Wow, I almost feel guilty for how much I enjoyed watching Bianca eviscerate Erica. I was actually feeling like Kendall, standing around and shifting nervously. BUT... There is that key word: "almost."
I actually got a chuckle in the scene. When Bianca wants to see the baby and Kendall's going, "I know it's hard to let sink in but your baby is gone." Bianca rolls her eyes all, "I know, I'm not THAT deluded," and says that she wants to see Boobe's baby.
The scene itself was great. Bianca unleashed both barrels at Erica, something that was long overdue for Bianca to do. I especially loved the part where Binks is asking for the itinerary since she's sure Erica's already gone and booked a cruise. (Note that Bianca included Kendall in on this fabled cruise. She's quite sure Erica knows that she wouldn't go anywhere without her girlfister.)
But I think my absolute favorite part was Bianca asking Kendall later if she'd gone too far with
Erica (note the use of her first name rather than "Mom") and Kendall whispering in her ear that Bianca did exactly what she had to do.
Awww, Kendall has a picture of the baby shower. But what's PuppetRyan doing just walking in her place without knocking? And how can his felt hands operate a doorknob anyway?
I wonder how JR's "dramatic" scenes in the past few weeks would've looked if it were Shaggy and not JY in the role.
Oh dear GOD, my imagination won't even let me fathom that.
Yay for the screenshots from Mean Girls, kariyaki. Have you been to the official website? Some pretty funny material on there.
No, I haven't. I need to do that.

I thought so because it was a very controlled performance, but YMMV.

Ooh, I loved that too. I loved how she started out saying Mo-stopped, thought about it, said Erica. It was kind of like, "I'm going to be like Kendall now. Kendall calls her Erica, so will I."

Bianca invoked the name of Travis on Erica, Erica Kane. Man, ER is just superb, stunningly so. Alicia Minshew is as well and even Susan is stepping up her game a couple of notches.
I didn't even mind Medmund today and usually I find them the most boring two people ever. I did like Maria-Anita playing Florence Nightengale in tandem to Aidan & AwningBrow.
I also liked the talk between Edmund & Jack. WW has just been quietly compelling through this whole SL and it's paying off wonderfully IMO.
MBJ & MEK are totally knocking everything they get out of the park as well. They pretty much always manage to move me regardless of what they do though.
Even Becky Budig is even getting an opportunity to do some great work now that TPTB have dialed her back some. I loved her telling Danielle that she'd "Tweeze her bald" if she hurt her brother. It's about time she got fully immersed in that little dysfunctional family unit.
That final montage to "SOTR" was just great except it should've been Aidan there instead of AwningBrow to comfort Kendall dangit!

WORD WORD WORDY MCWORD!!!!!!!!! Bianca you go girl! I actually applauded when she said "This was about me and my dreams, not you and your nightmare." I couldn't have written a better Erica Slapdown myself. About time!
However, when Erica ran down the hall boo-hooing "I know how they feel about me!" you knew that absolutely nothing had sunk in. It's still all about Erica and her hurt feelings. Bah!

Wow, I almost feel guilty for how much I enjoyed watching Bianca eviscerate Erica.
Wasn't that wonderful? Bianca certainly wasn't pulling any punches. Erica was insane to go into that room. If you are the sole person in the whole damn valley that was public about wanting Mimo gone, what would possess you to even try to 'comfort' the grieving mothers? I know, insane Erica logic. I do believe that Erica would never wish this kind of pain on Bianca but she *did* wish for the event that caused this pain. The dichotomy of Erica is mind-boggling, man. What robs me of any possible pity for her is that I caught a glimpse today of Erica really still believing that a problem has been fixed (even if the immediate pain is unfortunate) and she thinks they can all just get back to the Kane United thing now. Nothing to spoil the bonding, Bianca and Kendall are all shiny again. I'm glad Bianca blew that notion away. She does know how Erica's sick brain works. I knew she was serious when she called her mother 'Erica'. Enjoy being on the outside Erica, you self-absorbed bitch! You're gonna be there a while.
I liked seeing snarky Greens again. I lurve me some Rebecca and this kinda stuff is what she's best at. I dug that they seem to be pulling off Penance!Greens but she still has her bitch princess thing goin' on. MBJ and Walt rock. Ryan needs to die for going near Kendall (Shut UP, Maria!) and for damaging Aidan's pretty. Bastard!
Black Knight, it was a Binky glare-a-thon today. Enjoy!

I loved how when they cut to commercial today, they just cut to it without music or close-ups. Has AMC been doing that for a while, or did that only happen today? I can't remember whether it happened yesterday.
I totally loved the scene between Jack and Tad today. I loved seeing two actors I grew up watching on this show had that moment together today. That's a big pro of AMC, the vets are being used. Groovy.
I tuned out of AMC completely in 2002 when Mauria came back, but now I find myself tuning in regularly. Ugh! I hate myself for taking that stolen baby bait. The last thing I wanna do is please McTrash and become all riveted in this story.

Tad hears Krystal crying. Tries to console her but she just wants to be left alone.
Aidan asks her to box and she eventually agrees. He tells her he'll be back and to take off her jewelry. She looks at her wedding ring.
Edmund and Maria go to see and old movie.
Ryan takes Kendall to the bathroom and uses a wet washcloth on her face then turns on the shower and hands her a towel. He goes out of the bathroom and Kendall sits in the shower.
Krystal tells tad she wants to be alone.
Aidan teaches Anita how to box.
Edmund and Maria watching the old movie then the reel breaks. They then argue about how the movie ends. Then Maria asks if he rewrote it how it would end. So he tells the story they are playing the characters of this black and white movie and he is standing in his rewrite of the movie and he still gets gal, who maria is playing arrested. Then they are argue about that then Edmund ask her to tell how she would rewrite it.
Tad brings Krystal some wiskey. Krystal wants him gone really, but she takes the drink. Tad keeps trying to console her.
Danielle is in the music store then Reggie comes in makes him go to the listening booth. She talks to the girl in charge and says she almost closing time. Then Danielle pretends to leave the store. The girl in charge of the store decides to close the door Danielle comes back in and hides. Girl closes up the store door and locks it.
Maria tells how she would rewrite the movie. In her version Edmund is in a wheelchair.
Krystal talks about her mom and her life and how she covers being afraid to Tad. Then she goes on talking about Bianca, Kendall and Erica.
Kendall comes out of the shower. Ryan then dries her hair.
Reggie still listening to music in the music booth not realizing the store is closed. Gets out and sees they are closed. Danielle is going through the cds.
Aidan and Anita are working on punching and Aidan gets a little to close for Anita's comfort.
Ryan serves Kendall food. Kendall looks at the pictures of her and Bianca from the baby shower and she drops it.
Krystal goes on about Bianca and talks about her friend who lost her baby. Tad tells her you just get over it and that they will get there.
Anita gets angry and tells him he was trying to make a move on her and Aidan gets angry.
Maria comes back from getting some stuff. In her story the cop was dirty and that she was cheating. Edmund then comes up with the perfect ending where he's standing and kissing her.
Aidan just wants to be a friend and says he knows better than getting involved with people who love other men from his last experience.
Ryan puts out his hand to Kendall and takes her to the fire and sits down next to her.
Reggie tells Danielle about being on probation and tells him he'll get put behind bars if he is caught. Danielle tells him it was her plan. She tries to get him to have fun. Then they are dancing to this shaking song.
Anita apologizes to Aidan and he says he's fine. She thanks him for the lesson. He gives her back her wedding ring.
Krystal wants to go check on Babe and says she looks like a wreck. Tad brushes some of her hair out of her face then says she is beautiful.
Ryan covers Kendall with a blanket and heads to leave and her turns out the light. Then decides not to leave and goes over to the chair and covers up with the jacket.
Previews
Reggie calls Greenlee for help
David tells Krystal that if she leaves Babe in this hospital and their care she is going to die.

They've been doing that for a while now. The music guy for this show is quite astute and doesn't often drown out the dialogue scenes with cheesetastic music.
One thing I did notice today was that they were giving the Kane Women scenes priority. Anyone else take note of the fact that the gym scenes and Montgomery sibs were getting cut off as close to the end of dialogue as possible? I swear, the end of Mauria's sentence came thisclose to having the end chopped off of it. Not that I would have cared.

Wow, Eden's performance yesterday was great but today's was phenomenal. Binks was in complete control while dishing it out to Erica. I couldn't really feel Erica's pain today. It seemed like she was pulling a 'Maggie' and trying to come up with the tears but they just weren't flowing.
My sister saw the first scene of Kendall in bed with Binks and she asked, "Oh my, are those the lesbians!" No sister, they're just sisters. Hee!
Did anybody else catch when Maria said to Anita, "saved by the bell" during the faux!machismo boxing? And what can I say about Aidan & Ryan boxing? My sisters used to fight better than that! You two fight like girls! I was in fear for Aidan. If his fist came anywhere near Ryan's cro-mag brow...it would have shattered Aidan's hand!
I'm liking the interaction btwn. Greens and Danielle. Danielle seemed a little snarky and two snarky bitches is fine with me. And Greenlee is so protective of Reggie. Mama like. Mama like a lot.

I was only halfway paying attention to the ep, because I've been so annoyed by the baby-snatching, Paul, combining two shows, etc. So I was completely shredded when Eden screamed. I felt like the people in the waiting room- it just killed me. Possibly the most amazing thing I've ever seen and heard on tv.
Like everyone has mentioned, the acting in this scene was AWESOME! I cried when Reggie was telling Danielle about the sound that Bianca made. "If death had a sound....."
What I find even worst is if they play this story as planned we will have to wait years for a resolution. That includes being forced to watch Bianca mourn a child that is not even dead but living right across town.
I so hope they don't do this. The DOOL baby switch where the mixed up baby would come play with his 'friend', the stupid Passions baby switch that might never be resolved....the kids will be in their 30's and no one will have figured out who the parents are. Does anyone know about DNA testing??? (Of course, that's a classic SL too, the results were mixed up!!) Just give her back her baby already!
I can't say Babe has won me over completely but AMC is doing a good job creating sympathy for the character.
After her scenes with Bianca, I like Babe alot more. When she first came to town with her 'Pretty Woman' vibe - the hooker who is trying to fit into the rich scene - I hated her! She and her 'momma' with their stupid cliche "I'll just fix thangs right up like a bug in a rug" comments and their constant "We're the strongest women we know" crap grated! But after the baby shower and the cabin scenes, Babe is growing on me.
Okay, I think all Lucci's surgical maintenance has inhibited her ability to cry. For god's sake, she has snot coming out of her nose, but not a single tear in evidence, not even hovering on an eyelash. That's not natural.
Word! She's kind of got that Joan Rivers mask thing going on!

Looks like I'll be the lone voice of dissent again. That's ok, I don't mind being alone here at the top. Hee.
I've been wanting to see the Erica smackdown since last April (would have been longer if I'd tuned in earlier) and, while I'm glad Bianca finally told her off, it left me completely cold. Everything was really mechanical and just.so.perfect. I know a few of you have mentioned Bianca (and, by default, Eden) was in control during the smackdown, but she seemed just robotic to me and not in the good, I-have-to-do-this kind of way but in the let-me-get-through-my-lines kind of way. Eden was fantastic yesterday but really meh today. I actually enjoyed LaLucci's slow pallor far more than Eden's scrunchy, angry face.
ETA: When Kendall was finally alone in her condo and lost it while holding on to the counters - now, that was awesome acting: whe's the last time Alicia hit a sour note? Never? Ok.

Ooooo, the Kanes today! I quite liked the Kinksy shot of them on the bed looking at Erica, before Kendall climbed off. And I feel absolutely no guilt for how I enjoyed Bianca ripping Erica to shreds. It was long, long overdue. Sometimes other characters think that Bianca misses a lot of stuff, or falls for lies, or so on. But she doesn't miss a damn thing--her bullshit detector is just about infallible--she just often chooses to play dumb, for various reasons. But when she's angry? Watch out, the gloves are off. She did not let Erica get away with a single idiocy or lie today. It started immediately when Erica said something about how "we" said such horrible things, and Bianca made her change it to "I". And, not that it would've made much difference anyway--Erica was dead to Bianca regardless--but it was dumb of Erica to then apologize to Kendall in front of Bianca for the things Erica had said to Kendall. It was the first Bianca'd heard of it and the look on her face was not pretty. She knows Erica and knows that Erica had to have done a real number on her GF. No wonder when Bianca started in shortly after on how many candles Erica had lit, she brought up lighting a candle for Kendall as well as Mimo. (And I totally snickered when Bianca brought that up, because she basically had Erica's chapel routine from last week down pat.)
Other especially good bits? I loved how Bianca screamed the word "abortion" at Erica; I'd always thought she had to have had some resentment for how Erica had pushed and shoved her into it, and it finally emerged. Blasting Erica for making the baby all about herself and her own nightmares was something that desperately needed to be said, as was her bringing up Erica's constant attempts to bury everything and pretend that everything's back to normal. And pulling out Travis as the final card was just perfect. Ah, it was so nice seeing her call Erica on her attempts at revisionist history, at her attempts to present herself variously as an unselfishly loving mother, a martyr nobly acting as a punching bag, and so forth. Bianca wasn't buying anything Erica was selling.
I loved how Kendall stayed absolutely silent throughout, crying at various points and glaring at Erica at others. She was smart to stay out of it and let Bianca handle Erica. (Erica, really, what were you thinking when you stepped into that room, with both of them glaring at you?) And I smirked when Erica tried to enlist her against Bianca and Kendall absolutely shut her down. Erica, you dumbass--Kendall and Bianca do not take sides against each other, ever. I loved Kendall choosing Bianca over Erica with not a shred of hesitation, and I loved that she said Erica wouldn't have to think about her own rape anymore as a result. Erica will always hold that against Kendall on some level, while Bianca doesn't, and Kendall knows it. For years, I never thought I'd see Kendall make the emotionally smart choice, but she did today.
After Erica left, I loved the way Kendall asked Bianca so gently if she was okay. When Bianca said she wanted to see the baby, I actually thought she meant that she wanted to see Miranda's dead body (since no one's explained to her yet that Miranda was supposedly thrown into the river and hasn't been found). I wasn't happy with Kendall jumping to the conclusion that Bianca was still thinking that Miranda was alive after Bianca had just spent half an ep ripping Erica to shreds over Miranda's "death" because I'm worried about what that could mean for the future, but it was interesting how Bianca was trying desperately to think about something else besides her own pain. Her face, though, when Kendall told her gently that being around another baby wasn't the best thing, was just so painful, how she just crumpled. Stupid nurse--I couldn't believe she kicked Kendall out. What the hell was the point of that? Bianca needed her sister, and she was alone again in five minutes anyway (at least Jack came in afterwards to hold her. Sniff). At first I was quite afraid that, thanks to the dumbass nurse or whatever, Kendall wasn't going to answer Bianca's question about whether she'd been too hard on Erica. But Kendall didn't disappoint. I loved her gently whispering her answer into Bianca's ear and then kissing Bianca. Awwww. Eden was incredible today, and Alicia provided excellent support.

I loved how Bianca screamed the word "abortion" at Erica;
Dear God I loved that moment. And she belted it out so LOUD that if there had been any of the peanut gallery still out in the waiting room, they for sure would have heard it.
I loved Kendall choosing Bianca over Erica with not a shred of hesitation, and I loved that she said Erica wouldn't have to think about her own rape anymore as a result.
I loved that too. A very, very subtle statement that Kendall had no interest in ever even SEEING Erica again, which I think is a HUUUUUUGE step for Kendall to make. I never thought I'd ever see the day when Kendall would put someone else ahead of Erica but she finally saw that there's someone infinitely more worthy of a permanent place in her life. Someone that will never purposely hurt her or belittle her. Go Kendall.

I didn't "meh" CK, but I did think Eden was superior yesterday. All that speech free emotional anguish! Too much dialogue today. Too much obvious anvilly lines ... Mo... Erm, Erica ... you are dead to me.
Dead? Do you get that? Dead? Um, it means not alive.
Loved the Husband Kendall. She'll never leave her wife's side ever. They are so married! Even, perhaps especially, for the serious stuff! That is the miracle of Kinks.
Oh, and I loved the "how many candles" interrogation. She had her pinned like a bug on display ... but still alive and squirming! Insert the next pin ... It was just too cool. If someone was telling me off, I'd be more affected if they chose their words precisely as opposed to screaming. Binks' words seemed cold and harsh and that is what Erica needed to hear. But whether she was better today or yesterday, you gotta give Eden credit for pulling out amazing performances day after day...esp. with a stupid storyline.

So best. The most impressive thing was her voice. Pitch perfect. She could literally phone it in for the rest of the year, and I'd still think she should get the Emmy for next year. And the scene with Kendall crawling in the bed with her? ::sniff:: That was so good. I can not wait to see this Erica smackdown!

I think the other thing to keep in mind is that this is exactly how Erica ripped apart both Bianca and Kendall two weeks ago. She was certainly pissed off, but she didn't fly off the handle and yell at them. She coldly and clinically went for all their weak spots to inflict the maximum amount of hurt possible. I thought it was very appropriate that Bianca had the same overall demeanor and approach today.
Now, this problem with Babe? Is she a)sick from Paulcifer's drug cocktail or b) sick from post delivery complications? or c) yes. yes she is.
Hee. Seriously, did Paul put a bandage on Babe's arm to cover up the injection mark? Because I don't remember seeing a bandage on her arm. Since she ended up sprawled on the ground in the forest, I was thinking that bacteria might've entered her body via the exposed injection mark.

That scene when Jack went into Bianca's room? Broke my heart. This show is horrible for my emotional state.
Loved big sister Greenlee being all protective of Reggie.
The Punisher must be stopped, though. This was too far. Who outfits the Aidan/Ryan fight with shirts?? Shirts??!!
Black Knight
Mar 30, 2004 @ 7:08 pm
At least the shirt did show off Aidan's arms nicely. Yum, Aidan.
I quite liked the dynamic among Greenlee, Reggie, and Danielle. Reggie's still wary of Greenlee, but softening just a tad. And Greenlee understanding that he can't be expected to welcome her as a beloved sister overnight, that she has to work at building their relationship, is a big step forward for her. But at the same time we got to see that her edge isn't gone, either, which is a good thing. Greenlee shouldn't be all vanilla nice. I was amused by the bit where Danielle told Greenlee she looked better in the dress, and Greenlee denying it to her, but admitting it to Reggie afterwards. Heh. I think Greenlee and Danielle might be amusing as roommates.
AMC did a nice job with all the character interaction that didn't involve Frankenbrow, actually. Jack/Edmund, Jack/Tad, Maria/Anita, Anita/Aidan...I like it when we get that sense of community, instead of characters all isolated in their own little SL groups.
mr.simpatico
Mar 30, 2004 @ 7:09 pm
This will probably be the only AMC I get to watch all week so it was good to see Erica get hers handed to her by Binks. I really think this is the best I've ever seen La Lucci, who I've always thought of as over-rated not ready for primetime actor. She really knows her character so well - I totally buy Erica as an actual (selfish)person (as opposed to say Ryan or Babe/Krystal) instead of an actress playing her.
The worse thing on this show is that this whole horrible SL (starting with the rape of Bianca by Voldemort and now the 3 Babies, 2 Shows Frons fantasy) isn't going down the tubes like it deserves. The actors are saving it (even with some of the most melodramatic lines ever). I couldn't help but think today that AM and ER are not long for the soap world. They are both are so gorgeous and so good that I'm sure they've got a much brighter future ahead of them in primetime or movies. Some soap actors are meant for soaps (talent-wise - look at Passions as an example) and some are just too good to be restricted by them. I believe Kinks qualifies for that. Eden especially has basically held up much of McTrash's horrible writing on her shoulders.
Everything else aside from the Kanes (and the Montgomerys and Tad) on this show is FF material. On the plus side, many other shows would not let their "main" character get their commupence like Erica has (think Sonny and Jason on GH). Maybe thats because Susan Lucci is willing to let Erica be hated while some other big stars are not.
As for Kinks, it's good their sisters. If they were not and were an actual romantic couple they would break up in a year (this being a soap and all) but because they're sisters - it's forever. There doesn't have to be a (contrived) obstacle between their relationship.
Black Knight
Mar 30, 2004 @ 8:00 pm
You nailed the beauty of Kinks,
mr.simpatico. I really can't imagine what could plausibly throw a wrench in their relationship, and since they're not an official romantic couple (shyeah), AMC has no need to contrive some stupid obstacle to make them turn on each other. They can just go on as they are, completely supportive and faithful to each other. Heh. I'm having trouble thinking of any two other characters on daytime with a bond this unbreakable. It's a beautiful thing to see.
Maybe thats because Susan Lucci is willing to let Erica be hated while some other big stars are not.
I do appreciate that about Susan, and how she plays Erica true to character even when that means Erica's less admirable qualities are very firmly to the fore. She deserves a lot of applause for that.

Skiffypup, bwah! Thanks for giving us a link to that profound question posed to Eden at RR. (I think she posed the same question to Olga at the SS.) It reminds me of an interview that some fans organized (I believe they organized it) for Olga Sosnovska. I think a bunch of fans sent in questions and Olga had to answer some of the most immature & ridiculous questions like, "What is your favorite color?" & "If you could possess one super power, what would it be?" What is this, the Mickey Mouse Club?! Poor Olga, she was a good sport and answered all the questions without a hint of embarrassment. I was just hoping she didn't think those qustions were indicative of all her fans at the SS.
Don't y'all love that no matter how emotional or sad an episode can be, we still find it in ourselves to bring out the snark. I love coming in here and marinating in our pool of sarcasm. I may give up the show but not this board.

I totally buy Erica as an actual (selfish)person (as opposed to say Ryan or Babe/Krystal) instead of an actress playing her.
Maybe thats because Susan Lucci is willing to let Erica be hated while some other big stars are not.
ITA. And I never get the impression that SL
thinks she is Erica Kane, even though she is believable as Erica and good at making us believe that she is Erica. It makes me think of GH's Maurice Benard or Y&R's Eric Braeden, and how they agree with every friggin' thing their characters do and find no fault in it. So I think one of the main reasons I loved today's Erica smackdown is because Erica isn't just some dayplayer who's just going to go away. We're going to have to see how she's going to bounce back from hurting Bianca and her selfish actions. She's the bad guy in PV right now (Paul Cramer notwithstanding) and I think it's remarkable that SL doesn't mind letting Erica be the bad guy. (Believe me, what I just said makes a lot more sense if you've been exposed to MB on GH. Good God).

I do believe there is an element of "Man, my daughter's in horrible pain" going on
Yes, but only in a way that’s like a criminal who is sorry…
that he got caught.
[whisper]I don't hate Ryan. [/whipsper] In fact, I like him. Since we'll never get a true Kinks, I like him with Kendall. Sorry. Please don't flame me. I can't help it. I'm weak, I tell you. Weak.
I cried today with the montage at the end. Jackson/Bianca and Kendall/Ryan were great. Alicia was amazing when she broke down in her kitchen. Eden was fabulous as usual.
Erica is so self centered that she doesn't understand that her very vocal opinion about Bianca's rape child hurts Kendall to the core. What a bitch. I'm sorry but I hate Erica with a passion.

I really like todays eppy. Bianca was on target with all the Erica hate. Erica can spin it all she wants but she wanted Miranda erased from existence from day one. Abortion, miscarraige, tradegy, whatever name you want to put on it, dead is dead so STFU Erica.
I loved how Biance included Kendall in everything she said from the candles to the cruise. Erica was an idiot if she thought Kendall was going to take her side on this one. Kendall knew exactly what Binky needed so she stood there and let Bianca get out all her rage and hate toward her mother. Then of course the seductive whisper in the ear at the end was a nice touch.
I didn't cry until the very end when Kendall/Alicia broke down. Damn that girl is good. Why oh why couldn't Aidan have been the one to comfort Kendall?! I don't like Ryan and his Erica propping ways.

Bwah! I should have known better than to take you seriously, Skiffy.
I didn't mean to defame the name of the best lil' snake ever, CK!
The HRC called to hit me up for money during AMC tonight. It was fine for a while, because the scene was on Ryan and Aiden, so I didn't need dialogue, but when I noticed it had gone back to Bianca, I wanted to be like HEY! one of the only lesbians on broadcast tv is on my screen bitching out her mother in a very important scene! What are you thinking calling me right now?!?!
Anyone else waiting for Aiden to call Ryan a "Wee little puppet man"? Just me, then?
Mad props to WW today. That final scene with Bianca? ::sniff::
Greenlee is going to make a pretty good older sister one of these days.
And of course, Luscious was perfect, especially in the kitchen. I'm really tired of crying every freakin' night, though.
Oh! Has Paul Cramer always been in the ending credits? I caught his name flash by tonight.

You nailed the beauty of Kinks
(snicker)
*Ahem*
I think we should all ban together and get the majority of the PVH staff fired. First, that twit told Babe she needed to call 911. Well, maybe she did, but would it kill your twitness to help the obviously panicked woman on the phone? Then that troll today rudely kicks Kendall out of her GF's room. Bitch. Couldn't she see that the pretty people were talking? Don't interrupt the incestuous, pretty canoodling, jackass! Hmph. Okay, I'm just bitter because I don't think Kinks should be separated right now, 'specially if it means Kryan scenes. Plus, dammit, leaving Bianca
any possibility of potentially being alone is just a bad idea. Who knows what will happen! The ceiling could fall in on her or something. I guess Kendall does need some time away to get herself together before getting her GF through the tough days ahead, though. Whatever, just keep the Kinks separations to a minimum please, k?
I'm still riding high on Erica getting her comeuppance. Bianca has always had a scary-ass temper, Erica was lucky to make it out of that room alive. Eden rocked that scene and Kendall was damn intriguing. Kendall wasn't enjoying watching her GF and mother have it out, no matter how much Erica richly deserved it. She knows how bad this situation with Erica has hurt her GF (and herself) and knows how much Binks loves Erica. Alicia played it so well. Kendall looked so damn sad. I just really dug that they played it that way with Kendall, instead of having Kendall jump in, and Kinks double-teaming Erica. I like how TPTB are avoiding the more predictable reactions and outcomes. It's nice not to know exactly how a scene will play out beforehand.

No. I
did have this image of Ryan screaming "No Aidan! Bad Aidan!" though.

Yeah, whenever he appears he is. Ditto for Boobe whenever she's been crossing over to OLTL.

Delurking to say--it occurs to me that Greenlee would be a nicer person if she'd had a younger sibling growing up. She looks good in Classic Older Sister. I'm not sure when, exactly, Reggie and Greenlee started to think of themselves as siblings, but I like it. (And you know it's the only way Greenlee's ever gonna get any of that good sister karma Kendall's swimming in.)

But-- but-- Kaidan. The hotness of Kaidan. I just can't get back into Kryan because the siren call of Kaidan is so very loud.
I still love Kaidan, but from the last week or so, it's quite apparent we're not getting Kaidan anytime soon. But at least Kendall and David are looking like they have a chance. I know I go back and forth on whether I want to see those two together--they have lots of chemistry, of course, and would be an interesting pair, I just didn't like Kendall proposing it a few weeks ago as the two pariahs together because I hate it when Kendall bashes herself--but I'm getting desperate because of the Kryan looking like it's about to start up again. I get the sense that the writers would like to go with Kendall/David and Greenlee/Ryan (poor Rebecca), and that the network's dithering around still trying to decide between Alicia and Rebecca as Cam Math's leading lady.
I guess Kendall does need some time away to get herself together before getting her GF through the tough days ahead, though. Whatever, just keep the Kinks separations to a minimum please, k?
Word. I was actually pleased, though, to see Bianca's apparently not on tomorrow. Eden no doubt needed a day off to decompress after the last two days. And her vocal cords enjoyed the day off too, I'm sure, since Eden's been delivering nearly all her dialogue in a much lower pitch than normal, and quite rawly, too. On my rewatch, I had difficulty deciding between two of her lines for my favorite line-delivery of the ep. The interesting thing is that they're so totally different, too. The first is the abortion yell already discussed, and the second is when she tells Kendall, "Oh Kendall, I know my little girl is gone." It's such a quiet, almost breathless whisper and the way she says "little girl" in particular is heartbreaking. Speaking of line delivery, I also appreciated the very understated way in which Eden delivered the key lines where Bianca disowned her mother. No screaming histrionics, instead an almost matter-of-fact delivery. It was like Bianca simply looked inside herself and realized she doesn't see Erica as her mother anymore.
Kendall wasn't enjoying watching her GF and mother have it out, no matter how much Erica richly deserved it. She knows how bad this situation with Erica has hurt her GF (and herself) and knows how much Binks loves Erica.
Yeah, I don't think Kendall felt an iota of sympathy for Erica, but she was definitely worried and upset about Bianca. I was wondering if she'd try to physically haul Erica out at some point, feeling it was too much of a scene for Bianca, but she stayed away from that and let Bianca have her say. I guess she knew Bianca needed it. There were a couple of particularly interesting reaction shots from Kendall where she was close to stepping in, though. The first came when Erica is condescending to Bianca about how she knew Bianca wasn't herself, and the camera cuts to Kendall, and Kendall is absolutely furious at how Erica's talking to Bianca. She was clearly wanting to go slam the fuck off on Erica then and there, and all but biting the corner of her mouth in an attempt to control herself from doing just that. The second came near the end of Bianca's cruise-itinerary bit, when she was talking about Erica jumping for joy, and the camera cuts to Kendall, looking worried and opening her mouth like she's about to step in. But then Erica starts talking...
On a similar note, I'm still amused by the pissed look on Bianca's face when Erica stupidly mentions that she said horrible things to Kendall too. Bianca even starts shaking her head a little bit, all "You are abso-fucking-lutely unbelievable."
On my rewatch I also noticed a couple of the physical Kinks bits from the very beginning--my first time watching, I was concentrating on their facial expressions. But on the rewatch I noticed that Kendall drew Bianca's attention to Erica by squeezing her arm, and also that when Kendall gets off the bed, she slides her hand down to grasp Bianca's hand, though we don't get to see the full action. And when Bianca immediately started in on Erica with that voice, I gather Kendall realized her GF was not in a handholding frame of mind. That dynamic was quite interesting throughout the scenes with Erica, actually--as we all know, Kendall's usually quite physical with Bianca, very quick to put a supportive arm around her and so on, but she stays hands-off while Bianca's chewing Erica out. Bianca would have considered it a distraction at best and interference at worst, and it was quite intuitive of Kendall to realize she shouldn't get in the way, either physically or verbally, of Bianca's smackdown. (I was so grateful Jack didn't get in the way, either.)

Just finished today's ep
Wow...Eden turned it on--a whole nother level today! Yes, not the hysterics of yesterday, but cold, hard truth. She's dead inside right now--and the matter-of-factness with which she addressed Erica reflected that.
BK I'm with you on the moment Kendall almost jumped in. I was coming to post about it, actually. When Erica said to Bianca "I know you aren't yourself"--the absolute insensitivity and stupidity and STFU Erica of that moment almost make Kendall scream out.
Between Alicia's face and Eden's voice today--man! That gutteral voice of Eden's and Alicia's face contorting in pain and disgust, anger and, finally at the condo, unadulterated grief. All that she had been trying to control for Bianca's sake just poured out of her...Kendall was lost--wandering around the kitchen, doubled over...just lost.
I love WW. Gosh, I can't say it enough...when he held Bianca, quietly sobbing himself...*sniff*

Well, I'll freely admit that the siren call IS mostly in my head. But I'll happily go for Kenvid in the interim. Kaidan seems to be a hook-up once-a-year thing (though we didn't get any hot, hot sex this year).

Eden and Alicia kicked ass, but it's been covered very nicely by everyone here.
What did not kick ass? The stupid fight. That was the lamest fight ever. I was so annoyed by Anita's "We must stop it!" and Maria's commentary of, "No! They're fighting because of the pain, and the helplessness." Just shut it. No, seriously. Shut. Up. I don't even know why I was so annoyed by that, but I was. Maybe I'm just bitter that Aidan didn't get to beat Ryan's ass. He could've at least broken his arms so Ryan can't go around grabbing everyone in sight, particularly Kendall.
Greenlee was cool today. I love that crazy, dysfunctional family even though it's been torn to teensy, grieving shreds.

I don't "watch" the show except for the rare occasion. So, I don't have a point of reference for Kendal/Adian. If I saw them maybe I'd be on their ship.
I do understand the hotness of Adian...just not Kaiden. (yet?)

Hi, everyone. I normally only post in the GH thread, even though I stopped watching a few weeks ago, and I don't watch AMC, either, but just sort of follow what's going on through reading other's brilliant posts.
Anyway...this leads to why I'm here. I was talking to my mom on the phone last night, and she's a DOOL watcher (cue the *shudder*), who watched the ABC soaps in the 1970s and 80s. But when she was playing hooky from work on Monday she flipped over to AMC, and to quote her, "That is maybe the most emotional I have ever been watching a soap, and I don't even know Bianca or Kendall. I was bawling. And I thought to myself, 'Maybe I'm watching the wrong soap, because DAYS hasn't made me feel anything in years.'"
Anyway, she raved about Eden Riegel and Alicia Minshew's acting, even though she didn't know their names. So, I thought y'all might want to know that even people who don't watch the show were moved by Monday's episode.
Hell, maybe I was watching the wrong show all this time.

My favorite part of that dialogue was Anita's line that if they didn't stop them from fighting that "Both of them would walk out of there stupid"(or something like that). I laughed. Man I laughed. Oh Anita. Too late.

kaidan! Ahhh, the sweaty, posturing, heavy-breathing, fake-punch throwing, wife-beater wearing hotness of it all! I was waiting for them to kiss. Oh well.
As well as drinking Kinktinis, let's mix up a batch of Kaidanitas!
