The descriptions of the Kane-Montgomery children on a roadtrip cracked my shit up.
What was most impressive about Eden's acting yesterday was the way she kept her composure while Reggie was in the room, and then the expression on her face just crumbled *the instant* he left.
I think I know why the current Bobby is so off-putting -- he's got a permanent sneer, whereas the original was much more laid-back and jovial. Speaking of which, is Kelsey ever coming back? You'd think the writers would consider it, given her various ties to Pie Balley.

Which part of "Bianca's baby died" does Ryan not understand when it comes to his "we got a miracle" prattle?
I just saw yesterday's ep and Word! The funny thing about Ryan's speechifyin', I had a weird fear that he was gonna burst into song. Seriously, something about the dialogue... The good thing is they finally came up with someone who made Ryan bearable, go MEK! I not only didn't FF Ryan for once, I actually enjoyed Ryan and Pooky. MEK is a GOD.
Kendall sniping at Greens didn't get on my nerves at all. For one thing, it was extremely in character and for another, Greens would have acted exactly the same if she were in Kendall's place. They are both brats, pretty
pretty brats. I did feel bad for Kendall when Reggie (physically) sided with Greens. I bet Kendall was really missing her GF right then. I loved the Jack and his kids scenes. Man, I love Jack's worthless ass. I lurved his little aside with Kendall. He was talking about Kenlee patching things up, right? I second whoever it was that said Jack should be a stay at home dad now. I'm so down with that.
Reggie/Binks? (sniff) I adore their vibe. He's such a little manly man and Binky working the big sis angle is adorable. I dug how he tried to cheer her up and how she tried to seem less miserable for him. Reggie is definitely closest to Bianca, as far as sharing personality traits. They both think taking care of the people they love is their number one priority. Sigh.....love them.
That last scene with Binky was just fucking sad. Her heart and instincts are telling her one thing (which happens to be the truth) but her head (to some extent) and everyone else are telling her that she's wrong. After a hellish year, that sort of duality probably will send poor Binky to the land of pudding and comfy robes. Oakhaven? Meet Binks. Y'all have been playing phone tag for awhile now but I think it might be time to get better acquainted. Grrr, I hate that!
I thought they were setting it up where Bianca was sure about things but everyone else thought she was crazy. Now I think they will have her lose it, hopefully temporarily. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

Besides, Greenby would free up Anita for either of the Girlfisters.

I may be late to the table with this but, since it was a topic of some interest:
This speculation about Bianca becoming bi or straight before summer's or year's end is really just wishful thinking on the columnist's part. Darcy, the AMC columnist for Soapdom and now Eye on Soaps (formerly Sage's and Katrina's) columns, wrote and printed his "speculation" that Bianca's sexuality may change in his introductory Eye on Soaps column, just released a day or so ago.
This is Darcy's second attempt at what I consider advocacy for, not speculation about, changing Bianca's sexuality. His first attempt was an in-depth column on the subject on the Soapdom site. The column absolutely incensed me and I wrote and told Soapdom and Darcy so. If you are a member of Soapdom, please check Darcy's archives and read it for yourself.
The worst part about all of is that Darcy, frankly, is utterly ignorant about gay lives and loves and this ignorance is glaringly apparent in his Soapdom column about Bianca. That he feels the need to continue his little campaign for a bi/straight Bianca is disturbing and will lead to further discussion on the subject on the general AMC boards then god knows where it will go from there. I have already seen a "Bianca/JR have chemistry" thread on SON recently.
I KNOW TPTB are evil and are solely responsible for a lot of damage--Bianca's character assassination and Lena's, the systematic destruction of Lianca and hell, even the which-Maggie-will-we-trot-out-today saga. The Mouse, McTavish, Frons and Carruthers have much to answer to. But the responsibility for initiating this advocacy and promotion for a bi/straight Bianca at this moment belongs to Darcy alone. It should be treated as such.
I encourage Bianca/Eden lovers to read the Soapdom column, then write Soapdom and Eye on Soaps. Tell them how you feel about Darcy's own personal fantasi-, er, dream-, er, hallucina-, er, "speculation" about a bi/straight Bianca.
Thanks for listening.
Oh, and I heart TWoP posters hardcore. You are all my heroes and keep me sane on the craziest of AMC days. I could not have lived through the last year of storyline without the snark!

rsmith2k2, you're right about Darcy's crap: here is a wonderful excerpt from his first (?) column:
Before any of you send me letter (because I know no matter how I word this, there will be someone out there who will get offended because that is the nature of the beast) crying that I am insensitive to the "plight" of the lesbian in today's America (If your gay, good for you, I honestly could care less) or suggest that I am uninformed and silly to expect a lesbian, who has been outed for over three years, to suddenly be interested in men or to just become a “bisexual” after "all this time" I say to you now, get a grip, get a life and get over your "cause". If this were a real life situation we were talking about, the I would never mention it. However this is in a medium where people come back from the dead, get kidnapped, brainwashed, cloned, possessed, battle vampires and meet aliens. To suggest that someone, who is currently portrayed as a lesbian, discover that she has feelings for men as well, falls well within reason in the realm of today's soap opera. I not only think it is plausible, but I predict it will happen in the next year.
Yeah, absolutely: fuck social responsibility and let's make everyone bisexual. If the point is that characters need an endless supply of love interests, then everyone should screw anything that moves. Moron.

Boy, get too little sleep, and then be too slammed at work to read TWoP, and come back today to find Eye on Soaps causing hullabaloo. I remember that site printing a rumor a long time ago that one ABC exec, in the fall, had wanted a Bianca/David pairing and that everyone else in ABCD from the top down said no. So EoS does have a history of bisexual-Binks talk. Not sure what that's about...maybe a desire to get Eden a graphic love scene? Regardless, I'm really not worried about it. I agree with
Grinaldi, it's likely just to get people talking about EoS.
kariyaki, your little roadtrip dialogue cracked my shit up. I loved how Greenlee/Kendall's fighting, and Reggie getting a little loud in trying to shut them up, set off the babies in the nursery. Hee! Those wacky Kane-Montgomery siblings. I did think Reggie's defense of Greenlee was a little too much, too soon, especially given it was Kendall he was talking to. As for Uncle Foo Foo, he was great, but still kinda missing the point. When telling Kendall and the others to at least keep their mouths shut until after Jack and Erica say "I do", did he just completely forget that at the moment, neither Bianca nor Kendall are really acknowledging Erica's existence? Work on Erica's issues first, Uncle Foo Foo, and then try to get back together with her. The big issue is not the broken engagement, and a reunion with Uncle Foo Foo is not going to solve Erica's problems, much as he seems to believe it will.
What was most impressive about Eden's acting yesterday was the way she kept her composure while Reggie was in the room, and then the expression on her face just crumbled *the instant* he left.
I loved that. Very in-character for Bianca too, and a nice nod to the caretaker issue she's always had. It's nice to take care of other people, but sometimes it also serves as a way to keep yourself from falling apart. But then falling apart isn't always the worst thing, either. But falling apart can be scary...and round and round it goes. The Reggie/Bianca scenes were very sweet and sensitively played. I cracked up when Bianca said it was probably a good thing that Reggie'd never met anyone else like her. She knows how cursed she is.
The Lena/Pugly scene was great, but the utter lack of follow-up was very WTF? Watching OLTL was no help, either, because both the Kelly/Pugly and Lena/Pugly scenes were taking place completely outside the OLTL universe, so far as the OLTL timeline goes. On OLTL, it was night and Pugly was at a bar waiting for Natalie to show up for her date. It was all very bizarre, since up to now the shows have made some effort to coordinate in their crossovers. By the way, this may or may not be important to the baby-switch SL, but it was revealed on OLTL that Pugly is up to something shady with a doctor at the Llanview hospital.
Frankenbrow just sucks. Kendall only found out the day before, in showtime, that her lovechild is dead. Would Ryan please stop using it to try to facilitate a reunion between them, and getting upset that Kendall isn't in the mood for luuuurv? She's grieving! I don't see Lena bugging Bianca about whether, now that Bianca doesn't have a newborn keeping her busy after all, they can move in together. Shut up, Frankenbrow.
The Lena/Bianca scenes cracked me up, specifically the bit where Lena was trying to get Bianca to be patient and Bianca said no way. I always like it when Bianca's Kane side shows itself--first the firm "this is what I want" attitude, and then just a subtle hint of flirtiness thrown in at the very end. And Lena caves and goes right along, all the way to making a trip over to Llanview to find Pugly. Hee. Smart of her, since otherwise Binks would've just gotten rid of her and figured out something else, like she did with Kendall and Ryan earlier. Here's a cookie for you, HPF. If you want to be with a Kane, it's always best to recognize when you're beaten and should go along, because no force of nature can stop a Kane Woman.
I hope Babe/"Bess" get out of the hospital soon, because I'm already tired of the "Bianca heads towards nursery and is either stopped or turned back" teases. I don't need to read spoilers to know Bianca is not going to get a look at "Bess" today either.

Darcy is an idiot but he may have a point. Wait, don't attack me! He's right about soap-land being full of storylines involving demonic possessions and people coming back from the dead (Jesus must be proud) so changing someone's sexuality isn't too far a stretch and the writers could give a rat's ass about their fans. If the idiot writers really cared what we thought..a bunch of this shit that we're seeing now wouldn't be happening. Whether they choose to make Binks bi, well I could care less cuz I won't be watching for too long but it would be disrespectful to many...again, the writers don't care.
Now I don't really see them making Binks bi only to give her more possibilities for love interests. Remember, the FCC is cracking down on the amount and type of sexual material on daytime tv. I was watching Entertainment Tonight and they had a segment about the amount of sex on soaps and how the FCC was going to target them. They showed a clip of Kendall and Schettyballs!Ryan in bed...and even the Lianca airport kiss. The thing that angered me was that they put a simple kiss btwn. two women in the same category as two people getting it on in bed. Pathetic.
Now back to the show, I didn't catch when Ryan said something about Bianca losing her baby was in some way a miracle! Shut.Up.Ryan...take your schwetty balls and leave Pie Balley!

Kendall and Bianca both decide they're bisexual and take to cutting a swath through Pine Valley as they experiment with their sexuality. Then they stop by BJ's to discuss BJ's (and tuna) and compare notes about who's a great lay. Not surprising anyone, they both pick Aidan for the males and each other for the females.
Do I have to say "April Fools"? No way would the show ever be that interesting.

The hospital job and her supporting role in the Maurmund SL is boosting Anita's numbers, I think. I'm always a bit surprised to see Walt near the top of the list each month for the same reason.
I join your glee over Amelia, but aw, poor Terri. I didn't realize she was on only four times. Sniff.
Bianca's line came when she and Erica were going back and forth on whether Erica thought Bianca's baby was innocent or not and Erica was lying through her teeth about never wishing harm to a hair on Mimo's head. Shut up, Erica. I hope Susan's enjoying her vacation, though, given how much she's been working.

Man, Ryan needs to go away. If Kendall doesn't want a drink, she doesn't want a drink, asshole. Gah, he makes me ill. Palmer's dismissive attitude toward Ryan was a thing of beauty. I love Palmer, I don't care that he never looks anyone in the eye. He's my man. I loved Kendall's Erica rant (hated that she got sucked into listening to Lord Ryan, though) and thought she was right on. Kendall made a good point about taking the shit that's thrown at you but still staying. Kendall, baby, you know a lot about that, don't you?
Eeeeee! Simone! I know that as a character she's basically a waste of space, but I always am so happy to see her. Simone and Tad growling at each other was cute as hell. (MEK was great today) It doesn't look good for Timone (sorry guys) but it was hella cute anyway. I'm glad that Anita heard Bobby's words to Simone but I still want them to break up. They're both cute but I'm not feeling them as a couple really. If Anita forgives Bobby and they get back together, I'm afraid Operation Bore Mystic0 To Tears will be underway. I do like both characters, though.
I dug the Ginks scenes. It was cool seeing Greens dig in and try to stand her ground with Binks. I knew it was pointless, but I admire her trying. Hee, Binky played hardball. I knew Greenlee's ass would be on the ropes when Bianca played the Leo card. The thing I like about Ginks is that they have a horrible history. At least Kenlee had something of a friendship once, but Ginks? Bianca doesn't owe Greenlee a damn thing, not even one ounce of fairness. Greenlee owes a staggering karmic debt to Binks so watching Greens try to bond with Bianca is always cool. Other than Leo, they have nothing but bad shit between them. It's always interesting when two characters interact that are in *totally* different places. Greenlee wants her family now and Bianca really couldn't give less of a damn about Greenlee's redemption right now. Poor Greens, emotionally stunted (and socially-retarded), stuck in the woods with a grieving mother losing it. (snicker)
On a shallow note, Eden's fierce-eyed line reading of "I need you" to Greens had me wondering if Eden is bucking for a Ginks section on her board now. Hee. Praise Pervy!
I just don't know what to say about Babe. I just don't. Alexa is still rocking, though.

I think it would be really offensive if, after never really showing any interest in men since she came out, Bianca starts to question her sexuality after she’s been raped. Maybe in a couple of years, a nice guy comes to town or something, that wouldn’t be so bad. Give her time, well as much as anyone gets in soapland, to come to terms with a few things, but not less than after she’s been raped and the traumatic events of loosing a child. Please, I think it would be total shit.

Now onto AMC today, why won't Ryan just die? It really irked me how he went ahead and ordered Kendall a drink even though she didn't want one. Ryan, you aren't chivalrous...just forceful. And what the hell was he saying about how Bianca was really harsh to Erica! Uh, yeah those words Binks said to Erica were hard for her to hear but once again, this tragedy isn't about Ryan or Erica...its about Bianca and her baby. Or is it? The way McTrash is writing this out, Bianca "lost" her baby only to bring Ryan closer to Kendall. May I ask those of you who go to other soap boards a question? Is Ryan hated as much on other boards or has he charmed them? I can't imagine other people loving his character.
What can I say about Babe and JR? I really have been liking them a lot lately. I even fell for JR's speech to Babe about how he would make up for every rotten thing he said to her. I loved seeing them with BessiMo too. I hope Babe's neurons keep firing and hopefully she'll start to be sure about her flashbacks. Fire away neurons, fire away!
The sound on my tv station kept going in and out during the show so it was like I was watching a Japanese Godzilla movie. Can anyone tell me what Greenlee said to Bianca when Binks pulled a note from the teddybear? I can't read lips, dammit! It seemed like a sweet scene. Bianca, quit making me cry.

Thorsten Kaye Confirmed from Soaps In Depth
Breaking News!
Thorsten Kaye Joins Cast!
AMC places its bet on Kaye.
Literally just moments after Soaps In Depth had hit the presses with our next ABC issue — which, by the way, features a can't-miss ALL MY CHILDREN cover story — word came in from a reliable source (and later was reported on the actor's Web site) that two-time Emmy nominee Thorsten Kaye (Ian, PC; ex-Patrick, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) had inked a deal to create a new character on AMC. Now, ABC is confirming the news: Kaye will debut in the contract role of Las Vegas casino owner Zachery Slater on Thursday, May 20.
"I am thrilled to again be working with Thorsten Kaye and welcome him to the AMC canvas," says executive producer (and former PC boss) Julie Hanan Carruthers. "Thorsten's incredible talent and established appeal is certain to captivate our audience as his storyline unfolds."

Babe urged JR not to call the police because she was sure the baby was safe.
Krystal was upset when Tad suggested that Babe's baby, not Binks', died in the crash.
Erica stood over the coffin of her father, Eric Kane, and unleashed years of pent-up fury against him.
Later, Erica accepted Bobby's invitation to to stay at the casino where he works.

Bianca sure has Greenlee's number, doesn't she?
"Help me!"
"No!"
"Help me!"
"No!"
"Leo thinks you should help me!"
"...okay, but we have to leave a note."
Now, I sort of skipped a couple of years, but the last time I watched AMC on a regular basis, Greenlee amused herself by tormenting Bianca, so to me, Bianca having Greenlee on a string just feels like karma. "If you want a shot at my love and acceptance, you'll do things for me that probably aren't good for me and will get you in hot water with your family!" Rock on, Bianca. The key difference between this and what Erica has so often done to Kendall is that Bianca isn't asking Greenlee to hurt anyone else. Also, she's not an emotional vampire.
I love those two. They have one of those wonderfully long, complicated histories, and it's just icing on the cake that they're played by my two favorite soap actors. I'd love for them to end up closer, but I'm glad they're not jumping straight into that, or pretending there's no reason for animosity on Bianca's part. I want Bianca to forgive Greenlee, but it would be dumb to pretend there's nothing to forgive.

...but when they went to the crash site, I was saying "HUG HER! She needs a hug!"
Ditto. I think Greenlee sort of wanted to hug her, but held back out of a (legitimate) fear that the gesture would be too presumptuous, or that Bianca would push her away. This was sort of a baby-step, but these two just aren't close. They may be family, but there's too much bad blood and not enough of a connection between them to make intimate gestures appropriate.
...I hope they hug tomorrow. ::crosses fingers:: Yeah, I'm a lost cause.

Wallau is transferred ... another guy is out, and there is a new lady in charge of ABC TV.

Ooooh Binaca's baby!
That's some baby's breath. Yes I'm fresh.
The writers are suffering from storyline halitosis.
Could be the mouthpiece stinking up the joint.
Buh-bye Frons.
Or should I call you Snorf? (The sound I made whenever I shot some of that Binaca to the back of my throat in the 7th grade when I got hooked on this effed up crack called AMC)

That's really interesting,
Skiffy. If the new lady has been heading up the Disney Channel and ABC Family, then maybe its a good sign? A lot of their stuff that has come out in the past year or so has all been very, for lack of a better term, girl power. As in a character like Ryan Lavery wouldn't last a day over there, because some sassy chica would come a long and kick his ass into a mud puddle and leave him there, then go out a celebrate with her fierce female friends.
And, if she's was involved in launching SoapNet, maybe she won't leave Daytime as the last place to start?
Why do I get the feeling AMC is slowly turning into Saved By the Bell-Pine Valley.
::snerk:: That's just too funny. And true, really. Naggie is such a dumbed down Screech. Greenlee as Lisa, Ryan as Slater, Kendall as Jessie, Tad as Zach, and Uncle Foo Foo as Mr. Belding, but I can't really place a Kelly character on AMC?
ETA: I think you're right,
allergic2love. If you throw in the long suffering saint-like aspects of it all, Bianca IS Kelly.

I'm totally going to get made fun of but [whisper]I loved (and still do) old school Saved by the Bell.[/whisper] It's so sinfully cheesy and, oh sweet lord it's possible, had worse continuity than AMC. I also had the biggest crush on Zach.
I can't really place a Kelly character on AMC?
I say Bianca. Saints on their respective shows.

Oh, I was a Saved By The Bell fan, too. I'm not ashamed of my love. I only saw The New Class once or twice, though, just enough to recognize nuAnita as the Kelly character.
AMC's Kelly? Hmm. Who's annoying and one-dimensional? Krystal? Mia?
Can we refer to Zach Slater as "Preppy"? Please?

::snerk... but I can't really place a Kelly character on AMC?
Because they haven't transported Cordelia from Buffy to Pine Valley, yet. But I think they won't import her, because all the essential ingredients are in Pine Valley. It's two shakes Greenlee, two shakes Kendall, one shake Erica... there is your Kelly cocktail!

Hey, I ain't gonna knock anyone who watched
Saved by the Bell. My boyfriend & I used to eat our post toasties and watch Zach and the gang. It was my boyfriend's introduction to cheesy American tv. Do y'all think that watching such ridiculous nonsense in some way prepared us for AMC?
Naggie is such a dumbed down Screech
SFHagood, that is too damn funny. Could this board insult Naggie even more? Luuv it.
Does this mean Frons is no longer secure?
I'm hoping this is true but for me at least, its a little too late.
Did anyone else here laugh when they had a close-up of Frankenbrow's sad face when Kendall was asking him about how he felt when she betrayed him? I don't know if it was CamMath trying to act sad that had me laughing or the fact that Kendall hurt Ryan so bad. Either way, it brought all kinds of giggles.
ETA: Olga's last day on AMC was yesterday. Someone at SS tried to send her flowers and they told her that "she no longer works here." Too bad for you, AMC!

Did anyone else here laugh when they had a close-up of Frankenbrow's sad face when Kendall was asking him about how he felt when she betrayed him?
Well, I was rolling my eyes and sort of snickering, when I wasn't fighting off irritation. I mean, honestly. Kendall's grieving for her niece and worried sick over her girlfister, and Frankenbrow's trying to get her sympathy for himself. Shut the fuck up, Ryan, and can those constipated expressions. If Cam Math could actually make me believe that Ryan is genuinely sad and hurt, I might have an iota of sympathy for him, but as it is, he just looks like a selfish, whiny fuck. I did rather appreciate the parallel that he and Erica both run away when things get tough, though.
Aw shucks, I was aboard the Bobby/Greenlee train, and then the Bobby/Anita scenes made me rethink that. On the bright side, it's nice to be torn between two couples where both have genuine chemistry for a change. Simone was totally random, but aw, I always like seeing her.
When Babe mentioned that she had asked about Bianca's baby repeatedly and everyone had avoided answering, I thought it was unusually astute of her and that maybe I should reconsider my assessment of her as a sweet but oh-so-dense girl. Then Anita brought Miranda in the room and Babe completely forgot. "Look at the shiny!" Sigh. I do love Babe, though. I was also relieved to hear that she can't breastfeed Miranda--it was bad enough to have Kelly breastfeeding Babe's son.
I was giggling insanely during the Ginks hospital scenes. It's always funny to me to watch someone who's completely overmatched walk right into it. Greenlee never had a chance. I know she has tiny tiny muscular arms, but MamaBear!Bianca could probably kick the shit out of anyone. It was fortunate for Greenlee's physical wellbeing that, when she called Kendall, Bianca realized that Greenlee was sincere about wanting to help and that she could just manipulate Greenlee into doing what she wanted. I cracked up when she started calmly telling Greenlee what to do--something about the pink robe Bianca was wearing put me in mind of Jedi robes, and so I ended up looking at it like Obi Wan Bianca pulling Jedi mind tricks. Greenlee fought bravely, but was so doomed. Bianca's had far too much experience dealing with desperate love-starved strays to not know exactly how to push Greenlee's buttons, and Leo was her ace in the hole. I just loved the final touch of Greenlee's note falling to the floor, because it's so obvious where this is going--Kendall's going to check her voicemail, rush to the hospital, and completely freak when she sees her girlfister is gone. And when Greenlee finally gets Bianca back to the hospital, Kendall's going to go slam the fuck off on her, especially since she'd already warned Greenlee earlier in no uncertain terms to go nowhere near her girlfister. Heh. It should all be quite fun and Pervy. I also laughed at Rebecca's delivery of "You trust her more than (annoyed pause) you trust anybody." Come on, Bianca, you can't lose it, not when you have Kendall and Greenlee about to catfight over you. (Maybe her hearing Miranda crying is AMC's second stab at a psychic connection?)
On a more serious note, I like watching Greenlee struggle with her emotional stuntedness and doing her best to understand other people's emotions. It's a nice understated performance by Rebecca, and it makes me smile a little when I can see the "I don't understand this" wheels of confusion turning in Greenlee's head. This isn't a case where the Grinch's heart suddenly grew three sizes, more that the Grinch's heart is growing one hard-earned millimeter at a time.

(snicker) Welcome aboard,
Douggley. The short answer is, yes. For further detail, there's only about 400 pages of Kinks-shipping posts if you want to read back a little bit and laugh. We're sick people, but we're also very funny.
