Oooh, could be. Or maybe Babe will find out the baby isn't JR's, convince the Chandlers to put off a DNA test until after the birth, and decide to give it to Bianca, who won't know her child died. Then Babe pretends HER baby died, grows closer to JR through the "grieving process," gets her wish of staying married to him, renders the paternity question moot, and THEN take the nanny job (or becomes Bianca's BFF, or something) so she can be close to the kid she knows is really hers.

Which means we'd get lots of monologues and people walking in the room saying, "What do you mean? Did I just hear you say it's YOUR baby?" And she'll go, "Well I just spend so much time with her..." blech. Contrived. So, it's probably on the McTrash short list.

McTrash says the baby switch spec on the net isn't even close to her plans. But I could see Babe thinking, "If my baby can't have the Chandler fortune, then I'll make certain he gets the Cambias fortune."

It's craptastic, so I hope it doesn't happen.

The OLTL crossover babyswap spec above may be the ticket. Remember when Frons said there are two babies due at the same time? He didn't specifically say AMC. It could be a misdirection- "SURPRISE." (meh. And more meh.)

But with the photos of Bianca and Babe at Lamaze class together, I think TPTB are speeding up Babe's due date - to match Bianca's.

Let's just say that McTrash was technically telling the truth when she said that all the internet speculation she'd read about the baby switch prior to the SOD chat was wrong, and that this is something that's never been done on daytime before. Also, remember that in McTrash's world, "Nothing is too much."

I'll ask my friend if it's okay for me to post the details soon. Enough seems to have started leaking out that soon it can't be traced back to one person.

After watching today's ep on Tivo--ok, really just the Kendall/David scenes--I have to say I hope they don't hook up long-term (a brief affair, okay). They have great chemistry, but what decided me was Kendall's motivation for picking him--because she feels he's as loathed as she is and that she doesn't deserve any better. I don't want that for her. It'd be different if they were going about it like, this is a couple that enjoys being bad and laughs at everyone else, but instead it's more of a "two hopeless outcasts banding together" deal for her, and thus very bad for her near-nonexistent self-esteem. I felt sad for her, and I was glad David had the decency to say no.

Was anyone else sort of squicked by the Kendall/David? I kept flipping away like I do during scary movie stuff. If they had the right attitude going into that, then I could get behind it, but this whole I'm a loser, you're a loser, we should make out angle didn't work for me. Also, was it just me or was she not totally saying some of her lines directly to his crotch?

Ryan is an ass. He claims everything that went wrong with the relationship was Kendall's fault and takes no blame whatsoever. Ass. Ass. ASS. Why can't they pair him with Maggie. I hate the thought of continuing to fast forward through Rebecca. And, if they get back together, I may even have to fast forward through Alicia.

By the way, Maggie's new roommate will be Jamie, and next week Lena tells Bianca that she's been in therapy.

Modified Baby Switch Spec:
From those spoilers, JR is the baby's daddy. I see Adam wanting to take over that child's life completely, having a large role in the life of a future Chandler, pushing Babe completely out of the picture. Babe is going to feel disconnected (her Mom is off giving Tad head and she has no one to talk to - she'll grow closer to Bianca and see what a great mother that kid will have) and will worry about the type of life her child will have. She and Bianca will go into labor together, somewhere secluded - maybe during a storm, power outage, or whatever May sweeps calamity is in the works. Bianca's baby will die, but Babe, in a moment of unstability, will claim the dead newborn as her own and covertly give her child to Bianca (without Binks or Kinks knowledge). Babe will become the baby's nanny. Ryan's living room will still be unfurnished.

All right, I did some begging this morning, and got permission to post some spoiler info on the pregnancies: First, the good news. Bianca gives birth to a healthy GIRL. The Kane Women dynamics remain intact.

Now, the bad news: Babe gives birth to a boy. Paul drugs Babe and steals her baby to give to his sister Kelly, who has lost her baby and needs a child to hold onto her husband. Babe is given Bianca's daughter, but will be suspicious because she feels very certain that she gave birth to a boy. However, given how dense Babe is, it may take her forever to arrive at the conclusion there was a baby switch.

ABC has this planned as a major crossover SL, very much to try to get people who only watch OLTL to tune into AMC, and vice versa. For those who don't watch OLTL, Kelly and her husband Kevin each belong to one of OLTL's core families. And on the AMC side, obviously with both Bianca and Babe involved in this mess, that brings in the Kane-Montgomerys and Chandlers. It's never been done on daytime before, because hey, I can't recall another SL that involved THREE pregnancies and babies being swapped around. Brilliant. [/sarcasm] The only thing that pleases me about the entire mess is watching Kelly Cramer's ass inevitably get kicked by Kinks and Babe when the truth comes out. I hope they kill her and her loathsome brother. It's sad for me because I've always been a huge fan of the Cramer Women and I hate that Kelly's officially dead to me.

Bianca will think her baby is dead, of course. Because Bianca can never be happy for more than five minutes--Eden's too good of a crier and McTrash is from the school of writing where you show love to your favorite characters by torturing them endlessly.

Let's hope that Lianca can get in one episode of happy togetherness before Bianca's world falls apart again.

Yup, that's the one bit to eeeeeee! over, kariyaki. Though the thought of Eden, and maybe Alicia, potentially getting to cross over to OLTL is cool, too. We should also get some more Dorian/Adam scenes, since Kelly is Dorian's niece.

And you're right, Erica's Smirk of Satisfaction is going to be unbearable. I hope when she rushes to "comfort" Bianca over losing her baby, Bianca throws her right out on her designer ass.

In revenge, my source said I couldn't know exactly how the Bianca portion of the baby switch goes down, i.e. who's involved and so on. I'm left to speculate--there are reasons for Paul to want Babe to have a baby, depending on what kind of deal he's got set up with her or Adam over money, or it could be Erica/Krystal, or something. Mystic0, I assume Bianca will move in Ryan's ex new place with Kendall and no, not because I love Kinks and must have it at all costs but because 1. she won't be living alone and 2. there is no reason or justification for a move with Lena. Of course, McT loves doing things that make no sense.

CKD, my source doesn't care about Lianca. Gasp! I know. Sacrilege. So I'm working on a conversion to the Altar of Kinks instead, but it doesn't help that my source rarely watches AMC (but has noticed the Kinks chemistry on those occasions) and so the full Charm of the Pervy hasn't worked its magic yet. Damn conservative religious upbringings...it does take a while to struggle through that so that one can gleefully ship sisters. Heh.

QueenB, my guess is that Erica would know better than to say anything so obvious. I think it's much more likely that she'll rush to welcome Bianca back into the fold, under the guise of "comforting" her of course. After all, no baby, no problem, Bianca's golden again.

I so hope that Bianca is not so utterly devastated that she can't see right through it. Her BS detector is terrific and she isn't under any illusions about her mother's uglier side. I can see Kendall not quite catching on right away and blinking in confusion, but Bianca should immediately.

Speaking of bondage, I was driving my girlfriend to the airport early this morning; we were idling behind a van with a flag with stripes and a heart and I was all "what the hell is that?" and she said "that means they're into leather and...you know." I thought she was joking, but I was wrong. So, naturally, I started thinking about Bianca, Kendall and carpooling and the stickers they could have on their Van Of Love.

Bwah, CKD. But I must insist on one thing: It's the Jeep of Love. Because Kendall totally drives a jeep. (Yeah, I know she was driving something else the last time we saw her car, but that's only because she didn't have any money. Bianca will buy her whatever car she wants now. Heck, she'll buy Kendall a whole fleet of cars if that's what Kendall wants.)

That reminds me, that also really annoyed me about yesterday's ep, as far as the effect that Erica and Ryan had on Kendall. The day started off badly, but it turned out really well--she was cleared of Michael's murder, she no longer has to worry about Bianca being arrested for it, and she's actually more popular than she ever has been with PV in general. But instead, thanks to the Terrible Two of Erica/Ryan, Kendall ended up down in the dumps, feeling unloved and utterly down on herself. Blech. Kendall, go find Bianca when you're in these moods!

I'm all for the Jeep of Love because, well, I hate vans. But, you know, Kendall is the type of Auntie Mom who will fret and absolutely buy the safest and, therefore, most boring car ever made to shuttle Kendall Jr. around. And it'll be some horrid color for a car - like white because white is the most visible color on the highway. Most visible? Yeah, I wondered about that, too, but it's true. Bizarre. Now, to take Binca on dates, well...that's completely different. From reclining to flat in 0.2 seconds. Hee hee.

ETA: why does AMC have to suck on such a consistent basis? And will JR ever stop sucking in his cheeks?

That's very true, CKD. I definitely have Kendall pegged as being the overly dramatic, indulgent mom in this equation (as if you couldn't tell from the fan fic). Bianca and Lena will be calmer and more restrained. But for Kendall, nothing will be too good for her little Kendallette. Hee.

That said, I figure Kendall will insist Bianca own the boring car (because it'll be safer for Bianca as well as the Kendallette), while she zips around in her Jeep of Love.

Hee, and so true. I'm sure Lena would manage to assign some incredibly noble and pure motive, too. Like how kind it is of Bianca to give all these rattlesnakes a good home, or something.

However, I have just realized, with a relief, that Bianca's Rack-o-SORAS, Glorious Abs, Bootylicious Ass, Doe Eyes, and, finally, the Hot Glare Effect cannot talk me into absolutely anything. Because there is nothing on this planet that would convince me a snake farm's a good idea. Whew. It's good to have some limits. Lena, Kendall--look into this, 'k?

You just knew it was going to be another round of kick the puppy on AMC. Letting Bianca think her baby is dead? Just too much for me. Maybe it's the mom in me, but there are certain lines you don't cross--I don't care if it is a damn fictional story--and letting a mother think her baby is dead is horrible. I don't know who's going to be in on this, other than Paul, but whoever it is may end up being dead to me.

Yeah, Ryan, don't call Greenlee's father who's been worried to death about her. Nah, that'd be stupid. Ass.

Nice to see that Anita looks at "professional" attire the same way her sister does. I don't care if you do know the chief of staff, you don't show up asking for a job dressed like that. She is totally Maria's sister. And is there no security in the maternity ward there? Anyone can just stroll in and ogle the babies when they get the urge?

Which is probably why she didn't want kids. She might have figured she'd never love anyone enough to have kids with them, or somebody would never love her enough - especially with her history - to want kids with her. Yeah, it would have been nice to actually see the scene where they, oh, say talked and got to know each other.

Yeah, but that was in context with Kendall having a child. I mean, I hate babies and children, and never plan to have any, but I'd say the same thing about them too (and then gag). It's endlessly amazing to me I'm so up on the Kinks lovechild, to the point of writing a childbirth sequence with them gushing over a baby. Good lord. But then I think a large part of it is simply because Kinks is kinky--that's one part where if I were watching Lena in the same scenes I'm watching Kendall, I'd overdose on sugar instead of going "Awwwww." That Pervy edge is what keeps the Kinks TwoMommies stuff working for me even when they're being so damn cute I would normally be in sugar shock. Most baby stuff on TV sends me into sugar shock.

Word. I always thought it made sense for Lena not to want kids though. First, there was her life before she came to PV, when she was interested only in money and power and was an amoral ice queen (the SOS scene in which she tells Bianca she's not used to feeling emotions). And while she's changed a lot, she's a little greedy (in a cute way) where Bianca is concerned and just seems like the type to me who would prefer not to share her girlfriend with a kid or to have to adjust the sort of lifestyle she seems to like, such as dining out and traveling. She's a pretty cosmopolitan type and not wedded to traditional cultural imperatives such as "All women must have children!" Which is completely fine by me. But Bianca's pregnant, she's not giving the kid up, so Lena has to take both, and from all appearances she has a very good attitude about it. I'm sure she'll be a good parent, perhaps the type who is especially good at parenting when the kid gets older.

I'm also sure the knowledge that Bianca has plenty of money and a huge support system helps. Finding a babysitter so Lianca can enjoy a night out is never going to be an issue, nor will they have to sacrifice financially or slave away at jobs they don't like. Not that parenting's ever a walk in the park, but some of the strains of having children won't be present here.

Adam says Joe faked the tests. Tad comes in to tell that Babe is still married to Paul.
Jack trys to spend time with Erica but she's busy busy busy. She needs to go so she can put Kendall in at Enchantment.
Opal drops in,Erica gives her some wine..Opal talks to Erica about her drinking,Erica says she has no problem.
Kendall and David talking.
Ryan and Greenlee talking.
Kendall and Boyd talk. She offers him job. He says no he made a deal with the DA and is on probation, then tells her off and leaves.

Notice, mind you, that I didn't say that I wouldn't do it...I just wouldn't think up a blissfully adoring reason to worship Bianca further for it, as Lena would. ;-)
