Oh can you give us a hint? I'm saddened that she'll be leaving but not really. LOL. The Kinks can only keep me tuned in for so long and now that she's leaving I really can't see myself continuing to watch the show. The only characters I even remotely like these days are Mary and Kendall…if Mary was on more I might tune in, but she’s not, so I will not be. Alas, I shall keep my lurking up here though as I’m always entertained by what y’all have to say.

Ditto. It's her portrayal of Kendall that reeled me back in the first place. Before Alicia came along I had regressed to a sporadic viewer at best. I hadn't been into the show this much since Kendall was on-canvas last time. I just love Kendall.

And the show she'll be on kicks ass, so kudos to her: I wish her the very best.

I feel like I've been given a reprieve! While I am sad that I won't be seeing Lena/Olga on my screen every week (lets face it, even if she did stay, we wouldn't be seeing her every week) I am glad that I can finally stop watching this asinine show. I only hope that she leaves completely. I would hate to see her screentime reduced even more. I know we'll be seeing her in other roles with much better writing. Lena is the reason I continued watching this show and now that Olga is packing her bags...so am I.

According to the SS wild feed peep, tomorrow's Lianca scenes will be especially tender. Ah, one last, long kick in the teeth for Lianca fans.

All I know is TSPTB had better not use this as an opportunity to force Bianca/NuCarlos on us. Losing Lena and then seeing Bianca paired with NuCarlos would be equivalent to trading in a Lexus for broken down rented miniature burro (also known in some cirrcles as a jackass). I'm sure Retcon32 is planning a party as we speak, the poor delusional idiots.

Bianca has so much SL coming up with the baby-stealing/switch -- which she was not originally supposed to be part of -- and La Kane's dramatics that I think AMC will just leave her alone for awhile, romantically. Bianca's not going to be in the mood for love, especially with Lena's likely departure as an added disappointment for her. She isn't going to care about confused Naggie when she thinks her baby is dead. And that's fine with me, just let Binks be single for awhile.

AMC cutting scenes of Olga's is a pretty good indicator they do not expect her to stick around even on a recurring basis, and thus there is no point in airing scenes that are setting up for future plot, since it'll never pay off now. My guess? Lena's mother will fall ill, and so Lena will leave PV to take care of her.

That's probably a good fanwank, BK, but I hope you're wrong: I want Lena to leave with balls of steel in a blaze of glory.

What else happened on AMC today? Nothing? OK.

Well, I was horribly disappointed by today's spoiler, because I don't want Olga/Lena to leave!!!! Ever!!!! But then I realized that most BBC series only have 6 to 8 episodes per season (for example, The Office (two 6 ep seasons), Coupling (the funny England version, two 6 ep seaons so far (I think)), Ab Fab (five or six 8 episode seasons - and totally funny), Are You Being Served (dozens of 6 episode seasons - that show was on forever)), so maybe (please please please) she'll only go away for 2 months or so (to tape the 6 or 8 episodes and "to take care of her sickly mother plotline") and then she'll come back to PV in a blaze of glory (and I will once again start taping the show, cause I'm not sure I will watch without Olga/Lena). Until then, I'll have to start petitioning my cable company to get BBC America. I'm going to choose to believe this, until I hear different.

Eesh. I only wish we knew this earlier. I guess that solves the mystery of why Olga had a short-term contract. She actually had a choice! Man, had we known, we could have seen the writing on the wall a lot earlier. That means she had a certain career path in mind, and barring something extraordinary happening, AMC was just going to be a short-term stint.

After watching today's ep: Erica's still creepy. I felt bad for Kendall when Erica was going on and on about reliving that night constantly. I loved Kinks' joint WTF? expressions and the way they continually talked in a couple-y way, what with all the "we"s and what Bianca said at the end that made the baby shower totally sound like one for them, not her alone. Hee. Mystic0, I ran Erica's expression at the end as she leaned against the wall through the Pervy filter and came up with, "Damn, they've stopped talking. They've moved to the couch. My suspicions were correct--they really are doing it. I've got to get out of here!"

It's too bad Mary interrupted when she did, because it seemed like Erica was responding ever so slightly to Bianca and Kendall's heartfelt words. She was hardly on the verge of a breakthrough or anything, but it seemed like she might've been willing to talk a little bit. Erica's reasons for going along with the baby shower--hmmm, I'd say it was one-tenth trying to be gracious and nine-tenths not wanting Mary Smythe to realize that there's considerable tension over Bianca's pregnancy. Putting her arm around Bianca was so obviously done for show.

That is a great black dress Kendall has on in the previews. Yum. And she didn't even need to be a figment of Greenlee's imagination this time.

It's too bad that I hate Edmund, because otherwise I would've liked the scenes with him and Jack. Grown men talk together on this show so rarely. And it's also too bad that I find the Maurmund story boring, because Maria and Anita really do have a nice sisterly--and I mean entirely platonic sisterly--interaction and I wish they were talking about something more interesting. Also, the actress playing Anita really needs to fix that one lock of hair that's always across her cheek and practically in her mouth. I know it's a small thing, but I find it distracting.

I like the new Anita. I like the interaction between her and Maria. I buy them as sisters. I was kind of amused when Maria asked Joe if she could borrow his office. The way she said it made it sound like she was going to use it do discipline an unruly child.

I thought Erica just might answer before Mary came in. I agree that the accepting of the shower and the arm around Bianca was all for show, and I think that both Bianca and Kendall know that, Bianca probably more so than Kendall because Kendall wants to believe whole heartedly in her mother's love.

I miss Reggie.

Ooops...I had figured out a way to read this board w/o the spoilers being blacked out - had forgotten they were there.

Bianca's often a hard one to suss out because sometimes she chooses to pretend she doesn't know as much as she really does. She said to Kendall that Erica was agreeing to the shower as a way to reach out to them, and I was a little undecided as to whether she actually meant that, or whether it was so she didn't have to crush Kendall. But then I decided the latter, because earlier in that conversation Bianca was skating around the issue of whether Erica had really been ranting at them via her rant at Eric, when it was pretty clear from her face and words when Erica was ranting that she knew that that's exactly what Erica was doing.

I think Bianca knows it doesn't take much to send Kendall to the depths of despair, and that while their relationship with Erica can be repaired, it's going to take a while. So she concentrated on an upbeat message of hope, light at the end of the tunnel, etc. Calibrating her words and actions to fit the needs of her high-maintenance Kane relatives is so ingrained in her.

Oh. my. God. Prepare yourself Black Knight cause I'm gonna embarrass you. That KinkFic rocked six ways from our most holiest day, Sunday. I am going straight (heh) to Hell, but that was awesome. The best line? Binks to Kendall: "the baby will keep me up all night, like you" (roughly paraphrased) Hee!

Love, love, loved it! Tell me thats not your first fic cause it was better than lots of stuff I've read, from canon couples no less. Although, we're getting pretty close, we get bits and pieces to chew on and you nailed them. Homework, GPA, be damned, I urge y'all to look this puppy over, it's gold, I tells ya. Well, if a poster at MediaDomain is to be believed, and I have no reason not to believe her, Luscious got screwed out of her Emmy nom, as did Finola. Apparently they only announced Show, Lead and Supporting categories. Devry got nominated, but he was the only AMC nomination. No Rebecca, No Susan. Don't know about Eden yet.

Eden got her nomination but AMC was pretty much shut out of most of the categories. The only other nomination was for William DeVry in Supporting Actor category. I cannot believe that GH was nominated for best show over AMC.

Actually, AMC did extremely well overall in the nominations. Only Y&R received more nominations, 16. AMC and ATWT tied at 14. Next is GH at 12. Most of them are technical nominations, but in addition to Eden and Wil's nominations, AMC also has a nomination for outstanding writing. I'm disappointed but not surprised at Alicia's omission--her episode submission really wasn't going to stand up to the other actresses' submissions, not because of the quality of work she did, but because of the type of ep it was (the horrible dialogue probably hurt, too). With the exception of OLTL's Ilene Kristen, who plays such a unique type of character (and comedic, to boot) that it gives her an advantage in getting noticed, all the other actresses on the list would've been able to submit episodes in which they were really leading, not supporting.

Eden's chances of winning just improved because Jessica Dunphy was somehow overlooked (JD must've made a bad ep choice). That leaves Jennifer Finnigan of B&B as her strongest competition and JF has won twice in a row already.

luv2surf, aw, you're making me blush (and a redfaced Black Knight is an odd sight). Thank you so much--I'm really glad you enjoyed the fan fic. (The line you quoted is one of my personal favorites. I snickered just writing that.) This wasn't my first fan fic altogether (first Kinks fan fic, yes), but it's the first I bothered to actually finish. Usually I come up with the idea and just play it out in my head and drop it.

Wow, what a lousy Emmy showing for AMC! I thought the show would snag a Best Show nom for sure...it may have not been great this year but being passed over in favor of GUIDING LIGHT???

I would have loved for Lucci and Minshew to get nominations but I wasn't surprised to see they didn't.
DeVry and Eden were the only noms, hmmm...he's already gone and she's probably leaving! Too bad Marcy Walker and Julia Barr were sidelined all year--they could have gotten AMC some acting noms!

The biggest letdown is that the only other major nomination is for writing---which means McTrash is probably safe for a while, dangit.

So much AMC being the 'jewel in the crown' of ABC Daytime.

I suspect Susan's scenery-chewing in the first part of the Voldemort ep killed AMC's chances at Best Show. It's exactly the sort of thing that doesn't go over well. That ep was also submitted by Wil deVry and the writing team, so the blue-ribbon panels clearly didn't have a problem with the ep overall.

Susan wrecked her own chances with her episode pick, though really, this year's material is a lot better for her anyway. Of course, with Susan, it's entirely likely she'll also screw up her episode pick for next year's Emmy reel too.

And Eden isn't going anywhere anytime soon, dirksunboy. She has plenty of SL coming up, her contract isn't up until summer and she's already said that she wants to stay.

Yeah, I can't believe that. Jessica must have submitted a crying episode or something. Those never go over well. With her out of the running, at least I'm no longer torn about who to root for in that category.

I'm sure you can all imagine how royally pissed I am about Alicia's shutout.

Bianca said she did think about using Kendall,Lena,or Maggie as the middle name but chose Mona instead.

Miranda Montgomery? I've heard worse. It does keep in with the Kane Women's tradition of choosing names ending with "a". I kinda suspected she'd pick Mona for the middle name because of the whole Christmas thing, plus as a bone to Erica.

For giggles and oinking: 20 Floors Under the Sea It's an 8-minute short with Eden, brother Sam, and their mom. Sam is the shark, Mom's the passed out woman (ha!), and Eden doesn't appear until the last couple of minutes...but it's well worth it, trust me, when she does. (It's a pretty good little short, actually, but how could they misspell Riegel in the end credits? Oy. Details, people...)

Wow, the show continues to be dull. I'm sure Lianca-ites were happy but the only things I found interesting today was:

• Kendall holding Reggie's hand while Exeter was reading the laundry list of charges.
• Bianca was surfing the internet with no visible connection coming out of her laptop at ALL.
• Tarzan got his ass fired! Yeeha!
• That governor's aide was a total Hey It's That Guy. See? I most recognize him from '80s movies Funny Farm and Quick Change.

I surf the net wirelessly, so maybe that's what Bianca was doing. Oh, wait: this is AMC and therefore it was the equivalent of lip-synching. Or, you know, Milli Vanilli.

Bianca's choice of name for VolderBaby is so anvilly it's ridiculous: Miranda is the only female character in the play (The Tempest, which is what Lena is reading to the baby); her beauty is exhaulted and she serves as a comparison to all the other – male – characters: she personifies perfection, intelligence, goodness of spirit and heart and, brace yourselves for this one, she has never been touched by a man. In fact, with the exception of her father, Prospero, Miranda has neither seen nor touched a man. Leave it to AMC to find the most Christ-like woman William Shakespeare has ever written and get Bianca to name her kid after her. Thank you: I had NO idea Bianca’s baby was innocent.

CKD, I'd be more bothered by the name of Bianca's baby if I thought more than 10% of AMC viewers would get the allusion at all. If AMC wanted to be way obvious they could've gone for Mary, as in Virgin, as the name. Or Hope. Or Faith. Or Heart/Hart. Heh. Frankly, I was really worried about Hope in particular (no offense to any Hopes out there, it's a fine name, just too much in this case).

Okay, maybe not, but I could totally picture McHack congratulating herself on her “cleverness.” And, with the birth of Volderbaby, McHack will have once again created a “signature” character ($$$) for herself -- and superglued it to a core AMC family no less. So, when McTrash finally gets the McBoot (no spoilers, just a fervent wish), she can leisurely plot the many ways in which to torture Erica, Bianca, and VolderTeen while awaiting her next stint at AMC.

The “Legacy of the Kane Women” stuff bugs. Until Erica recently added the latest Rape, Lies, Deceit (or whatever) caveats – the LotKW was a type of empowering, inspirational mantra for each of the girls (including Mona). But, considering the misery Mona suffered because of Eric Kane, why would Mona choose to allegorically label herself and her progeny as Kane Women? An ass-backward acknowledgement of her own internal fortitude by way of twisted homage to the bastard who f’d up her and her daughter’s lives? Mona Kane Tyler was big on irony. Who knew? It’s pretty insidious if you think about it. But why has Erica perpetuated this? Especially with her ‘newfound’ respect for Mona since Mona’s death. I’d love to see a bit of dawning realization on Erica’s part during the next sappy LotKW bonding scene (‘cause y’all just know we’ll get one eventually) once the current craziness is behind them – with Erica interrupting Bianca, mid-LotKW recitation, to kill the LotKW label and/or rechristen them as the “Tyler Women” (even though Tyler wasn’t Mona’s maiden name, just go with it).

Boo!! to the recent AMC casting/un-casting rumors you all have been discussing. And I don’t know what to make of the spoilers. Hopefully, McFrons will be collecting unemployment soon and AMC will get a headwriter(s) who can fix the trainwreck of characters and storylines left behind.

I'm not bothered by the name. I appreciate the nice little throwback to history--as Bianca herself was named after a character from Shakespeare--and it's nice that Lena had a little part in naming her.

The only parts I liked today was Lianca, Jack being protective of his "kids" (it warms my heart when he refers to K/B/R/G all as "his kids"), and Aiden being all smiley. Greenlee & Ryan is the worst. I'd rather watched Marmund then those two and their stupid psychic connection.

Something that annoyed me yesterday:
What the fuck was Tad being so self-righteous about? Didn't he sleep with Krystal twice to get her secret out of her? Shut up, Tad. And shut up, Krystal--although I've warmed up to your charming daughter I still want to punch you in your pug nose everytime I see you.

I'm happy for Wil and Eden and their noms, but terribly upset that Alicia didn't get one. The clinic scene she submitted was my #1 scene from last year and Lish was absolutely terrific in it.

Well Lena certainly was adorable today...all nerdy with her wireless. And she even bookmarked sites for Bianca. Geeks rock my world. She's deliciously dorky.

Did I hear this correctly, one of Reggie's offenses was abuse of a corpse? Freaking hilarious. I don't know why but I cracked up at that tidbit. And how cute was he when he heard Jackson wanted to plead guilty to all the charges and Reg (my boytoy) yelled, "Dad!"

Kendall looked freakin' hot in that black dress. Now quit crying about Ryan! Stat! I think the main thing I hate about Ryan is CamMath's acting. He's so...jarring.

Woof! I certainly do not like the name Miranda Mona Cambius...I mean Montgomery. The alliteration is killing me. Although I would have screamed all kinds of goodness if she named her Kendall, it would be too much. HystErica (someone claim this TM) is gonna go apeshit when hearing about the baby's name. I hope Susan doesn't go into her histrionic acting...she's been doing a damn good job so far.

CKD, hee to calling Olga's post bizarre. Either she's too dumb to know how her post sounds, or she has a death wish -- both of which I somehow doubt -- or she and AMC worked something out. Certainly if the talk that she was leaving was correct, then it makes little sense for her to post something like this instead of just waiting the few days until Monday. I wonder what's up with the draconian level of secrecy, too.

I must not get it, unless my original thought that there's a ride and a sunset and a white horse built for two involved, but I don't think Olga could talk about that on Monday, so I must be wrong.

The fact that the baby is not being named Mona, makes me suspect that Bianca won't have the baby returned to her after the switch....

I loved the Lianca scenes today - they talked about feelings and stuff!!!! And we got to watch and understand where they are coming from - what a concept. Almost 4 entire scenes of them alone (except for the end when Maggie barged in), rubbing each others hands/bellies, playing with hair, kissing cheeks, hugging (in what looked like a really uncomfortable position for Eden) - and I swear, as the camera panned away from the hug, it looked like Bianca was sliding her hand down to reach for Lena's butt (I rewound it and watched in slow motion, just to be certain)!!!! Damn that Maggie's stupid timing!!

ETA: The one thing I hated was when they cut away from the Lianca buying stuff off the internet, in the MIDDLE of a frikken word - Olga was in the middle of the word "so" (I think) and suddenly we are in the court house??? The editors have GOT to do a better job than that.

DrCher, I'm not following your logic...? Could you explain further? It may take a while--probably will--but I do think Bianca will end up reunited with her daughter by the end of the SL. Her daughter is a member of the core Kane-Montgomerys, after all--AMC would never permanently separate the kid from the family.

Eden was flinging around those anvils about Bianca's baby like a pro today. Speaking of such, spoiler for next week: As Bianca and Kendall worried over Erica's behavior at Bianca's baby shower, a distraught Erica urged Babe to persuade Bianca not to have the child, saying dire things could happen if she bore Michael's baby.

Good lord--does that mean Erica is not even arguing for adoption, she's actually trying to get Babe to convince Bianca to have an abortion when Bianca is eight months pregnant? Jeez, Erica...you've lost it. I hope Babe smacks you down like she did Mary.

I loved Jack lecturing Kendall and Reggie before they met with Singer--"no out-of-the-blue revelations, no trash talking"--he knows them so well. Hee. I couldn't believe how well-behaved they were while Singer was going on and on about the charges. Aw, I love the Kane-Montgomerys in all their various configurations. I did trip up at one line though--Jack was saying something about Kendall and Reggie trying to protect "their sister and their cousin"--sister I get, but cousin? Who?

Aidan/Anita do have chemistry; I still want Kaidan, but I'd be okay with A/A too if AMC insisted on going that way. At least they're not a black hole like some other couples...such as Ryan/Greenlee, who I FF'd in their entirety today.

The Lianca scenes were great. Loved Bianca handshagging Lena like mad at the start, and touching Lena's face a lot later on was a nice throwback to their morning-after, down to Lena then taking and kissing Bianca's hand. I appreciated the clarification about their relationship--I'd always thought they were dating, but it was nice to hear it confirmed. What they both said about the state of their relationship was exactly right and emotionally realistic, in that they know they are progressing well but not ready to live together yet. I think the spoilered scene about Lena's therapy must've come after the scene in which they talk about their relationship--a lot of Lena's words had that "I've had a lot of excellent therapy" feel and I saw Bianca picking up on that and looking curious (she's had tons of therapy herself, after all), I bet she asked and Lena answered in the omitted scene, a convo probably resulting in the hug that Naggie walked in on in the scene after. I don't know why AMC cut it, but just because they did doesn't mean they can't do another scene later. If Olga is staying, I think we'll get it.

Well, Bianca is Jack's niece, and Reggie is Jack's son, so Bianca is Reggie's cousin.

Black Knight, I think you and I will forever disagree on Bianca's courtroom heroics. I feel that honesty is best in most situations, (a phrase that is often heard passing from my self-righteous lips is, "The worst thing anyone can be is a liar.") but there was far too much at stake, in my opinion, for Bianca to take it upon herself to put an end to the whole damn mess, so to speak. As far as elaborating with Kendall--a sentence or two, omitting Kendall's faults, of course, would have done it. Had I written that scene, I never would have left it at that one sentence. Though, I will admit that I usually have to cut half of everything I've written out of any piece of writing. So, had I written that scene, two pages of dialogue would have been cut down to that one sentence by someone. And I'm rambling. . .

Bianca's buying a two bedroom house? Where the fuck is Kendall supposed to sleep, eh? Eh? I'll fanwank it that Binky's going to buy a king sized bed.

As for the Nag, first off, no matter how this "triangle" goes, Bianca's going to be in need of a new BFF. It would be nice if they could maneuver the baby switch in such an manner that Babe and Bianca could bond over their ordeal, come out of it friends, ect. If done right, it could produce a bond just as deep and lasting as that of Baggie. And then Naggie could fall down Greenlee's mineshaft never to be heard from again. However, I would not mind that the Nag is about to be revealed as bisexual, if I knew that Bianca's response to the revelation would be something along the lines of, "Wow, imagine how different both of our lives would be if you'd figured this out a year and a half ago. Hmmm. Well, good on ya! Go to, my friend, the world is your vagina!" Then Bianca and Lena take Naggie down the Blue Angel and give her pointers on how to pick up women. That, I would watch and enjoy. And as for yesterday's eppy, you know, Kinks don't even have to bother with the eyefucking to be hot. All they have to do is refer to each other and interact with each other with an ease and familarity that bespeaks a sisterly relationship beyond the norm. And they always do that. I've seen the first two episodes. I don't have Showtime, so I have to make due with the recaps, but I hope that by this time next week, I will have caught up with the entire series. It's slow going with *cough*a56Kdialupconnection*cough*. But, two episodes was plenty to make me fall hopelessly in love with Jennifer Beals and Leisha Hailey. As if I needed more actresses to obsess over. *sigh*

I, uh, wouldn't be too sure about that. You have SUCH imagination. And don't even get me started on all those Aiden pictures. I don't know if anyone is familiar with livejournal.com and personal icons but I have made like 33 of those things centered around Aiden alone. It's almost criminal how well that man photographs.

Ah. I'll admit to knowing next to nothing about guns (I still remember bits and pieces from the "Hunter's Safety" class that was required for graduation from my high school). So, do double action revolvers look the same as regular handguns?

So, Olga is leaving the show? The fack was with that cryptic, yet oddly hopeful message to the Liancas about, then? Oh, man, does this mean we're headed for Baggie 4 Eva? Spare me. Ugh.

Yup. You're really only able to tell if it's double action by if it cocks itself when you pull the trigger (or if you know so very much about guns that you know what its features are merely by hearing the name of it. Don't laugh, it's rather common in Texas). If it's single action, nothing happens; it's like the trigger is stuck. Those guns don't even have a safety function on them, there's no need.

Thanks for the news, Rif_Randle! MI-5? (aka Spooks?) Yee-hah! I LOVE that show, and we already get it here on cable! A&E has been showing it this past year, and without being that far behind the BBC -- at least a much shorter delay than for their stuff that usually winds up on PBS stations. (Hey, so *that's* what Mimi meant in her chat today -- she said that we would still be able to see Olga's new British work here in the US.)

Well, I'm still very disappointed about Lianca, especially after today's wonderful scenes -- you know, with the actual communication that I've been waiting for for, oh, let's see, uh, 8 months now? (...and no Naggie until the very end -- but snarkyb, you know they couldn't go an *entire* ep without Naggie cutting in. ;) ) The online scuttlebutt that Lena's therapy (& possibly suicide) reveal to Bianca was cut today still makes me nervous about how AMC's going to handle Lianca, for however long it lasts. And then Olga's post today @ SS still has me confused, wondering if maybe AMC is seeing the start of an outcry and is now trying to accommodate her coming back at some point (or giving at least the end of Lianca's relationship the respect it deserves). But now at least I won't have to wait forever to see her new work.... and she's gonna be a spy! International intrigue & danger galore -– I bet we’ll see a lot of Olga’s fantastic “screwed” expressions again. Hee.

Well, I'm thrilled that Olga's going to MI-5; what an awesome show for her!! She'll finally be given the opportunity to use her considerable talent, and I'm delighted. I think her message to the SS was hopeful FOR HER because she's leaving soaps and going to primetime!! Yay!! I'm a huge Lianca fan, but, really, this is so much better for Olga. Can't wait to see it!

Any speculations on how Lena will depart Pine Valley?

I don't want Bianca and Maggie together. I kinda like Maggie and Jamie together.
