Long time lurker here, and lover af all things Kinks and TWoP. Since my insomnia want let me sleep, I decided to put my time to good use. After reading all the post about Alicia, Eden, and Rebecca; and reading Eden's Round Up answer from SOD; I remembered reading another Round Up with Alicia. The question asked of her was: "Would you date a co-star, why or why not?" And the Lovely Alicia responded with this answer:

Black Knight, I think you have something with the "spartacus Defense" theory for Jack. Is it possible that he also knows it was either [SPOILER]Bianca or Erica with a memory block and wants to protect them as well as Kendall by sacrificing himself? It's true, these powerful families all involved can definitely buy their justice, confuse the jury, fake the evidence, commit perjury, and get away with all of it! Politically, of course, I totally object to this. But it's a soap, so, whatever. Soaps are so subversive, aren't they? Murder: good. Prosecutors: bad. Cops: dumb! LOL

I want Kendall and Greens to be friends again, too, but I have to say I understand why Greenlee is furious. She doesn't know why Kendall did what she did to Fusion and to all their friendships, she only knows Kendall has been cruel and crazy to them, and has bounced from man to man (kinda using them) and finally settled on Ryan, who Greenlee also likes (consciously. I must admit her carrying that glam shot of Kendall and having her key makes me wonder!). So Greens is reeling. She's nutso. I still love her. I know if she'd been clued in, she would have helped off Michael herself.

Sigh. She and David would've actually made a pretty smoking couple. Apparently, the actress who played her was in a TV pilot of John Grisham's The Street Lawyer, but ABC decided not to pick it up last fall.

Speaking of which, I blame all the current non-Voldemort storylines on Hooker Contrivance. If she had successfully seduced Greasy last spring, it's likely that FauxGreasy would've never gotten involved with Boobe. And since there wouldn't have been a paternity suit controversy, Krystal would've never come to PV and ruined Tad. Yep, it's all Hooker Contrivance's fault.

But the problem is that Greenlee has not taken one second to realize that there may be a greater good going on there. Even Erica in all of her selfishness and self-centeredness (?) realized that Kendall was faking some of this and has stood up for her for an imagined greater good. Greenlee was Kendall's best friend, and she can't even be bothered to trust kendall on some of this stuff.

Kendall probably could have saved herself a great deal of trouble with Greenlee if she had handed over 50% ownership to Greens immediately. Yes, Greenlee was basically a bitch from the moment Kendall returned from Vegas, but Kendall could have chosen to be the bigger person and assuaged Greenlee's fears in one respect at least. But that ain't the Kendall we know and love. That said, the other three Fusion girls should've realized that there was more going on with Kendall than just her marrying for money and power, supposedly. Even Exeter isn't using that theory of the crime in his prosecution of Kendall; he's going with the "Kendall killed Michael because he raped her sister" argument. If he can figure it out, so can the Fusion Trolls Greenlee/Mia and Half-Troll Simone (props to her for bailing out on the lynch mob, but she's still on probation).

It was definitely amusing to run Bianca's reaction to seeing Kendall and Reggie together through the Pervy filter of "She's jealous!", but on a more serious note, I think it's another moment of Bianca putting pieces together. A few days ago she mentioned to Reggie that she didn't know why he's supporting Kendall, and yesterday she picked up that Kendall and Reggie are in on something together. Yes, Kendall gave her the "he's been my rock through all this" cover-up story, and that got a pretty amusing facial expression from Bianca, sorta "Okay, I so don't believe that because I know damn well I've been your rock, what with the brainstorming and cleaning up and shimmering and work on getting you...acquitted." But Lena was there and Erica showed up, and so Bianca let it go.

I also noticed another big reaction shot of Bianca when Livia was going on about Erica giving the combination to the daughter she has a rocky relationship with. You know, Livia's really smart enough to put all this together, too.

Another amusing shot from yesterday--just before Jack was arrested, watching the "siblings" line up to try to talk some sense into him. First Bianca speaks, then Reggie pleads, and meanwhile Kendall enters the shot and makes her own plea. Seeing the three of them standing in a row was just really cute.

I think today's ep should be good, despite the boring previews, because the DNA test results are read in court today, "proving" that Kendall is carrying Michael's baby, and that causes Erica to Freak. Out. Oh, and one moment from the previews made me roll my eyes: Jack's been arrested, and Greenlee is making it all about herself. Self-absorbed twit. Are we sure she and Erica aren't biologically related?

It's a mystery joke on this board from the Rebecca OutQ interview she did recently. She had this looooong pause before she gave out Eden's nickname, which she claimed was Harvard. Given Rebecca's penchant for "interesting" nicknames--such as Luscious for Alicia and Uncle Daddy for Walt Willey--the board theory is that no way does Rebecca have such a tame nickname for ex-roomie Eden and that the long pause was probably because she was desperately thinking up a PG-rated nickname, because she didn't want to say the real one on the air. Heh.

...and Bianca looked relieved. With Erica, Erica Kane for a mother, you'd think she's at least try not to look happy her sister is carrying her rapist's child.

I know y'all will understand this, but does anyone else feel like they watch a completely different AMC (and no I am not talking about y'alls pervy filter) than most people. I was reading Soap Opera Digest yesterday (shut up) and first that "It's Only My Opinion" woman was talking about how Greenlee and Ryan should be the money couple, and that Mia and Aiden should run off and get married because no one likes Kendall, and then in the letters section, there was a letter discussion the joys of Chesty and the Beast, and then on the back page, it talked about them getting the BAM letters. All I could think was - are we watching the same show?

Here's your bone, Black Knight. Kendall was in the courtroom alone when Erica came in and was all, "I despise you for being pregnant with that man's baby," (which confuses me because I didn't think she was fooled by the fake pregnant pad but whatever). Kendall looks hurt, but expectantly hurt since I'm sure she knew Erica would react that way.

Erica leaves, Kendall sucks her tears back in, Bianca appears in the doorway, eye-fucking ensues.

Word! The AMC cast and crew are the most sexually confused people this side of Maggie. Damn. The sad thing is, I *knew* that was Binky walking in just from Kendall's gooey eyes of love. Yeah, I didn't think Erica was fooled by the pregnancy pad either, because she wouldn't have been so pleasant to Kendall the last couple of days, but my guess is that she can't see how Kendall could have faked the DNA results. It's the same argument Livia used to prevent Exeter from getting a blood sample from Kendall, the "how could we possibly manufacture this?" argument, which the judge fell for. So Erica is probably second-guessing herself in hindsight, thinking, "Hmmm, Kendall's belly was a little firmer than I originally remembered," and so on. Certainly Erica wanted to believe that Kendall wasn't pregnant, and we all know how effective Erica's denial is.

ETA: Dabney, I certainly don't know about the rest of it, but as far as BAM goes, my guess is SOD got deluged with a new BAM campaign after the last SOD chat in which the moderator said that they hadn't gotten any BAM letters in a while. But who doesn't love Kendall? Insanity. (Okay, I'm sure there are a few out there, there's a few for every viewpoint, but...)

I feel so cheated. I was majorly diggin' on some Tiza. It was so sweet and Liza looked so happy and schmoopy and then Tad turns around and bangs Krystal? That's just messed up, man. Speaking of that horny hose beast, stay away from David, Krystal! I can't believe that David would go from Anna to that trick ho, ass pony Krystal! Ew. I'm displeased.

Maggie's testimony was kinda funny. She said she went to kill Mikey and then they just let her go like it was nothing? Wierd. Reggie and Jack? Awwwww. They get me everytime. Aidan was yummy as usual but Boyd's gay hair just distracts the hell outta me.

I know and I was at first so proud of him after Liza left and he went "pfft" at the Kama Sutra book. Of course, then Krystal shows up, little Tad stands at attention, big Tad grabs the book and lopes off. At the very least, I take pleasure in the fact that for once Krystal is the one to be laying down in another woman's sweat marks.

Do they want us to like Tad or not? Because honestly, this Tad the Cad shtick isn't playing as well as it used to. His lack of self control at this point in his life is appalling, and while I don't care in the slightest about Krystal, I don't want to see Simone and Liza hurt. Actually, perversely I wouldn't mind if AMC did something socially responsible here and had Tad contract a STD from Krystal, which he then passes on to Liza and Simone.

What exactly did Greenlee think Bianca was going to be able to do to save Jack? Okay, so she didn't hear the testimony and doesn't know that Jack confessed to stealing heroin, not killing Michael, but unless she thinks Bianca killed Michael, which I doubt, I don't know what she thought Bianca could do here.

Hee, Naggie's still basically invisible even after incriminating herself on the stand. I think it's just that so many people have been incriminated already that everyone in the courtroom's yawning a bit now. "Oh okay, here's another..." You know, and that reminds me, Jack was really pretty stupid in what he did. He could have incriminated himself easily, much as Erica did, without admitting to anything illegal. All that would've been needed is Livia establishing that he had no alibi and hated Michael, and then hammering him about the gun in his safe, exactly as she did yesterday. That's enough to make him look guilty, and Erica had already incriminated herself, and Ryan had already implicated David, Aidan and Boyd. And he knew from Bianca that the DNA results would show that Kendall is pregnant with Michael's baby. Lots of reasonable doubt--so I hope tomorrow Livia is able to talk Kendall out of testifying herself. Kendall can only make her case worse by testifying (not to mention the perjury charge she'd net herself after the real truth comes out). She won't come across well, she won't be able to explain willingly marrying her sister's rapist in a simultaneously believable and non-off-putting way, and she'll lose it on cross-examination, so she needs to stay off the stand.

Normally, I'd be pretty peeved that Greenlee would stoop so low as to put a camera in Kendall's shower...but ya'll have corrupted me with all the Kinks, Keenlee and perviness that this just makes me laugh hysterically at how far down the gutter my mind can go with just that preview.

Exactly. It's tiresome storytelling and it's not even the least bit compelling. Compelling: there's a word that's never been associated with McTool.

Seriously: either reign in Tad - and I'll place down my vote for Liza, though I think she could do a hell of a lot better - or give him an STD and force him to stop screwing around.

I'll place my vote down for Simone. I think they're fun together and I just think Tad/Liza have been around way too many times already. I still very much want Liza to go away for a little while and come back all rejuvenated, with a slightly-younger, classy, and powerful man on her arm.

I kinda liked Liza with Ryan (after Gillian passed away). I know everybody here really likes Liza, but I'd rather that neither Kendall or Greenlee get stuck with Ryan. In any case, he is better looking and younger than Tad, and at least isn't bed-hopping between Kendall and Greenlee, even though he's been given the opportunity. So there's a bit more morality to him than Tad has. Plus, maybe Liza could actually get him to shut up occasionally.

LOVED when Erica was being sworn in and was asked to state her name! Susan Lucci's delivery of "...Erica Kane" was so funny, like "WHO wouldn't know who **I** am"...Lucci may have her weak points, but with stuff like that, she's the best.

Yesterday's episode was good--no Ryan, no Babe/JR/Jamie, no Krystal, and most of the players were over 40! The boyfriend and I both did a "WEEEE!!!" when Judge Lampert showed up at Jack's! She and Livia have MADE this trial....why can't they stick around??? And Mary and Adam actually DIDN'T gross me out "gettin' busy"!

Edmund is the biggest dick in the world. Oh, no, I don't want to worry poor Maria, but you Brooke, I'm gonna dump all this crap on! What a tool, and what a doormat Brooke is for going along with it. Sheesh.

and WORD Black Knight about Tad and Liza. I'd love to see Liza with a hotter younger man (or David--they have great chemistry)...I'm glad to see Marcy Walker with a storyline, but something about the Tad/Liza romance skeeves me out.

Well, I had a dream about AMC last night. Was it anything interesting? No, of course not. It was the end of Kendall's trial and Judge Lampert was sentencing Kendall to counseling. That was her punishment. And Kendall was like "I don't want to go to counseling!" Then Livia, Jackson, Bianca, and Greenlee were all, "Go to counseling, Kendall! It's better then jail!" Thus concludes the most pathetic dream ever. What the hell is that? Damn you, subconscious!

Word. I loved a few months ago when Reggie was trying to distract her away from Jack's hospital room and he did it by telling her she had bags under her eyes. Or there was the Erica/Boobe/Bianca scenes when Boobe was being all complimentary and La Kane was just eating it up. Susan totally sees the humor in Erica's conceitedness and plays it for all she's worth. The woman is a great comedic actress.


Yup, Liza/David would be my second choice in lieu of my slightly-younger/classy/powerful man. They do have great chemistry; it's just that I think David's a bit more conceited and a bit nastier than I'd like for Liza's man. Part of that is because she had all those go-rounds with Adam, part of it is because, as Heathen says, it's time Liza got chased for a change. I'd like her to be with a nice guy for a while--not a doormat, mind you, but guys can be nice and strong at the same time, regardless of what TFGH is always insisting. David really belongs with Greenlee (or, as again as a second choice, Kendall). I can't believe AMC's even trying this David/Krystal thing at all.

Too bad Edmund's tongue wasn't paralyzed. But his paralysis does mean no more Chesty/Beastmund sex scenes for a while. Very Good Thing.

We all seem to be cursed in that regard, except for whoever had the Maria/Greenlee dream. Perhaps we're just so pervy when awake that we simply drain the ol' subconscious dry?

Yeah, I totally didn't get that either. That was a big tease anyway, since I'm still waiting for my Binky/Greens royal rumble. Yes, I know that Greens is a midget She-Hulk but I'm betting on Binky's pregnancy hormones tipping the scales in her favor.

You know, the more I think about it, the more that I agree that McT (in her usual lack-of-genius fashion) may actually be tearing Greens down just to build her up again. TPTB couldn't be pounding home the fact that Greenlee's an outsider to her family any harder. Maybe they are going to force a bonding between Greens and Mary, then bring Greenlee into the Montgomery/Kane fold and have Greenlee struggle between her place in the M/K dynamics while balancing her new bond with Mary? Or maybe I'm just delusional today.

I was thinking that's why he was all "get my living will!!" The legs were one thing, but when Chesty walked in and Little Beasty didn't stand at attention and demand the can of Redi-Whip, Edmund couldn't take it, and decided life couldn't go on.

Greenlee, shut the hell up. God they've ruined her character. She's never been stupid, but she can't put two and two together here? Not even an inkling that something bigger than "Kendall's faking her pregnancy to steal my company" is going on? Something bigger that directly impacts Greenlee's newfound family? Including her father? What the hell happened to those braincells, Greens?

Eden/Rebecca are a different story than Bianca/Greenlee. Rebecca wins IRL and Bianca wins in soap land. She had to be held back from beating the crap out of Greenlee at Jerica's aborted wedding.

Plus, look at all the backup she's going to have--the entire Kane-Montgomery family is going to want to kill Greenlee when she inevitably busts into the courtroom and wrecks Kendall's defense. If she feels like an outcast in the family now...I suspect that will mark Greenlee's hitting bottom and then embarking on a journey of growth. I hope, anyway.
