Oh sure, you think it's all fun and games, but it's a slippery slope leading straight to a very bad place (and I don't mean hell). Because it all starts innocently enough with Kinks, but before you know it you're shipping Ridget on B&B and think GH's Cousin Lovin' was a great idea. Kinks, the gateway drug.

Cannot. Type. Laughing. Too. Hard.

Just you wait, bluedevilblue. One of these days I'll get my act together and get the setup necessary to transfer videotape to DVD, and then I'll send you all the best Kinks scenes...

The third pic is a great one of the two of them. Bianca has the greatest expression.

Thank goodness tomorrow will be a new ep with Kinks, huh? I actually hooked up my new Tivo today (in between fruitless searches for pre-explosion shaggably-delicious Binks screen caps) and have successfully tested recording several programs, but am feeling a little paranoid anyway.

I will not give into the Kinks, Black Knight, not when I have lines like this from Rebecca and Alicia -

I like to call her Luscious.
It took us awhile to warm up to each other, but one day, we had a long talk in my dressing room and that was it.
I remember thinking, "She's so real. I feel so comfotable with her." And since then, we've gotten more and more comfortable....
I woke up thinking, "How is Luscious going to get to work?" I just knew she was trudging through the snow in sandals, my little Swamp Girl.
But I've shared so many things with her, sometimes I laugh because I know that she knows all these things about me.
You know, I was pretty guarded when I first got here. If you'd asked me when I started if I thought I'd find the kind of friendship I have with Rebecca, I would probably have said no. But you know what? It's really, really nice to have.
When we look in each other's eyes, it opens up this well inside me. I get touched, and I think she does, too.

I can't stand the thought of Kendall cheating on Greenlee and with her own sister and Greenlee's cousin.

And kariyaki, those pics are fan photos, not publicity stills. Yet they are still all over each other.

On a more serious note, I really do hope that one day you all will get a real couple with chemistry (other than Madam, who based on the one kiss I saw, RAWK). Although I recognize that Cam Mathison is a huge obstacle to that goal. But you deserve better than to have to ship subtext, incestual or otherwise.

Well, bluedevilblue, there is a difference between Alicia/Rebecca and Kendall/Greenlee, y'know... ;-) Now if Kendall and Greenlee had ever said anything like that to each other...but Kinks gets all the passionate declarations of love, and the romantic music, and such. And I know you wouldn't be able to resist the boathouse scene in which Kendall started teaching Bianca how to lie convincingly. And Bianca learned in about five seconds flat after an adorably awful beginning. Sniff. She really is a Kane!

Anyway, it's the illicit element that makes Kinks more hilariously fun to ship than Kenlee. Plus Kenlee has never gotten to be this blatant. Alicia/Rebecca, OTOH, are a different story. I'd say they're pinging the gaydar, but the gaydar actually blew up into a kajillion pieces about a third of the way into their SOD interview. Snerk.

But it's the best of all worlds if we get Lianca AND Kinks AND Kenlee AND Kaidan...yum.

I'm glad you're enjoying Kinks. I'm sure I'd enjoy the sisterly bonding (not in that way), but I really don't enjoy incesty vibes on soaps* and, as charming as both actresses are, I doubt Kinks would be an exception. Add in the pregnancy and that the father is Bianca's rapist and Kendall's ex-lover. Total buzz kill. But I'm not out to kill your all's buzz. I swear. Kinks may not be my thing, but your Kinks posts, OTOH, are hilarious and I enjoy them immensely. Although if that sled gets much more crowded . . .

Don't get me started on that interview, bluedevilblue. It has actually become an on-going joke between my bestfriend and me. We'll be in the middle of a conversation about Kenlee and he'll say, "See, I'm outdoorsy." And we laugh our asses off.

Right after this line, Rebecca starts laughing, and it is my guess that she was trying to shut Alicia up because she was being too honest. It was as if she were saying, "HA, HA, shut the fuck up! And that reminds me a funny, more appropriate story. . ." Oh. Those. Two.

Still love my Kinks, though. Ain't a ship in this wide wurl that can their place in my heart. They make me giggle. They make me blush. They make me glad to be alive. Ah, Kinks.

Yeah, Eden's crib got messed up from 9/11. I read somewhere that the two share the same dressing room too but maybe they gave Eden her own now that she is working so much. So that much close proximity guarantees a better nickname, dammit.

I just got around to reading the Alicia/Rebecca interview that kariyaki linked. Yep, that was extraordinarily gay. Those two are adorable. I wonder how long till we get a Kinks interview? (You know Pervy is working on it.) Not that it will ping as hard as the A/R one, but I'd like to see how well Alicia and Eden get along. Why couldn't a TWoPer have won that dinner with Kink's portrayers? Dammit.

Too true, bledevildear! Truthfully, I am only into Kinks because of the estrangement of Kenlee. "Kenlee- Now with 90% more Ryan!" Meh! I really do wish Kenlee were the lesbian storyline on the show. SUPERCOUPLE! I would not miss Lianca at all under that specific scenario. It won't happen, of course. So, I'll keep watching for Lianca and Subtext-Shipping until I get it.

BTW- FYI- Adam's scenes with Dorian Lord also were crackly goodness. Everything else about the crossover is an eyeroll.

Yes, that reminds me--for anyone interested in looking at the rest of the photos that Eden took, SSW Pics and click on the "Check it out" link on that page. The first nine pics are the ones Scott Clifton and Dan Gauthier took, and the other 30 are all Eden's. There are some really adorable shots in there, including a "leading up to" of the pic that I posted before of Eden/Alicia/Rebecca/Cam, which I actually like better because it's a candid shot instead of a posed one, and a pretty hot one of Eden sandwiched between Aiden and Cam (who's doing bedroom eyes instead of guppy eyes, and so he looks rather sexy for a change). And the one of Eden posing with a standee of Finola cracks my shit up.

Aw, Black Knight, those pics are cute! Eden was one pic taking fool. I liked the candid shot of her, Cam, and Kenlee also. It looked like someone said (or did) something reeeeeeeal interesting from Eden's expression. Heh. Liked the sandwich one with Aiden and Cam, too. *rowr* Nice to know that Eden took the opportunity to use the camera as a reason to snuggle with all the pretty people. You go girl!

Hmmmmmm, Lianca vs Kenlee, that's a fun debate waiting to happen. I think Kenlee would be more fun but I'm a sucker for Lianca's intensity level. I believe that Kenlee is way better at lighthearted moments than Lianca (maybe because Lianca 'fun' moments always have horrid dialogue) and Kenlee do that sexual tension sniping at each other thang, both pluses, but Lianca would hand Kenlee their ass on a platter when it comes to serious angsty stuff. When Lianca's on (meaning a good intense scene) nobody does it better. All JMO, of course. Now, Kenlee vs Kinks? I won't go there since bluedevilblue put us in a 'time out' but I definitely have an opinion. Oh yes, I do. ;)

So. Freaking. Torn.

Trying to decide between Greendall and the SisYay! would require too much agonizing and sleepless nights. That said, seeing the AM/RB interview from SOD (it was so long ago; was that really me who posted it, onewomanshow?) might be enough to break the deadlock. They are simply too adorable for words! LOVED the nicknames and discussion of ghetto-fab apparel. If Kelly Ripa has Hope & Faith, ABC should obviously greenlight a Laverne & Shirley-esque sitcom for them called Lil' Bud & Swamp Girl?

Her website seems to have gone through quite a facelift, at least since the last time I was there -- a year ago, I think. Success and fame certainly agree with her. She may turn out to be a soap "lifer" (as was discussed a few days ago), but part of me really wants to see her succeed in other TV shows and possibly movies. Then again, Alicia is probably 75% of the reason why I still bother to watch. One would think that ABC would try everything in the world to keep her on as long as possible. I can't imagine that there are many stellar actresses out there who also happen to have an uncanny resemblance to Susan Lucci.

Now see, the nice thing about Kinks (well, one of the many, many nice things) is that since they're sisters, they can always be a subtext couple, no matter who the sisters are hooking up with elsewhere. I mean, theoretically Kenlee could hook up, but that isn't an issue with Kinks, pervy brainstorming jokes aside. So we'll never have to choose between Kinks and Lianca, Kinks and Kenlee...Kinks will always be there regardless. As long as McTrash doesn't estrange the sisters, anyway. Step away from the Kinks, McTrash.

Kenlee and Lianca strike me as two very different types of couples. Kenlee would always be breaking up and making up. Now I do know Lianca's broken up like three times, but there were some one-time external circumstances. While they certainly have communication issues, they're a pretty amiable couple. When they fight, which is rare in itself, it's over something major. Now Greenlee and Kendall, being Greenlee and Kendall, would fight constantly just because they're that way. So, in short, I think it's kinda apples and oranges, and very much up to what people's personal preferences for couples are (such as my being a sucker for con-falls-for-their-mark romances). So I'd go with Lianca, personally, because with the exception of Jake/Paulina on AW, couples who are always fighting get old for me fast. Offscreen, of course, there's no question that Alicia and Rebecca are the supreme HoYay couple. But I also happen to like Rebecca much better than I like Greenlee, generally. Greens has never been a true fave of mine (even before her regression of the last few months) and that's always colored my opinion of her with Kendall, the other Fusion girls, her men, and so on.

The FinFans call that "Flat Finola", and I understand they have a smaller version and are giving one to Eden. Heh!

Yup, Eden is actually holding the smaller standee while posing next to the full-size one. Hee.

Nice to know that Eden took the opportunity to use the camera as a reason to snuggle with all the pretty people. You go girl!

Snerk. I noticed that too. There were some rumors about her and Scott Clifton, actually, because they went off and had a private dinner at one point. I know Eden had a boyfriend last year and brought him along to one of these SSW things, but I don't know if she's still seeing him. (He was decent-looking, but not near cute enough for her. Not that I'm biased or anything...ahem.)

Word. I always enjoy Erica/Greens sharing scenes. Greenlee is sooooooo very Erica. Tomorrow with Kendall and Erica should be good.

Yeah, I'm realizing the truth of that myself. I had previously thought that Greenlee was in the Kendall category, where you could plug them into any situation and the character would work. Not true. Now I see just how conditional my Greenlee love is. Rebecca, on the other hand, never loses my devotion. Hopefully, McT can suss out a way to get Greens going again, because right now, other than Jack/Greens, Erica/Greens, and the hope of Kenlee, Greens is just getting on my nerves. This Greenlee/Ryan stuff looks to be painful.

Oh, and for the people who haven't seen today's ep yet, turn your volume waaaaaaaay down. Cam is bellowing more than usual.

Jerks. Whatever scheme the doctor came up with can't have been so delicious that it needs to be kept under wraps like this, thereby denying us Kinks.

It looks like, from the PBP, that the Erica/Greenlee stuff are the only scenes worth watching. I love Kendall, but I'm not sure I have the energy for the Ryan/Kendall merry-go-round, especially as even though she's technically wrong in that Ryan's not planning to betray her with Greenlee, she's fundamentally right in that he will. But it will all be set up to be her fault, he got fed up because she couldn't trust him, so she did this to herself blah blah blah.

The PBP butchered Erica's line that showed she knows Kendall's omnisexual, by the way (cut it off at the "master manipulator" part). I went back and re-read Friday's PBP to see how I could've missed the infamous "our girl" and it'd actually been left out altogether. Snerk. I was surprised there wasn't a repeat of the Kendall-roasting that occurred when she called Bianca's baby the Kendallette a few weeks ago.

Eden talks about Friday's episode in SOW. Jackson will also be having a nightmare along with the previously-reported Kendall, Bianca, Erica and Reggie. It was a 16-hour day of taping for Eden, and Wil deVry was in 45 scenes--every scene of every nightmare. Sounds like it should be a pretty stylish reveal.

I had previously thought that Greenlee was in the Kendall category, where you could plug them into any situation and the character would work. Not true. Now I see just how conditional my Greenlee love is.

I think Kendall has a certain charm that Greenlee sometimes lacks (I'm talking about the characters, not the actresses), that makes some of her scenes go down easier. For one thing, there's usually more of the funny involved. Greenlee's just so humorless sometimes.

I think part of it may also be that Kendall actually does care about some others more than herself--Erica and Bianca for instance--even if she can sometimes descend into obsession over it. I don't get the sense that Greenlee cares about anyone more than herself.

One more key difference between the two for me--Greenlee is generally bitchy to everyone, whether enemies, friends or strangers who've had the misfortune to cross her path. Kendall can certainly be bitchy too, but she usually has a reason.

While Greenlee's certainly become significantly worse in the last couple of months, I think these particular traits have been there all along, and again it's why I have much more Kendall-love than I do Greenlee-love. At best, Greenlee amuses me, and she doesn't do near enough of that.

I can actually understand Susan not necessarily wanting a Jack/Erica pairing and trying to stir up support for a David/Erica pairing. There's a feel of Jerica being Erica's last relationship--i.e. if she marries Jack, she'll stay married, because he's the right one for her and so on. It was written that way during FEM and while McTrash's toned it down, there's still very much an element of that. Of course, a Jack/Erica marriage also opens her up to good story with the battling Kane-Montgomerys, which is why I'm so thrilled about it--I couldn't care less about Jerica as a couple on their own--but since Erica's identity and SLs for so long have been largely wrapped up in her merry-go-round of men, I can see why Susan might have a problem with it.

I mean, we can look at it and say, "Erica, it's about damn time to settle down, you can't keep this up forever", but Susan can look at it and see a possible transitioning of Erica from leading lady into matriarch. Already she no longer dominates her daughters' storylines as she once did. She's still an important part of their SLs, certainly, but it's no longer All. About. Erica. either. She isn't the only or even biggest reason why Bianca's been hiding her pregnancy, she isn't the first priority in Kendall's life anymore, and so on.

Now, if Erica were to become interested in David again, then she gets two men fighting over her in an Erica-centric SL. The thought bores me to tears because we've seen it so often, but it'd be a confirmation that she's still a leading lady, romantically.

Juan Pablo is on the way out! YIPPEE SKIPPEE!!!! Complete and total waste of space--he was cute for a day or two, but the character is worthless. Let Pablo leave Pie Balley to go chase after the "Casaba" family or whatever they are called. Leave the Mob crap to GH!

Didn't see the show today due to governatorial inauguration thankyouforelectingmeIpromisenottorobyoublind speech. Doesn't sound like I missed very much though. And I'm hoping that there was no Mike Ass on today's ATWT, cause my tapeth spilleth overeth.
