You're right. I agree that Babe's going to be told that she's the one who can't have more children. Looking at Adam's dialogue in particular from Friday, this is totally being set up for a custody battle between Bianca and the Chandlers. Adam is already hella attached to Miranda, and if he believes that his own grandchild is dead and that Babe can't have more children, he will push to keep Miranda at any cost. Yet another reason why I think the truth about Miranda will come out long before the truth about Kelly Buchanan taking Babe's baby. The Chandlers don't have much incentive to fight for custody, even if they've bonded with Miranda, if they know they have their own living baby right over a few towns away. Further prediction: Babe will be pushed and manipulated into going along initially and eventually decide to do the right thing, perhaps after remembering her own words to Bianca in the cabin, that they need to stick together.

I didn't think about this the first time I watched Friday's ep because I was too caught up in the sadness at the end, but Lena being all bouncy happy about Bianca waking up was just stupid. Lena? Bianca would've had to be told, at the very least, that her baby was thrown out of a helicopter and is missing. She was better off unconscious as long as possible, you dumbass.

In regards to how much God hates Bianca, at least Bianca's realized that "I love you" is a curse that consistently brings disaster down on her head. Now she just needs to learn to not utter the sentences "I'm happy," "I feel at peace," and "I feel hopeful/optimistic for the future" either. Heh. But at least the Big Man Upstairs does approve of her relationship with Kendall and encourages that. Perhaps that's the real problem--He doesn't approve of the open aspect of Kinks's relationship and will keep doing bad shit to them to keep them continually turning to each other, until they realize that they should only be with each other. Apparently incest is fine as long as it's monogamous...

Call me crazy, but I really think that's the Big Man Downstairs...

While I've never been a big fan of the Voldemort/VoldeSpawn storyline, as Bianca's pregnancy became more of reality, I've been cautiously optimistic, namely, hoping for the best while preparing for the worst. That said, there are only three words do describe my feelings for SwapFest 2004:

I'm no Babe fan, because of her perpetual lying, cheating and/or scheming at JR's & Jamie's expense, but now I feel sorry for her. Regardless of her sins, past & present & Krystal's enabling of them, Babe doesn't deserve to lose her child as punishment, nor does Bianca, for that matter. Speaking of Bianca, I feel even sorrier for her. Like she hasn't suffered enough already! Between her eating disorder, her coming out, getting raped, getting pregnant & having Erica Kane for a mother, Bianca's life has been one nightmare after another, with few exceptions. To say that Bianca will be devastated by MiMo's "death" is an understatement. Poor Bianca's been through so much Hell already, I wouldn't be suprised if TIIC called her JoBianca from now on. Erica's attitude pisses me off, too. As always, Erica's made someone else's problems All. About. Her. Frankly, what she said about MiMo's future didn't bother me; it was how she said it. Given Erica's reaction, it's no wonder that Bianca, Kendall, Jack, etc. kept the truth from her. MiMo's & Bianca's lives are gonna be tough enough without Erica's bullshit making things worse.



I beg to differ. I've watched OLTL for decades & while Kevin's made some huge mistakes in his marriage to Kelly, but she's made plenty of bad choices, too. At least Kevin didn't ask Kelly to endanger her life with a high-risk pregnancy, lie to him about their child's death, depriving him of the chance to grieve in the process nor to steal one woman's child while letting another think that hers died. And don't get me started on Paul & Todd's parts in all this. Granted, losing a child is devastating, but it doesn't excuse Kelly's, Paul's or Todd's actions. Kelly may have suffered, but Bianca's been through worse. Along with Babe, Bianca & their babies, Kevin's a victim in this mess, IMO; Kelly, Paul & Todd, otoh, deserve whatever suffering they'll get from it, as far as I'm concerned.

I was grocery shopping today and flipped through the most recent SOD--y'know, the one with the killing-off of DAYS' beloved and storied Alice Horton on the cover, by having a doughnut shoved into her mouth no less (it's always good to keep in mind that as bad as things get, they can always get worse)--and finally read some cheering spoilers for a change: Eden talks about the baby switch SL, and it turns out we won't have to suffer through much of Grieving!Bianca, because apparently Bianca realizes pretty early on that her daughter's still alive and starts looking for her. Of course, everyone else thinks she's crazy for it, but at least Bianca won't be crying for months on end, catatonic, suicidally depressed, whatever. Hopefully Binks convinces Kendall soon after so that Alicia will also stop breaking my heart over and over.

I hope that's not the direction they go, but I could certainly see it happening. If a custody battle does happen, I hope by then Erica and Bianca have patched things up enough for Bianca to allow Erica to be there for her during the custody battle. I would think that having force of Erica behind her would help get custody back. Not that she would really need all that much help, it is her daughter after all. That she would even have to fight for custody of the baby she lost through no fault of her own seems absurd, but that's McTrash.



I don't think it will take much convincing given Kendall's comment to JR, that she looked in the baby's eyes and saw Bianca. I think she knows the truth deep down inside, but the evidence that Miranda is dead is so overwhelming that it's drowning out any gut feeling she might have. I imagine Bianca lets Lena in on what she believes, and that leads to Lena investigating for Bianca which leads to Lena's death.

I caught some of last week's episodes on Soapnet today, which is unusual because I stopped watching AMC regularly a while ago. Last week's episodes? That was some good soap! Particularly that last scene on Friday with everyone at the hospital. Good, good acting on the part of everyone.

It doesn't seem like a popular sentiment around here, but I think JY's acting has improved by leaps and bounds and leaps again. He is soooo much better on AMC than he ever was on TFGH. He doesn't even yell as much anymore. His scenes with Kendall made me all teary.

I also thank the Soap Gods that I've given up on OLTL -- the new Paul is AWFUL. Awful. So very awful. The old Paul was only passively bad. This one is aggressively bad. They need to keep him in Lanview and stop inflicting him on the AMC audience. His scenes with Tad could have been so good -- but MEK was acting circles around him. It was kind of embarassing.

I might have to start TiVoing AMC again. Dammit.

Both Pauls are equally horrid, as far as I'm concerned. At least this one can keep his eyes open.

I think we're supposed to hate Paul, so if you hate DT, he's probably doing his job. Paul, I think, is destined to be a short-term character. The baby switch thing will be laid on his shoulders enough to keep the other characters involved salvageable after he leaves.

About Bianca: If Bianca doesn't manage to convince Kendall very quickly I'm going to find the whole thing totally implausible. (Yes, it's already unbelievable, but there's a difference between unbelievable and implausible when you're talking about fiction, IMHO.) Kendall is more than Bianca's loving girlfister -- she's Bianca's ally against the world. Also, I would find it a nice use of history -- specifically, Erica stealing "Sonya" aka Maddie -- if Erica gets convinced fairly easily. Erica's been on the other end of the baby-stealing thing, and IMHO that's the thing she's done that's the least forgiveable. Having her believe in her daughter for reasons related to that would be cool continuity and would let Erica redeem herself a bit for all that.

I'm curious as to what the consensus from an AMC pov is with regard to Paul, Kelly and Todd. On the OL board there is much discussion as to Paul taking the rap, Kelly being let off the hook b/c of her willful ignorance/post partum depression/mental instability, and Todd willfully ignorant.

Well, this maybe belongs in the OLTL thread, but perhaps this SL allows the rules to bend a tad. I think Kelly will be blamed for lying about the child being hers, but will receive less moral outrage because she believes the child is unwanted.

My feelings for Todd are the reason I don't watch that show every day and no longer post on that board, so I'm pretty well inclined to have him hang for this. He's let mothers believe their babies were dead before, for heaven's sake. Like I said before, I didn't watch for a year after that. It took the return of Mitch to bring me back to the fold.

The only big-time victim on the OLTL side is Kevin. I agree with Slashgirl. Nothing Kevin has done in the history of the character is as bad as this. I can't believe some people want to string him up and still lurve Todd to pieces.

And to bring this back around to AMC, as much as I hate this SL, I agree that the scene at the end Friday was AMAZING. I got chills.

Well, Kevin remaining a victim all depends on what he does once finding out the truth, as is the case for JR and Adam. I'm quite confident that Boobe will probably want to return Mimo to Bianca but this custody battle rumor might end up planting JR and Adam over onto the villain side if they refuse to acknowledge the truth and go about covering it up or something. Same deal with Kevin. If he finds out the truth, yet does nothing to rectify the wrong-doing then he's no longer a victim and becomes an accessory.

I assume you mean BC couldn't keep his eyes open because all DT knows how to do is open his eyes. He opens them wide and does that crazy bug eyed shit.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Brock Cuchna, terrible actor that he was.

I hate Paul and want him dead. My feelings regarding Kelly are still out. I'm not forgetting that it was her request to Paul to find her a baby that set this whole thing in motion. Even though she's been told by Paul the mother abandoned the baby, I think that if she were to find out now the truth about how Paul got the baby she wouldn't give it back. Would she have taken the baby to begin with if she knew the truth? Probably not, but now that she's got the baby there's no way she'd give it up. I think Kevin would give the baby back, if he knew the truth especially given his own history and the fact that he never knew his sister Natalie until she was in her twenties because she was stolen from Viki at birth.

And Todd? Well Todd is Todd. I like Todd, but I may not at the end of this SL. There is some question about how much Todd knows, and there is a spoiler about him using an article about a helicopter crash against Paul. So he must know something, but how much?

I just remember watching an entire episode in which BC kept his eyes closed the whole time. I think he was trying to be drunk, but he just looked stupid.

Yeah, DT does do this strange bug-eyed thing, but I'm usually too distracted by his mouth hanging open to notice.

There's got to be a problem with a character when all I pay attention to is his facial expressions.

Thanks to all for the input. I was most curious to see how the AMC viewers saw this story; especially since AMC seemed to get the victims (with the exception of Kevin and Ace) and OL the criminals. Re: Paul and Todd (question for AMC viewers): Didn't Bianca find out definitively before birth that Miranda was going to be a girl, with the genetic testing she had done to prove that the baby is Michael's? Just wondering because my theory is that Paul is going to try to get Todd off of his back by proving that Bianca's baby was indisputably a girl...and since the baby he got for Kelly is a boy, it couldn't have been that baby. Or something along those lines.

No, neither Bianca or Boobe knew for sure what they were having. The genetic testing that was done was just a paternity test that involved looking for Asscicle's DNA in Bianca's blood (some fancy schmancy newfangled test that's around now). It didn't have anything to do with Mimo's gender.

Yeah, but remember when Bianca had the sonogram by the doctor who did the fake paternity test, the doctor told her there was "no evidence" to suggest it was going to be a boy. I took that as pretty good confirmation that it was a girl.

Edited to add. I know you remember that kariyaki. It was the hilarious "Ryan sitting in the corner" scene.

Oh, wow, even though I've watched this soap throughout all of these storylines, my mind hasn't really put them all together before now. And, of course, you can add the death of both Leo and her father to this list. And her house burning down. And being told by two girls that they were straight and she should get the hell over herself for putting the moves on them.

Yes, God does hate Bianca. Which should make it so much easier for her to join us on the Kinks sled to hell.



Oh, wow, that would so rock. Of course, I think that's asking WAY too much of McTrash. The hilarious thing about soaps is that characters seem to all suffer from long-term memory loss, and can go through the same situations 5 years down the road, and still be surprised and clueless. I just want to shake them, and say - "You live in a soap opera! Never, ever, ever take things at face value! Always think about the crazy, loony possibilities! Shouldn't you know this by now? Haven't you learned this already about 30 times??

Thanks for the answers on the Mimo gender thing. However...Bianca seemed sure enough about it to announce at her baby shower that she was naming the baby Miranda Mona. My assumption from reading the recaps and watching various scenes here and there was that she was sure the baby was going to be a girl and was telling everyone so. Did I misinterpret things?

Oh yeah, I remember that. But I interpreted it as "the baby has its back to us so I can't tell." I had a friend who had no idea what the hell she was having because every time she had a sonogram done, the baby was pulling a Bart Simpson and mooning the camera.

Bianca didn't know Mimo would be a girl. She was just sure it would be. Many pregnant women will swear they know what they're having without knowing for sure. My mom swears that she knew I'd be a girl and my brother would be a boy (which was before the sonogram technology was prevalent) and had no alternative names picked out if she happened to be wrong.

Yes, my sister-in-law spent many months saying she was absolutely sure she was having a girl. Apparently there were several signs - I don't know what these were, but "old", "wives", and "tale" were words that were thrown out. Yet, holy cow, when she found out the sex for sure, it turned out to be a boy.

As for Bianca, did she ever have a "normal" doctor's appointment her entire pregnancy? It was either David checking up on her on the sly, or some random-ass doctor coming to her house to do something weird. I never actually saw her doing anything normal. Except for her one lamoze class. SOB! And hell, she's a Kane. Of course she's going to think she's having a girl. There are no male chromosomes allowed in the Kane family. Everyone knows that.

I'll just be interested in how they handle the whole Babe knowing she gave birth to a boy situation. I see it going something like this - "yeah, Babe, I know you think you gave birth to a little boy, and you actually held him and saw his 'pee pee', but you were being drugged out the wazoo by your current, for the moment, husband, and really don't know what the heck you were seeing. You crooned to a blanket, woman, you know nothing." Or, you know, something like that.

Hee. I would actually like to see a boy in the Kane family sometime--but certainly not as either Bianca or Kendall's first child--because I suspect he'd be a very, very gay girly boy and I'd just love to see Grandma Erica's reaction. I guess that's partly why McTrash had the brains not to make Bianca unable to conceive again despite her love of torture; both Bianca and Kendall really should have at least two children, but Bianca especially because of the built-in sibling dynamics.

Bianca did occasionally caution that her baby might be a boy, but it was obvious she was mostly saying it as a routine disclaimer and not as what she really thought. I don't think it matters, since both Babe and Bianca have already referred to Bianca's baby as Miranda in the hearing of others during their hospitalizations, so it's pretty much confirmed that Bianca did indeed give birth to a girl.

kariyaki, while catching up on your recaps, it occurred to me we need to come up with a really good nickname for Paul. Not that Eeeeeevil Paul isn't entertaining, but it must be sorta tiresome to type after a while unless one creates a macro. And reading your recap of the part where Kendall mentions she saw Bianca in Mimo's eyes reminded me of what I really appreciated about that scene--after all Adam's "Chandler jaw" and "Chandler spirit" and "100% Chandler" blather, it was really nice to hear someone point out the truth--that kid is Bianca's, dammit, and takes after her.

This? Is excruciating. I love Binks.

All My Children’s Olga Sosnovska (Lena) and Eden Riegel (Bianca) made history as the first same-sex couple of daytime soaps. But now Sosnovska is moving on. The Polish-born, British-reared actress is returning to England to join the hit BBC spy series Spooks (seen here on A&E under the title MI-5. No stranger to TV controversy, Sosnovska also starred in Take Me, a series about wife-swapping that shook up the U.K. in 2001 and makes its United States debut April 9 on BBC America (Fridays, 10 p.m./ET). Here, in a TV Guide exclusive, Sosnovska talks about her surprising exit from AMC.

I thought American stardom was the dream of every Brit actor!

[Laughs] I don’t think of this as going back home. My husband (actor Sendhil Ramamurthy] is an American and we live here. I will keep on coming back – hopefully to more acting jobs! But I never thought of AMC as a long-term thing.

Even after the groundswell of support for the Lena-Bianca romance?

As wonderful as the response has been, I don’t want to get comfortable. I am just not ready to settle down. But the thought of leaving AMC is frightening – like taking a bitter pill that you know is necessary for your health.

Could anything have changed your mind?

Had AMC promised interesting developments with Bianca, I would certainly have considered staying, if only to finish off the story with a graceful ending. AMC has no such plans. Lena will leave town for a family emergen

How’s it feel to be such a groundbreaker?

It’s so bizarre to think we’ve done something momentous. It really only hit me when Eden and I were interviewed about the kiss on CNN. More than anything, I hope our characters have been embraced because of who they are as human beings, irrespective of whether they’re gay or straight.

Still, this is a sexual landmark.

Gay people tell me that seeing themselves represented on screen has changed their lives and I am proud of that. What’s also exciting is that the straight audience wants to see Bianca happy on her terms – not theirs. They’ve watched a gay relationship play out on a soap and it did not cause an earthquake. Maybe the next time a show does this it won’t be a phenomenon. Then I’ll really feel like we’ve made history.

Bianca and Robin Scorpio from GH should go bowling together. They'd have a lot to commiserate about:

BIANCA: Well, I accidentally set fire to my own house when I was mad at my mom and uncle. I also had Reye's Syndrome and almost died when I was little. I was shuffled back and forth between my mom's and dad's a lot. I was almost molested by my mother's rapist, and found out I had a nasty sister whom I just hated. We like each other now, but when we were younger, man... Then I had anorexia, and had to go to rehab. I had a tough time dealing with the fact that I'm gay, my father died before I could tell him, and my mother freaked out for months after I told her. I even thought she killed a girl I was in love with. The woman I was in a relationship with turned out to be a spy for my sister's boyfriend, who then raped me. I ended up pregnant because of it, had my newly-found cousin reveal it to a whole courtroom during the murder trial - my sister was the defendant - of said rapist. Whom I killed. Oh, I also gave birth in the boonies during a killer rainstorm and my baby was stolen. I was told she died. Try and top THAT.

ROBIN: Dude, my parents were killed in explosion - but my mom turned out to be alive! And she married David Hayward! My baby sister died of a heart condition. My grandmother was murdered right in front of me, my beloved stepfather was killed, I've been kidnapped more times than I can remember, my uncle hated my first love, who had a negative HIV test, but really was HIV-positive. I learned this AFTER we slept together. Now I'm HIV-positive and my boyfriend is dead. And I dated JASON!

BIANCA: Man, what were you thinking? Hey, but your mom isn't Erica Kane.

ROBIN: You win.

That's another thing I liked about Brock's Paul. I had such a great nickname for him (Paulnocchio). But now I'm at a loss.


That cracked me up in the Sea of Misery today. Already Naggie is getting more action from Lena than Bianca is allowed.

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I"m telling you...

I read some spoilers for tomorrow saying that Aidan and Ryan "go at it in the gym". Okay, 1) Totally giggling at the dirty image 2) Aidan in the gym, sweaty and possibly shirtless!? What a time to give up watching...but 3) Ryan, sweaty and possibly shirtless in the gym...Cannot. Change. Channel. Fast. Enough.

I have a question for everybody. Given the fact that most of us hate the current storyline, and have from the beginning, but we agree that acting is very good, and in some cases, we are being forced to watch even though we would rather not -- will this just encourage McTrash in some sick way. So, even though the storyline is awful, but the acting is saving it, will the ratings go up and then McTrash can think she is doing her job well, or do you think the ratings are still too bad for her to take credit for anything?

I never thought I"d say this but, "Maggie, you lucky bitch!" She got a kiss from Lena.

I didn't think they'd bring me to tears but whoa, everytime Alicia was on screen the waterworks started flowing for me. I don't even think Eden made me cry as much as Alicia did. Alicia, you're bringing on the heartbreak. The only time Eden really got to my heart was when Kendall jumped into bed with Binks...but then my sister ruined it and said that Binks' yelps sounded like a dog that got run over. Yep, my sister has a heart of stone.

FuglyPaul, I hate you! That actor is just creepy. He overacts with his eyes and his mouth. Pock-faced bastard!

And what can I say about Lena's exit? McTrash, Fah Q! I guess we shouldn't have expected anything but unremarkable writing. You can't pull Shakespeare out of a hack writer.

At least Olga wasn't the one who had to act with a dirty broken incubator.

I can't imagine any truly dramatic exit for Lena that wouldn't be a another knife twisting in Bianca's heart.

That said, I doubt TPTB care enough to give her a worthy send-off, given Lena's on-screen presence since, well, July.

Babe's baby boy has got to be either Paul's or Jamie's. Just the way he was talking to Kelly about Babe - he has an intense dislike and disrespect for her.

Kinks - I was sobbing out loud. My dogs started howling! Eden really knows how to pull on the heart strings. She damn near ripped mine out!
Reggie - He is such a good actor.
Erica - Whiny bitch. Hate her!
Greenlee - Just leave everyone alone!
Jackson - Awwwww with the crying. I heart Jackson!

Tuesday's Episode wild feed

At the gym Ryan is working out with the punching bag and Aidan comes over and asking if he wants to have a go.

Reggie and Danielle talk and he leaves her in Greens cause he wants to be alone. Danielle wonders aroudn the penthouse and in comes Greenlee and asks what she is doing.

Tad comes up to Jackson who is still upset. Tad tries to console him. Takes the incubator throw it away and goes back into the hospital.

Kendall and Bianca look up at their mother coming in. Erica starts to talk then Bianca tells her not to say it.

Maria in her office and Edmund comes in. Maria is all upset talks about Bianca's baby. Thinks they are lucky and thinsk it's wrong to ask for anythign more. Anita comes in wants to get out of their before she has a meltdown. Maria leaves with Anita. Edmund then thinks.

Greenlee then talks to Danielle. Then calls the cops.

Jackson then talks to Lt. Perry.

Erica then tries to comfort her. Bianca then asks what she is sorry for. Kendall just stands there while Erica keeps going on about what she did and apologizes. Bianca in an upset voice tells her what she exactly did when she found out. Then asks how many candles she lit. Says Bianca is not herself. Bianca says I can finally see who you are. Tells her she is unforgivable liar.

Greenlee and Danielle talk and when she tells her she's a friend of Reggie she stops the call. Reggie comes in.

Ryan and Aidan are having a go whiel Maria and Anita watch.

Erica doesn't blame her for lashing out. Kendall still stands their and says nothing. Bianca says Erica is not sorry and is thrilled and she wants to throw a party it's gone. Says she put a curse on her baby. Asks about her mom's iternary. Says she would never wish any hamr to an inocent child. Erica starts crying when Bianca says she wished the baby was dead. The tears then start to fall from all the gals.

Perry says they can't find anything and the recovery effort has been called off to Jackson. Questions why. Then Tad talks to him to try to console him and that eventually they will all deal with it eventually. In reference to what happened to him with Dixie.

Ryan and Aidan still go at it Anita tells Maria to stop it. Maria tells them they are doing it stop the pain. Says we all have to do what we have to survive.

Danielle goes to change. Reggie and Greenlee's talk about Danielle then explains everything tells her she's a runaway. Says everyone doesn't lie as much as you. Danielle and Reggie start to leave.

Erica keeps talking to her. Bianca continues to tell her how she is. She says my father is more alive thatn you are. Then Erica asks Kendall to help her with Bianca. Then Kendall tells her this is a slap in the face to her. Bianca says it is about her not you and it's about her dreams not her nightmare. She won't believe her I love yous.

Erica leaves Jackson says she didn't mean it. but she runs off.


Bianca asks Kendall if she was wrong. Kendally tells her she did exactly what she needed to do. Kendall leaves.

Ryan and Maria talk. Aidan and Anita talked. Ryan says Kendall doesn't want anything from her.

Edmund talks to Jackson. Talks about not being able to help his family. Trying to figure out how they both got to where they got with these problems.

Erica comes into her penthouse and the phone is ringing. Answers it and starts talking.

Greenlee tells them Danielle can stay. Danielle accepts. Reggie goes to the hospital. greenlee lays out the rules. Tells her to play it straight with Reggie and stay away from her closet.

Jackson and Edmund continue talking. Edmund then leaves to go to physical therapy.

Erica gets off the phone. Keeps staring at the alcohol and then pours herself a drink and drinks and sets it down and then goes ot her room.

Then Anita talks about her marriage to Aidan. Nothing hurts more then loving someone who doesn't love you back says Aidan. Maria then says what's it going to be you for you and Kendall to Ryan.

Kendall goes back to her home and breaks down crying.

Somewhere Over Thr Raing bow is playing.Edmund is waiting by a door and Maria comes behind him. Erica drinking. Jackson comes into see Bianca. Greenlee looks at the window. Kendalls sits down in and looks at the picture of her sis and her at the shower. Bianca cries in Jackson's arms. Edmund and Maria .Erica leaves with a suticase. Ryan comes into Kendall's place. Jackson still holding Bianca. Greenlee thinking and looking at a picture of ryan. Kendall looks up and over at ryan.

Maybe something is really wrong with me (I think this show has seriously and permanantly screwed up my perception) but I am liking JR a lot lately. Maybe because he's being so gentle with MiMo. He looked mighty fine in that black shirt. And for some reason, Jamie pisses me off even when he's being nice...all I think of when I see him is 'Doofus!"

Well, that was brutal indeed. The scary thing? Eden could've made it even worse if she'd wanted (and there are some actors who would've done just that). Bianca at the start, before Kendall finally told her Mimo was gone, was tired and quietly happy. If Eden'd wanted, she could have played Bianca as all shiny glow-y bubbly happy, and broken my heart even worse. Guess you have to take small favors wherever you can.

I think the only thing I was able to smile at today was when Bianca said that Babe was sweet and funny "like [Kendall]". Awww, Bianca loves her sweet funny sister.

Man, was I disappointed when Ryan chased David off before he could rip into Erica some more. Okay, yeah, I'm sure Erica never wished a helicopter crash on Bianca, but I distinctly recall her screaming at God for not having shown Bianca "mercy" by having her miscarry at eight months pregnant. Plus her trying to convince Babe to convince Bianca not to have the baby. That said, normally I hate Frankenbrow, and normally I hate people coddling Erica, but when I realized that he was (unintentionally) setting her up for a fall, I was cackling with glee. Erica entering Bianca's hospital room at the end? Okay, I've watched Erica do many dumb things over the years. But that, in terms of looking out for one's personal safety, was the most supremely stupid thing I have ever seen Erica do. Bianca is out of her mind with grief and Kendall isn't doing much better. Erica will be lucky to walk out alive tomorrow.

I was actually doing "all right"--no one could be "all right" watching this ep, but at least my tears were under control--until they showed the people in the waiting room hearing Bianca's screams. That did it. Fucking evil of AMC, but unbelievably effective. (I liked Brooke leaving with Adam a little earlier. Very classy of Brooke.)

I can't rewatch until tonight, but I think that was an unbroken break-to-break scene at the key point where Kendall finally told Bianca the "truth". AMC did show other people during it, but Bianca and Kendall were talking in voice-over the whole time. AMC hasn't done that for awhile, and it was very effective. When Kendall rushed on after telling Bianca Miranda was gone to how Miranda was with Mona, I kind of felt like Bianca--in shock, not really able to comprehend what Kendall was saying. I understood what Kendall was going for with that, frantically casting around for anything that would make it even vaguely better, but it was way too fast.

Showing Paul and Kelly during this ep after we'd already watched Kinks sobbing over Mimo--was AMC just trying to drive us completely up the wall with rage? If it were possible to reach into a TV screen and strangle someone, I'm sure a million viewers would have done that today.

Really, what can I say? Almost everyone was brilliant. It was interesting to see just how far people were pushed. Greenlee, in the end, couldn't cope with Jack's grief. Reggie couldn't cope with his own grief and had to leave. Bianca is almost out of her mind with grief, and she pushed Kendall to a hair of what Kendall could cope with--if Bianca hadn't broken down when she did, Kendall would have been out of her depth. As it was, she had to throw herself nearly on top of Bianca. That last bit with Kendall spooning Bianca and holding her while they both cried was heartwrenching, but also exactly what Bianca needed. Erica walking in and interrupting? I said it once, but it must be said again--it's the most supremely stupid thing Erica has ever done, ever. They might have to call security to keep Bianca from killing Erica.

Walt and MBJ were wonderful in their scenes. Vincent was nicely understated, both in David's grief and in his very real menace when he was talking to Erica. Eden and Alicia, of course, rocked the house. When they're working together, they just take it up to a whole new level.

I can't say enough nice things about Eden and Alicia's performances today. I couldn't even be moved to tears by them because I was just so in awe of their talent. Dear God. I'm speechless about this subject. For now, anyway.

But yeah, when Erica decided to walk in on Kendall and Bianca? I was all, "No, dammit, they're not ready to deal with you yet!"


I buck the consensus on this thread about Jacob Young. I actually like him and think he's a decent actor. So I have no problem with how great he's doing with his scenes lately. JR is obviously so happy about his little "daughter" but feels guilty about it considering what Bianca is going through.

And I've tried to like Jamie. I have tried harder than anything but I don't find him hot or charming, I just find him to be a very big dork. I miss Greasy more and more every day I'm forced to watch this tool.

I'm a regular JY basher, kariyaki, but there are times when I think he does a good job, and I do think that today was one of those times. Part of it is that JR was being written very humanely, and I liked him a great deal. His recognition of how lucky he is, how much he could have lost, and how he needs to be appreciative of what he has in light of what other people are going through, were very mature and well-done.

JY gets into the most trouble when JR is angry--that's when he resorts to the Screaming is Acting school of thought--and unfortunately JR has been angry a lot these last few months. He also looks ridiculous when put into a business suit and told to act like a big-shot businessman, but that isn't entirely JY's fault--JR is too young for that. But when JR is written as just a regular, decent guy, JY does fine.

I agree Justin B. is pretty much beyond saving. Just throw him out and bring Greasy back. Micah Alberti doesn't have a contract role on another show yet, does he?

Eden inparticular was fucking brilliant today.

I couldn't even smile for the spoonKinks! Even though on a smal fuzzy TV and squinting and taking the scene totally out of context - it sounded and looked orgazmo hot.

The whole interaction was so incredible and Eden effectively sold Bianca actually losing her shit. I have never seen anyone do it more real and for a more legitimate reason.
