Right on. I also thought he really blew it when he went into defending Greens. He just keeps doing that and I don't see why he doesn't realize that from Kendall's POV, there really is no sympathizing with Greenlee. No friggin' way can, or should, Kendall be trying to see things Greenlee's way seeing as how Greens pretty much opened the cell doors for Kendall herself. I just don't see why Ryan is being so stupid.



Yes!!! I was hesitant to bring it up because I thought I was misreading things. It was very noticeable, I thought. I really hope it was just a Bianca-ism. Maybe Binks was just feeling raw and didn't like the physical aspect at the time. It would break my heart to think that Vincent was making Eden uncomfortable for some reason. If he's secretly Mr. Grabby Hands, I don't wanna know about it. Lalalalalalala, Vincent is a perfect gentleman, lalalalalalala. Maybe it was just that Vincent was lingering too much and it was throwing Eden off? It's gotta be hard spouting dialog when your partner is ca-noodling your face to the extreme. Ok, the belly thing was veering toward squiky but lalalalalalala...



Dammit, word! Besides the way they handled the Bianca/Greens scene, the one bad edit that pissed me off the most was when Eden had that great scared reaction shot when David was coming back to the couch with her coat. It was a good one, dammit, and we only got a nano second of it. TPTB? Let the actors do their thing, it's not the writing selling this crap, k?

Schizophrenically jumping back to the Ginks scenes, it was interesting hearing Greenlee say she wanted them to be sisters. I honestly had never seen a clue of that. It was cool seeing that Greens actually has a whole different thing going on in her head than what she shows the world. I had thought that she had no intention of integrating herself in the family other than bonding to a point with Jackson (while reluctantly putting up with Binky and Reggie by association). It's kinda sweet knowing that on some level she really did see all of them becoming a family. Who knew?

A very good point, and I know where you're coming from. Certainly in the past six months Kendall has been the good and self-sacrificing one, and Greenlee has been the selfish, raging and bratty (if also clueless and shortsighted) one. And even before that, Greenlee rarely missed an opportunity to make a snide or smartass remark, even to friends. (Kendall does, too, but with her it's more in the context of fighting, not a personality trait.) But I feel that Greenlee is still trying to learn from Leo, and was trying to grow towards being a better friend and better relative to people she had just found. Before that, and before Leo, she was out of control and pretty unredeemable. Leo is like her secular saint, in a way. Greenlee's vulnerability is harder to find than Kendall's, who wears it more on her sleeve---one of the reasons I still loved Kendall when she was "bad" and "wrong"!---and Greenlee has plenty more growing up to do. But she's coming around, and it took a self-created mess like this to make her think about changing her self-centered overreaction to life. Oh, was I wrong or what about Bianca being more understanding?LOL But I don't blame Binks, and Greenlee didn't fight her this time. She showed more class about the baby than Erica. (I don't count Erica out. She's having a hard time accepting the baby, but she's really trying to protect Kendall and Binks, she thinks she may have been the killer.) Greenlee did the right thing, finally, and since all Greenlee can possibly do is apologize to everyone and try to help Ryan and Kendall work it out, though nobody wants her around, it's not too little or too late as far as I'm concerned. It would be if she had coldly wanted Kendall to die and was unremorseful even now, but that's not the case.

Ryan, manhandling Ryan. He's right, but I don't much like him, anyway. Good of him to accept Greenlee's apology, but I still don't like him, even though Kendall is factually wrong about him, Greenlee, Bianca, and everything. Kendall is a neurotic, paranoid, lovable screwup, but if that saves her from having to marry Ryan---good! Oh Kendall---Aidan's free again! I also caught the "I want Bianca! I want Bianca to be happy!" Very cute.

I just read BK's recent post, and girl, you put it all much better than I have!

Paranoid thoughts here. I've seen the two nauseating Maggie/Binks ads they've been pushing on Soapnet. They're clearly trying to push them as the new supercouple. Can this mean they're trying to push Lena out of the picture by making her the killer? If Bianca finds out it's Lena, she may have to make the terrible Sophie's choice of lover or sister(lover), and have to turn in Lena to save Kendall! This would suck. I really believe Lena has had an incredibly raw deal. She fell in love with Binks, turned on the very dangerous and psychotic Michael, and then may have actually killed him to protect Binks from his violence again. Then Bianca became alienated from her and rejected her. Lena tried to kill herself and never told Bianca. And now she's just lucky enough to have one more kiss and occasional visists, and to be called a friend. I know Bianca has a lot on her plate, but this is such a crazy way to treat Lena. The woman would do anything for Bianca, whether or not she's guilty of the murder. Maggie, meanwhile, after months of brushing Binks off, has decided she wants her, except when she doesn't, because she's too personally disturbed by her own lesbianism and goes off to boink and use Jamie. Bianca deserves someone who knows herself and her feelings---Lena.

Oh good, I have never seen the Tad/Liza/Marian episodes before. That may be worth taping. Especially since the current Tad storyline is so awful. Maybe I wouldn't mind it as much if we had a triangle with Simone and Liza, but Krystal needs to go away.

Ooh, yeah I've never seen the Marion/Liza eps either, so that should be good. I'm a little disappointed there's no Dixie stuff in there, but I guess if they're trying to fluff up the new Liza/Simone/Krystal storyline, they have to show episodes with those characters.

Yup. I mean, Bianca told Greenlee the same thing--"I don't feel sorry for you." Neither of the Sisters Kane are going to sympathize with Greenlee, no matter how bad she feels. It really doesn't matter how Greenlee feels--though I give her points for feeling truly, sincerely bad about it all--because the damage is done and everyone else is a lot more fucked than she is. Kendall and Bianca are not saints and it'd be ridiculous for them to have the energy to feel sorry for Greenlee when Kendall's facing death row. To Greenlee's credit, she told Bianca she wasn't looking for sympathy or forgiveness--I'm not sure that was true, but it was mature of her to drop the idea when she saw it wasn't going to happen and continue being nice, instead of turning nasty as she did with Kendall on Monday.


Interestingly enough, Vincent once said on a talk show years and years ago that he finds it very difficult to get aroused. It was one of those Soap Hunk theme episodes and someone in the audience had asked all the men if they got excited during sex scenes. A guy from Santa Barbara enthusiastically declared he did (I'm sure his leading ladies hated him, and I remember he was extremely open about wanting to be paired with one woman because he wanted to do a sex scene with her--it was all pretty disgusting), and that's when Vincent claimed the latter.


Yup, I noticed that one too. It was a killer reaction shot, and all that the editor was cutting to was more footage of David getting Bianca's coat, hardly necessary. Whoever edited yesterday's ep needs to be fired.


The other thing I noticed about that is that for some reason, she never includes Kendall. If Jack married Erica, she and Kendall would be stepsisters too, as well as cousins by marriage. Subconsciously, she's still cutting Kendall out of the family tree. I do think she feels that with Bianca, Reggie and Kendall all in the family, there's no room for herself. So subconsciously, she tried to cut out the vulnerable black sheep of the herd, Kendall.


The thing is, Lena seems fine--perfectly happy, really. If Lena had problems of her own and Bianca was ignoring them in favor of everything else, then I'd have a problem with it. Now when Bianca found out Lena was in the hospital, she went into Lena's room and talked to her and made sure she was okay. When Lena ended up in jail, Bianca got a promise from Kendall that she would get Lena a defense dream team, went to see Lena in jail, refused to go away and forget about Lena and "be happy" like Lena was urging her to do, and went to pick Lena up from jail as soon as she heard that Lena had been released. (Of course, I remember Olga's board trashing Bianca that day because she was interrupted as she was running out the door and took five minutes to give her brother an alibi for murder. How evil of Bianca.) She made sure to tell Lena she didn't blame her for Voldemort, and she's kept all the specifically-hurtful-to-Lena details of Voldemort secret.

Right now, Lena just really doesn't have any issues going on. Yes, she's not officially together with Bianca, but she can see that that's mostly just a formality, an issue of time really. She knows all she has to do is wait, and she doesn't seem impatient or unhappy about it. She was unhappy before because she was never getting to see Bianca, but now she's got drop-in privileges, has been included in all three of the last major holidays, and sees Bianca a lot. She seems fine with how their relationship is, very confident actually. (They'd gotten to the point, after all, where Bianca was just about ready to ask Lena to go away with her for good. Obviously things were going well. Mostly offscreen, which is the real problem here.) I remember when she threatened Naggie with taking Bianca away so that Naggie wouldn't see her as much, or ever again. In short, Gamer!Lena, TM some brilliant poster I've forgotten. I just don't see the poor put-upon Lena that some on Olga's board do; I see a reformed corporate shark who's in pretty good shape and knows she's getting what she wants.

After today's episode I'm convinced: We're getting Kaidan! Oh, yes we are!

I'm firmly believe the contrast between Ryan's ultimatums and Aidan's unconditional support was intentional on the part of TPTB. Look children, one of these relationships is warped and unhealthy and the other one is based on faith and trust. Do the math.

Of course I reserve the right to take this all back if Ol' GrabbyHands is seriously injured during tomorrow's homage to Easy Rider.

Oh, the poor editors on AMC. Getting blamed for all this. Because the soaps crank out way more episodes than any regular show, the way they do it is: film with several cameras, the director tells them which camera to cut to, all the while they're recording a master as they go. This way, editors have minimal work to do. All they have to do is string the different scenes together. So the crappy cutting in that Bianca/David scene was the director's fault.

Yeah, I firmly believe we're getting Kaidan too. And Lianca. Both Aidan and Lena are being written as supportive and loving, Ryan and Naggie as selfish jerks. Hmm, maybe the latter two can hook up and get off my screen.

Feh, I'm not getting my hopes up about Kaidan. I did that before and got kneed in the crotch for it. Let's just say it's a good thing I don't have balls.

I'm gonna spare everyone my usual Erica rant and just simply say she's evil and needs to die. Moving along...

It woulda been nicer if we'd have gotten to see them gaping at Erica as she raved like the lunatic that she is. I would've liked to see incredulous looks at the nut job wishing for dead babies.

I find Greenlee's Cave of Self-Absorption vaguely amusing in a soapy way. Ok, it's really imagining her having to eat her fugly coat that I find amusing.

Personally, I think a lot of that perception comes from projection of the Lena fan's misery at her lack of screen time and too much fan fiction. I could be wrong, though.

I stand corrected. It's always good to know where to direct the hate. Down with the director, then! It wasn't just the Bianca/David scene, it was also very noticeable in the Bianca/Greenlee scenes. I saw some problems with the Kendall/Ryan stuff too, though that's a bit more par for the course because they often talk so fast. I largely FF'd through everything else--didn't have time to watch the whole ep last night. (It's no wonder poor Alicia has 50 pages of dialogue a day to memorize--Kendall's such a motor mouth. Kendall is the Lorelai Gilmore of AMC.)

Oh great, I was right about Boobe and JR being the ones to help Bianca out? Sigh. It's not that I have a problem with Boobe/Bianca scenes per se, since Boobe is more appealing in them, it's just that it's one more indicator that we've got a baby switch coming up. Feh.

I hate to encourage anyone to go to the well once too often, but SL really needs to go all diva on McTrash's ass and get her fired again. Erica hasn't been this unsympathetic in a long time. I can't even get into how disgusting I found the whole Erica portion of today's story.

So, does everyone on the show bring their A-game when they get scenes with Eden? Damn but AH almost made me like Boobe once again. JR, though? Obnoxious asshole, at best. Really, either you want to be with her or you don't. This whole sadistic thing he's got going where he relishes treating her like a two bit tramp? Not attractive. Yeah, she was/is basically that, but you're married to her, dude, so buck up and either divorce her or stay married. But if you choose staying married, get the hell over it, already, K?

Once again, Kaidan has more chemistry in Kendall answering the door to him than Kryan has in a month's worth of sex scenes. I want to say I see some Kaidan hope, but McTrash loves to kick us in the teeth (not a trait I'd look for in a HW if I was doing the hiring, but anyway), so who knows.

Nooooooooooooooooo! Ok, denial aside, there were a few anvils flying in that direction today. Most notably, Krystal reeeeeeally perked up when she noticed that Boobe is on speaking terms with Erica. I took that as a sign of Krystal worming her way into Erica orbit down the road. TPTB stuck that ho in the scene for a reason, just having JR and Babe would've been enough. Plus, JR and Babe are friends of Bianca's where Krystal is outside of the situation and can coldly calculate some future scheme (she heard Erica's take on the baby today) to help her 'baby doll' using Bianca, if it comes to that. Hee, paranoid ravings anyone?

I still don't understand what a baby switch would accomplish. Are y'all going on the premise that one of the babies will be dead and the live baby will be switched? Or do y'all think it will be a swap of babies? I can see I guess where the first one might work. I am confused. Damn you McTrash ... some how this is all your fault.

I think Lena has plenty of issues, actually, but we don't get to see them and Lena would rather keep Greenlee company in the mineshaft than let Bianca know she has them. She tried it once when she mentioned she, too, could not sleep at night, but Bianca was too focused on the Zapruder to give a damn.

Aidan is delicious and I love Kaidan, but word of the previous kicking of the crotch, so I won't pin any hopes on them, either.

I had wondered a little about Kelly possibly being involved in the SL, since Paul is her brother, but since as biakbiak says, she's not far enough along--even with her phony original claim of pregnancy she still wouldn't be far enough along--I don't think that's going to happen. I hope not, as a crossover involving three pregnancies would give me a complete headache.


Yes, that's the idea. I think Boobe pretty much rang the death knell for her own baby today with her constant repetitions of "a baby is the best thing ever!" Her baby is toast. So if Boobe's baby dies and Bianca's lives, the motivation for a baby switch from Erica's POV would be that "it's a mercy for Bianca" (shut UP, Erica), while from Krystal's POV it would be that Boobe gets to keep her marriage to JR. It's an open question whether Boobe would be aware and/or go along with it. She's nice to Bianca, but if she's faced with losing her marriage...actually, I could see it going that way, so that the truth ultimately comes out when Boobe just can't handle the guilt of the deception anymore (as opposed to the tired old staple of the baby having a problem that requires the biological parent's blood/bone marrow/whatever). Thanks to Boobe's plan of rigging the paternity test now, there won't be any paternity test done after birth that would expose the switch. So it has to be either the "baby has a problem" or someone confessing to bring the switch to light.

Poor David--in trying to reduce Bianca's stress, he inadvertently did the opposite. It would've been better for Bianca never to have known her mother was there at all. I guess everyone in town (including the writers) has forgotten it's Bianca's birthday still, because otherwise Jack would've been mentioning that little tidbit of info when he was smacking Erica down for refusing to see Bianca. Erica? Shut UP. Just admit already that you want Bianca to lose the baby because it'd be a blessing for you, seeing as how Bianca has made it perfectly clear she wants the baby. Sigh. I guess it's still an open question who's going to end up in Oak Haven first--Erica, Bianca, or me.

I loved Greenlee yelling for David to drop what he was doing and visit Leo. Hee! I hope this doesn't drag on too long, though. I also hope Ryan broke his damn neck.

I was feeling like the Kryan breakup scenes were dragging on forever. Then I realized that really, this has been going on since last Thursday, so no wonder I felt like it was the Longest Breakup Ever. After all that misery, this breakup had better stick, dammit. Kendall belongs with Aidan. (But, no more calling him her "champion." Kendall, lay off the Angel episodes.)

First, I doubt that, with Naggie there, Lena was actually trying to open up a discussion of her issues. And second, Bianca had already made clear that this was a dream about Kendall that she was trying to figure out in order to help Kendall out, so it's a good thing for my opinion of Lena that I actually don't think she was trying to divert the conversation to make it All About Herself, seeing as how Kendall's murder trial trumps Lena's residual guilt over whateva. Olga's delivery came across as a world-weary "I fucked too many people in my past and I feel bad about it", not anything really deep-seated. She is hiding the suicide attempt from Bianca, certainly, Bianca's made clear that she doesn't blame Lena for anything and that she would like a future with Lena, and on the whole Lena looks like one of the precious few reasonably-happy PV citizens to me, compared to the crap everyone else is going through. She knows she's sitting pretty and that she's about to get what she wants. Good for her. Like Mystic0 said, the day I accept the interpretation of Lena common on Olga's board is the day I turn in my Lianca card. Blech.

Are Bianca and Boobe, both seven months along? Because I thought Boobe got pregnant a couple of months after Bianca.

ETA: I posted this before that Erica is going to look for some way to convince Bianca her baby is dead. Erica's little pleading to God, just reinforced that theory. She wants this baby dead. Whether she or not she and Krystal try a baby switch, I have no doubt Erica will find a way to get rid of Bianca's baby.

I have a feeling that Erica is going to have to deliver the baby and will tell Bianca that it passed away, giving the infant to some mountain family.

I knew you were going to say that! Hee. Ok, so - yes, of course Lena was not trying to make the convo about her and of course that was the right thing to do. Lena as a well-adjusted resident of Pie Balley? I doubt it, but we'll never know. I wonder just what those sessions with the therapist are uncovering and I am willing to bet that, whatever it is, it goes far, far beyond the suicide stuff.

As far as the interpretation of Lena on the boards - ITA with you there, too. I don't go quite as far as you and some others here with regards to how Lena "knows she's sitting pretty and that she's about to get what she wants" because I think Lena is far more uncertain about things than she seems, but that's probably closer to the truth than not.

ETA: could it be? Ryan and Greenlee gone for good? Ah, to sleep, perhance to dream.

My east coast friend is still insisting on her idea of Erica driving after having had a few drinks and smashing into Boobe's car, sending both her and Bianca into early labor (Bianca could be in either car).

KerleyQ is right, Susan needs to get McTrash fired, and pronto. Denial is one thing...we know Erica is the Queen of Denial...but if she were to tell her daughter her baby is dead "for her own good" and then manage to sit through weeks of Bianca grieving still determinedly insisting that it's "all for her own good"--well, that level of denial is beyond unacceptable. AMC would have to make Erica mentally ill (as in, diagnosed and forced to spend some time in Oak Haven) to wash that away.

ETA: Hee, CKD. But Greenlee can stay. I really do think she's turning around. (That incurable optimism, y'know...) I just want Ryan gone.

I don't think Boobe is as far along as Bianca but at this point, I don't remember just how far apart they are which I'm sure is what the writers are counting on.

I scanned through your September recaps, kariyaki, and saw no mention of Boobe, so she must've turned up in early October. But if JR is the father, then AMC could always retcon that the baby was actually conceived before Boobe hit Pine Valley, I guess, or at least Boobe could claim that to JR or something. Or Krystal keeps the baby in hiding for a month or so first and then Boobe pretends to give birth. There's always some stupid workaround.

My east coast friend has now reminded me that, soaps taking the liberties with the law that they do, AMC could establish the premise that whoever has custody of the Cambias baby gets custody of the Cambias fortune, which includes Chandler Enterprises. And so when the truth about the baby switch comes out, JR/Adam could decide to sue to keep custody (I know they would have no legal grounds normally, but it's a soap). Just to keep Bianca miserable. Then you get a nasty courtroom battle in which Bianca's homosexuality, choice of girlfriends, anorexia, drunk driving, unstable family--plus if she did kill Michael, that too--all are brought up to make her look unfit. I think my friend likes depressing me.

So, we are definitely getting a baby switch, aren't we? You'd think being a kid conceived by rape and born to a gay (and possibly incestuous!) parent would have enough drama going for it without a baby switch. I'm soooooooo buying Bling's autobiography some day. It's gonna be a page turner, I can feel it!

One of the things I will always eternally wonder is what the hell happened to LFB after Twin Peaks.

This story feels like a retread of the old Zach Grayson story of long ago.

It had a raped woman, a vengful mother, and a memory enhanced flashback. How many ways can this storyline go?

In that version it was Marian who killed Zach as revenge for what he did to Liza. Donna had a repressed memory of a purse at the scene of the crime with a "W" on it. It was actually an "M" for Marian.

Cannot wait. Oh, wait: yes, yes I can.

Gah! I can see it all playing out in my head right now. All because stupid Erica just has to have her way. Damn it! Can't Bianca be happy for five minutes?

However if they do go the baby switch route and Bianca finds out that Erica engineered it, I don't know how that relationship would ever recover. Then if Kendall were to find out, all hell would break loose. Erica's never been a saint but could her character recover from telling her daughter her baby is dead and then giving it to someone else? I know Todd on OLTL did it, but Todd is a different kind of character.

This is from a few pages back but it's regarding the confirmation that the Tad the Cad marathon on SoapNet is going to yield the replay of the Fan February episode from last year. Those of you who have SoapNet and have not seen it, I strongly urge you to watch it, tape it, whatever. Just make sure you all see it. It is truly a work of art, that episode. I've seen it countless times and even have it on tape somewhere and I am STILL going to be viewing it again.

All this talk of baby swapping is scaring the hell out of me. I have the feeling I'm going to have to shove needles in my eyes. I just don't think I could take Kendall's reaction to losing the baby and I know I couldn't take Bianca's reaction.

'Tis all right. I've looked for Kinks websites and I've spent a great deal of time wishing someone would have the nerve to write a Kinks fan fic. And kariyaki and I came up with probably the sickest idea of all for a fan fic--the bisexual promiscuous Sisters Kane cutting a swath through the town and then comparing notes during one of their own little sponge baths. Heh. It's the sort of thing one can't admit to anyone IRL, but in our happy little Pervy thread, it's okay.

From someone who watches the wildfeed and sees eps a day in advance: Both Lena and Naggie visit Bianca in the hospital tomorrow. (If this is what brings on Naggie's realization of luuuuurve, I'll gag.) No mention of Kendall, but she damn well better check in on her girlfriend and lovechild before going off with Erica for their big talk.

Also, the spoilers say that Michael's murderer will be revealed (really! really!) next Friday the 20th. I agree it's Bianca, but I actually think in some odd ways it's the best solution as far as Bianca's concerned. It's not like she would've been happy or unstressed at seeing one of her loved ones go up the river for killing Michael, and I don't think she murdered the Asscicle per se anyway, I think she killed him to save her sister. So there's no guilt involved for killing him--heck, deep down I wouldn't be surprised if there's a little visceral satisfaction that she'll likely never admit that after all the blaming herself she did over the rape, she iced the bastard before he could hurt her sister. So as solutions go, it's the "happiest" one for her--certainly better than if she had to watch poor old Myrtle shipped off to prison for killing Michael for her sake, say.

Hmmm. Maybe, being McTrash and knowing how she likes to torture Bianca, it will be Kendall after all and she'll be sent to jail for months before the governor finally pardons her...

Word, so very word. I'd have to be drunker than I've ever been to watch that. Oh, please, no.

Either way, I've given my theory lots of thought. Fan fiction seems the likeliest culprit just because in fan fic, Lena has the Worst! Life! Ever! No matter what anyone else has been through, it's small in comparison to the sheer amount of tragedy Lena has faced. And as such, it easily trumps little inconveniences like almost dying semi-frequently, being born out of wedlock, being kidnapped twice, almost being molested, having your mother screw over your beloved father with your beloved uncle, being a pyro, being anorexic, getting blackmailed by your best friend's GF, having everyone you care about leave/dump you/fuck with your head/die, being raped, etc, all before turning twenty. Hee! Yet another pleasant e-mail 'defending' Lena has made me extra bitter tonight. Why do people pick on me? Seriously, I do think fan fic feeds into the mind frame of Lena's victim status, but mainly I think lack of screen time and just a marginal amount of knowledge about Lena's history probably is the main culprit. I still say her fabulous amoral self is just simmering under the surface.

She also said she had two spills on casting, but it was a bit muddled. Said either
1) Eden is leaving (which fits if she's the killer and they do a temp thing where Bianca goes away and comes back as another actor-BooHiss.)
OR
2) Boyd and Mia are leaving (I don't know if it's a package deal or something, hence the muddling)
Anyhoo, with the report that MM is going, maybe it means Eden is sticking around (fingers crossed).

ITA with Kendall when she pointed out that Greens showing up at exactly that moment seemed fishy. I mean sure call her paranoid, but I was thinking the same thing. Only I blame the writers and contrived plots.
