kariyaki, Mystic0, SkiffyPup, Black Knight, & others:: Thanks for the enthusiastic reception & you’re all very welcome -- it warms my heart to enable people to "Eeeee!" who so often make me LOL. And although honored by your offer Mystico, I’m pretty sure my hubby won’t share. ;)

Now in the interest of full disclosure, I have to state that I started as (& still am first) a Lena/Olga fan; my ship is Lianca; and I was initially kind of “Ewww!” at the Kinks stuff. (Hey, 12 years of parochial school takes some getting over!) But thanks to this thread, while waiting (and waiting, AND WAITING…) for Lianca to regroup (or is that re-grope?), I’ve been worn down to the point that looking for Kinks subtext became a more and more entertaining distraction. As example, here is the chronology of my thoughts on the Lamaze partners pics:
1) Initial -- Frell! MAJORLY disappointed that it wasn’t Lena. (But who was I kidding? LaMaze involves lots of “lean back into me” & such, and Lord knows McT wouldn’t lock herself into showing Lianca do that on a regular basis, would she?) Then a tiny fanwank that maybe they’d backpedal (ignoring NYE’s dance & kiss) to show the rape victim slowly progressing through more intimate touching with her lover… Oh wait, it’s McT. She already fulfilled the “socially responsible” part of this rape story with those 2 15-second PSAs, right? (No, I’m not bitter at all. “Why, what have you heard?” tm AGR)
2) Seconds later – Whew, at least it’s not Naggie, who’s been annoying me NO END. Besides becoming obsessively selfish over B, *must* she be in -- or have a reaction shot to -- every frellin’ Lianca scene? We get so few (& short) scraps to begin with.
3) After a few moments – <Ugh> Even though I find Babe semi-tolerable around Binky, JR is probably going to completely cancel out that positive rub-off effect.
4) Finally, after a bit of squinting at those tiny preview pics -- ”Wait a minute, is Kendall actually snuggling up to Binx in that pic? Man, bye-bye subtext. (Wait a beat.) Then a tiny, barely audible “eeeee”. <gasp!> Did I just “eeeee!” over Kinks? Good Lord, I am going to hell. On a sled. With cocktails.

So if no one minds I’ll catch the sled shuttle when there’s room (Aidan & Boyd serving drinks… <Mmmm>), but just while I’m waiting out the Lianca marginalization -- so with McFrons, possibly forever. Just please don’t point out to the Dark Father that he's my second choice, OK? No need to piss him off unnecessarily. (Hey, it started snowing here since I began typing this -- is that a sled omen?)

I love catching up with this thread at the end of the day because I can always count on you guys to make me laugh!!

OMG! Kinks at Lamaze?!? EEEEEEE! Kinks on the floor together. Kendall rubbing Bianca's back, cooing reassuring words in her ear. Binky relaxing softly into Kendall. ::sigh:: Pervy is the best thing ever! And Binky in red? ROWR. That is what I'm talking about!

I know I'm way late with this, but I'd like to chime in that I could have sworn that Bianca was about to propose to Kendall down on one knee and in front of their mom and everything. I love it when the whole Pervy crew works on the same day.

I had the same thoughts you did about the no Lena in the Lamaze classes thing and, like you, immediately blamed McTool and her attitude about all things Lianca BUT - hey, we'll get Kinks overload and I am just fine with that.

Also, I'm looking forward to the outraged screams from the more traditional Lianca contingent: it's time I keep on snarking on the Retcon 32 and also include a line or two about the Picket Fence Contingent.

ripley9, no worries about your full disclosure--actually, most of us Kinks fans also ship Lianca. And the great thing about Kinks is that we don't have to choose one over the other. Kinks has an open relationship -- heck, they actually work at getting each other the other people they want to be with. Snerk. Now that's love.

The lamaze thing doesn't bother me because Kendall is a huge part of why Bianca is having this baby and because I know that next week is supposed to be good for Lianca. Both Lianca and Kinks--whee! Right on. That's the great thing about loving both Kinks and Lianca (and Kaidan, dammit!), I'm almost guaranteed to get one of my couples on-screen daily. Kinks actually made me a better Lianca shipper. Instead of being miserable about Lianca's glacial pace, I can chill back on the sled downing drinks and laugh at all the Kinksy antics. Subtext couples (even though 'subtext' barely applies to Kinks these days) have saved me from dying of frustration on many shows, but none have been as pervily marvelous as Kinks. Thanks for keeping me entertained, Pervy.

So I watched today's show. Bianca's speech wasn't as cringe worthy as I remember. Freaky concidence Assicle used the word "cringe" with Bianca. Ewww.

Anyway, Kinks was amazing today. When Kendall stared lovingly at Bianca and said, "you give me hope". I almost thought she was going to break out in song.

I just got back from a free screening of the movie at school and our beloved (snerk) Jacob Young has a small part as the popular high school jock who, at the end, jumps at the chance to be a part of what he thinks is a porn video.

Here's some random sled questions. What color do y'all think the sled is? Is it one giant ever-expanding sled or a bunch of sleds tethered together with the power of perviness? Since Boyd is leaving who will we replace him with? Do I need counseling?

I'm looking forward to the Kendall/David stuff. I don't think I want anything relationshippy to happen, but the scenes should be pretty entertaining.

The Sled is a supernatural vehicle that exists outside of physical reality; So, physical dimensions and descriptions cannot suffice. Much like Hell itself, it has many different ways it can appear to each individual soul.

I see The Sled as medium sized, yet large enough for a full bar that only serves Hella-spicy Kinksatinis, with comfy fully reclining seating arranged in a coctail party kind of way.
Oh, and a TV. Two bucket seats up front for dirver and shotgun (ceremonial positions. The team unfailingly goes straight to Hell.), and a team of 13 supernaturally hella huge horses with glowing red eyes and bodies soooo black- they seem to absorb all light.

Oh, and The Sled exterior is shiny black laquer with silver inlay. If you look very very closely- the inlay depicts appropriately perverted naked Kinks in various positions.

As for the sled, I too have always envisioned it as transcending earthly notions of time and space, yet expanding and contracting to accommodate the riders. That's why I always chuckle when people ask if there's room for one more. Hee! There's ALWAYS room! And by room, I mean the kind where everyone is comfortable and there's lots of leg room, but somehow we still have to sit/lie down with our legs pressed up against each others, just to fuel the sexual tension that helps drive the damn thing.

Interesting spoiler on Olga's forum today. Apparently some people see the episodes a day ahead and give sneak peaks. Today, Erica gives Enchantment to Kendall and says she's going to Europe to start a clothing business. I'm sure it's just so she can stay away from Bianca, but this could be interesting. Of course, Erica doesn't really own Enchantment anymore, but since when does continuity matter in this storyline.

When rewatching that, I realized that, as much as I love Reggie and the siblings trio, he FUCKED THINGS UP. Dammit, Reg! If you look at it, it's so obviously, "Kendall, are we (engaged)? Is it (a proposal)?" And then Kendall's all shiny happy loving eyeshagging eyes as she tells Bianca yes. But before she can whip out the ring and kiss Bianca, Reggie breaks in with his mistaken interpretation of what he thought Bianca was asking. (But it's okay, I can't be mad at him and I forgave him instantly because he was just so damn cute with the hugging and all.)

Mysticks Muse, Ryan told Erica that Bianca was going to give Enchantment back to her. So I'm sure Erica is either figuring she can simply tell Bianca to give Enchantment to Kendall and not Erica, or that Erica can sign over Enchantment to Kendall after Bianca signs over Enchantment to her. But yeah, interesting spoiler. Next week Erica falls apart, so we may be in for the end of Susan's wonderfully subtle acting and get the scenery-chewing instead. I hope not.

I think Kendall/David have great chemistry, and would be an appealing couple, but I have to admit I'm finding it slightly squicky (yes, I know, it's ridiculous of me). Not only has he slept with her mother, but he did the rape exam on her sister. kariyaki, there is nothing definite about how far Kendall/David will go. They only talk about having an affair, and Kryan are still supposed to be a very serious option because it hasn't been decided yet which woman will get Ryan, Kendall or Greenlee. So essentially, it sounds like another chemistry test. Surprise surprise.

In the spirit of Kinks, I'd like to now comment on what were my favorite bits from yesterday's ep, now that I've rewatched once or twice *cough*. I loved Kendall rushing to hug Bianca in the courtroom--and again it's such a replay of when Bianca rushed to hug Kendall on Kinksday. I loved Kendall's "She's not going anywhere without me!" (Yeah, I'm sure if Bianca had gone to jail, Kendall would've gotten herself put into the same cell and then we would've had something close to what katesus7 was envisioning. Hee.) And I really loved when Kendall lost it in the judge's chambers and started ranting about how she'd tell the jury that she had killed Michael and Bianca was lying to save her butt. Girlfriend was dead serious and about to go medieval on the prosecution's asses. ("I am warning you, Ms. Hart..." Heh.)

I caught the Reggie grinning and patting Tarzan bit. What's even funnier, though, is that Dax Griffin forgets to be in character and starts to make a "you my man" gesture back at Reggie, and then quickly has to change it to something more appropriate, considering that Tarzan's supposed to be slinking out with his tail between his legs.

You know, I was just thinking, Black Knight (yeah, I know... working without tools again). You could post the Kinks fanfic over at Soap Slut. The traffic there is pretty modest.

There's a zillion pictures on Eden's board of her in both the red tanktop and the black jacket she did actually wear for some of the night at the Brokerage appearance (she's still going to die of a chest cold), but this is a niiiiiice body-length shot. Yum. Hurry up and have Bianca give birth already so that Eden can wear that red tanktop on the show, dammit! But not before the Kinks lamaze scenes, of course.

I was thinking yesterday that apparently they are in fact shooting for Olga growing her hair out altogether, since she's now nearly out of that in-between stage that was giving her the mullet-like look, so I don't expect a haircut back to her old length on the horizon. If she's taken it this far she's probably going to go all the way. That's fine, I guess, but really, her stylist shouldn't have just let her twist in the wind in this in-between stage. There are ways to grow out hair while still having it look good.

Oh, and while Mikey was his usual creepy bastard ass self in the flashback (though Wil deVry was a bit out of control with the hand gestures--ease up, boy), I have to admit that I found not only the shot of Bianca getting up hot, but also the next shot in which she's glaring at him while he's spewing his "Don't...don't stop?" crap. Yowza. Eden can totally do vixen. I loved the look of shock on his face when she pulled the trigger just after he told her she'd have to do everything she was told for the rest of his life. I don't think so, Mikey. No one tells a Kane Woman what to do. Ha.

Where, oh where, is onewomanshow? Come back! We miss you!

I like Nu!Anita. She seems like a nice person, and a good sister. Which means there is probably some storyline on the horizon where she loses these qualities. But for now, I like her.

McTrash can never resist going over the top. Whatever, as long as it wraps up Voldemort. The trial's over, her baby's doing fine and is due in a few weeks, so Binks can turn her attention to love matters now. Well, love matters that don't involve her girlf--oops, sister. We all know Kinks have been brainstorming like mad.

Does anyone else ever try to pin down when they first started? Obviously by the time of the infamous couch brainstorming session, but I'm not sure that was their first time. Especially since Kendall knew already how Bianca loves her rubber ducky. Hee. Yes, I'm sick.

Erica was lecturing Kendall about how she pushed Ryan away when he'd put himself out on a limb helping her and keeping her secrets, all as a "subtle" jab at Jack for not doing that with her. It was quite horrifying.

Well, you'll be in heaven today then. Binks got her glare on quite a bit.

I really, really hope that's the last we see of Mikey. I knew we would get a 'Bianca facing her demons' scene (McT loves being literal), and I would have liked TPTB showing Binks talking to her counselor about it much better, but (again) I liked that one more issue was dealt with. I'm hoping that TPTB don't completely gloss over the utter mind fuck that it must be to kill someone, even if that person soooo had it coming, but I guess it won't be so bad if they do. We know Bianca is still getting therapy off screen so I can just chalk it up to being dealt with there. I'm guessing the main source of Bianca angst is going to be geared toward her lunatic of a mother. That's cool with me, I'm looking forward to seeing how all this goes.

Speaking of issues, color me grateful for that first Lianca scene. I thought it was cool to have Binks acknowledge that she's aware that Lena doesn't see her clearly. We've known that forever but it was nice seeing it confirmed. I also enjoyed getting to see a bit of how Lena views Lianca, as people and a couple. I'm digging on these little Lianca advancements. Now that the Mikey crap is clearing up, I think we'll actually get some progress going on Bianca's relationships. I'm down with that.

Erica is an evil bitch troll (though, dammit, I still find her more interesting than ever before). Her mock praise of Kendall and then her clawing covertly at one of Kendall's weak points was just chilling. I'm scared of Erica, man. Her reasoning for signing over Enchantment to Kendall was just creepy. It's like she was thanking Kendall for a job well done (with a deeply pissed undertone) and I think there's a subtle 'fuck you' to Bianca in there as well. Erica.........just wow, man.



So true. I laughed at him when he was telling Greens that the answer to her happiness was in a box. Ryan? Greens already knows that. Heh.

What ever happened to Mia's son, Angie and Jessie's grandson? Did Frank ever get to see him before he left the show?

They should recast Frank and bring him back.

It gave me chills. I think her top is really going to blow soon. I hope when it does that Jack gets the blunt of it. I think it could really destroy whatever kind of relationship Bianca and Kendall still have with Erica for a long time. Of course that would bring about Kinks comfort scenes, so it's not a total loss.



I guess there is movement on the glacial passed Lianca front. I'm not holding my breathe for any real progress anytime soon, but today's scenes were good.

I was so happy to see Lianca have a scene together, it was going along great, and then I saw someone wandering around in the background and I thought to myself "It can't be, they didn't, damn it they did! They interrupted a lovely Lianca scene with Naggie. Assholes."

Bwah! Rock on, missystan, that was brilliant!

OK, I tape my soaps, and watch them at night, and usually post a day late anyway, and then this afternoon, the forums were down, so bear with me.

Yesterday's episode? Yes, Bianca's courtroom speech was a total sequel to her graveyard speech. I rolled my eyes then, and I rolled my eyes yesterday. I still love her.

Erica had one line (I think), and it was the most powerful line of the ep, IMO, just because of her expressions (or lack thereof). Her "I testified before that I killed Michael, and I will do it again"; wow. I think that is the best line reading I have ever heard from Susan. I know if I was the prosecution, I wouldn't want to call her bluff. As much as I'm dreading her inevitable breakdown, she is absolutely riveting right now. It's so wonderful that the writers (and possibly Susan) have figured out that she doesn't have to be at "11" all. the. time.

And as for Maria kicking Brooke out of the hospital? Thank God, I finally have a legitimate reason for completely hating Maria now. I won't have to FF all of her scenes, because I don't mind watching her, when I can gleefully plot her death. Yes, I'm a bit disturbed.

Today's show? Good, GOD, all I kept saying is please, Kendall, just stay in the apartment and cry, and please Greenlee, just pass out and keep your mouth shut. Because that was the only way to get Ryan our of town and the hell off of my screen! And, of course, my prayers went unanswered, damn it.

I'm a bit bummed that my prison soap didn't pan out, but as much as I hate McTrash, I'm loving AMC SO much more than my other soap, ATWT, these days. I care about so many of these characters, and everyone is acting their ass off, that I'm willing to overlook (or, well, FF), the plots and characters I don't care about.

The best part of today's episode? Even though I think it's a bit dumb that Jack didn't completely call out Erica over her drinking, when she finally went to bed, and he started to ask "Don't you think..." the look she gave him?? Damn. Props to Susan on that one. I'd be afraid to say a thing to her.

What excites me these days about this show, is that I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

As for Kinks? One reason to root for this couple is that the writers (or, at least our friend, pervy writer) are totally on our side. They give us so much more scenes, and dialogue, and payoff than they do the "real" couples on soaps today. And, as others have said, this couple isn't even ruined by them hooking up with others. It's the perfect couple for all soaps, for all time. It's just a beautiful thing *wiping my eyes*.

Well, watching Erica fuck with Kendall's mind today was both fascinating and horrifying. Susan just did a killer job today. All those knife-edged lines, but delivered in a way so that Kendall couldn't quite tell Erica was being bitchy. When Erica told Kendall that she'd been "absolutely saintly"--totally sarcastic, but not said that way. I felt so sorry for Kendall because she could see something was off, but couldn't quite put her finger on it because hey, Erica was saying all these outwardly nice things. Kendall really has little experience with Erica in some ways. Usually Erica's either happy with her or disowning her--she doesn't have much experience with Erica being pissed at her, but largely pretending not to be. In short, Kendall needs to not talk to Erica alone and unsupervised right now, because she so is not prepared for this kind of mindfucking. And when I say "not alone and unsupervised", I mean without her much more experienced sister in tow, because Jack was making it all about himself today. Yes, Erica's whole rant about Ryan WAS directed at Jack, but it was equally, if not more so, directed at Kendall too, and Jack should have called her on it. Erica ripped Kendall apart under the guise of motherly concern, and Kendall didn't even understand that that's what Erica was doing. Yowza. Kendall, you were better off when Erica was refusing to even acknowledge you.


It's totally a "fuck you" to Bianca as well. The whole reason Bianca went to work at Enchantment was to help out her mother. She seemed to have developed a genuine interest of her own in the company as time went on, but that isn't why she started. And, of course, she returned Enchantment to Erica. If Erica doesn't want it anymore, Bianca and Kendall really should each be getting half the company, but Erica's disowning Bianca. As for Kendall, I agree that Erica's motives for giving her Enchantment have changed. I think when she first did the paperwork signing Enchantment over to Kendall, she was pleased with Kendall on some level--that whole scene where she told Kendall she admired Kendall for having grown and changed, and protecting Bianca, and so on.

But now? I think finding out that Kendall was protecting Bianca for Michael's death pushed Erica over the edge, interestingly enough. She thought that Kendall was protecting her, that Bianca was protecting her. And it turned out that Kendall had been protecting Bianca, and protecting Erica really only entered the equation when Erica went and confessed on the stand. Then there was that whole scene in the briefing room in which Kinks focused totally and completely on each other and basically forgot Erica was in the room. Erica's never liked it when anyone gets too close to Bianca and it was kind of a miracle that she was even tolerant of it in the first place, when she found out about the baby scam. But now? Forget it. She's totally pissed that Kendall's closer to Bianca than she is, and I'm sure there's an element of being upset because she herself always used to be the center of Kendall's universe and now Kendall's proved in a huge way that she isn't anymore.

As for Bianca, Erica was certainly hella mad at her before, but Binks really did herself in when she told the town she was carrying Michael's baby. (It's really a replay of when Bianca publicly came out when Erica was begging her not to say that she was gay.) That's not acceptable to Erica; it made everything worse as far as she was concerned. And notice how she jumped at the whole "is there a medical problem?" angle, again. (Because, of course, the best possible thing for Bianca would be to lose a baby she wants when she is now eight months pregnant. I mean, I'm sure a miscarriage is awful at any stage of a pregnancy, but at eight months? Brutal.) Bianca is only going to be welcomed back into the fold if she loses the baby or gives it up.

Kendall/Erica is interesting because of course Kendall still obviously wants her mother's love and acceptance, but at the same time...she did try to call Erica on it when she realized Erica was turning her back on Bianca. Kendall has limits now where Erica's concerned. She realizes her mother has a right to be upset, of course, and so far Erica's pretending that nothing's really wrong, so Kendall's letting things slide a little...but if Erica gets blatant where Bianca and the baby is concerned, Kendall will not put up with it. (I think the reason Erica got so excessively nasty with the Ryan mindfucking is because Kendall had just pissed her off more by daring to bring up Bianca and the baby and questioning her mother's behavior towards them.)

Wasn't it? Damn! You're totally right about Kendall. You could tell that she knew something wasn't right but she just can't help but respond to her mother being 'nice' to her. It's sad really. I agree that Kendall will rip into Erica with a vengeance if Erica really disses Binks or the Kinks lovechild.



(sigh) Yeah, I thought so. It had to be since it's basically understood that Enchantment would be Bianca's one day. I'm wondering if Erica is even acknowledging to herself how she feels about Bianca right now. After all, so much of how Erica sees herself is wrapped up in Bianca. Being the mother to the 'perfect' daughter and all. The shine is totally off Bianca now and I don't know how Erica is justifying that to herself. To PV at large, Bianca's still as shiny as ever and it's Erica whose opinion Binks has changed. She'll get no back-up from her support system in her ostracizing of Bianca. Even if people may not totally agree with Bianca's decision to keep the baby (people are very squicked out by the rape baby thing in general), they won't agree with Erica turning her back on Binky. It'll be interesting to see how Erica justifies her actions and still keeps her self-image intact. It's all a big ol' mess but it's damn fascinating. Can't wait to see it unfold. All of it, Jack/Erica, Kinks/Erica.

Ryan is sunshine. Ryan is air. Ryan is everything good and precious and wonderful in this world. He is a saint, a martyr, and oh so sexy. You must believe this. You WILL believe this. All of Pine Valley will now be glued to their respective knees before Ryan, to pay hourly respect to this mortal-become-god. As you should. He is your savior. He is the savior of ALL!

My television intones these words at the start of every scene involving Ryan. This verifies to me that Ryan (Or, more likely, Cam) is, in fact, the devil.

Kendall... really. Let the man go. Just. Let. Him. GO.

Plus, while people may be very squicked out by the concept of a rape baby, there's a big difference between an abstract concept and a real, live, squirming little tyke. When Bianca is carting around an adorable little creature who's waving its hands around, yawning, and snuggling against Auntie Kendall, even the most squeamish people in Pine Valley (and the audience) are going to go "Aw!" And Erica will look like a huge bitch for rejecting her grandkid. So things are only going to get worse for Erica if she's heading down the route we think she is. Excellent.

Yeah, I could totally see that as having been the time they first kissed. That episode ended with Kendall all snuggled up against Bianca as the screen faded to black. Perfect opportunity. Hee. First time, though, I kinda like the idea it happened after the reunion at David's cabin. They'd had that cute boathouse bonding thing, and the baby moving for the first time, and then Bianca all apologetic at the cabin and the two of them obviously wanting a room. Hee. It's always good to get the alternate-soap events laid out. ;-) If Kinks can even be considered alternate-soap at all, that is.


I liked all of that too. Okay, Lena worships Bianca more than ever, but it's not like we were expecting that aspect to change. But I like that her view of Bianca has changed slightly--she used to think Bianca was a "delicate flower" too, and that led to trouble before during FEM, so it's a good thing she's dropped it.


Hee, and word.


And Erica's very aware of that, I think. She's generally been very careful all throughout these months to claim that of course a baby is innocent, she could never hate a baby, it's all just concern over how Bianca could handle a pregnancy under these circumstances. And now, when it's plain that her deepest problem is with the fact Bianca's keeping her child, she hides entirely behind the more palatable complaint about the lies that were told. That's why she can't, or won't, talk about her real feelings; she knows they'll cast her in a really unflattering light. She had no problem ranting at length when she thought Kendall was pregnant, because she had all the excuses of Kendall being self-serving about her pregnancy and so on. It was also safe for her to advise an abortion at the beginning because of concerns about Bianca's anorexia, the effect the reminder of the rape might have on her, and so on. But she has no such excuses anymore with Bianca's pregnancy, given that Bianca is now eight months along and relatively healthy and happy. And so she can't talk about the pregnancy at all; she'd have to admit she's actively hoping her daughter goes through yet more pain just because Erica can't accept a baby, which goes against her self-image of herself as this wonderful mother.

The one real flaw in the writing for Erica right now is the writers insisting on her absolving Ryan for everything, just because he's got to be fluffed to the max. Gah.


Yup. As long as Erica manages to keep her trap reasonably shut about Bianca and the baby and be "nice" to Kendall, Kendall is a sitting duck psychologically while dealing with Erica one-on-one. Jack's usually much better at catching Erica's nastiness, but he was so focused on the issue of his own relationship with Erica. And Bianca would have caught Erica's mindfucking of Kendall immediately, but she was elsewhere. Sigh. Kendall, do not talk to Erica without Bianca present. It was particularly vicious of Erica to tell Kendall she'd end up with no one, especially since she knew it was a lie. She knows damn well that Kendall would always at least have Bianca, and she absolutely hates that. Really, neither of the Kane sisters should talk to Erica alone, as long as Erica's being smart enough to not actively express hostility about either one, or the baby, to the other.

A big fat WORD, Mystico. Erica has become quite chilling and fascinating to watch. Undertones and layers to what she is saying and doing. Lucci and subtlety. Who'd a thunk it?

Wordy Wordy WORD to all the Lucci praise...Best work she's done in...well, maybe, ever. I also may want to strangle Erica, but she's been pretty fascinating lately....The scenes with Kendall yesterday were just creepy...When Erica called Kendall "sweetheart"....I imagine someone else other than McTrash wrote those scenes because they were really damn good! Of course, Luscious was her usual excellent self conveying Kendall's mixture of confusion and needing to be loved.

I think one reason the Erica stuff is working so well is the fact that sometimes you just can't beat a veteran who's been playing a role for so long that they really understand their character's motives, even if we don't! Lucci has always been the best (other than Agnes Nixon) and understanding Erica.

As for other AMC stuff---I like NuAnita too, even if she is the lovechild of Rebecca Buding and Kristen Davis from Sex and the City! The boyfriend did remark last night that she 'moves her head around too much'! I SO want Brooke to rip into Maria...or even better just say "Fuck this!" and get her own life!

True. Anita does seem to shake her head back-and-forth whenever she talks, though it will probably never approach Walt Willey's head-bobbing levels.

Can someone please give a quick synopsis of what's been going on in Greenlee's mine shaft scenes (and her interactions with The First [insert character]) over the past two weeks? I've been FFing through all of them. Or maybe I should go read kariyaki's recaps.

Well, a lot of the daily writers from FEM are still around, and Agnes Nixon is still on the top of the writing staff credits. With the lone exception of that bizarre ep last week where all the writers seemed to have gone on vacation and left the script up to someone pulled in off the street, the Kane Women dynamics are being written absolutely dead-on and beautifully complex, just like in the FEM days.

Forgot to mention: Ryan gives Kendall his unfurnished place. Bianca declares that she never wants to see Mikey's condo, which is unfortunately situated across from Kendall's, again. 2+2 equals...Eeeeeee! Kendall's moving! Go on, Bianca, move in with her!


Let's see...First Evil Kendall got Greenlee to realize that it's her own damn fault that no one likes her. First Evil Ryan has just been endlessly telling Greenlee that she wants him. First Evil Mary popped up so that Greenlee could yell at her for her bad advice that ended up making Greens the town pariah. First Evil Jack was there so Greenlee could bask in fatherly love. First Evil Mia/Simone--the point there was mostly that Greenlee's buried herself in business to the exclusion of her personal life. First Evil Greenlee arrived to basically wrap up all those points in a nutshell for Greenlee so that she could have the same epiphany she's been having every day in the mineshaft--that she needs to change a little, let down some walls, stop being a bitch 24/7.

You left out that First Evil Kendall was smokingly hot when she lets Greenlee's psyche dress her for the day. Also the First Evil Mia/Smoan hybrid jogged Greenlee's memory that her makeup is edible.


Mix Vicky Pratt from Mutant X in that DNA cocktail as well, and we've got what Anita looks like.

Hee, true. Lena's so cool. Every time Bianca does something that Lena can't see herself doing, Lena builds that pedestal higher. While that's bound to be an issue Bianca would like to correct (since Bianca's only stated a billion times that she doesn't see herself that way), watching Lena get evermore besotted is just too cute. Mmm, schmoopy Lena.



That's just despicable. Damn you to hell, Erica, you fascinating, neurotic psycho! Oops, had to get that out. Anyway, if Erica doesn't hightail it to Europe, she's going to have to at least pretend to be taking steps toward accepting Kendall Jr. She'll have to or people are going to be calling her on her behavior left and right. People are being cautious of Erica's issues right now, but that delicacy won't last too much longer. Erica will have Jack, Reggie, Kendall, Myrtle, and maybe even Opal calling her on her shit before long if this Bianca shutout continues. Hee! That'll drive Erica nuts. Couldn't happen to a nicer person.



I second that Eeeeeeeeeee. Go on, do it Binky! You know you want to. Lena will be happier too. Kendall doesn't mind sharing her toys, unlike some other roomies.

Thanks for the mine shaft synopsis, Black Knight and kariyaki. I just wanted to have some context for what happens once Greenlee finally makes it out of there. Unless she starts saying "from beneath you ... it devours," in which case all bets are off.
