think AMC would be very reluctant to have any problems in the relationship once Bianca actually starts living with someone who'd be a second mother to her baby. No thanks. The fact they fell in love very quickly and Lena's been mentally picking out china patterns since May is, I think, quite enough of a nod to the U-Haul cliche. Throw in the baby and I'd be on overload.
And,
CKD, I'm notorious for never dating anyone more than twice, because I think three dates is a relationship and I'm a commitment-phobe. (Once is just once, twice is coincidence, three is a definite pattern...and therefore something to avoid.) I do admit that if Eden were gay I would probably change that policy, but since she's not, I have an excuse to never commit. Bwah.

Although I quite like Jerica, I still do not need to see post-coital bed scenes.
Aside from JR and Boobe, I loved the scenes at the Chandler mansion, with the women congregating in one room and the men in the other. I loved Mary's matter-of-factness about how, in addition to talking behind other's backs, she also enjoys eavesdropping. Anna Stuart rocks my world.
I loved the last scene, in all its soaptacular glory. Totally cheesy, of course, but Michael "rising from the grave", along with the storm, and E/K/B's nightmares set a nice, eerie tone for the next episode. It was kind of Days of Our Lives-ish, but in a good way, as I've always thought that Days did Big! Horrifying! Moments! very well.

Days used to, anyway. I was watching today's ep of that show and giggling at the supposed-to-be Big! Horrifying! Moments! But then it's hard to take a tiger at a funeral seriously.
Anyway, a more complete list of dreamers: Michael haunts the dreams of the principal players, including Kendall, Simone, Adam, Palmer, Lena, Bianca, Jack, Erica, Reggie and Boyd.
So, from what I remember of who was running around that night who are real suspects, that leaves David and Maggie out (and of course the happily late and unlamented Carlos), but the spoiler does say "including", so they may be dreamers too. It's not really necessary to have them if David was with Erica the entire time and if Maggie seeing Kendall and Boyd dragging out Michael's body was all of note that she saw that night. But we don't know how much the nightmares are going to entail actual flashbacks to that night and how much will just be Michael tormenting everyone. I'm still amused for some reason by Michael whining over his fate, since he brought it on himself. Which reminds me, I will say that I thought Liz did a pretty good job with the "he got dead real fast" line today. It got a smirk out of me.

Am I the only one who found the Lena dancing scenes adorable? Yes, it was embarassing, but in a "I'll make an absolute ass of myself if it will just make you smile" sort of way that just made me a little mushy. Haven't any of you ever done something embarassing in front of someone you love just to make them laugh?
And, while Lena could make it look adorable, had Maggie done it, it would have been anything but.
Anyone else catch Winifred eyeing up Officer Sean? I'm starting to like Winnie lately, now that they're letting her be a person and not just the maid.
Tad, David, Adam, and Palmer? Sign me up for an hour of that every day. That was just good times.
Since I'm becoming reluctantly resigned to the pending demise of Timone, may I offer a suggestion? Since she's already had a few dates with ADA Tarzan, can they recast him with Nolan North and pair them up? NN and TI would be hysterical together.

I'm thinking the "simmering" thing is a way to gauge audience reaction to Maggie "turning" gay out of the blue. This weeks spoilers say something about Maggie thikning she has romantic feelings for Bianca but doing nothing until after trial. My guess is may TPTB want to let the audience write in to express it's feelings on this development. Judging from most message boards lately, the audience ain't gonna buy it.

JR was always a little shit. He was spoiled bratty kid who drank, sold drugs, had no respect for anyone and invoked the Chandler name to bail him out of trouble (which was frequently). He basically had the same attitude of I hate my father and renounce him and disrepect him but I'll use his name and money and influence to help me out that he has now. Tad and Dixie did much hand-wringing over him but Adam kept bailing him out of trouble instead of letting him take his lumps. To be fair, the writers were trying to show the consequences of letting a teenager run wild.
I could buy JR now if they had him show some anguish or unhappiness or uncertainty about his situation. He would be a much more sympathetic character than he is just showing this never-ending hostility.

KerleyQ -- I love your idea of recasting ADA Tarzan with Nolan North; that would be so much fun to watch. I also loved the Adam, Palmer, David and Tad interchange; we need more of them and less of Boobe and JR!
Is it just me or does anyone else think that Jacob Young is one of the worst actors on this show? I just roll my eyes and FF whenever he is on.
Naked Kendall was very hot!

Jacob Young is generally one of the worst actors on any show he appears in, it's just a knack and he's got it in spades. AMC has cast Neve Campbell's brother Christian for an unnamed role, it might be pervy's attempt to get the ho-yay competition with Kinks fired up.

After all of my pre-emptive grousing yesterday over BoogieFever!Lena,
KerleyQ, I have to admit to busting a gut laughing once I finally steeled myself to watch. Lena doing the Hustle all by her lonesome? That shit was funny. And not as embarrassingly cringetastic as I feared. But the follow-up Hustle and Macarena scenes dialed up the old wince-o-meter.
Thinks I liked:
* Lena's "wait for it..."
* Maggie’s “I know what it means. Why is it coming out of your mouth?” Bwah! and Word. Lena should never use slang, even in jest.
* The dead silence following Maggie’s “Okay, I’m hep.” Hee!
* Mary snarking how the girls were fighting over the man ‘scraps’ in PV.
* Anytime Tad rags on Palmer and Adam about taking their vaudevillian act on the road. And the thing with Palmer’s dyed eyebrows. Hee.
Speaking of ‘snark,’ aside from this website and a few other related sites, I’ve never really seen or heard the term used elsewhere (on TV or in RL). But I think I heard it twice on AMC yesterday and maybe on a few other occasions too. Am I just pitifully behind the times or is the glory that is TWoP spreading throughout this land?

In my defense...hee...I'm not a commitment-phobe, on the contrary. Right now I'm enjoying that whole "I'm coming by later" thing 'cause I never got to do it with this girlfriend since she lived in CA and I'm in D.C. - but enough about me.
So Lena will be dreaming of ZombieAss, too? Huh. That makes the murderer central canvas a bit more interesting, though I'm almost positive she didn't do it. Still, nice to know she's included in the nightmares. Wonder if Maggie will be there, too? It is a nightmare after all.
ETA: the quadrangle thing came out of the SOW chat and it's not speculation at the SS. Well, yeah, they've speculated that bit to death but, apparently, there will be a fourth person in the LAMB saga. LAMB? I need to stop the acronym crap.

No, you're not, all snarking aside (hey, we're a TWoP board, it's what we do...). It was actually very reminiscent of when Aidan was mugging around to get Kendall to smile, not to mention AMC giving the director an excuse to shoot Olga moving around in tight clothing. Which reminds me, in between hysterical laughs, Bianca was definitely checking Lena out.

Well, we already know that
that it is going to be a triangle, and then a quadrangle. AMC is three-four weeks ahead in taping, so the trial and murder mystery should be all wrapped up at this point and the show concentrating on other SLs now. I think Maggie decides to do nothing yet because she actually is able to utilize the few brain cells she has to realize that Bianca will not welcome this development, especially at this time, and that Bianca's very much in love with Lena. I don't think in AMC's view that Maggie turning bisexual (she likes guys enough that she can't be 100% gay) is out of the blue at this point--we've had months of Maggie/Bianca, and any soap watcher knows where something like that could potentially head, so they've had plenty of time to hear from the audience, not that McTrash is one for writing story based on what the audience wants to see, anyway.
I actually don't object to a triangle as long as it's not a true triangle, where we'll be asked to believe that Bianca might become seriously torn over Maggie vs. Lena. It's doing wonders for Lena's character--nice to see the manipulation and subtle bitchiness back--and it is amusing to watch Maggie's patheticness. Bonus: When Bianca does find out what's going on with Maggie, it should put an end to the Bianca/Maggie living arrangements.
