I'm waiting for the late edition of AMC to air on SoapNet. Though I'm not sure if I want to watch Naggie and Bianca scenes. I really really really hate Naggie. I know this is going to sound really mean, but I trust I won't be chastized to hard if I say it, but I really hate LH's face. Her face bugs the shit out of me. It's one of the reasons among many others that I hate Naggie, although it's at the bottom of the list since there are many more important reasons to hate her.

I also get the same feeling when I see Mia's face, but not quite as strong. I think it has to do with their lips and teeth. They're too big for their faces or something.

Although their faces are not the reason I have the strong desire to smack the shit out of them when they open their mouths. That's got everything to do with their hideous personalities.

OK, this is my first post here; I approach the altar with all due fear and trembling.

So I was liking Maggie just fine when she was being Bianca's supportive best friend--liked her a lot, actually, esp. when she did things like tell Lena that she'd drive 'em to Vermont for the civil union. But (a) kissing the rape survivor out of the blue, and then (b) running off to bang the first guy she could find, and finally © implying that Bianca was making too much out of it and actually pressuring her...Well, bring on the Automated Bitchslap Machine, 'cuz she earned it.

I don't think Binx is longing for the girl; I think she wants just one thing in her life to be OK and uncomplicated, and Maggie's friendship has been that for her for several months. Gotta say, though, that I think it would be sorta cool for another woman to catch Lena's eye, just a li'l bit--enough to wake up da Binxster.

Antigone, I really want someone to make a play for Lena, too: I don't even care if Lena reciprocates, but I want someone, man or woman, to chase her and I want Bianca to see it.

jenmarie, I know there's a golden rule of speak no evil of actors blah blahcakes, but I can't stand EH, either: she sucks as an actor and I can do without her inane comments on everything. Buy yourself some maturity, Elizabeth.

Today's show was more bamtastic than we think and less bamtastic than bam thinks. Bianca is clearly "processing."

But the PTB are promo bamming so fucking hard they might as well have Liz and Eden do a live lickfest segment on The View! Best friends! What Bianca wants! Except they lick each other's girlbits between the cheetos course and the fudgescicle course!

Oh, one more thing. I am super offended that Naggie felt the need to lie to Bianca ... on her fucking birthday!
And I am supersick of Lena leaving after two or three lines. They are trying to make Lianca boring and Baggie compelling. They are shoving it down our throats hard and fast. I think Olga's a goner. Poor stunning tall and classic woman. It's gotta be hard to lose to a midget pug just because Frons and McTavish like to fuck fifteen year old girls.

I just wanted to say that I really liked Erica today especially when she was talking to Tad and said, "I will not let both my daughters lives be destroyed for something that I did." I like that she is trying to protect Kendall as well as Bianca.

I'm also glad her meltdown is slow going. CalmErica is so much scarier than ShriekingErica.

I loved all the Skye/Janet/Erica stuff. That is the storyline that got me hooked on this show.

I was incredibly bothered by this today. Mia is a friggin' sheep. She had no problem with what Greenlee did when she was still trying to keep her claws in Aidan. But now that he's kissed her off and the whole town has declared Greenlee a pariah, Mia is jumping on the bandwagon. It really just reinforces that the woman has NO brain of her own. Are we sure Mia's complete and absolute stupidity is supposed to be subtext?

Hee! It's a fascinating spectator sport, all right. I give the BAM team points for unfailing optimism. They're a happy bunch (points off for possibly being medicated). Lianca's get points for originally being a group I once could identify with (points off for the anti-Kinks posts. Satan is displeased!). All in all, the more I visit other places while I'm spoiler seeking, the more I prefer our comfy sled. Sure we're going to hell, but at least having fun on our way.

I'm not personally down with the Lena needs a new lust object thing, mainly because I don't think it would play out the way folks imagine it would. (I don't have the Lena lust y'all do, so for me part of Lena's charm is that she's schmoopily in love.) Besides, I like Lianca, dammit, and I still hope they'll work it out. I just don't see jealousy as the 'fix it'. Bianca's still in a very messed up place and I doubt her reaction would be so much "Fight for my woman!" as "Lena deserves more than I can give her, so I'll let her go".

Once again, here I am with my day-behind commentary on yesterday's episode.

Loved the Kenlee scenes. With a little dissection and a whole lot of fanwanking, plenty of HoYay is still to be found between them. It appears, however, that my inner Kenlee lover is also a 12-year-old, because I kept cracking up at random bits of their conversation. Final encore? Hit it bigtime? Standing O? (Well, I actually had an "O" of another variety in mind, but okay.) Hee.

I also loved Kendall's "WTF?" expression when Greenlee broke her out of her rant with an apology. And the relish with which she told Greenlee that not only was she a bitch, but that she was a stupid bitch. And man, when those girls fight, they fight dirty, taunting each other with the things they know will burn the most. Meow, baby! Unfortunately, as always, it all came back to Ryan. Can somebody please explain to me why they're fighting over him? I just. don't. get it.

Was it just me, or did I sense a bit of jealousy from Greenlee at Kendall's willingness to take on the world for Bianca? Poor Greenlee, unwittingly ensuring that nobody will ever care that much for her. I know I'm still very much in the minority, but I just can't hate Greenlee. (And as long as Rebecca continues to play the bitch so deliciously, I'm not sure that I ever want to. I hope she gets one hell of a storyline of her own once this mess is over with to make up for all of this.)

And then Greenlee, bless her heart, went ahead and brought some more tangible HoYay at the end there, when she got right up in Kendall's face and purred, "Does it make you feel warm all over?" and kept grabbing at her, and then chased her to the elevator, trying to yank her back in. She can feel free to employ Ryan's grabby hands policy at any time, so long as it's for the greater HoYay good. I'm also fully choosing to believe that their tears during the closing montage were for one another. Forget Ryan. He's an ass.

Speaking of Ryan, I too loved when Bianca tore into him for not having bothered to set Kendall straight. Man, did Binks look pissed, and her speech to Ryan about loving Kendall was laced with hilarious amounts of SisYay. I understand that she was speaking from experience, but the way she was going about it, she sounded just a bit too experienced, if you know what I'm saying (and I know you all do). All hail Pervy! (As for Pervy, I think a gift basket is in order in thanks for all the fabulous Kinks goodness he's been giving us lately. We could fill it with kinky, kinky things to keep him inspired. Who's with me?)

Bianca's whole, "When I look at Kendall, I see my baby" thing about what a great person Kendall is was sweet. Too bad all of her advice was wasted on such an ass. Can Ryan please, please go away? Please?

The David/Adam/Tad scenes were hilarious. Any chance we could look into employing David on the sled? I love him ever so much, and he brings the sexy too. Just a thought.

Gah, this has gotten way, way longer than I ever intended. Shutting up right now!

Since we're at the bottom of page 1, and since we're snarkin' on Liz, can I just say how much I hate that damned Soapnet promo? And the only reason I really hate it, other than the fact that it's on every 2.2 seconds, is that stupid outfit that Liz has on. That outfit looks like it belongs in a Japanese whorehouse.

You know, if this is what BAM is going to be, then all it's going to do is lose Liz her job pronto. Other than the 31.5 Bammers (Marge only counts as .5, cause the girl ain't all there), the hatred of Maggie by the rest of the audience continues to grow every time the character appears on screen, because quite frankly, Maggie's an asshole.

Oh, and my hatred of the character began the day Bianca told her about the rape, and the so-called "supportive best friend" didn't get the girl help. Bianca was borderline insane at the time, and I considered Maggie to be very selfish in that she didn't want to risk Bianca's wrath by telling Erica or David. Bianca needed way more help than Maggie could provide, and Maggie didn't do anything about it. I've hated the character ever since.

I beg your pardon! I happen to have a pug, and he is much cuter and has more personality and intelligence than Liz. Let's not insult dogs by comparing them to banal soap actresses! I have to admit, though, that Liz has the same bug-eyed stare that my pug has when he wants some of your sandwich, or has to go outside. I suggest that from now on that particular look should be called the "Snausages!" stare.

I was laughing my ass off reading the posts about Erica's pill addiction. Those were good times! Loved her Babuska outfit buying drugs on Front Street! I remember her saying, after her stint in rehab, that she couldn't take so much as an aspirin due to her addiction, so my guess is a substance is a substance, though alcohol wasn't her problem.

That's when my hatred of the character hit full steam and when my dislike of/exasperation with the actress hit as well. LH's flip-floppy fidgety hand in the background was so distracting that it negated any emotional impact the scene might have had. It wasn't acting by gesture, it was just is-it-my-line-yet fidgeting. And of course all made even worse by the fact that Olga's acting and expressions would have hit home on every word from Bianca. It took a few more scenes and episodes before I truly hated hated hated Maggie for not getting Bianca to counseling. That's what best friends do. Sometimes they not only save you from the world, but yourself as well. Damn AMC!

ITA, kariyaki, Mia is a sheep. And why didn't she take more responsibility for letting Fred out, anyway, when all these people were blaming Greenlee alone? And has Mia even talked to Kendall, or Bianca? Don't think so. She just bitches at Greenlee and pretends she had no part in the actions against Kendall. Even though Greenlee's attempt with Kendall ended in the fight I expected, because they were completely talking at cross-purposes, Greenlee is devastated by what she did, by the fact that what she did will hurt Bianca and even Kendall, even though she's still angry at Kendall. Look, I think Greenlee can be angry at Kendall *and* devastated about her actions, because she was shocked at Kendall's sudden false assumptions about her and Ryan, and by the attack that stemmed from it. She's going to give as good as she gets when confronted that way. Greenlee still thinks there's a chance with Ryan and that Kendall is playing him, which is foolish on the one hand---look at how freaked out Kendall is by the breakup, and how much Ryan seems to love Kendall, Greenlee's blind for not seeing that---but understandable on the other hand, because Kendall is Erica's daughter, finally, and has been playing and manipulating three men for months. At the cabin, Kendall ran right to Aidan. I do believe she has finally decided she really loves Ryan, though, which makes it all the more annoying and sad that he can't understand her, and needs advice on how to love Kendall from her sister.

The only friend Greenlee really has is David, he understands her much better than Jack or Ryan. I loved their scene yesterday. He's the *only* one who didn't see the need to lay into her again, he just said he wished she hadn't done it, but he understood why she felt that way. He knows the meaning of unconditional love. I also think he knows from pariah status. I hope they hook these two up; he's not the nasty, condescending twit to her that Ryan is. I don't want Ryan with Kendall, either. How about Kendall/Aidan and Greenlee/David. (My prediction for the Bianca/Greenlee scene: Bianca has the biggest heart of any of these characters, period, and I think she'll try to understand, and will be kinder, even though she's rightly angry. She also has a lot of guilt about her lies and the deceptions so many people had to undertake to protect her. Okay, I forgive Bianca again!) Throw Ryan to Mia---weren't they together once? Get him away from the cool girls.

I still honestly don't understand the Greenlee hate, and the wishing she'd die in a mineshaft or suicide or whatever. Especially when Kendall is just as morally ambiguous in her own character and history, to say the least. Enjoyable and an exciting, Erica-esque diva---and AM is fabulous--- but not a saint. I'm glad the show is going back to making Greenlee more understandable and not so neurotically angry, but I didn't hate her when she was angry, either. I just couldn't!

Right on! Man, that would make FF so much easier. It causes me pain to FF Alicia (not that I ever do, but still) and FF Rebecca is damn unpleasant too.

I have to agree. I don't think Bianca's being blind to Lena's charms or anything like that, though that seems to be the take of some people on Olga's board. She's always thought Lena is a catch. It's more that, like she told Naggie, she's not about the romance right now. She has too much on her plate as it is. The time isn't right. And frankly, now that she's seven months pregnant, I'd prefer that she wait until after she gives birth anyway to have sex again. (Yes, I know pregnant women can be attractive and can enjoy sex--but still, let the poor girl have sex again for the first time under better conditions.) Bianca's so busy with everything that she didn't even remember her own birthday; how is she supposed to find time for a romantic relationship right now? Relationships take time and energy (that's why I don't have them, snicker) and Bianca would not be able to be any sort of girlfriend to Lena really. After the trial, it's a different story. She was seriously thinking about asking Lena to come with her to Europe and she had a brief grin on her face of "yeah, that'd be wonderful" when Naggie was pointing out how romantic it would be, before getting back to business. (If it makes anyone feel better, Brooke's date did hit on Lena at the NYE party and Bianca saw the entire thing. Of course, it was offscreen, but it did happen. And when Lena wondered to Bianca why he'd done that, Bianca told her she was irresistible.)

I didn't mind Lena quietly leaving because I thought for once she read Bianca pretty well. It was sweet of her, but a little naive, to think that Bianca would remotely be in shape to make a big deal out of her birthday. It reminded me of the time when Lena was in jail and telling Bianca to go off and be happy, and Bianca had to reiterate over and over that that just was not a possibility while Lena was sitting in a cell. This time it went better--Lena told Bianca she wanted to go out to celebrate, Bianca pointed out everything that was going on, and Lena toned it down and settled for giving Bianca a cupcake and the reassurance Bianca really needed instead. I understood Lena's thinking that maybe she could take Bianca's mind off everything, but some problems are just too major for that. No way Binks could be living it up out on the town when Kendall's facing conviction. She made an effort to cute herself up for Lena and to play along with the cupcake thing, and I think that's about all that she was capable of, and I liked that Lena recognized that.


I agree also. Way to jump on the bandwagon once you see the general town reaction, Mia. She's mostly just trying to do damage control because of Aidan, I think.

I saw Bianca's new flashbacks and the only comment I really have is that the black purse we see looks like something Erica, not Kendall or Bianca, would carry. That said, it doesn't automatically make Erica the killer. Bianca might've hidden out for some time watching the various comings-and-goings, especially if she was looking for Reggie.

And I realized that Erica did keep some information from Tad about that night. Remember that whole production she made out of telling Jack the something else that she and David had done that night? It wasn't about the castration potion because they had already told Jack (and the police) about it at the police station.


I disliked Naggie well before that, but I actually thought all that was dead on and very well-written (though not well-acted by Liz). Bianca played Naggie like a fiddle, and it kinda amused me because I always like it when Bianca gets nastily manipulative. I think it's because we don't get to see that side of her very much, despite her Kane genes. Not to mention that Eden always looks way hot at those times. *cough* Oink! *cough*


I don't actually hate Greenlee in general--I can find her very amusing at times--but I think the difference between her and Kendall for me is that inside, Kendall has more of a heart. They both definitely have that "hard shell covering overwhelming insecurities and vulnerabilities" thing going on, but even so, Greenlee's still fundamentally colder and harder inside too. I can believe Kendall cares about other people more than herself. I get no such feeling from Greenlee.

I don't hate Greenlee. I hate what she's done and it's good that she's feeling remorse for it but too little too late. Like Bianca just said today, ignorance of the consequences is no excuse (especially when said ignorance is ridiculous; there's no way she couldn't have known).

Quick thoughts so far today: I was hoping Ryan's grabby hands would do something for the greater good and accidentally rip that fugly fake rose off Kendall's shirt. Why does she keep wearing that thing? It's the third time or so she's rotated that particular shirt in her wardrobe.

I agree - and I so want Lianca. Thing is, I'd like Bianca to realize that she's taking Lena for granted. Yeah, Lena has said she'd be waiting and is wearing the ring and comes when she's called and all that, but I want Bianca to be less of a selfish tool even while dealing with all the other stuff - ah, Kinks. I mean, she's concerned with everyone and everything but Lena and it's grating on my nerves. Maybe it's all to set up BAM, I don't know, but I'm bored and irritated with it.

On a much happier note, I was trolling The L Word thread and it's suddenly gone from boring navel-gazing blah blahs to funny as hell. Don't think I've not noticed that the change happened when all the peeps in this thread went over there. It turns out, there actually are gay people and stories on other shows: who knew? Might be time to migrate.

I have a lunch meeting today, so I'm PBPing it...Greenlee just said she wanted to be Bianca's sister? Heh. I could complain about the fact that Leo always wanted Greenlee and Bianca to get along better and Greenlee never made any real effort while he was alive, or about the fact that there's no such thing as insta-sisters (Greens, seriously, if you want that kind of relationship, you can't just fix a broken nail for Bianca once. Call, visit, don't try to undermine her real sister, y'know?)...but really, I just ran that entire line through the Pervy filter. Hee. Greenlee has given up on trying to get to Kendall by stealing Ryan away and is now trying to get to Kendall by stealing Bianca away. Good luck with that one, Greens. You're lucky Bianca was too exhausted to kill you. (I know she said she was too exhausted to forgive Greens, but I'm sure the other holds true too.)

The thing for me is, Bianca told Lena that she'd be better off finding someone else. That's why she broke up with Lena after Voldemort. She knew she couldn't be the kind of girlfriend she felt Lena deserved, and gave her her freedom. It's Lena's choice to stick around, and I don't see Lena doing that as being some sort of weak "at the whims of Bianca" kind of thing. I think she understands what's going on with Bianca and that if she waits a little longer, she'll have Bianca. The thing is, I don't think emotional connections are a big priority for Lena on the whole. She's fine with being alone. She doesn't care about relationships for relationships' sake. Bianca is an exception for Lena, and if she can't have Bianca, well, it's not that she doesn't want anyone else, it's that she's rather indifferent to the idea of relationships in general.

And I just don't see Bianca being a selfish tool where Lena is concerned, really. If anything, one could argue she's a little too selfless. If she really was selfish, she'd get back together with Lena and take everything she could while giving her back nothing--because she really is very busy and she has good reason for being very busy. She's dealing with the rape, the pregnancy, her sister on trial for murder, and her nutty mother. There isn't room for Lena in all that. I think Bianca would be a shitty girlfriend right now, and she knows it. As Mystic0 said, if someone else came along that Lena was actually interested in, Bianca's reaction is much more likely to be a wistful "Good for you, you deserve it" than anything else. It's exactly what she told Lena to do when she broke up with her.

I guess my long-winded point is that I don't think Bianca's taking Lena for granted, because she didn't expect Lena to stick around. She's happy that Lena is, and is hoping Lena will continue to do that, but I also don't think she just assumes that Lena will continue to, either. She knows she's taking something of a risk, but on the other hand, it'd be disastrous if she pushed herself into reuniting with Lena, and trying to have sex again, before she's ready. Their relationship would just blow up. Going along as friends, as frustrating as it is for Lianca fans (which includes myself), really is the best course right now.

I'm just curious--if you're not talking about Bianca and Lena being together, then how do you mean? I mean, we do see Lena over at the apartment and such, and Bianca's always welcomed her in. And that moment where Lena was parked on the couch reading a book seemed rather cozily domestic, like she's around often enough she doesn't even need to be talking to Bianca every second but can just hang. In short, it feels to me like they do spend time together, but we just don't see a lot of it (natch).

Holy redundancy, Batman~~Could Kendall and Ryan have the same effin' conversation One. More. Time?!? McTavish is trying to depict this powerful, push/pull relationship and all that comes across are two people having (and I may have mentioned this) the same effin' conversation ad infinitum. Today, I periodically muted the TV during their exchanges, and then turned on the sound at random points to see if I was accurately predicting what they were saying. Yes, indeed I was...More and more, I find myself actively disliking so many of the characters here. I tuned in for Bianca, but may tune out forthwith.

I think I've been pretty on record with my Mia hate, and I still long for the days of Mia-shaped indents in the pavement (Good times. Good times.) But, I don't think she intended to go nearly as far as Greenlee. Her issue was Aidan helping Kendall (even Mia knows she's no match for a Kane woman), and she'd have done anything to sever that tie (taking the phone off the hook, not giving him messages). But, she was the one telling Greenlee they needed to get Fred out of there. It may have been so Aidan wouldn't get pissed at her, but I give her more credit than Greenlee there. At least Mia had the presence of mind to know that publicly trashing Kendall's defense was no way to win her man. Greenlee assumed Ryan would come running her way once she got done doing her bit to send Kendall to jail. I still want Mia off my screen, though. And I am beyond disappointed that if someone had to fall down a mineshaft, it wasn't Mia.

Amazing how high up the "God I'm bored" meter can shoot when Boobe and Broyay are onscreen. Yeesh, I hate watching live on days like this.

This is alittle off topic and looking ahead but...
How long do you think it will be before we have to suffer a bad child actor playing Bianca jr? That has been my main fear since Bianca decided to have the baby. I found Maria's kids to be unbearable to watch. Bianca is the only reason I watch this show, and I'd hate to have all or most of her scenes ruined by one of these shorties.

First off, it's Kendall Jr. Second, I don't find Mauria's kids to be unbearable because they're bad actors. I actually think they're pretty decent, considering. They're unbearable because they're written as obnoxious and snotty. Especially Maddie. Sam not so much, but it's hard for the obnoxiousness to come across when he spends a great deal of his time in a noncorporeal state.

I think I may view things differently than a lot of Lianca fans just because I'm not really offended on Lena's behalf. Maybe she is having a shitty time right now (even though she's smiling 24/7 and doesn't seem in the least depressed) but who in the hell is having a good time? Other than Mary, I can't think of anyone. I guess if I were Lena centric, I could see Lena's implied horrible treatment and ultimate victimization at the hands of her cruel, uncaring, selfish Not!GF Binks, but I really don't. That's not a slam on anyone's extremely popular opinion of Lena as the most wronged party, I just don't honestly see what makes Lena's 'problem' trump everyone else's. I never have. Plus, dammit, I hate the notion that Lena is some defenseless kitten who doesn't have the damn ability to just walk away if she doesn't like how things stand. Gah, just ignore that rant. I just have a hard time seeing Lena the way most seem to. In my head, she's still the corporate shark (though reformed) and is steadfastly going about getting what she wants (Bianca) because she friggin' wants it. The day I see Lena as a helpless, captive/victim is the day I turn in my Lianca card. JMO, of course, and isn't directed at any other poster.

Now, before I'm sporked, on with the show:

I liked the Ginks scenes. So much pretty in one room. Yummy! Bianca was easier on Greens than I thought she would be. Greens playing the Leo card was probably a good idea. Rebecca did a great job being all contrite.

The Binks/David scenes were good, too. Once again, very good shallow viewing. Mmm. *ahem* Anyways, Vincent rocks. I like David being all snuggly and sweet, knowing he's still a glorious bastard underneath. Eden was awesome. She does terrified damn well. Binky (and almost Greenlee) had me all misty-eyed today.

Alicia! Don't ever leave us again! She was great today. She's turning into such a good crier. I loved Kendall's logic about Ryan wanting to marry her because she'd have access to Bianca's money. Hee! Yep, Kinks is more text-y than ever. Love you, Pervy!

That's why I'm grateful for Bianca being so young. Even AMC can't SORAS that kid too rapidly so long as Eden's in the role. Now when she eventually leaves, if AMC recasts with an older actress later, that'll help push the window for SORASing along...

True, KerleyQ to your Mia defense. I was a bit harsh. I was annoyed by her whining when Greenlee tore Kendall's dress off and Ryan then hauled Greens out about why would Ryan be mad at Greenlee when it was Kendall who had faked the pregnancy, blah blah babycakes.

But we are all agreed on the need for Liza and a window, I think.

Oh, and I was disappointed in Simone today too. Sigh. Does AMC think that we'll accept Tad the Cad because all three women have now pretended that it's okay by them if he nails them all?

The last bit was more about Lena getting into a pissing match with Maggie than about being comfortable in Bianca's home, I think, though it was a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

To answer your question - I want to see the interaction. Today alone Bianca talked more to Greenlee than she has to Lena since July; I know it's different because Greenlee is not a possible love interest and all that and, of course, it was about Bainca's real lover (hee!), but between the Baggie fluffing and the dumbing down of Lena, it's getting tiring to watch. Seven months and not one conversation that matters? They can chat all they want off-camera, but since I'm seeing all the other chats...

I don't need to see them boffing - there's a word for ya - but I would like to see less marginalization.

Perviness aside (yeah, right), Eden and Rebecca had good scenes today and played them just right.

I'm missin' my Kinks but there was some today. When Ryan tells Kendall he talked to Binks, Kendall really perked up. (I'm really starting to think that Kendall doesn't like Ryan being around Bianca.) Then Ryan listed all of Kendall's attributes (well, the negative ones anyway) that he and Bianca had discussed and Kendall totally had this "My sister doesn't see me that way! Hmph!" look. Hee! Hopefully, David will call Kendall to come to the hospital tomorrow and she'll escape Ryan's grabby paws.



Word! Kendall was so matter of fact about it! Kinks are soooooo a couple. Kendall knows Binks will pony up to get Kendall anything she wants, even Ryan.

I too adore Gamer!Lena. MysticO and Black Knight I agree with your assessment of the Lianca storyline to a point. I agree Lena could walk away and Bianca in not ready to be romantic with anyone. However, I agree with CKD that it’s frustrating to see Bianca have emotionally in-depth conversations with everyone else in Pie Balley, except Lena. The writers currently only see Lena as Bianca's romantic interest and since Bianca is not ready to engage in a relationship, she has been marginalized. Why don't they get Lena something else to do in the meantime? I'd even accept her in the Jar Jar Boobe storyline if it meant she could interact with Adam and Mary.

The back stage politics are also driving my frustration. The knowledge that McHack never marginalized her other rape victims partner's from the storyline, coupled with the "Sycophants R Us" rape pimping makes me really question AMC's commitment to Lianca.

I haven't seen today's eppy, but I'm looking forward to what pervy has in store for me today with Ginks and Kinks love shout outs from afar.

Dude, I agree with that, too. I hope it didn't come across that I agree with the writing of Lianca. Hells, no! I would have definitely preferred Lena had been involved throughout. Hells, yes! I want warm, in depth discussion between Lianca. I want them to move toward a real, solid relationship. It's just not what we are currently getting, so I'm just basing my opinions on what we are getting and not what I wish we were. Seriously, shoot me if I ever come across as defending McT's 'writing'.

I'm also really down for getting something going SL wise for Lena. It's just that some of my Lena love is tied into the fact that she's part of Lianca. If she were off banging David or something, she'd just fall into the Liza or Brooke category with me. I'd still like her but wouldn't be all that invested. Since Lianca and Kaidan are the two couples where I like all the parties involved and like them as a couple, I am more invested in their coupledom than, say, Lena/? or Aidan/?.

I agree completely. Just to clarify my own position, what I was trying to say throughout is that I'm fine with how Bianca has been lately, it's the writing that I think is the issue. There have certainly been plenty of opportunities for Lianca to have nice in-depth chats that we could hear--they seemed to be conversing just fine in the background for most of the NYE party, for instance, but we got to hear about two sentences of it. I blame the writers for not showing us the Lianca interaction that I do feel is taking place, and I also blame the writers for not bothering to round Lena out by giving her something else to do. I know that McTrash can only juggle about two stories at once, so I, in my eternal optimism, believe that we'll see Lena and Lianca move up to the forefront again once the trial/murder is wrapped up. But it certainly sucks for those who watch only for Lena to have to wait for her to get off the backburner.


We've certainly had a few hints. Whenever I watch the sonogram ep, Kendall banishing Ryan to the far wall so he can't catch any nekkid Bianca never fails to crack me up.


At least she's secure in one relationship in her life. Hee. Now if she'd just quit arguing with Frankenbrow and return her girlfriend's call...

How much did RB rock today? Finally a glint of humanity showing through Greenlee's hard as nails facade. The scenes at the Falls really reminded me how much Greenlee's characterization was tied into being in a relationship with Leo. Their time together was really the only period when I've seen Greenlee written as anything but a little rich girl or an ambitious bitch. The character has really been adrift since JD jumped ship ( I miss his prettiness). I don't know if that's entirely a casting issue to be blamed on chemistry-free romantic prospects ( umm... Carlos anyone?) or the fact TPTB really haven't ever fleshed the character out beyond the bare bones. That Greenlee is anything other than a caricature ( hello Free Clinic Krystal) I credit entirely to RB's acting chops.

David needs to find her in the mineshaft. They need to get together. Greenlee needs to never mention Ryan's name again. Ever.

Yeah, that was pretty funny. Seeing him scurrying off and sitting facing the wall like a chastised school boy will never get old. Neither will Kendall demanding 'privacy'. Hee! Thinking of Lena as being neglected by Bianca and hanging around being a shmoop in search of an object to shmoop about, which is how I've been seeing things lately, makes for a very depressing Lianca-watching experience. I was mourning the death of Corporate Shark Lena, but you've shown me that she isn't gone at all! Yay! So now I've got Kinks and a renewed perspective on Lianca. My AMC viewing just got exciting again. Yeah, the writing still sucks, but my new perspective gives me more patience.

I know that Bianca has Kendalls trial/conviction on her mind coupled with Erica and baby horrors, so I would be just find if that took precedent over Lena. But we also get Bianca worrying about Kendall and Ryan (I know if my sister was on trial for her life that would be the only thing I would worry about not her boyfriend)and worrying about how Maggie is feeling. If she has the ability to think of those things at this time then she should also think about Lenas feelings but she continues to take Lena for granted.

I've been giving a lot of thought to employing Dr. David on the Hell Express. Actually, with all the hotness that is Kinks, and well, the hotness that is our two favorite bar boys Aidan and Boyd, it is probably a good idea that we have the good doctor around.

Kendall actually said to Ryan(referring to Bianca) "She wants me." Hee. But she quickly covered with "She wants me to be happy."

Greenlee asks for Leo to guide her, then she falls down a mineshaft. D'oh! I thought Greenlee's comments, telling Bianca to be happy and how she'll make a great mom were very sweet. I wish that Erica would take that approach regarding Bianca and just be happy for her. If she can't be happy for her then just shut up and support her decisions.

They haven't covered that mineshaft yet? I smell lawsuit! luckily Greens left her stilletos as a clue to her wearabouts. I'm sure Natalie installed a minibar by now, after all the time she spent there, so Greens should be comfortable. Classic SOS (Soap Opera Shit). I love it.

IIRC, Janet dumped Natalie into an abandoned well, not a mineshaft. Those falls (just like the Pennsylvania Ocean and the Pine Valley Lake) didn't exist back then. People went to Willow Lake or NYC for recreation, back in the day.

In all the moments of Ryan being utterly clueless yesterday, I thought the most telling was near the beginning when Kendall asked him if he loved her and he said he loved her, except for her defenses. Now I do understand that Kendall's defenses can get tiring, but they're an essential part of her and they're not going away. She can take them down, but not if she's being made to feel defensive about her defenses.


Well, we knew why in the beginning--because Ryan was playing Harass the Rape Victim--but I'm not quite so sure why now. I think it might be the perceived element of "Ryan and Bianca are talking about me behind my back." Ryan made it sound like Bianca was running Kendall down, which she wasn't, making Kendall feel like her sister thinks that Ryan is too good for her, and has to be paid off to propose to Kendall, or some such. I mean, Kendall has no doubt of Bianca's love for her, but I don't know how secure she feels about Bianca's estimation of her. (Of course, Bianca was only trying to kick some sense into Kendall's fiance, a dynamic I enjoyed. Really rather reminiscent of when Kendall was doing the same with Lena. Those Sisters Kane sure do look out for each other in every way...)


It would be just like McTrash to have Bianca miscarry her seven-months-along fetus on her birthday. I'm so glad I read spoilers and know that she doesn't miscarry--at least not this time. Bianca really did look absolutely terrified. She's hanging by a thread as it is--I felt so bad for her when she was absolutely desolated telling David "Kendall's done for"--and if she lost her baby, it'd destroy her. BTW, did anyone else think there was something a bit odd about Bianca and David's interaction yesterday? I don't know if it was Bianca feeling a bit discomfited by the physical contact--which doesn't really make sense because she feels comfortable enough with David that she even had him do her rape exam--or if it was Eden not liking Vincent pawing her so much. Twice she contrived to get Vincent's hand off her face, she pulled away from the hug really abruptly, and when Vincent's hand was on her belly, first she was holding her hand lower to kind of keep his in place, and then when she took it away and his hand started going lower, she pulled his hand back up immediately. I dunno, it was just a little weird. But maybe Eden was just in a "I don't wanna be touched" mood that day and had the bad luck to draw a scene that called for a lot of physical comforting.

I have to complain about the editing in what was a good episode yesterday. The editing was really pretty shitty--a lot of times cutting away from someone before his/her line or reaction shot was complete. In particular, it hurt the otherwise-excellent Bianca/Greenlee scenes. Eden and Rebecca rocked the house, and I really liked Greenlee again all throughout. I think it helped that Greenlee didn't feel that she could make the same lame excuses that she did with everyone else to Bianca's face--she didn't say one word about Fusion or Ryan, for instance. She did try to insist that what she did wasn't intentional, but Bianca called her on that and Greenlee accepted it. (I was very happy to hear Greenlee finally admit in her beautiful monologue later that she'd been "off the charts stupid".) I also liked that the history between Bianca and Greenlee was brought up and that Greenlee recognized that Bianca really had no reason to confide in her. And I felt really bad for both Greenlee and Bianca when Greenlee told Bianca sincerely that she would do anything to fix things and Bianca told her some things can't be fixed. It depressed Greens to feel she'd lost any chance with Bianca for a relationship, and it showed once again just how much the last couple of years have beat Bianca up.

In short, those scenes did a lot for Greenlee's character growth. She's hit bottom (literally now) and I think we're now on the way to her being rehabbed. Because we all know that any character growth that occurred during McTrash's absence, she insists on tearing down and doing over herself.
