I read spoilers that the trial was going to begin next week, but as of next Friday's ep, the day-by-day spoilers say very clearly that it's only the EVE of Kendall's trial...so maybe the week was just off for the Bianca-telling-Kendall spoiler too. I hope so. Because you're right, it'd lead to brainstorming, I'm sure.

She doesn't post often, and I only picked up on it because she saw last week's kiss a day in advance and hinted that there would not be a hug between Lena and Binks. She doesn't say much usually. For tomorrow, she said there's some "Bianca and Kendall stuff" and seemed to indicate that Bianca gets the amnio because she said something about a jelly covered Bianca belly. I'm sure there's brainstorming involved somehow.

You know, maybe that's the reason for Lena's sucky hair nowadays. She got a Vespa and is riding it around.
Gratuitous Eden ab shots...yeah, that sends me to a happy place. Fortunately I can always go over to Eden and Olga's boards and just look at the posters' avatars to remember--one poster uses a clip from when Bianca was at the gym with Lena. Yum. Another poster also uses a clip of when Bianca hauled off and smacked Kendall after Kendall had told her about Lena and Michael. For some reason it's hella fun watching it on a constant loop. Pissed!Off Bianca is so hot.
Anyway, you're right,
jelly-covered belly Binks, declarations of staying in town to support Kendall, possible mention of Kendall's recent brush with death...this could be one good Kinks ep. I sure don't see Kendall just letting Bianca get her amnio all alone, do you? She'll be right there holding her girlf--oops, sister's hand. Yeah, I loved that character in Jude the Obscure. In my college literature class, we did a little skit in which some of the book's characters were guests on Jerry Springer. It worked really well, because some people have no idea how trashy classic literature could be...[/OT]
So, I'm dying to hear details on Rebecca's appearance today--I didn't tune in for it...
Oh, and I did think Lena's hair was really good yesterday too. But it was bad the day before that. One of the problems is there's no consistency from ep to ep. It always bugs me when I'm rewatching the Lianca airport episodes and watch Lena with really cool hair in the first ep, in which she kisses Bianca, and then this sort of odd wing-flip when the next ep picks up. It still looked okay, but it wasn't what it looked like in the ep before. Of course, nothing compares to the horror that was Lena's hair when Olga first showed up on AMC.

Every day that passes I like Ryan less and less. How is it that Edmund is in the hospital and Ryan is the only one around to comfort Mauria. If he wanted to help why couldn't he call Maria and Edmund's family and let them know what's going on.
I love how Kendall has most of the males in Pine Valley come to her defense. I wonder what magic she weaves because she should bottle that and sell it on Ebay.

I went looking for more details on Rebecca's appearance and came across some tidbits on Olga's board...
-She doesn't think Greenlee and Mumbles will work because she's tired of the whole crazy revenge thing from having gone through it with Vanessa. (Guess she's through campaigning for the couple, then--GOOD.) She does love Tomy, says he's a beautiful man, but admits the accent was difficult to deal with.
-A caller brought up the idea of Greenlee/David and she liked it.
-The Fusion Four will be on The View doing a Queer Eye-style makeover. Alicia knows food.
-She organizes her closets for fun. (Sheesh. I moved from Houston months ago and I haven't even bothered to unpack half my stuff yet.)
-Said working with the Fusion Four is chaotic, but also said she likes working with them as well as Eden and Cameron.
-Said that she didn't know who Michael's killer is yet so AMC must have a really tight lockdown on that info, as the reveal is coming next week. That must mean the truth hasn't been revealed to PV at large yet as of today, since AMC tapes three-four weeks in advance. Boy, ABC must've really warned the actors involved in taping the reveal to keep their mouths shut, if Alicia hasn't even told Rebecca.
-She brought up the lotion fight with Kendall--hee--but unfortunately no specifics were given on what she said.
-Finally, John asked her if McTrash is a pyromaniac since she's always blowing up stuff, and Rebecca said that she always does that and brought up working with McTrash before at GL (I forgot Rebecca was on at that time--I never paid much attention to her character there). She likes what she's gotten to do so far on AMC.

If memory serves, that was on a comment from an annoying little teenage fangirl, who said that that was her favorite scene ever. Rebecca said that it was her idea to squirt lotion (man, does that woman ping) and that Alicia knew before hand that it was coming, but forgot during taping, so that when Rebecca squirted her, she screamed out "What are you doing?!"

Rebecca looked adorable pretending to be all blind and shit, but, man, did that SL suck. I cussed and spit nails for
weeks. Ugh. McTrash.

That made me smile. Because, so do I. It's the pastime of a clothes horse. Yay, I've got something in common with my #1 girlcrush! She also said that Alicia loves green tea. Me too! Can't get enough of the stuff! Although, she also said Alicia's a health nut, and I like cigarettes as a companion to the tea.

Yeah, but I am large and sloth-like. On an OT note-I tried to watch AMC over Christmas and my sister, upon seeing Greens immediately piped up "she was a Bauer during that whole blind thing". Anyway I got a "why did you abandon CBS for ABC" debate. I was raised on ATWT. I seriously don't know.

Here's my idea of what happens during the trial. We know that Erica finds out about the baby soon, and some of the old spoilers/rumors say that she reacts in an unexpected way. We know Erica will be Erica and blame Kendall for everything I hope I'm wrong, but I think that she buries Kendall on the witness stand, lying to incriminate Kendall as payback for keeping quiet about the baby. We'd get some good Kinks out of that, and I suspect we'd get to see a whole new side of Bianca dealing with her mother.

IIRC, ABC primetime was the first to show naked ass on NYPD Blue back in the day. If ABC did it, I wonder who the first to bare it all would be?

The last fairly steamy scene I think would be Kendall and Ryan on the Fusion rooftop, and it wasn't a NYPD Blue type scene, but they did show more of Alicia than you normally see on daytime.

Don't forget (or do forget) the Maiden and Maria/Edmund scenes in which we saw everything of Eva LaRue, Aiden Turner, and John Callahan except nipples, dicks, and asses. And the sad thing is that even though Aiden is a beautiful man and I normally would've been drooling, I was just repulsed. Sigh.

I actually don't think that Erica, no matter how furious she might be at Kendall over the baby, would deliberately lie to send Kendall to prison for murdering her favored daughter's rapist. She doesn't want to see anyone punished for that. She's already hella pissed at Kendall over the "pregnancy" and was furious at her on Thanksgiving especially, but still was not happy that Kendall was arrested for the murder. Anyway, she actually doesn't have to lie if she does want to bury Kendall--saying that Kendall knew about Jack's safe combination is the truth. Which reminds me, there's a spoiler that Erica is told that she can't take back what she said to the police about that.
I wonder what tack the prosecution is going to take at Kendall's trial. Are they going to argue that Kendall killed Michael for the money, or because he raped her sister? If they went the latter way, they'd be able to call everyone who was there when Michael was arrested and Kendall went bonkers with the threats (except, of course, our departed Anna) to testify, and it strengthens her motive, but it'd also potentially make the jury a little less inclined to convict Kendall, on the "he got what he deserved" principle, especially as the defense could then call Bianca to trash Michael. But Kendall would no doubt fire Livia before letting her put Bianca on the stand.
And I'm late commenting this, but Erica's blase, knowing attitude over the subpoena made me laugh. Just something about Susan's matter-of-fact delivery of "subpoena?" to Jack and then her nod killed me. I think it's partly because on soaps usually every character acts as if they know absolutely nothing about trials, even if they've been on trial three times already, so that the audience can have every legal bit spoonfed to them (and then the show usually gets it wrong, to boot). Like Erica's trying to call herself to the stand before the prosecution had even rested at the Frankie murder trial, or her hysteria that she might be sent to jail for twenty years during FEM. After all the times she's been involved in legal trouble, she would damn well know about subpoenas. The fairly intelligent way (for a soap) that the arraignment hearing and such have been handled so far gives me hope. I mean, Kendall will be an entertaining defendant, Livia's a good foil for her, I adore Judge Lampert, who's completely capable of squashing all the inevitable Kane histrionics...and we have Exeter and Tarzan to mock.

Well, the prosecution has a few ways to go and they even have some evidence, like you said, but I'm kinda curious as to what the defense will come up with. Basically Kendall's entire defense rests on her being in Vegas getting married and pregnant, right? Boyd has the witnesses from Vegas tucked away somewhere (so as not to be turned, I guess), I'm guessing their testimony must have already been put on record. I mean, I know Aidan talked to them but would that hold up in court? Wouldn't they have had to give a deposition or something to prove Kendall was indeed in Vegas?

I doubt the witnesses of Kendall's "wedding" actually gave depositions, and I don't think those depositions could be admitted into court anyway, since the prosecution has no way of cross-examining. My guess is that Boyd paid off the witnesses because if they were shown a photo of Michael Cambias, it's game over, unless Kendall managed to find a perfect lookalike on like two hours notice, which I really, really doubt. Kendall does have the marriage certificate, I believe, and the burden rests with the prosecution to prove that she didn't marry Michael.
Livia is going to have to find an expert witness to testify that due to the condition of Michael's body, the time of death the coroner came up with isn't accurate. The real difficulty for Livia is the physical evidence of the gun, with Michael's blood and I think fibers or fingerprints of Kendall's.
The most difficult question to answer, of course, is how Kendall could marry her sister's rapist--and we heard the press ask her that when she was arrested. It would be a real mistake for Kendall to testify, and I'm sure Livia knows that, but this being a soap, and Kendall a Kane, I'm sure Kendall will insist on taking the stand. Aidan was right all along in saying the best strategy would be to find a bunch of other people with motives to kill Michael. So many people hated him that if I were on the jury, I don't see how I'd feel comfortable convicting one of them without an absolutely airtight case. Kendall's said she doesn't really want to point the finger at other people--I don't know if that's scruples per se, or because she knows Erica and Bianca would be first in line, and she's absolutely determined to keep her sister from even being mentioned as a suspect.

Huh. I'm wondering if what Jack said yesterday is true. He said that Kendall is the DA's one shot, if she gets off then they won't pursue other suspects. Does that even happen?
So, leaving Bianca out of it, there's Jack, Erica, David, maybe Mags, Reggie, Boyd, and Lena as other known suspects to throw suspicion on. No one knows about the Simone/Carlos maybe involvement, right?

Yup, it does happen - and not just after the prosecution loses its case, but after mistrials/hung juries etc.. Sometimes it happens because the original case was weak to begin with, other times because it would just cost too much and, sometimes, the DA's office uses its discretion when it feels half-hearted about prosecuting in the first case. It doesn't happen every day, but often enough to make the stats.
Right, no one knows about Simone/Carlos - but I still say it was Myrtle! No, I'll never let that go.

Another thing to consider with regard to whether the DA will go after another person if Kendall is acquitted is the way it would make the DA and the cops look. I can't imagine that even the people of Pie Balley would think to much of the DA if he basically tries to go back into court saying 'well, so maybe Kendall didn't do it, but how about Jack (or Reggie, or Erica, or Bianca, Lena, etc. etc.)? Would you buy any of those?'.
It would make the DA's case against any other suspect look weak since if they were so guilty, why wouldn't they have been charged with the murder in the first place? (instead of Kendall)

Kendall would leave Reggie out of it too, because Bianca is Reggie's alibi, and you can't throw Reggie's alibi into question without also trashing Bianca's alibi. And at that point, well, who has the better motive? Even the dumb-ass PV police might grab a clue at that point.
Jack is probably correct in saying that if Kendall is acquitted, they won't try anyone else. Not because a DA never does that, but because currently, the evidence is stronger against Kendall than anyone else (the bag with the gun). So if the DA can't get a conviction against her, he's hardly going to turn around and charge someone else with even weaker, entirely circumstantial, evidence that essentially boils down to "Person X hated Michael and has no/weak alibi." That's half of Pine Valley, and the case wouldn't even make it out of the preliminary stages. That's why Kendall was able to avoid being arrested for so long to begin with. So as long as no new evidence crops up specifically pointing to someone else, if Kendall is acquitted, the whole town's off the hook.

I appreciate that Bianca goes to the trouble to super cuteify herself whenever she's going to meet Kendall. They both looked great today. I'm glad the wardrobe people finally got my memo to put Binks in black as much as humanly possible. Slapping that cute faded denim coat on her was a bonus too. It almost makes up for the horrors inflicted on her on NYE. Hee, leave it to Kendall to find floral maternity wear.
For some reason whenever Ryan went and sat facing the wall, I laughed so hard I think I dislodged something.

Well, Bluedevilblue has been sticking a toe in now and then here. I'm sure when the trial starts we'll be getting our needed "back away from the Matlock!" warnings. We'll need them.
BDevil- Are you going to watch during the trial and hold our hands and explain the crappage to us? Please? Or will you stick to the, "I'm out until McTrash is." pledge?

Mystic0, nope, I'm stuck at work as usual and PBP'd it. The dialogue looked quite promising, but of course with Kinks so much of it is the physical stuff. The touching. The googly eyes. The inappropriately-delivered lines like "brainstorming". Hee. I'm thrilled to see that Pervy Writer is back from his GH stint. (making plans to find and lock him up so that he can never switch shows again)
I still mourn the death of Bianca's black top in the gas leak explosion, but fortunately she has plenty of others. I'm sure it's utter coincidence that she wears black around Kendall...uh huh...she used the "wear black" trick with Lena too.
I know we won't be lucky enough to have Edmund die, but maybe he'll be in a coma for a while?
Ryan's suggestion in the previews: EWWWWWWWW!
ETA: SkiffyPup, bluedevilblue said that her last AMC sabbatical came when Erica's trial started because she couldn't stand it. I doubt she's coming back now to suffer another trial. ;-) But I still think this trial won't be quite as godawful...and I can work on my older-woman crush on Judge Lampert. I can't wait for Erica to testify and inevitably get smacked down by the good judge. It'll make my day.
