Eden's contract is up sometime this summer...August, I think. She's already said she wants to stay, and the Kane Women are a core part of the show, so unless something goes horribly wrong in contract negotiations, it should be fine.

Dabney, I don't think it can simply be a missing baby, because Babe's a little suspicious from the start about her own baby because she has a feeling she gave birth to a boy, not a girl, even though she was heavily drugged. If PV was being turned upside down looking for Bianca's missing girl, I think even dense Babe would clue in rather quickly.

It did occur to me that Kinks might find out the dead baby isn't theirs, and promptly jump to conclusions and blame Erica, given her history and her loudly praying that Mimo would die and all. I'd be pretty amused watching Erica have to run around trying to prove she didn't do anything, while Kinks harasses her to tell them where she stashed Miranda.

Word, Mysticks Muse. I know Kinks has to spend some time crying, but I want to see them both get royally pissed off and stay royally pissed off. They're going to feel so fucked over by the universe, it'd be an entirely natural reaction. It's Kendall's usual in-character reaction, and Bianca often reacts that way too. They can start with telling Erica where to get off with her phony "sympathy". Then they can turn their attention to business and start kicking the corporate asses of anyone who's dumb enough to get in their way. Eventually, they can kill Paul and Kelly when they find out the truth.

Plus, it'd just be a lot easier on me to watch. And, y'know, Eden's so hot when she's mad. (whistling innocently)

Chiming in late, but the shower stuff...was pretty good. With Marian's skankiness, Mia's lameness, Lena's priceless "fuck you" look to Maggie, Opal and Liza's sweetness to Bianca, logical explanations for the absence of Myrtle and Brooke, Erica's freakout...AMC should really do more shows with the whole cast interacting. Oh and I loved Erica's dismissal of Winifred when Winnie was trying to help, and Erica's reaction to the tiara "I'll just hold on to it..." Hee.

At the risk of enflaming the 'Kinks Sled' brigade...y'know,AMC, we GET it. They've bonded. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kendall and Bianca as happy sisters. It was just getting a little sappy with all of the declarations of love and all that---mainly because it was so freakin' obvious that it was McTrash's way of telegraphing that the happy sisters are going to be in for a heapin' load of misery with this rumored baby switch and all. But what MOST bugs me about all the Kinks bonding is that Bianca has had more onscreen physical contact with her sister than she's had with her 'great love' Lena...The Sis!Yay! is great on our pervy level, and I think that's fun...but it just pisses me off in the 'real' AMC world, Bianca isn't allowed to have anywhere near that intimacy with Lena....okay, rant over now!

I loooove Christian Campbell as NuBobby and I'm warming up to NuAnita...but, why doesn't Bobby have some of Palmer's money or even Cliff and Nina's? Has he been cut off? Will we be seeing more of Palmer now? And why in the heck didn't Erica recognize Bobby???

Surprise surprise, the baby-stealing is connected with the storm that's hitting Pine Valley. Eden basically confirmed it at the dinner she had with a couple of fans who won a set visit/dinner. It was nice of them not to have her pose for pictures, as she obviously tried to cute herself up some for them (black tank? Yum!) but was still looking exhausted.

The problem with Eden looking so hot when pissed is that I find myself oinking at the most inappropriate times, context-wise.

But remember, BK, when Ryan was handing over the Cambius stuff to Binks in the hospital, he told her that both he and Kendall had promised JR that he could run Chandler. Bianca agreed to that, and said she could not think of anyone better. So, not only is this tied to the transformation, but it is also part of the fluffing of both Ryan and JR.

Yeah, I remember, Dabney. But I think if Adam went to Bianca and asked for his company back, pointing out that he was the original owner and that Michael stole it from him, he'd get it back. She has a sense of fairness and he protected her mother the night Asscicle was murdered. And so that's why we don't have Adam asking for his company back, by Writer Fiat. It was easy to explain why Kendall and Ryan wouldn't return CE when Adam tried to get it from them, but it wouldn't be easy to explain why Bianca would refuse Adam. And so AMC has Adam just not ask. Sigh.

You know, today's ep is the first time I can remember where Alicia, Eden, and Rebecca all were not on. I guess Kinks are still off somewhere brainstorming. Heh.

My anger at Erica has pretty much eaten most of my observations about today's show, but I did want to say that Adam/Mary crack me up and Reggie rocks. Yep, that's it.



Amen. Where the hell did that girl disappear to? And Black Knight, I've always admired your ability to get your oink on, no matter what the circumstance. It's impressive, man.

I could buy it in the sense that Chandler is a family company and so I can see Bianca feeling that a Chandler should run it (since Enchantment is the same kind of story), but then that brings us right back to the same question of, why isn't Adam getting the company back? Feh. Whatever.

The worst part is, I think we're supposed to believe that JR is doing a good job running the company. At least I haven't heard any dialogue lately about JR running the place into the ground. And that's where JY becomes a huge problem; if JR were supposed to be older, and played by someone else, I could buy this. But AMC's already stretching disbelief as it is by expecting us to believe that Dixie has a grown son, and they cannot go any older. This SL really should be done in another seven to ten years, but AMC's too impatient and wants to do the Adam Jr. transformation now.

Thank goodness for Eden and Alicia's ages, because it means that as long as they're playing Bianca and Kendall, AMC can't SORAS Miranda too much. After JR, you know the next big child-turning-into-his/her-relatives SL that AMC will be chomping on the bit to do is Miranda, her being the next generation of the Kanes and all. And she really should turn out to be one of the more interesting "next generation" kids, but AMC's just going to have to wait on the SORASing.

After all that sexual tension and the official proposal and everything at the baby-turned-wedding shower, I'm not surprised they're having the brainstorming session to end all brainstorming sessions. The only advantage of Bianca retaining control of Chandler Enterprises (if she hasn’t yet signed it over to Junior, I’m still a week behind on my soap watching), IMO, is the potential for more Lena/Adam interaction. Oh man, THAT would rock! I would EEEEEE! muchly. Olga’s imminent departure notwithstanding. Wah!!!! But awesome news that she’s going to Spooks/MI-5. I saw a promo for that show months ago, thought it looked interesting, but forgot to watch. Since Alias sucks so much ass and doesn’t look likely to improve, I may have to switch spy shows. But, God, I don’t even want to think about potential Lena/Junior scenes. Maybe McHack will spare Olga from that pain as a parting gift.

There's been no talk of Bianca signing Chandler Enterprises over to JR. He's simply running it for her, as he was for Kendall and Ryan. I doubt, as a result, there'll be any Lena/JR or Lena/Adam interaction. Lena has never been involved on the Chandler Enterprises side of things; Kendall hired her to help Kendall run Enchantment and Cambias Industries.

I agree Adam's a dangerous businessman, but with Bianca the owner of CE, there's no need for him to go nuts with the scheming. Never do something convoluted when something simple will work, especially when a takeover would cost him considerable money, not to mention time and energy and lawyers and so on. Simply pointing out to Bianca that Michael stole his company from him is all that he'd have to do, so it'd just be silly for him to do anything else. Then he can demote JR's ass and set about teaching him some lessons from the Master. For whatever reason, Adam doesn't seem interested in getting his company back anymore. I guess he's too busy focusing on Babe, which makes no sense, but...

Ah, Black Knight, I guess I just assumed (and continue to assume) that Bianca will give CE to Junior due to their long-standing friendship and Adam's general untrustworthiness. We all know that Binks would have just turned all the companies back over to their original owners without even being prompted (it would be setting things right and a FU to Mikey), just as we know that Mikey would have never been able to take over all those companies in the first place. Especially since he had the same money today/broke tomorrow/Hey! I have money again! affliction Bianca seems to have. WHATeva, man. I'm just glad they didn't drag Palmer's company into the mess too. As for Fusion, I'd say it's going into the attic. Kendall's getting that company, which she doesn't need because she's got Enchantment, and so she can either hand it over to Greenlee if she wants to be nice, which I really doubt given Greenlee/Ryan, or she can roll it into Enchantment as a big fat Fuck You to Greenlee. A third option, if she wants to keep the family peace out of respect for Jackson, but not really be friendly about it, is to make Greenlee buy Fusion from her. Or she could give it to Mia/Simone as a lesser Fuck You, knowing that they'll likely give Greenlee a share of the ownership afterwards. Of course, that's assuming AMC even bothers to mention the name Fusion ever again. Fusion's going into the attic regardless, I think; wrapping up the ownership question is just a detail that AMC may or may not bother to give.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but you put my opinion very nicely, onewomanshow. I'm disappointed too in the lack of Lianca, but Kinks really has nothing to do with that. Look at all the non-Kinks action Kendall's gotten--unfortunately with Frankenbrow, not Aidan, but that's neither here nor there. And I'm not going to let my enjoyment of Kinks be soured as a result. It'd be like cutting off my nose to spite my face when it's one of the things I enjoy most about AMC--and not just the pervy aspect of it. I've been waiting a long time for Kendall and Bianca to build a relationship. Family is the core of any soap opera--whatever DAYS and GH may think--and the Kanes are crucial to AMC, and the Kendall character in particular really needed to build some solid family ties that can be counted on, because her relationship with her mother is never likely to be that solid. The day the reporters parted to reveal Alicia's Kendall, I've wanted her and Bianca to become real sisters. The Pervy aspect is an unexpected bonus.


I took that as Kendall's only nod in the direction of discretion. Bianca followed suit by not giving Kendall a full-on handshag. (The real, but more boring, explanation is that Alicia was standing where she was so that she wouldn't block Jill Larson in the shot.) But after that it was aaaaaaaawwwwn, starting with Bianca turning around and Kendall immediately putting her hands all over Bianca's back. Heh.


Oooo, that makes total sense. That explains why Eden snapped her head up so fast and then they died laughing. I'm absolutely convinced that Eden and Alicia broke character there laughing at the blatant perviness of it all. They know damn well what they're doing, love 'em both. They both have too naughty of a sense of humor not to know.

Ah, Kinks. I love those two tubes of lovely. So much, man. So much.



Word. And let's face it, with her desperate and overwhelming need for love and reassurance, Kendall's romantic entanglements will never be that solid either. Kendall needed an anchor, someone to tie her emotionally to Pine Valley. Otherwise, sooner or later one would wonder what exactly is keeping her around. Now, the SisYay; no one saw that coming, but it certainly is a fantabulous perk. Heh.



Is it possible that once Erica believes that Miranda is dead, she'll ask Kendall to kindly sign Enchantment back over to her, with an indignant Kendall refusing to do so once she realizes that the only reason that Erica gave her the company in the first place was so that she could skip town and not be around the baby? Perhaps Kendall will even smell a rat immediately and believe that the baby may still be alive, and suspect that Erica had a hand in whatever went down and therefore refuse to give Enchantment back. I think that the companies and the issue of ownership will figure into the "Finding MiMo" (Hee.) SL at some point. I feel that there are two options in regards to Erica and the baby switch--either make her a part of it, with paranoia and guilt pushing her over the edge into full on insanity, or have her not be a part of the baby switch, yet unable to hide her total glee over the baby's "death". Thus, Kinks will turn on her and push her out of their lives and possibly Enchantment, causing Erica to either have a breakdown or an epiphany, during which she realizes that her love for her daughters is too deep to allow her own inner demons and issues prevent her from having a relationship with them (fat chance).



I want Timone. Dammit. If I'm given some assurance that she's truly out of the running and is out of Tad's orbit for good, well, I'll give the sloppy spunk-bucket a chance. Why not? Until then, I. hate. Krystal.

I'm really enjoying AMC right now -- it's a lot better than most soaps. I also think the show has really improved since last year. There are certain things I don't enjoy, but AMC is still awesome! LOL!

Paul really doesn't know what he's about to get himself into does he? Foolish, foolish boy. I wouldn't mind if Kendall trotted out "You messed with a Kane woman" before grinding him into the ground. The only Thing that I'm looking forward to is the possibility seeing Bianca and Kendall on OLTL, but knowing the stupid IIC, they won't take advantage of the oppurtunity to get the Kane/Montegomerys and the Lord/Cramers in the same room.



Word. I think Erica should be slapped on a daily basis anyway, but today she was went way over the line. First her "pretend I'm Bianca" thing was nutso. Then her throwing Leora back in David's face simply because he was doing his job with Bianca, was beyond cruel. I really cannot stand that woman.

SkiffyPup, I noticed the Kinks thread on Eden's board with everyone freaking out. I was dying of laughter when you started popping in with pro-Kinks posts. We never decided who was going to drive the sled this week, but I think you definitely should now. I know the Dark Father would agree with me. (hands ceremonial whip over) Speaking of pearl-clutching, did anyone else notice Liza's face during the sofa scene? While Lena and Opal are smiling schmoopily, Liza's got a total "WTF is going on between Bianca and Kendall?" expression. Ha!

Bianca saying that she wants the woman who pulled through for her every single time didn't bother me. Let's put the Kinks aside for a moment (as fun as it is). It's not Lena's fault or anything, and she has come through for Bianca whenever she's had the chance--but she simply hasn't done as much for Bianca as Kendall has. No one has done as much for Bianca as Kendall. It's not Lena's fault, it's more a question of opportunity than anything. Kendall, not Lena, knew that Bianca had killed Michael, and so Kendall's the one who went on trial, etc. to protect her sister. If Lena'd been the one to see a gun-toting Bianca running away from Michael's condo, then I'm sure she would've done something similar (she probably wouldn't have come up with a wacky I-married-Michael scheme--no one but Kendall would think of that, hee--but I'm sure she would've disposed of the body, made a phony confession, whatever). Second, Kendall is a huge part of the reason why Bianca decided to have this baby. Normally it's more appropriate to ask your significant other (though Bianca and Lena are only dating right now) or your best friend to be your lamaze coach, but the circumstances of this pregnancy are very unusual. Kendall is the one who made Bianca realize she couldn't abort this baby, that she wanted to have this child, and Kendall's been there all along helping Bianca with her pregnancy and she loves the baby more than anyone else. Again, setting aside Kinks, I really didn't see how Bianca could think of asking anyone but Kendall, knowing how much the baby means to Kendall, and knowing that Kendall really wanted that job for itself.

I watched yesterday's ep last night, and I feel manipulated again, because I liked Krystal. Well, once they got past her drooling over Jack, anyway. Again, it really helped that she was talking about a SL that's not her own sleazy one, and being a voice of reason, even--and without utilizing any cornpone sayings. She just came off as good-hearted for a change, and I liked that she realized that she shouldn't just stop at preventing Babe from telling Bianca what Erica had said, but that she should tell someone else who could hopefully help. Also, Reggie is too cute.

Tentatively, I still like Bobby and Anita. They had a nice little chemistry going on with the neck-kissing bit and there's a bit of poignancy in their interaction. And I knew his not wearing his wedding ring was gonna bug her. Ha.

I was chanting "Go David! Go David!" when he was laying the smackdown on Erica. Finally someone stopped being careful of her feelings and just gave her some unvarnished truths. It pissed her off, that's for sure--I enjoyed the look in her eye when he pointed out that Bianca's quite happy about her pregnancy. It was nice to hear him say that and some of the other stuff that's been said here on the boards, such as the fact that Bianca isn't a 14-year-old girl and the situation is different. He came very close to the real elephant in the room, which is that Erica can't handle the idea that Bianca can feel differently about her baby than Erica did about hers, because in Erica's warped mind that becomes a criticism of herself.

I did think he made a mistake with Erica when he warned her not to say any of this stuff to Bianca because it could cause further complications. Erica doesn't want Bianca to have this child, David--don't give her a road map to cause a miscarriage! I'm wondering if that's how Erica's role in what happens goes down. We know there's a storm, we know Erica always freaks out during storms. I could see her going on a tirade during this upcoming storm to Bianca, that causes Bianca to go into early labor. Then when Miranda "dies", everyone blames Erica for it because Bianca was eight-and-a-half months pregnant.

About Kendall vs. Lena (or whoever) as Bianca's Lamaze coach, I get people huffing about Lena not being the one. I understand that every possible Lianca moment is considered precious since Olga's leaving. I get that, I really do, but I can see where Binky's coming from.

Bianca's running around shaping the world, as much as she possibly can, to insure that this kid is gonna be loved and accepted. But I believe she's aware that no matter how much this kid is loved and accepted, its gonna catch some shit about how it was conceived. I mean, that's just gonna happen, no one can shield the kid from that totally. So somewhere down the road, Mimo has a royal mindfuck waiting for her and I believe Binks knows that. That's what makes Kendall's role in Mimo's life extra important. Kendall is the one person in Mimo's life that can totally identify with the shit Mimo will have to face. Bianca and others can love the kid and shelter it, but really only Kendall can help Mimo navigate the mindfuck of knowing your dad raped your mom and what that does to your sense of self. So I think that Bianca's right on in making sure that Kendall has a prominent role in Mimo's life. That way as Mimo grows up, she'll know all her life how fabulous and loving Kendall is and already have a basis of knowing that a 'rape baby' is just a person like everybody else. It'll be helpful to Mimo to have such a strong example that your conception doesn't taint you or predetermine how or what you are. YMMV.

CookieOK, what I find especially infuriating is that we haven’t heard Binks say that directly to Lena yet. For the countless times L has declared it (frell, even shouted it through doors) to B, B has only referred to L as “the one I love” (or “woman”) when speaking to others (altho L was present a time or 2). We better damn well get one before Olga leaves. But being pissed off about the constant inequalities with Lianca is bad for the blood pressure, so I must switch to amusing myself with the irony of blatant Kinks. As in making lemonade when given lemons, I’m trying to make the best of what the Good Lord (or the Dark Father) gives us. ;)

…and continuing in that vein, I saw something yesterday that immediately made me think of here although I wasn't going to post it. But while we’re already in the gutter anyway -- this is somewhat OT from textual AMC, but right O(n)T for this forum’s current state of moral decay. Pervy has been so successful @ AMC that the Dark Father’s minions are branching out to the West Coast. AMC has shown glimpses of BroYay (although according to others that did follow JY from GH) culminating (so far) with the Babe&BrothersBedSandwich dream sequence. And Kinks, well one only has to look at the baby shower scenes to see that AMC has brought SisYay to a level of transparency unforeseen on daytime, & I think even broadcast, TV. (See, AMC is being daring and cutting-edge – they just zoomed right past Lena the lesbian girlfriend we were waiting for and went straight to the lesbian sisters we didn’t even suspect. Sneaky frellin’ bastards.) And now Pervy’s West Coast operatives are apparently pushing the boundaries into completely untested territory on “General Hospital”. I haven’t watched GH since I was a teen, but fondly remember Jed Allan from way back when as DOOL’s Don (mom got hooked when I was a wee tot). He was married to Marlena (pre-Roman turning her into “Doc”), and I vaguely associate a sort of swaggering Rock Hudson movie persona with him.

And as I can’t seem to shake the increasingly unclean feeling from typing “GrandYay”, I must now go shower. Ack!

Skiffy, you know I heart you hardcore - so I've taken a trip to Bianca Banter and posted my love for Kinks.

I'm annoyed at the lack of Lianca and, now that Olga's leaving, I'd love to see lots of good Lianca scenes. I'd also really dig it if Bianca would finally stop referring to Lena as "the woman I love" and finally just say it to her face, damn it.

However, having said that, I completely agree with Mystic0 and BK, both of whom have eloquently explained why Bianca thinks of Kendall as the person who has always "come (through)" for her: no one is in a better position to go find Mimo once the kid gets into her mindfuck about her father.

I suspect that in Bianca's messed-up mind, she doesn't think it's fair to say "I love you" to Lena and then in the next breath still say that she's not yet ready for them to have sex or live together or exchange commitment rings. She's saving the "I love you" for the moment when she can give herself fully to Lena. It's not that I think she's right to handle the situation this way, but I can see how from her perspective she feels it'd be a mindfuck, especially given her background. Erica has often used "I love you"s with Bianca as a way to mindfuck her, to attempt to guilt and influence Bianca into doing what Erica wants, being who Erica wants her to be. Sometimes when you grow up being mindfucked a certain way, you end up going too far in the other direction in an attempt to avoid doing the same.
