Okay, finally watched the episode. A few comments:
- I'm a bad bad person. Because I laughed my ass off when Maggie kissed Bianca. And I laughed again at the flashback. I mean, I sort of like this new storyline, but still...
- Bianca, buy a fucking clue, man! I mean, Maggie was being sooo obvious. And even if you're not into BAM, you gotta admit, Bianca scores low on the friend chart. Romance aside, it doesn't occur to her that her best friend might be upset because she's fleeing the country and never plans to come back? Man, listening to her prattle on about the VoldeSpawn irritated me to no end.
- Tad, how dare you disrespect my Simone?! Grrr... However, I do give MEK props for uttering "You're a wonderful person but a terrible liar" without laughing. Because I sure as hell laughed. Simone, good job with the killing.
- Okay, okay, I have to admit. I watched the court scene in the end. Kendall was great. Alicia, damn you and your good acting! It makes it impossible for me to FF your scenes.
- I loves me some Reggie. That is all.
ETA - Mia, you ignorant slut.

Whoa, still reeling from the Kinks overload! The hug in the courtroom was just...sniff
Anyway, I just came by to post my favorite moment today, which I caught accidently since I usually FF through any non-Kendall moments: When Boyd knocks on Aidan's door and almost comes in, did anyone else think he looked like he was about to kiss Aidan?...Just me, then. And who could blame him even if he wanted to.

No calgrrl, it wasn't just you. I saw that Boyd/Aiden thing and immediately rewound to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I know that we joke about Aiden and Boyd, but that was really close. The blocking was really suggestive, which made it even funnier.

Well, the phrases "lazy writers" and "character assasination" come to mind. Although, come to think of it, Mia has never been terribly useful, aside from the time that Liza pushed her out that window. Where is Liza when you need her? I'll bet that courtroom isn't on the first floor, since you always see the elevators on that set.
ETA: For crying out loud, that was the dumbest reason for Kendall to testify. So she made some stupid claim to the media, it's not binding, it's not a freaking court of law. I love Livia, but she should know better.

So Ryan's the Jen of the AMC board, huh? Die Ryan Die!
Is this the Jen bot of OLTL infamy? I lurk. Nobody likes her, everybody hates her, we all wish she'd just go eat (tequila) worms. If it is, then Ryan totally is. I don't think anyone here is pro-Ryan.
That's the one. Die Jen Die is a constant slogan on that thread. I did ask here a while ago if anyone liked Ryan, and IIRC a couple of people here said they didn't hate him, which isn't quite the same thing. He's popular on some other boards, apparently.
Heh on the comments on the lack of tongue with BAM. I have to say I was grateful, because it's already insensitive enough to blitz-kiss a recent rape victim, but it would've been so much worse if Maggie had tried to immediately ram her tongue down Bianca's throat, too. It looked like she had her mouth open just slightly and was waiting to see if Bianca's mouth would open. And of course Bianca was having none of it. How I loved replaying Maggie's expression when she was looking at Bianca in the hope that Bianca was going to be all happy and start kissing her again, and realized it wasn't going to happen. Snerk.
For some reason, I just found Aidan really cute at the end, when he arrived at the courthouse and saw Fred. But then I think I'm finding Aidan cuter every time I see him. (It helps that I FF every single scene he has with Mia, so my love for him isn't hurt by having to listen to him tell Mia that he wants to be with her, or whatever the heck it is he's saying to her as I zip past their scenes.)
From the previews--I loved Kendall ripping into Greenlee while Livia held her back. I could see the lynch mob forming right behind her. Let's hope Kendall's dress gets damaged in the fracas and she has to change into something else.
A fun little thing I noticed on rewatching the Kinks--man, are they totally obvious in their mad eyeshagging love for each other, but there's usually subtler bits too--when Bianca's telling Kendall how brave she was, and Kendall replies in kind, Bianca ever so slightly puckers her lips and sends her girlf--er, sister an air kiss. And of course I ran her expression through the Pervy filter and got, "I can't wait until we're alone." Ah, Kinks.
ETA:
kariyaki, I read your recap for yesterday's ep and noticed this line:
Nobody insults Binky’s sist—er, girlfriend in her presence.
Is that just a mistake, or a Freudian slip, or have you come around to my way of thinking that the fact they're sisters is now the true subtext? Hee.

Coincidentally, that ep also featured the pretty little girl who played David's Hallucinated Leora last year.
Ah, Samara--er, Leora. Oh, who am I kidding. That kid was SO Samara.
I sort of like this new Jamie. I mean, I loved Greasy (did you all see him on Smallville?), but this new Jamie is so damn pretty. I'm just a sucker for a nice square jaw though.... I wish they had kept Greasy and brought on NuNuNuJamie in a different role.
*sputters* You mean like they were supposed to do? I'm still steamed by that. NewJamie was supposed to be JR and Greasy was to remain. Then they nabbed Jacob Young and did some shuffling. Poor Greasy was ousted.
I've tried to like this new Jamie but I can't. He is just such an annoying tool. I miss Greasy so very, very much. And you bet I caught him on Smallville. I'll also be catching him on ATWT on Thursday. [sigh] And it can't be said enough: I miss Joanie.

Re.BAM: Maggie is just plain horny and let it tear down any restraint she might have had about not succumbing to the Almighty Eden (The Force is Strong in your Family..). Then when it was not reciprocated accordingly she turned to the next warm body (Lena just wasn't an option obviously) to get some satisfaction. JMHO though.

Ah!
That’s what was bothering me about Lena’s hair. To be fair, I don’t think it’s a full-blown mullet; it’s more of a serious mullet
effect created/pronounced when she tucks her hair behind her ears. A ten-minute trip to the AMC hair people could fix that. However, after the horror of that too short haircut (circa Huntress Dress of Sherwood Forest -- what a perfect combination of bad hair and bad wardrobe), I dread Olga going anywhere near a pair of scissors. *shudder*
Speaking of bad hair, yesterday wasn’t exactly Maggie’s moment in the sun either. Maybe that’s why Bianca wasn’t interested. ;)

BWAH!! And, no, it wasn’t just you. I still wish AMC would drop Ryan and keep JP. As much as I didn’t like him when he was first introduced (hitting on all the Fusion girls, “saving” every female within a 10 mile radius, the constant barrage of “Isn’t he great? He’s mysterious! He’s compassionate! He’s sensitive! He’s reech!” etc…), JP’s really grown on me. It doesn’t hurt that he’s hot. But I think it’s mainly due to McHack’s abandoning of JP in favor of fluffing Ryan to the nth power. Shoot, Olga and Marc Menard should tutor Tomy Dunster in the ways of the English – it’s not like they have anything else to do.

I agree. Pinchsac McScreech works my last nerve. I ALWAYS FF his scenes, no matter who he's with. Well, unless it looks like an especially nekkid Alitia or Kinks scene. But it looks like he's going to be around for a very long time, as long as Typhoid Meghan is at the helm. Just like a Lianca reunion is going to be a very long time coming. Which I really wouldn't mind too much, if we would get Olga in more than one 30 second scene every 3 days.
I do like Tomy's accent some times, and the fact that he calls Alitia, "Ken Doll."

First of all, did I really see Greenlee ripping off Kendall's dress in the courtroom during the preview? Poor Greenlee. She is so in dire need of a good shagging. If ripping your ex-lover's clothes off in public isn't a cry for help, I don't know what is.
Oh, the BAM. You know, I wasn't laughing at Maggie. I was laughing at the Bammers and their tongue sightings. Because, no. There really wasn't any.
Kinks! OMG! First of all, you guys were right! Kendall TOTALLY had to turn her head at the last second to avoid some Bianca mackage.
Woah. How could you miss that? You don't even need a pervy filter to see it! The eyeshagging really reached a whole new level. Alicia had me crying during Kendall's testimony. I'm such a sap. Remind me again why she's a supporting actress? I thought her story made a lot of sense and went off really well.

See, I kind of thought that the Tad/Simone scenes implied that she's still very much a contender, because she was being written in such a good way--very loving, sweet and sexy all at once, and you could see Tad thinking that maybe he was being a fool to let her go. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm kidding myself, good thing I still have my room in the Denial Mansion.
kariyaki, I actually didn't notice the blinding white light on Kinks when they were hugging. Hee. I'll have to look for that the next time I rewatch the Astral Court Sex.
Kendall looks pissed and Bianca isn't looking too damn happy herself. I bet Lena will have to tie the Binkster up and lock her in the nearest supply closet.
Hee. But I'd greatly fear for Lena's ultimate safety if she did that. Keeping Bianca away from Kendall, especially during the trial, would just be a bad, bad idea. Oh, didn't Kendall's whole "this baby will be loved" bit have such a TwoMommies feel to it? Hee.
Especially when said rape victim just finished telling you she's not about the romance right now. Maggie's an idiot.
I noticed that too. How she thought Bianca might be happy about the kiss in light of that is beyond me. And then of course she maturely runs off instead of sitting down to talk about it, because she didn't want to hear the "I love you as a friend" speech. It's completely typical of Bianca to reassure Maggie that it's okay instead of smacking her down, but gee, isn't that such a contrast from a certain person's reaction to a drunken near-kiss? Who was that? *cough* Maggie *cough* It really can't be said enough--Maggie's an idiot. She and Mia would be a perfect couple. Offscreen.
ETA:

Hee. It's pathetic of me, but I replayed that in slo-mo. It's especially funny in light of the Naggie assault earlier, like Bianca's problem wasn't kissing per se, but that it was, "Wrong woman. Maggie's kissing Binks was not only as tacky as her wardrobe, it was totally hypocritical, IMO. Not too long ago, Maggie sanctimoniously gave Lena the smackdown for complicating Binks' life, only to do the same thing herself a few months later. As if Binks didn't have enough of her own shit to deal with already, Maggie has to add hers. I wouldn't be suprised if Maggie tried to play it off as an "oral malfunction."

That bitch. It's karmic justice for her to have to hear a 'friend' speech from Binks. Buck up, Mags, everyone gets their godsmack, twit. I'm eagerly (evilly) awaiting the hyper-awkwardness of the eventual BAM run-in. Maggie has to come home sometime. Heh. Bianca's too damn nice. Of all the Kane genetics running in her veins, why couldn't she have gotten the "Take your inner bitch for a walk and let that bitch
shine!" gene? I'm hoping like hell that Maggie feels so embarrassed that she insists on moving back into the dorms. Since no one will even entertain the notion of Binks living alone, that sets the stage for some Kinks shacking up (seeing as Lianca isn't quite 'there' as far as living together). Plus, I'm jonesing to hear Kendall's "Ryan? I know we're getting hitched and all, but Binky's moving in! Cool, huh???" speech. Muhahahaha! Take that, Pecs-A-Plenty!

Word to whomever said that Binky sucks as a friend. Romantic feelings aside, you have to suck pretty hard as a best friend if you don't realize that telling your best friend you're leaving with your "not girlfriend" after you had made plans to go with the bff -repeatedly- is gonna hurt her feelings. Also, to those complaining about Maggie forcing herself on Binks, don't forget about Lena's dumbass move earlier. IMO she and Lena are equally tied for sucky forethought- Lena's suicide attempt ( she couldn't just hop a plane outta Pine Valley??), and the kiss (not the right time).

kariyaki's "Kinks lovechild" in canon.
Not too long ago, Maggie sanctimoniously gave Lena the smackdown for complicating Binks' life, only to do the same thing herself a few months later.
That ties in with
Mystic0's point about Bianca not really getting upset about it all until Maggie ran out of the room. Before that, she was shocked but remaining calm, reassuring Maggie it was okay and that they should talk about it. When Maggie ran out it turned what could have been a relatively minor blip in the road into a major issue. Yeah, it should be fun when Maggie finally drags her ass home. I want to hear the convo of "It's probably not a good idea we continue living together in a studio, so I'm moving in with my lov--er, sister Kendall."
I don't agree that Bianca was really being insensitive about Maggie. She took pains to reassure Maggie that she'd never lose Bianca, and she didn't say she was asking Lena in lieu of Maggie--she said she hadn't decided anything yet. (Plus she was hella nice about the blitz-kiss.) The "Lena as replacement" idea was all Maggie, and I doubt it had anything to do with Lena. It's entirely reasonable of Bianca to think that, since she was planning on moving away permanently, that Maggie would stay in PV where her cousin and school is, not to mention the guy that Maggie has told Bianca she's dating. When they talked about going away together before, it was supposed to be a trip of a couple of months. It wouldn't be appropriate for Bianca to ask Maggie, much less assume that Maggie would agree, to move away for good--that's something you ask a serious love interest to do, not a friend, even a best friend. Maggie was being completely over-the-top melodramatic about the entire thing, too. When she made the comment about geography class I rolled my eyes, and I snickered when Bianca pointed out she wasn't on the run from the mob. Get over yourself, Mags. It isn't Bianca's fault that Maggie has no other life and wants her BFF around 24/7. Bianca can't live her life for Maggie and Maggie shouldn't be living her life for Bianca, either.

True to a point. Maggie still has her own life of being a student, and her own family to deal with. But that point is exactly why I don't really like Lena. She has no family, or life outside of Bianca in Pine Valley- even her job is with one of the Kanes at any given time. She's pretty much glommed on to Bianca for any kind of a life. The writers really should have given her more of her own story, not just a backstory or a job story line but her own life in Pine Valley outside of Bianca.
Bah!! Down with the triangle and long live Kinks!!! :-P

I must admit I, too, thought Bianca should have gone the gentler way when she blurted out Maggie was not part of the "new escape plan," but it's ludicrous that Maggie would think for even a second that the "I'm flying away forever" scenario had anything at all to do with her.

Except Maggie doesn't value either of those things. They don't count for her. So her whole life really is Bianca and it's rather disturbing to think that she would uproot herself and go off with Bianca for good without so much as a look backwards. (It's even more disturbing that she seemed to feel that Bianca should have just
assumed that Maggie would do just that. She's had the same pattern consistently ever since she arrived in PV--she finds one person to obsess over to the exclusion of all else. First it was Bianca. Then it was Henry (wasn't it lovely when Maggie was thinking about Henry rather than her suffering cousin who had just lost his daughter?). Now it's Bianca again.
It'd be nice if Maggie would pay an iota of attention to David, who's not only lost both his wife and his baby, but also pays for her education and I'm assuming all other expenses, including her share of the rent. The car she was driving, which wasn't exactly shabby, no doubt came from David too. Maggie has never held down a paying job in her time in PV.

I took notes as I went along.
-I think this episode is my reward for having to watch Mia and Greenlee behave like selfish bitches. They're really getting their asses handed to them on a platter, it's great. Especially Mia. Aidan is SO dumping her ass.
-Mia may have stolen Boyd's brain, though. If I were him, and I saw that Fred was testifying, I would have been out of that court before they even swore him in. I wouldn't wait until they got to the "What did Michael Cambias look like?" question.
-Have I mentioned how much I love Judge Hannah? Her face when Fred called her "Your Majesty" was just fucking priceless. As was her expression when she first got a gander at Fred's journal.
-I love you, Aidan! He saved Kendall from Fred's testimony, whoo-hoo! And I was getting all melty at the look Aidan was giving Kendall after he'd come through for her. [sigh] (not that it matters, given what happened in the end)
-Smoan and Liza. That was mean of her but I loved seeing the resurgence of Classic Liza. Hammer Smoan with the truth and then smirk over her coffee when all is said and done.
-How does Erica manage to make me hate her so much in one episode and love her so much in a different one? Her Mama Bear Kane display for Greenlee was just great. Like Erica says, no one messes with a Kane woman.
-I have SO many mixed emotions about that last scene. On the one hand, I totally see why Greenlee did it. She was so VERY pissed that everybody that was previously in her corner (Jack, David...) were jumping through hoops to protect Kendall and her web of lies. Even Erica was in Kendall's corner.
-On the other hand, I can't believe that she would be so petty as to do such a thing when Kendall is on trial for her life. Bigger picture, Greenlee!
-It was so well acted and edited, though. Just fabulous.
-And on a completely shallow and HoYay-ish note: after all that, I was still giggling that Greenlee came and ripped Kendall's clothes off.
As I'm sure it's obvious, I really lurrrrved this episode.
ETA: Oh, and there was supposed to be a camera-pan to reveal the real killer. I saw no such pan.

I kept watching for the slow pan/don't miss it moment mentioned in the spoilers and came up with...not much. They slowed on Boyd once, Lena was featured in background shots, Myrtle giving Greenlee the stank-eye...any other ideas from those brighter and sharper?
ITA agree kariyaki. An excellent episode, especially Judge Hannah. She and Jack need to get it on. Or Adam. Or Livia. Anyone, so long as she stays with the show.

O/T DrCher you did a lovely Carrie Fisher wonky eye illustration at Fametracker, what about a Myrtle picture for our TWoP friends and lovers?
It's easy to artistically recreate a wonky-eye, but it's just too hard to draw stank-eye.
Stank-eye Myrtle = Murderer.

Man, those Kendall and Greenlee jokes are just writing themselves right now.
But really, in the jury selection they did mention the death penalty in this case, bigger picture Greenlee, indeed.

Preach it, sister! TPTB did an excellent job of showing the build up of Greens doing something so depraved. Rebecca kicked ass today, man. Greenlee may be sucking like a Hoover but wee Becca totally sold her hurt and nutty actions.
That said, the Mia/Greens smackdowns were damn near orgasmic for me. Just wonderful. Erica? I truly believe you are pure evil wrapped up in designer duds but I loved you a little bit when you ripped into Greens. Dude, she had Green's ass on the ropes. Myrtle's gleeful sneer was awesome! Dayum! Aidan making Mia cry was just lovely.
I worship at Livia and Hannah's altar. Please just tell this willing servant what to do and it'll be done. I. Love. Them.
Aw, poor Simone! Why can't Liza go after Krystal? It's so unfair to pick on pretty, addled-brained Simone! That's not a fair fight, man. Simone almost shot Seany? Hee! Sean is the MAN, don't be shooting the only man who truly loves you, Simone.
(snicker) Binky's reaction shot at Greenlee's ripping off Kendall's clothes was priceless.
Oh yeah, you big brained peeps out there know of just exactly how Kendall's gonna get out of this?

See, I kind of thought that the Tad/Simone scenes implied that she's still very much a contender, because she was being written in such a good way--very loving, sweet and sexy all at once, and you could see Tad thinking that maybe he was being a fool to let her go. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm kidding myself, good thing I still have my room in the Denial Mansion.
Thanks, BK. If you're kidding yourself, I think I'll let you kid me, too. I've got a death grip on hope right about now.
Well, if Tad dumps her, maybe Simone could find happiness with Sean. Hee hee.

Wow, screencaps already? I love the internet. ETA: I just looked at them. People are into Kinks on Olga's board too? I thought it was just us!
Aw, poor Simone! Why can't Liza go after Krystal? It's so unfair to pick on pretty, addled-brained Simone!
Because the tactic Liza used wouldn't work on Krystal. Tad could fuck all the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and Krystal wouldn't care because she's sure she'll win in the end. Smoan doesn't have that inflated self-esteem and Liza knows it. She went for the jugular, just like the good old days.
