Crackopuff
Man, that was one of the most painful hours of daytime television ever. Eden and Alicia were just amazing, they made Kendall and Bianca's grief so real, especially Bianca, Eden really sold that shit. Why do I have this horrible feeling that it's just going to get worse?

JR even got a tear out of me while he was wondering how he was going to tell Babe that Miranda was dead while he was rocking her.

MBJ, WW, SL, and VI were awesome too. MBJ in particular, he makes Reggie so real.

Am I the only one who doesn't think David Tom is bad? I think he is light years better than OldPaul. DT is making me hate Paul with a passion, BC, despite all the pretty, just made me hit the FF button.

kariyaki, while catching up on your recaps, it occurred to me we need to come up with a really good nickname for Paul. Not that Eeeeeevil Paul isn't entertaining, but it must be sorta tiresome to type after a while unless one creates a macro.

That's another thing I liked about Brock's Paul. I had such a great nickname for him (Paulnocchio). But now I'm at a loss.

I've been calling him Buge Eyez but I keep having the urge to call him Krazee-Eyez Killa. But since he's not a killer, yet, it doesn't fit. There is part of me that hopes he kills Lena so I can call him that. I mean she is leaving anyways, and if the rumor is true that she'll be killed, we might as well get a nickname for Paul out of it.

DT is making me hate Paul with a passion

I hate Paul with a passion now, and would still hate him, even if BC were still playing him. I'm not giving DT any credit for that, that's all because of the SL. I think if I didn't hate Paul now I would go to Hell.

ETA: I haven't seen today's show yet. I'm waiting for it to come on SoapNet, but I'm dreading it.

katesus7, yes, be sure to get yourself a supply of tissue. No one on this board is exaggerating when saying that it's brutal. And it starts right away, too, because there's about zero discussion of how to tell Bianca before Kendall is in Bianca's hospital room. I liked that, by the way--how Kendall is absolutely no-nonsense and firm. She tells Erica that Erica can't be the one to tell Bianca and that she herself needs to do it, and then goes. No discussion, no argument, just a "this is how it is" and then leaving straightaway instead of putting it off for a few minutes, which would have been totally understandable. (And Erica, of course, earns her first "shut up" from me for whining about not telling Bianca herself--ostensibly for Kendall's sake, but in reality because Erica's always me-me-me.) Kendall did take a good long time in Bianca's room, avoiding the truth until Bianca pinned her down, but who can blame her for that? Everything that followed--the denial, the deal-making (telling Kendall she wouldn't be mad at her), the panic and the hyperventiliating when she finally accepted the "truth" was so painful. It'll be so painful to rewatch and yet I must because the performances were so brilliant. Curse my need to analyze.

I forgot one other thing that made me smile a little--Bianca guessing that the reason Kendall hadn't seen Mimo yet was because she'd been with Bianca the entire time. Bianca's smile at her GF was so cute.

I'm pretty sure I would be hating on Paul even if a literal block of wood was playing him, but I agree that DT is a better actor than BC. The interesting thing, though, is that it actually works against him. Unlike BC, DT can play emotions, but here's the catch--he can only play one at a time. And for a character like Paul, the portrayal either needs to be a layered one, which DT cannot do, or a more emotionally disconnected one, which BC did in his robotlike way.

Speaking of Paul, I was thrilled when Krystal talked Tad out of accepting Paul's story. For once I wasn't even bothered by Krystal's cornpone expressions, since she was talking about what a dirtbag he was and how he needs to pay for whatever he's done.

Mostly I just keep reminding myself that Bianca stops believing that Miranda is dead very soon.

I must be heartless because, while I recognize that everyone was absolutely brilliant today [freakish OLTL bit aside], I didn't sniffle even once: I must be on drama overload. The closest I came to feeling anything other than the quotidian 'meh' was at the very end, when Jack lost it while hugging the cat carrier. I mean, the incubator.

Moving on - I appreciated Lena's willingness to put all of Maggie's crap aside to console her, but I hope she remembers to get a tetanus shot.

Erica was great until she opened her mouth and first tried to make it all.about.herself and then lied about not wishing for MiMo's death - because she did wish for it and got all snippy with god because he didn't pass down a miscarriage.

Danielle has already stepped on my last nerve: get your own clothes and go away.

Alicia and Eden rocked in so many directions and in so many ways they almost moved me, but then I got distracted by the hysteriacakes and had to mute the rattling sounds.

But, it was a good episode.

ETA: BK, I liked the absence of "leading up to" with Kendall and Bianca, too: I thought it was very effective.

We all know that Eden has the Emmy locked up for the past season. I haven't seen todays show yet but would it be fair to say that Eden should be working on next years acceptance speech? And Alicia, as well? I agree that it is torture to watch AMC but the acting chops have been shining bright lately.

Jenmarie, sorry to burst your bubble but it seems that Lena will go out with a whimper. No death, no nothing. She's apparently gonna leave Pine Valley for an family emergency. Exciting, no? Fah Q, McTrash!

CKD, Bwah! Thanks for the laugh. I tried to come up with something clever and funny but the mood of the show dampened my snarkyness.

edited cuz I accidentally let out a spoiler. I'm a big mouth.

This show is killing me. I started feeling the weeping coming on right away, but from the minute Kendall said "She's with Mona" I was gone.

And, you know, as soon as I knew this story was coming, I fully expected Alicia and Eden to make me cry buckets. I also had a feeling Walt would bring out some of my tears, too. David, yeah, probably. But, oh my God is Michael B Jordan bringing the waterworks for me. He has been absolutely amazing and heartbreaking in this whole SL. Next year's younger acting emmy should be his after this SL. He has hit every note of this whole thing pitch perfect. Amazing.

Everyone involved did great work with that scene where they hear Bianca screaming out. I hate, hate, hate that this show is just round after round of kick Bianca in the teeth, but the acting in this SL is just amazing almost across the board. I even kind of like JY, and that rarely happens. I hate that Ryan is so heavily involved, but I'm willing to overlook it right now, especially if Aidan gets to kick his ass tomorrow at the gym. Is it wrong to be so happy at the mere thought that there might be some sweaty Aidan/Ryan fighting tomorrow?
SkiffyPup
I didn't cry either. Same reason as Karyaki.
Love that Kinks pic and want to bear it's children.

when Jack lost it while hugging the cat carrier.

Hee! That cracked me up too. I've been nursing a big pile of indignation at this dead baby storyline, and reading that bit burst it quite nicely. Now I understand when people need to replace their keyboards - luckily I wasn't drinking anything, but if I had I would be mopping up right now.

If anyone has any spoilers to share about how long this dead baby thing goes on, PLEASE post it! I can't stand watching everyone grieving for Mimo. Give Bianca's baby back to her right now, dammit!

So everyone else gets to act with juicy material and Lena has to get Maggie cooties all over her? Bleh.
Mystic0
So what y'all are saying is this ep is gonna kill me, eh? Great. :(

It's funny, I watched all of last week thinking, "Hey, this ain't so bad! Eden's napping and Alicia is chilling low key. It's all good, no big trauma after all!". Then Friday's ep rolled on in and I knew some heavy shit was coming. Dude, that last scene where they brought in the incubator and Lena cluelessly yammered about Binky waking up? Egads, the pain, its a comin' and I'm still not ready. Noper, not ready at all.

I'm not even close to catching up on all the posts but damn, I've missed you guys! Sledders rule, yo.
Black Knight
fearless, that animation is priceless. I love it.

Hey, remember when Lena used to have a brain and could figure out a situation at a glance? When her cluelessness was merely a put-on to throw off other people while she merrily spied her way through a company? Wasn't that nice? However, it did give Alicia the opportunity to do that great bit where Kendall steeled herself and said the words, "Miranda is dead," for the first time, in an attempt to prepare herself for telling Bianca. Kendall was very focused from the first minute on what she needed to accomplish.

That reminds me, there was an interesting little aspect with Bianca/Kendall that I forgot to mention before, but that I quite liked: For all Bianca's denial and her yelling at Kendall, she never accuses her sister of lying or trying to hurt her. She never crosses over that line, because this is Kendall, and even though this is the one situation in which it'd be understandable if Bianca lost it completely and paid no attention to what she was saying, this is still Kendall, her loving, protective, insecure sister and it would rip her up emotionally if Bianca accused her of such things, even though she'd intellectually understand the situation. Along the same lines, I don't think it's any coincidence that it was Kendall's pointing out over and over that she would bring Miranda to Bianca if she could that finally started getting through to Bianca. If there's one thing Bianca's learned and knows, even when she's absolutely hysterical, it's that Kendall would never hurt her.

And that, again, is why Bianca's an emotionally safer choice for Kendall than Erica, who fires the "You're trying to hurt me!" and "You're evil!" accusations at anyone who does something she doesn't like, but especially Kendall. (Bianca hears a lot of the former one from Erica, but never the latter.)

ETA: Mystic0! (hug) I'm glad you made it back here sooner than expected, my fellow Sister in Perviness. We missed you.

Me too, man. I get to watch live tomorrow, so I can bleat at the board like old times. Heh. I won't get to watch today's ep till everyone gets the hell out of my crib (I get the impression that this isn't the ep to watch with distractions present) but I know my stupid VCR started taping late. Did I miss much in the first ten minutes? Should I shake my fist in impotent anger at the VCR gods?
katesus7
I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse that I read the boards to find out what the highlights of the episodes are before watching. On the one hand, I notice things I might've missed, and am able to steel myself for the tough scenes, but on the other hand, it just makes some scenes like, well, EVERY scene today so much harder to watch. That was rough, and yes, I went through many, many kleenexes. Of course, I cry at just about anything.

I am glad that they cut away from Bianca's initial agony, and screaming. As heartbreaking as it was watching everyone's reactions, I think it was more powerful to do it that way. And, gosh, I don't think I could've taken watching Eden try to go through that. I can't imagine how hard today was for her to film, or Alicia, but if this crappy SL has to happen, thank God it involves these two, because they have me absolutely hooked no matter what.

But, oh my God is Michael B Jordan bringing the waterworks for me.

Word. At first I was pissed that his big emotional scene came with the new chick, but he was amazing. And it makes sense - he felt he had to stay as strong as possible in front of his family, but he can let his guard down in front of her; there's no feeling of responsibility, and being the "man".

when Jack lost it while hugging the cat carrier.

Great, that scene with Jack tore me up, but now I can't stop thinking of it as a cat carrier, and laughing! Which is a good thing.

I love David. I'm not sure when that happened - I used to hate him with a passion, but I think he might be my favorite male character on this show. I'm glad he got in at least a little bit of smackdown on Erica before they carted him away. Hee! It took three of them to do it.

I'm sure Erica is going through torment, and I'd like to think that she's coming to the realization that she was wrong, and made things worse, and was a complete dumbass, but I really doubt it. I think in the end, she's just going to turn this into a "poor me, I was just trying to be a good Mom" pity party, and not learn one damn thing. She's the only one that left me completely emotionally cold today. I didn't care at all about her. Heck, even MAGGIE had me sniffling.

Oh, and shut. UP. Ryan. Kick his ass tomorrow, Aiden. Please.

Bianca and Robin Scorpio from GH should go bowling together. They'd have a lot to commiserate about:

Except, I like Bianca. Robin is a self righteous bitch (won't forgive her for telling AJ about Michael).

I had to leave right before Kendall told Bianca. Does anyone have this on tape or is it online somewhere. SoapCity doesn't do AMC.

That’s the only time I liked Robin.

I feel like such a minority on this board. I like BAM, I don’t like Lena, and I like Paul and think he can be redeemed. Afterall, he’s on OLTL. If Todd can be redeemed, surely Paul can.

And I still don’t like Babe or KWAK. And no matter how they manipulate me I never will unless Babe gets away from JR and KWAK gets away from Tad. I really hate Tad. I have never liked him at all.

Me too! Though I thought I could never hate any characters like I hate Jason and Sonny, but I think Paul might have proven me wrong.

Hopefully, those three will team up to briing MiMo home.

Eden, Olga, fans, and ... vagina!

See the pics. They are at the SS. Olga in that shirt - looking happily mischeivious!
I am going to miss her.

Hey, I think Maggie was much more gut-wrenching in her grief than Lena could even come close to. Lena just seems detached.

MBJ was mediocre and that scene with Danielle was just awkward. Mostly because I was staring at the patch on her shoulder.

Susan Lucci's inability to move her forward makes all of her scenes strange. It was okay when Erica was emotionally non-expressive but she's supposed to be crying now and the shiny crap under her eyes and the face that refuses to move is simply distracting.

JY looked uncomfotrable delivering that speech, like he was bored. That kid is not very good, at anything.

I hate to look like I'm complaining about everything but when you have Eden giving her all and losing her shit, everything and everyone else truly is subpar.

Eden was superb. Just...there are no words. Honestly, no words. Alicia brought her A-game which is like Eden's C-game but good nonetheless, at least she can cry.

Vincent also did an excellent job, he gave a subdued and balanced performance, I didn't want David to stop tearing into Erica either. Rip her apart!
jenmarie
Damn. I bawled like a baby. Stupid show.

Poor Bianca. Sniff. Poor Kendall. Sniff. Poor Jack. Sniff. Poor Reggie. Sniff. Shut up Erica, I'm not crying for you.

Erica's really a delusional psycho for her sit there and say she never wished the pain of Miranda's death on Bianca, when we all know that's exactly what she's been wishing for ever since she found out Bianca was pregnant. And Ryan sitting there feeding her delusional fantasies was just too much. I sort of forgave Krystal for doing the same thing because for her the way she loves her daughter and given the situation, I don't think it's possible for her to comprehend the way Erica thinks. But Ryan doesn't know shit about anything especially a mother's love and needs to just shut the fuck up.

I know this whole situation isn't JR's fault and I shouldn't begrudge him being happy about being a father but when he was sitting there holding Miranda talking about how he didn't deserve this. I wanted to yell "No you don't you asshole so GIVE HER BACK TO BIANCA!" Grrr. I hate this SL.

But I imagine JR will take one look at his son, then say he'd rather keep Miranda. Because Miranda? Is way cuter than "Ace".

Jenmarie, sorry to burst your bubble but it seems that Lena will go out with a whimper. No death, no nothing. She's apparently gonna leave Pine Valley for an family emergency. Exciting, no? Fah Q, McTrash!

No? Well that's fine. I really didn't want Lena to die, especially given everything Bianca's already been through. I figured that's exactly why McTrash would kill Lena, to make Bianca suffer some more. I still want to call Paul Krazee-Eyez Killa though. Ooooh! Maybe Naggie will discover what Paul is up to and then he'll have to kill her! Then I would be very conflicted because I wouldn't know whether to love him or hate him. Go! Krazee-Eyez Killa! Go! Go earn your nickname!

Moving on - I appreciated Lena's willingness to put all of Maggie's crap aside to console her, but I hope she remembers to get a tetanus shot.

Bwah!

Okay to go totally OT --

Eden, Olga, fans, and ... vagina!

A long time ago, I went shopping in Hollister with my boyfriend and I was checking out this really cute, striped cream colored skirt when he comes behind me and says, "Okay, why girls would wear a skirt that looks like the folds of a vagina is beyond me." I just laughed and gave him a look for being retarded, but then I realized that it REALLY, REALLY did look like the folds of a vagina! Man, if only I could find a picture of it online...anyway, I just imagined Olga sporting that skirt while wearing that T-shirt and totally lost my shit.
caitmcg

Actually, Erica is a delusional psycho (as well as a cold, selfish bitch) because it never occured to her that losing the baby - before or after birth - would cause Bianca pain, no matter how many times Bianca or anyone else told her she loved her baby. As far as she was concerned, once the baby was dead, everything would be hunky dory, Bianca could repress her memory, and they could move on to a happy, all-about-Erica, rapebebyfree future blah blah lamebitchcakes.

Fuck Las Vegas, after Bianca rips her a new one, it's Erica's turn to fall in the mineshaft and get visits from her truth-telling conscience, except I don't think she has one.

Yeah, I'm all about the Erica hate right now. Plus, she walks in on Kinks in bed, and that's just wrong!
krizmic
OK, even after "steeling myself" here at the board, I cried...and it wasn't even Eden and Alicia that made me cry at first. It was MBJ and all those in the waiting area...and (sick but true) all that JR/Jamie/Miranda stuff b/c I was just screaming inside "She's not yours!! Give her back!!"

Eden's voice in that second to last scene...dear God, just shoot me. It was like she was dead inside, or possessed.

I have a self torture thing--I'm gonna go watch it again--more commentary second time

Oh yeah--Jackson...I love Walt Willey--I want him to be my uncle Jack!

Yeah I don't know if Olga is playing it in a way where we're supposed to assume Lena never was attached to the baby, or if she's just ready to move on to Spooks, but lately, she seems bored.
Mystic0
Damn, that was painful. I don't know how the hell Kendall sat there and listened to Binks go on about their lovechild for ten minutes. That was killing me, man. Oh, TPTB twisted the knife in every way imaginable today. The little things were even harsh. Like when Binky said that part about giving birth without her coach and it panned to Kendall? Ouch. Kinks just killed me. There's just not enough praise that can be heaped on Alicia and Eden. Phenomenal, man. Eden's freakishly talented. She has to be damn good at her job to make me feel so completely uncomfortable watching some of these scenes. Alicia, typically, just slayed me. I felt so hellaciously bad for Kinks. Paul needs to die.

Speaking of needing to die, Erica... I hate her more everyday. I hope Binks rips her apart. Erica's speech about how she felt every one of Bianca's wounds just made me crazy. Erica? You suck. Most of Bianca's (and Kendall's) wounds are from your stilettos, bitch. Grrr. Hate her... Which brings me to:

Go David! You tell that shrew!

Walt and MBJ totally got me all sniffly. Rebecca's thirty seconds of screen time was well done, I thought. Greens is too emotionally stunted to face up to the level of misery Jack had going on. Sure, Greens could have tried but I could see why she didn't. Everyone, 'cept a few notable exceptions, was awesome today.
Black Knight
Yeah, I'm all about the Erica hate right now. Plus, she walks in on Kinks in bed, and that's just wrong!

I'm still amazed at just how stupid Erica is to walk in. It's not a welcoming look Kendall shoots her, she did not part on the best of terms with Bianca by any means, Bianca's still doing that thing where you're sobbing so hard you actually can't get any tears out anymore because you're just so busy trying to grab breath, and she should notice Jack/Lena/Naggie have the sense not to interrupt...and if all that weren't enough, Bianca's voice in the previews should be sufficient to let Erica know that she should run screaming. But she's not. Good. Tear her up, Bianca! Erica would be better off facing a grizzly bear again than her daughter. While I feel zero sympathy for Erica--hooray, she finally figured out that her love for her daughters should be the most important thing, but way too late--I will say that I liked how she referred to Bianca as her soul, because it mirrored Bianca calling Miranda her soul a little earlier.

But I imagine JR will take one look at his son, then say he'd rather keep Miranda. Because Miranda? Is way cuter than "Ace".

I was thinking the exact same thing. Another advantage of Mimo's is that she coos much more than she cries.

I can't imagine how hard today was for her to film, or Alicia, but if this crappy SL has to happen, thank God it involves these two, because they have me absolutely hooked no matter what.

I'm pretty sure this is the day where Eden had to take some contest winners out to dinner afterwards--she told them these were the toughest scenes of her career, and the show publicist had told them during the day just how tough these scenes would be to watch--and I remember they were being apologetic to Eden about it, since she was exhausted, and she said that she was glad to go out with them, because she didn't want to go home. Seeing today's ep, I don't blame her.

swtrgrl, drop me a line at dagnytag45@aol.com, I can send you the ep.

I rewatched today, more than once actually--it got less painful and I could really focus on individual bits about the performances more. And I think the thing that really stood out for me on the rewatch is just how raw Eden's performance is--her voice in particular is just so raw and guttural most of the time. First those screamed nos (at least we didn't have to see her face then), and then in the scene after, when Kendall started in again with the Miranda's-with-Mona stuff, she just tears another strangled "no" out of her throat and you can hear just how close Bianca is to losing it altogether. Another little touch of Bianca not crossing the line with Kendall despite her state of mind--she tells Kendall to stop talking several times, but she never tells Kendall to shut up.

The key moment when Kendall finally got a chink in Bianca's wall of denial was a little frustrating in a way, because I really wish AMC could have done a split-screen or something. Just hearing Alicia's voice, the way she said "I would do anything if I could give her back to you, but I can't!", running her words together in basically one anguished wail, let me know what a sobbing unhinged mess Kendall was at that moment, and Bianca's stunned look of dawning realization also underlined that. I really wanted to see Alicia's face, but at the same time Eden's shot was so good, and so important to the emotional story, that I understood why the director chose not to go to the other camera. And yet, too bad, because I think that's when Kendall fell apart the most. I wanted both their shots at that moment.

The part where Kendall was begging Bianca to stay also got to me, because I realized on my rewatch that Kendall really meant it in the larger metaphorical sense, not just that Bianca needed to stay in her bed. The panic in Kendall's eyes at the thought of losing Bianca is quite obvious, and heartbreaking.

I also noticed on my rewatch how out of her depth Greenlee was. David brushed her off, Reggie brushed her off, she followed Jack but in the end couldn't approach him to comfort him. I actually felt a little sorry for her, since she's one of the more emotionally-stunted women and she's trying really hard. If she had acted at all "how dare they not let me comfort them" as Ryan's done at points, I wouldn't have had any sympathy at all, but I really didn't feel like Greenlee's attempts today were me-me-me. She has grown past that.

Oh, big fat word on this scene. I was doing the same thing. For that very sequence, I was actually yelling "cut over to Kendall!" because I so desperately wanted to see her face for that particular piece of dialogue. Damn, that was a tough choice on the director's part (if you've ever seen the movie Soapdish, it shows how they lay a show together, the director cuts around to different cameras while they tape a master-- no editing later) and he obviously chose to stay on Bianca. If it had been my choice, I probably would have gone with cutting to Kendall, though.
jenmarie

You're so right, caitmcg, I didn't think about it that way. Gosh, now I hate Erica even more. Can't wait for Bianca to tear into her tomorrow.

I think they could've cut to Kendall quickly in that scene, and not have lost the impact. I too wanted to see Kendall at that moment. But I understand why the director chose to focus solely on Bianca.
Dezbot
Possible nickname for Paul: Nepotism!Paul. Bah.

I didn't cry, even though Eden did a helluva job selling it. I just hate this storyline so very fucking much that I refuse to give up any of my tears to it. Fuck McTrash. Fuck her very fucking much.

OK, upon second viewing, here is what I have to say:

1) Reggie. MBJ gets better by the day...at least when he's talking about Bianca and Kendall. I am so glad they've chosen to make it a strong bond between those 3. When he left the hospital with "NO! Hell, no"...WORD Reggie! And then going and lashing out on Danielle...totally in character and so great.

2) The "supporting cast" and by that I mean all in the waiting room today...their faces...heck, I even liked Maggie and felt for her today. David, Greenlee, Jack, Erica...

3) When JR said "I don't deserve them" I was all "No! You don't deserve Mimo, so give her back!" (Anyone else desperate for Babe to say baby boy one of these days?!)

4) Ryan, get away from Erica...and both of you STFU (Go David! Wish you had ranted longer)

5) Weaving Mimo's face into key scenes and pieces of dialogue today was an extra knife twist

And now for Kinks...gosh, I have a lot to say about them! Let's just start with WoW...Alicia and Eden bring out the best in each other!

1) Kendall forcing herself to say "Miranda is dead" to Lena, instead of leaving it at "Bianca's baby is dead."

2) Eden's quiet joy over Miranda being in the world.

3) Kendall, with Bianca, trying to prolong the inevitable...talking about "the delivery" and "you delivered" so as to avoid saying Miranda's name. She couldn't say it.

4) Eden recanting Mimo's birth...and the look of torture, anguish, pain and despair on Alicia's face.

5) "This is why I was born. To be Miranda's mommy. That's who I am." *sniff* *tear* *wail*

6) Kendall softly and calmly explaining the helicopter crash and it escalating to anguish as she says "She's with Mona now!"

7) Eden's voice and face through the rest of the show...first arguing "She can't be with Mon-she can't be with Grandma!" Then the struggle on her face between "It has to be a lie" and "Kendall would never lie to me" Bianca was torn between the two voices in her head and it was all over Eden's face. And Eden's voice during "I don't exist without her"...man, the tears!

8) Kendall/Alicia's desperation to get Bianca to stay and breathe and calm down, while at the same time dying inside for Bianca and Mimo and herself. Their whole world, their dreams and hopes, were gone...

OK, enough from me...damn, that was good soap today. Tomorrow, Bianca rips Erica--YAY!

Thought I'd take a time out from the misery to post these picture links I found while browsing through the Olga board. They're of Mean Girls, which comes out in less than a month now and I'm on the edge of my seat with the wait. I know I could sure use a laugh with the way AMC is lately.Movie poster, still #1, still #2. Jonathan Bennett (ex-JR) isn't in the pics, just Amanda Seyfried (ex-Joni) and Lacey Chabert (ex-Bianca).

Due to all the praise and tears and because I'm a masochist that has no willpower whatsoever, I just watched the episode. So, I will now continue to kiss Eden's ass because she was just...wow. There are really no words. I wasn't brought to tears, but Eden's performance was heart wrenching. Damn her! Girl really knows how to twist the knife while throwing salt in the wound.
Rif_Randle
Thanks, kariyaki. I can't wait for Mean Girls either. Amanda + Tina Fey + teeny bopper fun=Eeeeeee! Amanda looks very Heather Graham-ish in those stills.

I haven't even watched today's episode yet. I'm kind of scared to as I know I'll be crying buckets.

I was only halfway paying attention to the ep, because I've been so annoyed by the baby-snatching, Paul, combining two shows, etc. So I was completely shredded when Eden screamed. I felt like the people in the waiting room- it just killed me. Possibly the most amazing thing I've ever seen and heard on tv.
Black Knight
I don't know how the hell Kendall sat there and listened to Binks go on about their lovechild for ten minutes. That was killing me, man.

You know, I was thinking during the rewatch that Kendall did that very much on purpose. On one level, yeah, it obviously hurt her, but on another level, it let her stay in an alternate world where Mimo is still alive for a few minutes, before she had to get back to reality. There was genuine happiness on her face when Bianca told her that she'd nursed Mimo. (And, of course, in the end, listening to Bianca talk about Miranda had to be less painful ultimately for Kendall than what followed.) And again I have to thank the powers that be that it's Eden who has this SL and all the rub-the-salt-in dialogue of the first twenty minutes. Another actress would've punched that shit up to the max, but Eden stayed very understated and made it all go down smoothly.

Then the struggle on her face between "It has to be a lie" and "Kendall would never lie to me" Bianca was torn between the two voices in her head and it was all over Eden's face.

Yup, I liked that too. In addition to what I said before about how it shows Bianca's complete trust in Kendall, it's also another reason why it had to be Kendall who told Bianca about Miranda. If it'd been Erica in there, Bianca would still be refusing to believe right now. Of course, Bianca was right not to believe. Sigh. It's so annoying when I have to watch a character who's actually right be convinced that she's wrong. Good thing Bianca will be back to believing Miranda's alive shortly. Of course, everyone else will then irritate the shit out of me by condescending to Bianca about how she's wrong. If AMC has Kendall do that, I will scream. I don't think she ever would on her own, but I could see good ol' Useless Uncle Jack (though I do love him) lecturing Kendall on what's best for Bianca and how Bianca shouldn't be indulged in her wild fantasies or whatever.

Thanks for the pics, kariyaki. It looks like a fun movie. I thought the trailer was a kick.
kariyaki
I liked that, by the way--how Kendall is absolutely no-nonsense and firm. She tells Erica that Erica can't be the one to tell Bianca and that she herself needs to do it, and then goes. No discussion, no argument, just a "this is how it is" and then leaving straightaway instead of putting it off for a few minutes, which would have been totally understandable.

Oh, I meant to comment on this before but forgot once I got going on the direction discussion. I loved this moment too. While Kendall definitely had good reason to procrastinate a teensy bit, I think she chose to barrel on over to Bianca (1) to get it over with and (2) because any hesitation would be an invitation for Erica to protest and Kendall would NEVER get out of there. It was good that Kendall hit her with how it was going to go down and beat feet. No fuss, no muss, no rebuttal, no whining.
swtrgrl
it never occured to her that losing the baby - before or after birth - would cause Bianca pain, no matter how many times Bianca or anyone else told her she loved her baby.

No. Erica is too busy thinking about how Bianca's loss is all about Erica. It's always all about how it effects her. It doesn't matter that Bianca is in agony. All that matters is that the love child of Bianca's rapist is dead. There will be no painful rape memories for Erica now that the child is dead. I hate her with the fiery passion of 10,000 suns. Hate.

I love how take charge she is. Even in undefinable grief, Kendall can look at the situation and know what's best for the family, specifically Bianca.
Nikita582
Hi I'm something of a lurker, so this is my first post. I saw the episode even though I said I wasn't going to. Alicia and Eden were amazing I really felt for Bianca, but hate this storyline with a passion. Even my Dad (who watches) says the writers must hate Bianca for all the horrible things they put her through. What I find even worst is if they play this story as planned we will have to wait years for a resolution. That includes being forced to watch Bianca mourn a child that is not even dead but living right across town.

And she will only be in more pain once Lena dies, maybe this is a set up for a recast Bianca if Eden chooses to leave this summer. She can go to Europe for a couple of weeks to clear her head and come back with a new face, so to speak.

I might not watch for a couple of days (did I mention how much I hate this storyline, the whole town looks sad) or tape it so I can FF through the other storylines i.e the boring stuff. I have some term papers that will be due soon I need to get cracking on them.

I too am so glad that Kendall told, instead of asked, and walked into Bianca's room before anyone else could object. I couldn't have taken it if it was Erica breaking the news to Bianca, beginning with the words "Sweetheart, this is all for the best."

And Ryan? Are you still here? The Thing That Wouldn't Leave.

I have been a sometime viewer of AMC since my hatred for Dixie Martin chased me away from the show years ago. That said, yesterday was extraordinary, I forgot I was watching a soap and AMC no lesss.

1. The portrayers of Bianca and Kendall deserves awards for their breathtaking performances. I haven't cried that much over a soap since Lucky's death on GH. Excellent, excellent work ladies.

2. WW-Jackson Montgomery was excellent, very subtle until his callapse at the end. I am so happy AMC didn't relegate him to just holding up Erica during this time, afterall, he is in pain too. He had me in tears when he tossed the box and then snatched it back up, so much emotion.

3. I have not been a fan of David during the times that I have watched in the past but I couldn't help liking him yesterday and actually through all of this. VI did a wonderful job playing his grieve for his child and Bianca's child all rolled in one.

4. I say, Stop the madness to those who didn't feel that the actor who played Reggie did a good job. I thought he was wonderful yesterday and throughout all of this. He has been steadily improving in every scene and he was good to begin with so to me he's just excellent right now.

5. Erica left me cold, I guess she is supposed to but I am a big Lucci fan so usually, I can feel her regardless of Erica's selfish acts, not right now.

6. I am really starting to like Greens, I think pulling the character back was a good move by AMC.

7. I can't say Babe has won me over completely but AMC is doing a good job creating sympathy for the character.

8. I like JR, unpopular opinion I know but I do like him and I think that JY has improved. They should have him work more with Kendall and Binks in the future, his scenes with those two ladies are great.

9. Jamie needs to be recast, no way is this Tad's son, perhaps he was switched at birth.

10.Paul needs to die a very painful soap death complete with whodunit.

Oh Olga, how do I love thee, let me count the ways. I am sooo her bitch! Her posts are always classy, funny, and sincere. And what can I say about her in that "I love my Vagina" t-shirt. I have all these thoughts running around in my gutter-brain but I'm gonna keep it clean. Yep, clean. So fresh and so clean.

Okay, enough Olga pimping. I also thought Lena seemed less than gut-wrenched about Bianca's 'dead' baby. I'm thinking Olga is ready to move on...like a lot of us. And who can blame her, she's got MI-5 on her brain. I don't think the challenging thing would be to bring on the heartbreak and act sad so much as it would be to try and keep yourself interested in this asinine storyline.

I am so very much looking forward to watching Binks tell Erica off today. Let her have it Binks, she's had it coming for a long time!

And usually, I love Reggie but I could give a rat's ass about him and that chickie he's been stashing away at Greenlee's. Although I did like his little speech about the baby dying and all. I'd love to see a scene with Reggie & Unca Jack talking about Mimo.

So let me get this straight, is there growing love for JR in this thread? Hey, I ain't got a problem. I've been pimping him a little lately.

Erica is too busy thinking about how Bianca's loss is all about Erica. It's always all about how it effects her. It doesn't matter that Bianca is in agony. All that matters is that the love child of Bianca's rapist is dead. There will be no painful rape memories for Erica now that the child is dead.

In all fairness to Erica, I do believe there is an element of "Man, my daughter's in horrible pain" going on. Of course, Erica being Erica, she's quickly making it about herself, i.e. "Why am I not the one telling my daughter? I must go comfort my daughter!" and so on. Erica has always been the sort of mother who, while responding to her daughter's pain, also can be seen mentally making "Welcome Home, Bianca!" banners. She's always used Bianca's pain as a way to get her talons into her daughter further. And I don't think that she's for a minute connected Bianca's pain back to herself at all--Kendall's words did seem to get to her for a few minutes, and she started thinking a little bit about what she said to Bianca, but after several episodes of coddling by other characters, that's gone out the window. However, Bianca just may get through to her today in the process of kicking Erica's ass to the curb. I'm bringing popcorn.

You know, I was thinking today that at least Bianca, at the age of 20, has now been hit with the big trifecta of the most painful worse-than-death soap storylines: She was raped, someone she was in love with was murdered, and her baby "died". As much as God hates Bianca, yesterday really can't be topped. AMC will have no choice but to go back to the more "trivial" tortures such as lying cheating girlfriends, dying relatives/friends, childbirth in remote cabins, and eating disorders.

10.Paul needs to die a very painful soap death complete with whodunit.

No, no whodunit. I want a public quartering, with the Sisters Kane leading the mob.

I think that's because Alicia and Eden can pretty much carry anyone to a good acting performance. I don't think JY is terribly good, but he's not unwatchable (e.g., Carlos or Tarzan) either. For instance, I wonder how JR's "dramatic" scenes in the past few weeks would've looked if it were Shaggy and not JY in the role.

I think pulling [Greenlee] back was a good move

Well, when you take her out of any scene with Grabby McFrankenbrow, she's easily one of my favorite characters.

Yay for the screenshots from Mean Girls, kariyaki. Have you been to the official website? Some pretty funny material on there.

Okay, I think all Lucci's surgical maintenance has inhibited her ability to cry. For god's sake, she has snot coming out of her nose, but not a single tear in evidence, not even hovering on an eyelash. That's not natural.

You go, Bianca. She's got Erica's number, alright.

Damn. I think ER was even better today than yesterday. That was awesome.
