I made the unholy mistake of watching some of the Medmund stuff. Yeesh but Edmund becomes more of an ass every day, doesn't he? He's all smiles and sunshine while Anita and Bobby and the kids are there, and as soon as their alone--he gets his bitch on with Maria. Good God, let the whiner have the dangerous surgery, Maria. And, Edmund? You want some real problems, why don't you go have a chat with Bianca? Yeah, it sucks that you are in a wheelchair, but you have your family, your presumed dead wife has returned to you, you have two healthy, happy kids (one visible, one not). It's so hard for me to feel any sympathy for a guy who's whining about not "feeling like a real man" when I know I'm going to see some serious angst coming up for Bianca (and Kendall) real soon. And, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is all about him not being able to "perform" for the Medmund porn (God bless that bullet. It's one of my favorite characters on this show. Think it could cross over to GH? There are a few people I'd like to see "unable to perform" on that show.)

I like Babe, but calling a hospital directly is your first call? Not 911? Not your husband who's probably scared out of his mind worrying about you? You call the emergency room at the hospital? I see no common sense will stand in the way when ABCD is intent on killing and switching babies. Assholes.

I don't think my poor heart can take Monday's ep. Watching Kendall find out her girlfriend and baby "died"? That's going to be too much. Since I know they're alive, is it appropriate for me to expect some Kaidan consoling scenes out of this? They've got to give us something, right??

No. No, they don't. They're going to give us Kendall making all sorts of inappropriate eye contact with Ryan, and her ripping Erica, and (I think) Greenlee apart at the seems. I have a feeling Aiden is just going to be scenery. But, I'm pretty much a bitter pessimist at this point. At least when it comes to Kaiden. Have those two even had one scene other than "I will get you out of this murder conviction" scenes? I mean, heck, even those haven't been around for weeks.

Thank you, Kariyaki, I'll try to remember that. In a vain hope that Reggie will actually have a long-time love interest. Or anyone other than his immediate (adopted) family to interact with. Not calling 911 first was stupid. Not calling JR first, I thought, was actually fairly intelligent, since Mr. Don't You Know Who I Am? hadn't been able to find her and Bianca yet.

I love it when Eden's comments get misconstrued. She was directly asked if BAM would happen now that Olga is leaving. All she says in turn is that maybe BAM has a better chance now and that the fanbase is quite fervent. Both entirely true, and signifying absolutely nothing about what she wants to see onscreen. It's not pimping the couple. After that she goes on to gush about Olga for a paragraph.

Hee, allergic2love. My own parents are a "mixed" marriage--a moderate Republican and a fervently liberal Democrat. Since I fall into the latter category myself, and every last one of our circle are also liberals, my poor father is forever being ganged up on. He's a wonderful man, really, just misguided.

Unfortunately one of my best friends is a conservative Republican who's getting more conservative by the year (except in the matter of gay rights). Sigh. But we grew up together from preschool on.

The Baby Switch Crossover
On Tuesday, March 23 a story so big can only be told on two shows. On this day ABC Daytime will use its two New York based soaps, All My Children and One Life To Live to tell the tale of a grieving mother, a scorned wife and a conniving diva as someone gives birth and loses their child all in one night. If you are not watching ABC from 1-3 PM (EST) or SOAPnet from 8-10 PM (EST) for this event, you're missing a lot.

ABC
Tale of Two Mothers
Babe finds herself giving birth at the cabin. Paul Cramer finds himself in Pine Valley just in time to help deliver Babe's baby boy. Afterwards he calls his big sis, Kelly Buchanan in Llanview. Paul places Babe and Bianca's kids into incubators. Leaving the infant boy in the cabin, he then fakes a helicopter crash that that fi nds Babe, Bianca and baby Miranda in trouble. This gives him an excuse to claim the death of JR and Babe's baby.

Mommy takes the blame
Kendall keeps her promise and blames Erica for Bianca's predicament. Erica blames herself and falls into a great depression. Jackson tries to comfort Erica, but she doesn't want to be bothered. Erica and Krystal bond.

ABC
Surprise, Surprise
Greenlee and Ryan have news on Babe. Bobby has a suprise in store for Anita. After much thought, Maria agrees with Edmund's wishes. Jamie comes to a realization. Greenlee, Kendall and Ryan find a disaster site, with bodies inside. Paul makes excuses after Tad and other question his involvement. Bianca remembers Miranda, but is told she's dead.

David Remembers
David gathers the town at his cabin, while remembering the loss of his daughter and the departure of his wife. David enters the hospital with the missing incubator with help from Ryan and Tad.

Miss World, maybe 9 months ago, there was a pic of Eden at an event snuggling up to a guy. I barely trust my memory on this, but I'm thinking he was clean-cut, maybe reddish-sandy hair? or maybe it was his complexion that was ruddy, lol. Anyway, I think he was taller than Eden, and he seemed wholesome...kind of like the all-American boy-next-door. I'd have no problem at all thinking he was Republican. Feel free to comment if he was the one. :)

I checked out the link that random person posted. Nope, that's not him. I'm trying to think back to my SOD subscribing days... I think I remember an interview where Eden mentions a bf from Harvard. Marj's nephew went there undergrad and for law school. I met him during the law school time, while I was working in DC and he was there for the summer.

Hee, random person--but don't feel bad. The second the photo was even mentioned, I knew exactly which one it was and could recall it perfectly in my mind. I have no life either. That pic is from the Florida SSW last year. It must've been fairly serious at the time since she brought him along, but I haven't heard a word since.

I know there are a few other Wonderfalls watchers on this board--did you guys see yesterday's ep? I swear I think someone on the writing staff of that show is an AMC watcher. There were more attempts at SisYay, plus there was some HoYay, and the guest character this week was named Bianca and had the nickname Binky.

[OT]I once had a rack that would make Eden Riegel look like a ten-year-old boy. No shit. Those things just spouted up overnight when I was twelve, like something out of a horror film. I hated it. Needless to say, twelve-year-old boys can be very cruel. And grown men, too. Now that I'm an adult, I don't think it would bother me as much, but as a kid, I couldn't take it--the stares, the comments, men looking at my rack, whispering to each other and then laughing their asses off. So, when I was fifteen, hello cosmetic surgeon, goodbye 44DDD rack. Best decision I ever made. I'm flat as a pancake, and I love it! So, I will never envy another woman's rack. That reminds me, AMC did get in some more Mia's-a-ditz stuff and I appreciated the humor in the middle of some grim scenes. First she tells Kendall that she's sure that the circuits just overloaded and so Bianca/Babe aren't able to get through. Kendall just gives her a "you are so dumb" look. Later she suggests checking diners because maybe Bianca/Babe are in one, earning herself more looks and a dismissive "That's yours" from Tad. Hee.

The last thing I read was that it hadn't been decided yet whether Ryan will end up with Kendall or Greenlee. I guess we can expect to watch him bouncing back and forth like a ping-pong ball indefinitely. Thank god for the subtext version of AMC where Ryan's a beard while Greenlee lusts after Kendall who's with Bianca. Speaking of which, I still love Kendall's "I want Bianca! I want Bianca!" on Friday like mad. It's not just the surface perviness of it--I also like the way she delivers that bit, all petulantly demanding and making it so blatantly obvious that she can't go without Bianca for more than a few hours at a time. Heh. Erica really was right when she told Ryan Kinks has become inseparable...

Eden was just answering the question she was asked, SkiffyPup. It's a standard question whenever someone's love interest is leaving and there's another potential love interest on the canvas and she gave the standard "I don't know what's going to happen" answer. Because that's all it was. And the soap press doesn't wait to ask that question until the love interest is gone.

I know there are a few other Wonderfalls watchers on this board--did you guys see yesterday's ep? I swear I think someone on the writing staff of that show is an AMC watcher. There were more attempts at SisYay, plus there was some HoYay, and the guest character this week was named Bianca and had the nickname Binky.

onewomanshow, the spoiler said something about Kendall and Gryan discovering the accident site "with bodies inside" (the chopper, one presumes), so yeah, I would think Bianca and Babe are both there. Of course Bianca's not dead, but by that point she's certainly going to look it even more than she already does. Poor Kendall.

The song that Eden sang to Miranda was from a Disney lullabye CD. I thought that it was very sweet and really loved it. Of course, I may be biased since I can't hold a tune and my kids would have been very grateful to have Eden sing to them rather than me.

Sam is Bobby's biological son with Kelsey Jefferson, granddaughter of Ruth and Joe Martin and niece of Tad and Jake. Kelsey gave up Sam for adoption to the Greys, but later took the baby back in an attempt to get Bobby back. Bobby eventually agreed to a deal where he married Kelsey and gave her one-half of his trust fund if she would return Sam to the Greys. It was a scam, but the Greys got Sam back and the formal legal adoption went through. Bobby and Kelsey's marriage was annulled, and he was able to get back together with Anita.

Aw, I don't think you're being a music major nerd to point that out. It was definitely completely inappropriate, but the problem was that it was being used as the voiceover for the montage and so it had to be sung as if she hadn't just been in labor for something like 14 hours and suffering blood loss and on the point of unconsciousness. As such, AMC really shouldn't have written Bianca singing a song, or at least not as the voiceover, but on the other hand, I did really like the montage and found it affecting, and it probably wouldn't have been the same if it had just been some random singer. So it's one of those things where the show chose to go with something that would require suspension of disbelief to get the sentimental kick it wanted, which is not going to fly with everyone.

There seemed to be several of those sprinkled in the ep, actually--one of the writers was on a roll for sure. In addition to Greenlee's line, there was Erica's "I'm just so cold" and Reggie's complaining about how something bad is always happening to Bianca.

That would've been less reality bending songstrengthwise and it would've been cry-worthy cute. Then when the baby cried, she could've said, "Yes, I think it should be itsy bitsy too." ... then passed out.

The way it was ... it's like they're anviling a Bianca Lullaby CD release in the fall.
This will be the second cut after the song she sang to plastic baby Epiphany!Jesus.

Yeah, and two matching whips to use should they want to drive the Kinks Sled (because, really, they are Kinks, and should therefore have their own whips) and Kinkstini shakers, with their initials engraved on them. Someone should actually formulate the recipe for Kinkstinis so that we can send it with the shakers (with a note that says, "Seriously, we know you both probably need a drink.") Heh.

All the Kinksy goodness here has finally made me delurk, after reading along - and loving it - for months (AMC's so much more fun through pervy-colored glasses). I won't ask to join you on the sled, because I've been there for a while, quietly sipping my Kinksitini in that back. *Waves Aiden over for another round* Who knew going to hell would be so much fun?

I met him at a 4th of July party and we hung out a few times after. At the party, my friend was wearing a 'happy birthday' paper hat. He asked her whose birthday it was and she drunkenly shrieked 'It's America's birthday!' The look on his face? Priceless.

I nominate the Sisplendor in the Park picture. That was the coupliest picture EVER for those two.

Which reminds me, I was telling a friend of mine about the whole Kinks phenomenon and showing her pictures of it. I started light and she was going, "That's kind of tame." I was all, "Hold on, I'm building." Then I went to Flirty Head Tilt, a bunch of hug pics... it when I got to all the hand-shagging pictures that she started to go, "Holy crap!" The final pic I showed her was the afore mentioned Sisplendor in the Park.

And I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamt I was holding Mimo for Bianca. Mimo was about toddler age, had short brown hair and big brown eyes. In short: looked just like Bianca. She was so adorable, I didn't want to let her go. And I don't even LIKE kids.

Word, Black Knight, on the wonderfulness of Alicia's delivery of the "I want Bianca!" line. The petulance really was the cutest thing ever. I guess I'll grab a seat by you on the sled and we can be clueless together, because I'm a Lianca fan and I wasn't offended by Eden's comments, either. That'd be like me getting mad at Alicia, crowing about Cam's (shudder) return and how much she hoped she'd get some more Kryan (shudder) in an interview, while she was still in Kaidan (sniff!). The actors know they'll go through a million different pairings. I think they should keep it loose and not cement themselves with any certain pairing, present or future possibility. But then I'm used to not getting the pairings I like for very long, so maybe I just don't take it personally enough to get upset.

Have I mentioned how much I love this board and all my fellow sledders? All this glorious perviness makes me selling my soul soooooooo worthwhile.
