Oh yeah, about the show:

Loving the Kinks today, yummy perfection. I missed the monday KinksFest so this was highly enjoyable for moi. The best was obviously the end part but I also loved the lamaze scenes. Does anyone know if we're lined up for more tomorrow? or next week?

My spoiler lady says that TPTB don't know where to go with Ryan and his ships...um, kick him out, yeah? They can't decide, Greens or Kendall...BUT she also said that rumors have it there will be Kaidan in the summer! Eeeeeeeee!

Also, I thought the Greens/Bobby chemistry was decent and they're so dimple-ilious together, so maybe they'll persue that. Hopefully this will leave Ryan in the cold or hooked up with someone like Krystal, so the FF can commence unabated.

I agree with whomever said the Erica/Ryan was there, but -- Jack? No, its really for the best that CamMath leave and discover his 'leading male' status elsewhere, k? Kryan, the supercouple that wasen't.

Ok, so I left work, came home, re-watched today's AMC once or twice *cough*, and then came here. I take it Eden's board has gotten even nuttier. HEE! Y'all rock. Kinks is Love.


Heh. I know a lot of them hate the Kinks, but we can't really go over there and spread the gospel. It's a Lena/Olga board, and technically has nothing to do with Kinks. At Eden's board, we're not invading either the Lianca or BAM sections, we're in the Bianca Banter thread where Kinks is technically on-topic. Board manners, y'all. In our own hilariously-warped way we can be the best fanbase of all! Bwah!

Okay, I want to marry the last shot of today's episode. What really, really gets me is their comfort level. It's so natural. They look like Kendall lays her head down on Bianca's lap every single day. (Well...) Eden's smile at Kendall as Kendall settles down is too swoonworthy, but you know the little bit she does that I really, really like? It's that she gently sweeps Kendall's ponytail out of the way as Kendall is lying down so that Kendall won't trap her hair under her back. Eden just does it so tenderly and naturally and it's just so thoughtful and romantic and...[/fangirl gushing]

My other favorite "little bit" is when Bianca and Babe are talking about "daunting"--Babe goes on to talk about how beyond-daunting it is, while Bianca looks worriedly at Kendall, who's looking down at her brochure. And Kendall immediately looks up and smiles at Bianca and sweeps comforting arms around her.

Add my irritation in with the others who mentioned that they took the camera off Kinks during the Babe/JR part about hand-squeezing and only returned after they had already gotten into their beyond-adorable couple-y position. I figured out that the offscreen Kinks action we couldn't see was probably Bianca taking a page out of Babe's book and squeezing Kendall's hand hard, then Kendall probably pulled her fingers away enough, and presto, that explains their hand position when the camera shows them again. Aw nuts, Pervy Director. You let us down on that one (but you're forgiven because of the end).

Erica's little Pervy speech is still cracking me up. Yup, that briefing room scene where Kinks went all hyper-focused on each other and didn't spare her a glance really, really, really, really bugged the shit out of Erica, and she hasn't gotten over it yet.

kariyaki, you're right, Kendall's wistfulness over the romantic fireplace is I-can't-wait-to-do-that-with-Bianca wistfulness. Hee!

Wow, i'm a bit late because I have to wait until the evening to watch the episodes, but another classic day for Kinks. Although, really, isn't any Kinks day a classic day?

And not only do we get the shot of Kendall resting on Bianca's tummy over a Melissa Etheridge song, but it was the last shot of the day. I mean, come on. Everyone knows that the last shot of the musical montage in a soap is devoted to the super-couple. It's a standard practice. This is just further proof that everone at AMC knows what the fans want, and are giving it to them in spades.

In non-Kinks news, I'm loving Bobby. When I first started watching AMC, Bobby and Anita were finally reunited, and went off into the sunset together. I thought it was highly boring, but thought that Bobby was hot. He might be a different person this time, but he's still hot. And interesting. Anita, I'm kind of meh. about. Probably because I FF every scene that Maria and/or Edmund is in. But I am all over a Bobby/Greenlee pairing. FINALLY, after the awfulness that was Carlos/Juan Pablo/Ryan, we have a worthy partner for Greenlee, post Leo. I can't wait for this story to happen. By the way, is Juan Pablo going to get a good-bye (I'm assuming at this point that he's history)? Or did he just go up to the attic? I vote for the latter.

I'll watch Reggie no matter what he does. Maybe because I have yet to see him interact with Ryan. I didn't think that was allowed. I don't know if I see chemistry yet with the new girl, but I'll wait. I don't really see chemistry until I see some action, or brainstorming, if you will. I'm a bit slow on the uptake.

As for the whole Tad falls in love with someone that the audience doesn't suspect. What I'm hoping is, that McTrash loves the Krystal character so much that she doesn't want to tie her down to one man so soon. She wants her to go through the entire male population of Pine Valley. Liza, I just don't see as a serious contender. I haven't seen any real "connection" between her and Tad. So, that leaves Simone. I would think that McTrash would characterize him picking her as surprising, because, well, she's clueless. Of course, I could be delusional. Because I've been a Timone shipper from day one.

I got random person's link to work (by cutting and pasting) and now I am your bitch, random person--not forever, because I'm Eden's bitch forever--but certainly for a while. Because that pic of Bianca? OINK OINK OINK! (And my record of still oinking in even the most inappropriate situations remains intact...) Black tank. Wet wavy hair. *swoon* And yaaaaaaaaaaay, she's holding Mimo and fully conscious! So at least she gets to see and hold her daughter before all the bad shit goes down. She also looks in good shape healthwise (considering), so maybe the delivery wasn't that bad for her. Then again, I guess she could have a delayed shock reaction or something? There must be some reason Babe asks Paul for help.

And from that picture, both Bianca and Babe know that Mimo was born alive, so if we assume that AMC hasn't bothered to make Alex's will a detailed order-of-succession the way it would've been set up in real life, that means Bianca has the Cambias estate outright as next of kin (until they find Miranda). It may or may not be important story-wise, it's just that I really, really don't want Ryan getting all the billions back and being a rich asshole (as opposed to a poor asshole) for the next six months or whatever. I want Kinks to keep the companies and the money and turn into boardroom barracudas as their way of working through the grieving process. Bwah! Speaking of such, I thought Kendall's comment about Greenlee was interesting, in that she said she was going to make sure Greenlee would be saying "Do you want fries with that?" And Bianca was fine with it. I really do think they may be setting up some corporate warfare again, with Binky's billions backing Kendall. I admit I'm biased because I really want to see some focus on business again, but there have been quite a few random comments in dialogue now hinting at this possibly happening.

But, if they're setting up a triangle, I'm still a bit confused as to who the players will be. Aidan/Anita/Bobby/Greenlee? If so, who will Greenlee run to during the inevitable periods when she believes that Bobby doesn't really care for her, is only using her because he's on the rebound, blah, blah, blah. . .trianglecakes? Aidan or Ryan? And where does this leave Kendall? Hmmm. . .

As someone who has never watched this show on a regular basis, but has always read the recaps, I have to say that the main reason I'm watching everyday now is because of the Kinks. Now I'm trying to get into the rest of the show. What I've seen of Kaidan, I've loved, and hope TPTB get a clue. And I'm liking Bobby and Anita.

I think another reason I love Kinks, is that every scene that Kendall and Bianca have is a scene that doesn't include Naggie. Kendall has replaced Naggie as Bianca's best friend and sole confidante, and I LOVE IT. I know I've said before that I hate Naggie. I'm not sure where it comes from, and it's probably an unreasonable amount of hate, given that, like I said before I've only started watching everyday recently. It's just everytime I've seen her on screen, I want to strangle her, and those obnoxious Bam ads on SoapNet don't help supress my hate for Naggie.

I also have to say that as much as I love Kinks, I would love Lianca too. But of course I know she's leaving, and I hope Lena isn't killed off. Everyone has talked about how much McTrash is getting off on torturing poor Bianca by heaping one tragedy after another on her, and to add to that they might kill of Lena. Yowza.

So, Mr. KerleyQ hasn't seen much Kinks since he helped me count rack checks a while back. I was laughing over the board and he said "Has it gotten that blatant?" So, I fired up the TiFaux and FF'ed him through a Kinks only version (because God knows I don't even want to watch Maria and Edmund, and this is my show). He was amazed at how far the Kinks has come. And he made me rewind so he could see Babe's disembodied hand trying to grope Bianca's rack--he was too busy watching Kendall gazing adoringly at her girlfister the first time.
He laughed his ass off at the whole thing. His take? The actresses (and our beloved Pervy) are irritated at the lack of any kind of active love life for Bianca, so they're throwing in the lesbian love story wherever they can. Luckily, Eden and Alicia can set off sparks with a napkin, so it works.
He also commented on how significantly Alexa's acting improves when she's with Eden. And he totally doesn't buy JR as a hetero man.

Anyone else yell "Don't you two go getting any ideas!" at Anita and Maria? I think I can only ship one sister relationship per show. Although having a girlfister has got to better for Maria than that ass she's married to now. And, if it would cut down on the Medmund porn? Hmm....I may have to rethink my stance on this one.

To comment on the Kill Lena theories, I have to say that upon first hearing of Olga's departure, I immediately thought to myself that they were going to kill her off for sure. I mean it's dramatic, it's cruel, and it's another way to fuck with Bianca (everyone's favorite victim). Win, win all around!

What is there to say about Kinks that hasn't already been said? It was glorious today, simply glorious. I had to laugh when Melissa E. came on though, it was like hey, let's throw in a little something non-pervy for the lesbians that don't ship Kinks.

As one of the obsessed Olgaholics and adoring Liancalites at the SS, I do appreciate your thoughtfulness in not racing there with Kinks!!!

We're pretty raw, wounded and sensitive right now (even though we're beyond delighted and elated at Olga's new "gig"), and it would only be rubbing salt in our wounds.

But, please, give it to the BAMmers every chance you get. Eid eiggaM Eid!

Now I realize I shouldn't have come on this late, because it took me waaaaaaaay too long to figure out that name. Brooke has a long history of getting Erica's leftovers, but I don't think she and Jack ever paired up. Someone who's been watching longer, though, can confirm.


I have to admit, I didn't either. However, I don't think it really had anything to do with him, and everything to do with who was appearing with him. Granted, it does help that he's not being an asshole to Babe right now (though I realize she's been a crappy wife), but still, I attribute almost all of it to the halo effect of being around Alicia and Eden. Throw in that Alexa does vastly better around Eden, and JY had it easy today. I mean, basically all he had to do was stand there, look cute, and not be an asshole, while two super-charismatic actresses and one charismatic actress did all the work.


Heh. I really do like their interaction, but I see absolutely nothing Pervy about it, fortunately. My liking Kinks has not changed my position on any other potential examples of incest. They just have a nice platonic sisterly bond. And I think it's very necessary. I still find Edmund intolerable, but Anita's arrival has gotten me to start watching all of the scenes she has alone with Maria, and some of the general Grey family scenes as well (despite Edmund's presence). Maria and Edmund have been so isolated for so long, and Maria really needed a family member--and one not played by finger-pointing Mark Conseulos--back on the canvas.


Yup, I look forward to Greenlee getting back and finding out. Should be a real test of her newfound growth. I liked that she was concerned for her father and Erica today, but on the other hand, if she's really worried about Bianca, then pick up the phone and call her. I know she says she doesn't feel ready to face everyone, but, y'know, she needs to find her backbone and do it already. I blame Frankenbrow. All evils in Pine Valley can be traced back to Frankenbrow somehow, I'm convinced.

Don't feel bad, Black Knight, I was STILL trying to figure out what Brack meant until you said it. And with that, I can confirm that there has indeed been a Brack pairing. Back in '90 or '91, whatever year it was that Jamie was born. It started out as friendship with Jack helping Brooke out with newborn Jamie (think Three Men and a Baby but with just one guy and you'll get the idea). The relationship blossomed from there. I remember really really liking that couple. But they broke up for reasons that I can no longer remember and I guess I shrugged and moved on.

But I realize that was way wishful thinking--for one thing, I have no doubt that on the rare occasion that Kendall and Bianca are actually out of each other's company, Kendall calls Bianca every hour on the hour. Kendall will know Bianca's gone missing almost immediately. SOB!

Friday - All right, that explains why Babe calls Paul for help next week. Guess Gryan is back in Pine Valley--whatever. And apparently people know that Bianca and Babe are together, and we know from other spoilers that Bianca asks Babe to get her the hell away from Erica, so that means the one person who would know for sure that Bianca and Babe were last seen in each other's company is Erica...and she must inform the others, and hopefully lets slip that she and Bianca were fighting about the baby. Probably that sets off the argument with Kendall where she blames Kendall for "influencing" Bianca. I hope Kendall kicks Erica's ass. It's inevitable, she'll be sick with worry over her girlfister, and Erica's being a bitch to her, so Kendall will be a bitch back. Go Kendall!

And by the way, the continued clutching-their-pearls at Eden's board is too damn funny. A couple really think we're actively endorsing incest in real life. Hee! Is there any good news to pass along to the fans of AMC's Bianca and Maggie who have been left to wonder if the would-be duo's February 3rd liplock was the start of something... or only a little ado about nothing? After all, there has been no follow-up to the unpublicized yet long awaited kiss. "Maggie is on a journey," explains AMC headwriter Megan McTavish. "She is questioning herself, her feelings and her sexual identity." Alas, such uncertainty puts her at a big disadvantage when it comes to warding off Bianca's current honey. "Lena knows who she is and what she wants, and Bianca certainly feels she knows who she wants and that's Lena." With that said, McTavish points out, "Bianca has not forgotten about the kiss. As to whether she bought Maggie's explanation... Well, she isn't going to pursue Maggie or anything. She has enough on her plate -- she needs to get her baby born and take care of her mother. And besides, she does love Lena."

Don't you just love Bammers. Reality is starting to set in for most of them, so now they're insanely jealous of the Kinks relationship.

(I commented before, but I think it was missed--Liancalites are starting to join Bammers on this. Hee. We've brought them together!)

Mystic0, I was wondering the same thing. The reference to "Everyone" gathering at the Chandler mansion to form search parties makes me think Erica will probably be there too. If she isn't, I think it'll be because Kendall kicked her out, not by Erica's own choice. Erica is pissed off at Bianca, at Kendall, and about the Kinks bonding as well as the baby, but we're talking Bianca going missing here. Even Erica would not turn a blind eye to her daughter going missing in a raging storm. So if she's not at the Chandlers, it's because Kendall's pissed off and blaming her for precipitating this crisis. Hmmm, we might even get a "If Bianca is not okay, you're dead to me!" speech from Kendall. That would make me happy.

And they can't be too happy about McTavish's latest comments. Poor lot, all of them. [/sarcasm]

Oh, damn. So Kendall's actually on the scene for the Bianca/Erica confrontation? She is never gonna forgive herself for staying with Erica instead of leaving with Bianca. And I'll be screaming at my TV screen at that moment, all "Go with Bianca! No! No! Don't stay! Aaaaarrrghhh!" It's just like the whole Adam/Lena thing in the park all over again.

Poor Kendall. She's going to blame herself for all of this. I bet Erica blames her too, just to twist the knife a little deeper.
