I don't know if I can say I like JY as JR but he definetly reminds me of Adam in alot of ways so that's a start.

I actually give a lot of props to the casting dept. They've got Adam and JR looking related, the Kane women all resembling each other, Babe and Krystal looking like a real mother and daughter and now Anita as Maria's mini-me. It's quite eerie.

Also WORD! to the poster that said Danielle has Greenlee's features. I've been completely distracted by the similarities.

I worry for the vets and think all this young newbie stuff is a reflection of Fron's vision of AMC as "Logan's Run".

I'd be more impressed with the casting department if they could do a better job at casting the young men. JR doesn't count because Jacob Young had made his mark on two other soaps and is less of a wild card. They lucked out with Aiden because he turned out to be a decent actor eventually but he was turning in some quite cardboard-like performances for a while before he warmed up. MaxAlex? Tomy? What's-his-name-that-plays-Jamie? Rehiring Cam? Feh. The fact that Christian Campbell seems to be a winner as Bobby gives me hope.

Ok, Ryan needs to back the fuck away from Kendall. A few days in Frankenbrows presence and Kendall is 'helpless' and can't do a thing without him there to be her savior. Excuse me while I go vomit.

It's torture watching Binks and Mimo bond because I know that Bianca is going to have her heart ripped out of her chest. It's inevitable. And on the other hand, I have started to like Babe and I am going to hate what this whole baby thing is going to do to her too when all the shit hits the fan.

Erica's scenes in the funeral parlor were good. It's was especially nice since we haven't seen Erica for some time and I had a chance to miss her diva-ness.

Gosh I love Aidan. I am so glad that he and Tad are working together. Now find a reason for Aidan to run around PV shirtless and the rating will surely rise.

My love/hate relationship with Adam is still intact. All is right with the world.

I like JY, really I do. He is all kinds of hot, but I hate his JR. Almost as much as I hate Babe but not quite as much as I hate Krystal. I just think the kid is a pompous asshat who really needs a square kick in the balls. Granted he should be an asshat as Adam Chandler numero 2, but everyone around him just thinks he's so great and such a nice guy when he is cleary a big fat jerk head. Adam Sr. is an ass, but because everyone calls him an ass, I like him. But everyone talking about the wonders that are Babe and JR make me hate the characters. Its an instinct. Hearing an soap female repeatedly referred to as brave and strong makes me want to reach through my tv and strangle their fictional bodies.

Even without any SisYay! today, Pervy sure made his presence known.

It's contrived, but it amused me that Greenlee was the only person who figured out where Bianca was without help. I know Bianca's estranged from her mother, but could Ryan and Kendall not take one minute off from mooning at each other to check out the penthouse where Bianca used to live? Honestly. Everybody's pretty sure Bianca's mentally unstable, but they're dead certain that she couldn't have forgotten about her feud with her mother, or changed her mind? It's spelled s-t-u-p-i-d, folks.

Oh, when Maggie had her little scene with Babe, did anyone else think she was going to challenge her to some kind of throw-down for the title of Bianca's Best Bud? What the hell was with that "Don't hate Bianca" crap? Babe has been an angel about the "kidnapping" of the child she's been convinced is her own. If Maggie wants to protect Bianca from Chandler wrath, she should go face off with the members of that family who are actually displaying hostility to poor Bianca.

Excerpt from 12 year old viewer commentary during yesterday's show, wherein JR's 180 funky upswept hair reversal was a complete and total distraction:

me: "Wow - were did the Elvis do come from?"

SO: "Maggie's fashion nazi was subbing in hair?"

I guess for me, the amount of hatred or love depends on what he is doing and who he is surrounded by.

Now onto Kendall. I have always enjoyed seeing her on my screen and would actually contemplate continuing to see AMC even after Olga left but I have a sick feeling that most of her screentime will be with Ryan...or thinking about Ryan...or needing Ryan to rescue her. Ugh! Thanks McTrash, for ruining every single character I loved! You have a tough and intelligent Lena blaming herself for everything wrong that happens to Binks. You have a usually-feisty Greenlee pining away for Ryan. You made a strong and independant Kendall always seeking out Ryan for help...and you keep torturing Bianca to the point where I'm thinking that Oak Haven might just be the right place for her. Thanks for undermining women and their intelligence just so you can pimp that bitchass Ryan.

Kryan is making me crazy. I'm sorry, but the Kendall we know and love...the Kendall that has sacrificed everything and pushed every other person away for the last 8 months would not be in the flippin boat house with Ryan. She. Would. Be. Looking. For. Bianca. Dammit!

**ETA: Another thing on Erica today...I actually believed she loved Kendall. "Years later, that child came back into my life so broken I could never put her back together again. She begs for love and then pushes it away." Awww.

I'm so glad I can go back to completely hating Krystal. Just from all of her scenes today of remembering all of the things poor Babe said, she absolutely knows that Tad is onto something. She's as bad as Adam right now. And that is saying something. On the other hand, I think I might be firmly on the Babe train. For good. Even with her being married to JR. I just love her.

Oh, Naggie, you are the last person I want to see trying to beg Babe not to hate Bianca. I don't think anyone thinks that Babe is going to hate Bianca any time soon. At least not until Bianca's and Babe's "baby" are found. You're useless. As always.

Poor Greenlee. Just another McTrash scene that I hate. I don't mind Greenlee figuring it out, or even Kendall being skeptical. What I hate is Greenlee being all docile about it, and giving up so easily. I'd rather her have it out with Kendall than slink off because of Frankenbrow, although it did make for a very powerfull last scene.

Oh, heck, I'm going to be bawling once again tomorrow. How many times is Kendall going to have to give this FALSE speech anyway? Three times? Ten times? It was beautiful and heartbreaking the first time, tomorrow I'll just be pissed, any more speeches, and I'll just be rolling my eyes and laughing at the stupidity.

Admittedly, I "watched" the episode from the other room, just listening to the audio but I heard that line. It struck me, not even seeing it. That is SO Kendall in a nutshell. And it illicited an 'awww' from me as well.

Damn, y'all. I can't stand the sadness of Bianca and Mimo. I'm a little crazy with those scenes. I can't take it, so I FF a little bit, and then I stop for a second to hear what she's saying, and then I FF again because it's too depressing. I need help.

God, the slow motion crap with Kendall and Ryan was absolutely horrible. It went on and on, didn't it? Or was I just so horrified that I thought it did? Because I swear it went on for like 15 minutes. I hate Ryan so much, and cannot take much more of the Ryan fluffing. Wasn't there some spoiler where he gets involved with the Erica in Vegas stuff, and goes to Vegas? Is this true, or did my hatred make me delusional? On the one hand I want this to be true to get him away from Kendall for a while, but on the other hand I don't want anymore Savior Ryan, Hero of Our Times.

I liked Erica today as well. I didn't even know I missed her, but I was glad to see her. Histrionics and all. Her comment about Kendall was really good.



That is so hilarious. He'll always be Pip to me now. I like JR with the baby, but I found him so ridiculous today trying to be angry and tough. It just doesn't work for me at all. Maybe part of it was those scenes were with Jamie and Jamie's about 2 feet taller than him.

I was watching Craig Kilborn last night -- okay, I was in another room and the sound was turned way up (sort of how I watch AMC these days, heh.). Anyway, there I was ignoring the teevee when I hear "...All My Children." So, after a momentary internal Squeee! (which doesn't make any sense given my current negativity towards AMC), I not-so-idly walked to the living room to see Kim Delaney (ex Jenny) sitting on Craig's guest chair and playing "5 Questions." Anyway, one of the questions was "Which one of these characters is not a real character on All My Children?" Two of the choices were Myrtle Fargate and Juan Pablow Iforgethisothertennames. I forgot the others. I think KD got the answer wrong. Heh.

Bianca then talks about family and says that includes Greenlee. Greenlee then talks about how she use to have an imaginary sister and is ready for a real sister and wants Bianca to be her sister.
Damn you, Kendall! You see what happens when you're too busy chasing and fluffing Asscake Ryan, your girlfister has to look elsewhere for some family lovin'! Greens is gonna get the goods and your stuck trying to duck his awning brow!

Gah! Today's show is killing me! Alicia and Eden are both doing absolutely phenomenal jobs.

The look on Kendall's face just now when Bianca was explaining to MiMo about how Auntie Kendall stood by her - she looked absolutely ravaged. I'm a mess right now. The scenes are absolutely heartbreaking.

Stealing a technique that seemed to work on the OLTL boards: MiMo is going to stay with Bianca.

Ryan, step away from Mimo and the Kinks! Back the fuck off already, and stop trying to insert yourself into everything.

Spoilers for next week

Monday - Greenlee and Reggie meet Jack at the airport and tell him about Bianca taking Bess from the hospital; Ryan and Kendall convince Bianca that Miranda is dead; Derek learns that Danielle had been staying with Reggie; Tad hacks into Joe's computer.

Tuesday - Bianca hands Bess back to Babe and admits she truly believed the baby was Miranda; Adam and JR are determined to keep Bianca away from Bess; Krystal confronts Paul about his possibly switching Babe and Bianca's babies; Ryan and Kendall grow closer.

Wednesday - Greenlee tells Ryan she wants to be part of her new family; Bianca believes she needs psychiatric help because she still feels as though Bess is Miranda; Tad convinces Joe to have a secret DNA test done to prove Bess' parentage.

Bad news, she makes an already painful scene excruciatingly painful. Bianca's so damn happy to have her GF and baby together and is being sweet enough to cause diabetes and it's freaking killing Kendall (and me). Even man-a-wood Ryan gets choked up.

A plus for you, Ginks have a rather yummy scene. Greenlee's all sitting close and giving Binks the eyes and Rebecca looks freakin HOT! *Rowr*

A plus for me, Binks totally dodges Greens "lets be sisters!" leanings. Hee! Bianca's taken, Greens. Man, the Kinks just hurt today. I want my mommy... I have more to say but it's hard to type while in the fetal position.

Sappy, those spoilers bring an ice-cold homicidal urge into my heart. I hate this storyline. I hate it so, so much. If the Krystal-fucks-with-the-DNA-test spoiler is true...I hope she gets caught and arrested and brought up on charges of something. Aiding and abetting a kidnapping or something. And gets put away for twenty years. And not let out on probation or given community service.

Absolutely the only worthwhile part of all this for me is the sweet Bianca/Greenlee stuff. I love them both to pieces, but that's just not enough of a payoff for all this Bianca-torture (paricularly since we get them significantly less often than we get Greenlee kissing up to Frankenbrow, which always make me want to go wash with lava soap).

Someone please spoil me! Should I just not watch this show for another few months, then come back to Binks and Mimo happiness? Or will it be more like 2 years?

I don't understand why they think we like this kind of stuff. Yes, painful torture of the emotional kind can be great, but not when it's just frustrating because we know it's not real or shouldn't be real.

That said, I like Babe so much more now, love Kendall in ways I thought I never could. And let me just brag a teensy bit and say when I did a short stint as a writer at SOD I actually got to interview MEK. Over the phone, granted, but he was a complete sweetheart. Love me some Tad.

I have been watching this show since 1977, and finally, I have had it.

I even wrote a complaint letter to the network - I have NEVER written a letter to a network before, but am so irate about this storyline.

I was feeling a little better when this week seemed to give some hope that everything would be resolved (at least as far as Bianca and Miranda). At this point I wish they hadn't even bothered with the Bianca gets her baby back story for the week. Makes me even madder - yet another opportunity to punish Bianca a little more.

Wow, today was all kinds of painful. Are they trying to rip my still beating heart out of my chest and pierce it with Kendall's stilleto?

I liked Greenlee trying to grab at the most coveted position of being Bianca's sister and how Bianca refused to let her hold the baby and waited for Kendall to have the first honors of holding Mimo. I also liked how when Greenlee was talking to Mary she said she considered the Kane-Montgomery's her family. We are well on our way to Kinkslee. I don't know if my TV can handle all that perviness at once.

Ryan has no place anywhere near Kendall or Bianca. I hate him. I hate how he sucks the independance and brain cells out of every woman he interacts with. I wish he would have run away from PV with Juan Pablo.

I can't believe how much my opinion of Babe has changed. I used to loathe her character and the way they shoved her down our throats when she first came on this show but now I just lurve her. The TPTB were smart to make her a friend of Bianca.

The only potentially good thing that will come out of Krystal switching the DNA results will be that someone will know for a fact that Bess is Miranda, and that probably means that this SL won't drag on for years. Up until now for all the characters including Bianca it's all been about gut feelings, but no real proof. Since Krystal is going to know the truth, I can't imagine her keeping this a secret for two years. The only way for McTrash to salvage Krystal's character after switching the DNA results, will be to show that Krystal feels extreme guilt for causing Bianca unneccessary suffering. Krystal has not been a cold, heartless character, and if now they have Krystal not feeling guilt or anything towards Bianca than her character will be unsalvagable. I imagine we'll get months of scenes of Krystal watching JR and Babe with Bess, and watching Bianca grieve, having the guilt eat away at her until she finally confesses or slips and says something that gives it away to someone, like Babe or Tad. Either that or Bessimo will get sick and need something that only Bianca can give her.

Do Soap Opera DNA tests ever turn out accurately?!? This is getting old.

All right, so I'm still buried at work (plus had a bout of food poisoning) that's made me fall a week behind in posts...but I just had to comment on today's ep:

The new subtext triangle of Kendall/Bianca/Greens has been making me giggle...but today was the best. Ginks and Kinks both -- but with the winner made very clear. Greenlee? No matter how you work those brown puppy eyes and subtext lines about wanting to be Bianca's sister and call her up 10 times a day (another clingy woman for Bianca! Binks, get a lawyer to draw up a timeshare plan, 'k, because you will never be able to juggle all your bitches otherwise), Kendall is the love of Bianca's life and Miranda's second mommy. Period. Our old friend Pervy Writer wasn't remotely subtle about it -- and mad props to Eden for snuggling against Alicia on the couch. Ah, Kinks maintext. *swoon*

In other news, Frankenbrow must die. I now blame the extension of this baby-switch on him, until Krystal fucks with the blood test, that is. If Bianca and Kendall were alone, maybe Bianca could get somewhere with Kendall (and no, I'm not just talking about brainstorming). Kendall already wants deep inside to have Bianca run off with the baby, which Bianca would never do because she knows the kid is hers, so some further talking and maybe Kendall would remember that she saw Bianca in Miranda's eyes.

And Cam Math still can't act being nice without also being condescending. I really wanted Kendall to smack the shit out of him when he "graciously" told Bianca that he understood how she'd gotten to this place. Shut the fuck up, Ryan. Bianca needs to apologize to Babe and JR (even though the baby really is hers and she didn't hurt them intentionally), but she doesn't need to apologize or justify herself to you, asshole. And Monday's scenes with Frankenbrow and Bianca? Should be a complete joke. It's lucky for Cam that Eden isn't the type to showily stomp all over lesser coworkers, but he's still going to look totally out of his depth opposite her.

I'll try to catch up on the week of snark this weekend, by the way--miss you all!

Dude, I freakin' loved that. Besides the Kinksy-ness of it, it was a spot on move. It's in Greenlee's nature to try to go from 0 to sixty when she's ready for something but even slightly off her rocker, Binks has boundaries, yo. Bianca, if only for Jackson and Leo, would be willing to concede Greenlee her place in the Montgomery family (that's very in character) but the one good writer made a nice choice in showing that Greens hasn't been forgiven everything. Greens isn't in Bianca's trust circle (rightly so, their history sucks) and I think that TPTB are showing the Ginks bonding at a good pace, instead of the dreaded insta-bonding. Plus, I adore when Rebecca and Eden have scenes together.

Of course the Kinksy aspects rocked the mike, man. "Our baby, our Miranda." (high fives Black Knight for reminding me of that) Hell, Bianca's whole speech to Kendall was a pervy, sister lovin' delight. Hee, Kinks are sooooo maintext!

I have to throw out some 'spect to the actors today. Rebecca was brilliant. She played all of Greenlee's emotions perfectly. Greenlee is trying to really step up and be the sister/cousin she wants to be but she's still feeling her way. Alicia just flippin' rocked. Sisterfriend looked absolutely tortured. I felt her pain. Boy, did I. Eden? Please start sucking so I won't care anymore what happens to Binks, k? Monday will undoubtably be an exercise in misery. It's time for another Prozac-vodka cocktail.

Alexa and Julia were wonderful the past two days. Love them. I wanted to strangle Mary and freakin' never want to hear the words "rapist's baby" again but I love Anna Stuart anyway. Mary is on my shit list though.

In all the drama and sadness that was today's show, there was 2 funny moments:

Bianca: Now if you'll excuse me, I'm just going to get her binky from the sterilizer.
Greenlee: Her what?
Bianca: Her binky, her pacifier, not to be confused with her mother.

And the look on Aidan 's face when Binx said she was nursing the baby.

The emotionally smartest thing Greenlee did today, which I adored, was when she, Tad, and Aidan were huddling to decide how to handle Bianca, and Greenlee was immediately very definite that they should call Kendall instead of trying to handle the situation themselves. She knew she was out of her depth and that all she was capable of doing was playing along. Again it's that nice self-awareness she's had lately, where it's not that she's suddenly made huge strides emotionally, but that she's become aware of her emotional stuntedness and is making accommodations. Before, if she didn't understand someone else's feelings, she just called them an idiot and acted like a bitch. Now, she tries to understand, and if she still can't, she doesn't act as if that invalidates the other person.

I also liked her calling Mary on how Mary's never looked at Greens the way Bianca looks at her baby. There's been some interesting parent-child stuff done this past week. (Like Erica ordering God to send her father to hell juxtaposed with Bianca's own words about love and forgiveness to Miranda.) And I'm still giggling over how Bianca got Greenlee's eternal love and devotion by welcoming her to the family -- but without committing to any sisterhood. Heh.


It so was. I liked the brief glimmers of "She does love me best! She's not disappointed in me!" on Kendall's face in between her tortured looks. She very badly needed that reassurance from her girlfister.

So Bianca basically commits herself to psychiatric care? Well, I wasn't expecting that...but it's a damn sight better than her family locking her up against her will.

Just watched today and could not wait to get here and post/read your reactions. Most of it has already been said, but bears repeating.

Greens/Binks was absolutely adorable. I really am growing to enjoy Greenlee. Loved her scene with Mary where she said the Kane-Montgomerys were here family (Even Kendall!)

Alicia ripped my heart out. Then jumped on it. Her face was tormented and she couldn't even speak. When Bianca handed her Mimo, then gave her "Aunt Kendall is the greatest" speech...Alicia hit it out of the ball park. There was definite Kinks maintext. It was fabulous.

Hee, that was golden.



That was impressive. Greens actually listened when Kendall chewed her ass out earlier about not calling her about Bianca! Something going on with Binky? Call Kendall! Hee. Greenlee has learned rule one in Kinksland. I doubt it will get her admittance to the royal court, but she's learning.



Wasn't that cool? Nicely deflected, Bianca. She dodged that bullet without hurting Greenlee's feelings and still made Greenlee feel a part of things. I really liked how that played out. That said, I'll be laughing my ass off at Greenlee trying to get in on the Kinks action for a loooooooong time.

And here is where my ranting begins. Greenlee is a bit of a dumbass. She tends to make bad decisions, and has never given Kendall enough credit in the past. And she probably felt a bit put out out from Kendall blowing her off when Greenlee said she thought that Bianca might be at Erica's. But she STILL knew, without a doubt, that the only person that could get through to Bianca was Kendall. Kendall. NOT Kendall and Ryan.

I both dreaded and anticipated the scene where Bianca was told the truth all throughout the episode; heck, the entire week. And there was not a doubt in my mind that the only person who could possibly break the news to Bianca was Kendall. And as much as I hated the fact that I had to go through Bianca - Kendall - Devestation - Part II, I knew that these two characters, and the actresses that portray them, would do it so well, that I'd be in tears and glued to my T.V. once again.

And as for Ryan, well, yeah, I hate him. He's Frankenbrow. And of course, now I immediately picture Angel Puppet every time I see his stupid face (thank you for that, by the way). But, I've managed to get through all of the fluffing, and him butting into every, single damn storyline. I've even made peace that two of my favorite actresses are fighting over him. Even though Aiden is there. But today was the last straw. There was absolutely no reason for Ryan to be there today. He sucks, he's useless, he had no business there, except maybe to take the picture, but NO, Ryan had to stand in the background of the damn picture, because it's ALL. ABOUT. RYAN.

There's no justification in the world for Kendall to suddenly need Ryan to speak to Bianca for her. She's been through hell and back with Bianca, and they did it together, and alone. She didn't need him, she shouldn't have wanted him, and it just pisses me off so MUCH that HE was the one to sit there and explain it to Bianca, while Kendall was reduced to looking at him pleadingly. GAH!! HATE!!

It ruined the whole episode for me. It's ruining the close bond I see Bianca and Kendall having. It's undermining everything they've been to each other. It's stupid. And pointless. And GAH!!

Sorry, end of rant. Oh, except that I hope that no one at AMC really expects me to care about Erica and all of her problems, when her daughter is going through this horror, and Erica is rolling dice. Please.

Okay . . de-lurking here because this is clearly the most literate (if also somewhat perversely obsessive) of the AMC boards.

My question is this: When Babe's fetus was tested for fatherhood, the results would have shown that it was a boy. Paul's doctoring of the results wouldn't have changed the gender. Joe Martin saw the results. Yet he hasn't even remarked on the fact that it was a BOY.

Is he . . . senile? I'm not a scientist, but I don't know how you could possibly examine a DNA sample without noting the XX or XY chromosome. Have they addressed this at all, and I missed it? Even in soap opera logic, it's ludicrous. There's a lot of this story line that you can rationalize, but not this.

Think of it this way, when Bianca finally snaps and gouges someone's eyeballs out with her fingers, who's it gonna be - her girlfister or the spittling, wide-eyed neanderthal who just reminded Bianca that her baby's dead?

Oh, and Mimo knows who her daddy is too. Did you see her settle into Kendall's arms and grab at her shirt lovingly?

At the moment, I'm kind of hoping that will be Krystal, for crimes not yet committed. Or maybe Paul Kramer. Or--oooh--both!
