I always think of "dishing" as short for "dishing the dirt", and of course dirt can be negative. Or positive. So it's an all-inclusive term for me.
I don't really want Bianca to sleep with Ryan, what with his guppy face and Harass the Rape Victim act. Kendall, of course, it's too late for, but she can save her sister from the same fate of the four-minute fuck. But other than that? Bring it on. Even Uncle Jack, as long as we're being totally dirty, because I've noticed the same inappropriate chemistry with him and Bianca as I have with him and Kendall. (I think it has to do with the way Jack always kisses both Kendall and Bianca on the cheek--a little too long and lingering. My guess is Walt has a couple of little crushes. Not that I blame him.)

Well, I wouldn't foist Tarzan on anyone, kariyaki. But, with the Asscicle murder trial looming , I could watch Kendall charm that older, slightly frumpy detective into "losing" some of that evidence from storage.
Cheap gold watches and telescopes? Y'all sure do know how to sap the ambition out of a person. ;-)
ETA: Speaking of inappropriate chemistry...the companionable Jackson/Greenlee father-daughter interaction? Sort of squicked me out in the beginning for the same reason. 'Twas a little *too* companionable. WW must be crushing on all the youngin's.

Oh, I know he does. At least on Alicia. I remember a blurb in SOD a couple years back when she was first hired as Kendall where he said he'd love for Jack to hook up with her "because she's gorgeous."
And then another incident where he'd plotted to stand in the Pine Cone doorway wearing nothing but a towel when she opened it.

2deadcows, I can promise you that the telescope isn't Ryan's--does that make you feel any better?
I saw Dax Griffin (Tarzan) on Sunset Beach years ago and he looked a zillion times better without the long hair, and he was quite hot with Sarah Buxton. So, I know he's silly on this show, but he does have potential and rates a try by Kendall and Bianca. I'm sure they could talk him into cutting the stupid long hair off, or at least wearing it in a ponytail again as he did on his first day.

I kinda like Tarzan with his hair. There'd be no reason to call him Tarzan if he cut it off. And yeah, I think he's good enough for a tumble with the Kanes. So's JR and James and--can we say people who aren't on the show anymore? Greasy and Joanie? They had chemistry with the props as well.

No. Walt said they started running behind that day and there wasn't any time for shenanigans. If I were him, I'd have still done it a different day. But maybe Alicia found out about it and was on to him or something.

Wasn't Walt the one who bought Eden the 'controversial' "I Like Boys" t-shirt? Doesn't surprise me that he's playing practical jokes on people or that I wouldn't doubt he thanks his lucky stars that he gets to work with so many hot women on a daily basis. Heck, I'd love to be Walt for a day if it meant kissing Eden or Alicia on the cheek!!

While I agree that pairing Kendall and Bianca with just about anyone in Pine Valley would almost guarantee fireworks (Didn't they both live at Myrtle's boarding house a while back? Why are we leaving Droop Cheeky McJowly out of the fun? I'm just saying!) the exception has to be Frankie. Yawn. Wince. Eden couldn't make a silk purse out of that sows ear, and Maggie is no better.
Oh great, now I have a mental picture of Myrtle joining the gang in the sponge bath. Wearing one of those flowered bathing caps. Thanks a lot.

wee bit inappropriately at times. Sadly, it doesn't gross me out as much as it should. Sticking with the pervy older men of the show theme, people reporting back from SSW said MEK was all about trying to make Eden blush. When asked what character he wished he played on the show, he said Lena while leering at Eden. (There was other stuff but I forgot it already.) Hee! Perv. I guess that earns Tad a shot at the Sisters Kane.

It's not what it once was, but it's pretty good.
I share the disgust for SearsCatalogueModel!Ryan and can't help shouting
"shut it!" every time he disgraces my screen. Why is he always shouting
at someone and who on earth finds that behavior attractive, the Frankenbrow notwithstanding? I read an interview with McTrash in which she was swooning over Cameron Mathison like a 15-year old girl. That makes sense. He's the kind of guy I thought was cute in high school.
I want Tad with Simone. The Krystal thing is dumb. Liza, to me, will always be the horrible, snotty, evil person who tortured Tad's beloved sister. I guess I
missed her evolution to nice person, but I still don't buy it and I don't want her
with Tad.

Me, dianora, I don't hate Ryan. I don't much like him either, but he once had potential. They write him so badly---sexist, obnoxious, rude, hypocritical, vain, can't listen, fickle. Make him a villain, that might work. But don't have two great characters like Greenlee and Kendall fighting over him. They're both bad girls, but I want them with good guys who are worthy.

Bluedevil, I agree that this scenario and accompanying Erica freakout would pop AMC to number one. I don't want Erica going on a quest though. I want her to start drinking heavily and acting out and partying hard around town at night in a misguided effort to prove she is still the number one Kane and her daughters will never hold a candle ... And by day she reams them out and moralizes and schemes.
What do Couch Potatoes get? A golden Tivo? Oh, and I see you've spent some considerable forum time earning frequent flyer miles on round trips to hell.

Oof, I'm a little fuzzy on the details of who they are. Mostly on the Chuck details, of which I have none except that he was married to Donna, a former hooker with a heart of gold (no, I'm not kidding). Emily Ann was her daughter (by Benny Sago, who you probably also don't know). Emily Ann was married to Joey Martin (who later became Jake). Joey was in medical school and Emily Ann became jealous of the time he spent with his lab partner Katie Kennicott (shoot me, I can't believe I remember this). Anyway, Emily Ann became more and more unhinged, even going so far as having a hysterical pregnancy. She ended up committed after she tried to kill Katie and that's the last we saw of her.

Which makes me feel a little better. I can nod and go, "Okay, I'm bored/hate/have-no-use-for this guy, but at least some people are getting enjoyment out of this." Different strokes for different folks. No problem. The characters that really make me go nuts are the ones who suck up screentime and yet NO ONE likes them. What's the point, then?
Speaking of Greenlee/Bianca, for some reason I took it in my head to go back and read the AMC transcripts of when Bianca learned her father was dead. There was a brief Jack/Greenlee scene in which she told him she was sorry for his brother's death and asked how it happened. Now, of course, it turns out Travis was her uncle.
A lot of interesting things on that re-read, actually. Such as, Bianca and Erica have really come a long way, in terms of Bianca setting boundaries and keeping her mother much more at arm's length. Erica was beyond awful during that time, and it's amazing to see how incredibly and painfully shy Bianca was. She's gotten a lot more used to the constant press exposure and such now. And it's amusing to see how AMC sprinkled the hints of Bianca's sexuality throughout, really doing quite a nice job with the red herrings. She hit town and it looked like setup for a Bianca/Leo/Greenlee triangle...she talks about a secret periodically...after the funeral Jack learned from Barbara that Bianca probably fell in love with a guy at rehab and then got her heart broken...and then, of course, a few weeks later the real truth came out. Yes on rehab affair, but wrong gender. Hee.

Just chiming in with a little Walt Willey anecdote. About a year ago, my boyfriend called me from an airport in Arizona to tell me he had just seen "the Jackson guy from AMC" entering the airport men's room. I instructed him he was NOT allowed to leave that airport without an autograph for me! Being the shy type, he protested, but at the risk of enduring my 'wrath', he approached Walt (AFTER he left the men's room!), and Walt couldn't have been nicer! According to my BF, he was TALL TALL TALL and super-friendly. I have the autograph on my fridge. **SIGH** Even when this show pisses me off, I'm still its bitch.
The only AMC-ers I've seen in person are James Kiberd(ex-Trevor) in the lobby at a Broadway show, with his wife who played Shana on Loving. Didn't approach them, though.
Also met Robin Mattson(ex-Janet) at cooking store demo she did here in Memphis. . This was a few years ago when she had a meaty storyline and I told her it was a shame she hadn't been nominated for an Emmy for her AMC role, because she was phenomenal. She seemed really touched but was candid enough to tell me that the Emmys were all political and she had become so frustrated she didn't even submit her name anymore. She also gave me the names of a few hangouts around the AMC studio I might be able to bump into a star or two (I had told her I was about to go to NYC)...but of course, I totally forgot the names!
Anyhoo, just thought I'd share with the group. <g>

Having snooze-read through the rest of the PBP, finally--yeah, I'll watch the last ten seconds with Kendall, and the previews. Since Binks/Lena/Maggie are over at B/M's apartment and everyone's still in their NYE garb, I'm guessing good ol' Maggie interrupts things. Way to go, Mags. Hmmm, no wonder Lena's confronting her the day after about her feelings for Bianca. Can't she marry Jamie and then both of them join the Peace Corps, thereby getting the two the hell off our screens?

Regarding the previews, why are Lianca *still* wearing those same outfits of horror??? Why??? It will be fun watching Binky cluelessly seek advice from two people that hate each other. I wonder what gets Binks thinking about outing her pregnancy anyway? Maybe she's doing it out of spite because her girlfr......um, sister is off bedhopping in the mountains without her.
Ooh, Jerica is on tomorrow. I sooooo don't want to see them make out but I really do want them back together, married even. Yes, I'm a sap but I also want the Kane/Montgomery clan cemented. Dammit.

As for Bianca, I know that it's because she wants to stay in town to support Kendall through the trial, and she knows that if she does stay, her pregnancy's going to be exposed. I guess even AMC realizes that they can't keep dressing Eden as if she's three weeks along forever. LOL
Anyway, yeah, it should be amusing watching her get advice from secretly-catfighting Maggie and Lena, especially since they have completely different ulterior motives. If Bianca chooses to out her pregnancy, that means she stays in town with Lena. If Bianca chooses to keep it a secret, that means she leaves town with Maggie. Gee, let's just GUESS which side each is going to come down on.

I don't mind, actually. Because when they do get it on, I'd like to know about it. Yeah, I know we won't get to actually see it--well, we might get to see a prelude kiss, now that AMC's broken the second-kiss barrier--but I still want to see how they get to that point at least. Enough of Lianca's relationship is kept offscreen as it is without us at least getting to hear the conversation beforehand.
I'm actually rather surprised that Bianca's took Lena back to the apartment alone. Girl must be seriously thinking about giving sex a try. We could all see where her mind was headed, what with that dress, of course...but she's definitely making progress.

That hasn't been made clear in the spoilers, Mystic0, but certainly it doesn't have to be an either-or situation with the Sisters Kane. Ryan's really the only one with whom there was ever an issue of, "Either Kendall is pregnant or Bianca is." Since Kendall's story is that she conceived Michael's baby on their wedding night, Bianca's pregnancy, which started two months earlier, really has nothing to do with it, except that the amnio might be looked at more closely. But I don't see how it can be even closer scrutinized than AlienDA's current plan to sit and watch Kendall during the procedure, anyway. There are already quite a few people who know that Bianca WAS pregnant and just believe that she aborted.
I'll have to slo-mo the final groping to look for tiny tiny muscular arms. Hee.

Brooke 'N Liza 4EVAH! Forget about AmbiguousMaggie's sudden pseudo sexual identity crisis and give these women something (or someone) to do, McT. Why can't a writer get royalties for creating a set instead of a character? Then Megan could pencil in a sparkling new PV coffee shop where these ladies start their morning off by dishing the PV denizens. All we need is a snappy name. I'd watch that over the Boobe, Junior, Jamie, Krystal, Maggie, and Cold Mountain Hijinks crud we're getting now.
Man, AMC must have blown the 2004 special effects budget with JP's car bombing because the 'cliffhanger' looked more like the byproduct of a defective flash bulb. Hey ya, Kendall, shake it like a Polaroid picture.
ETA: Black Knight, if I recall correctly, and lord knows why I would, it was a sound...and a flash of flickering light across Mauria and Greenlee's horrified faces. But, yeah, you're right about the gas leak. Maybe the car bomb put them over the top. Why do they even bother? I'm reminded of Maureen's Close Encounters of the Stupid Kind midnight dip in the PV ocean.

She's gotten pretty much across the board support for her decision to have Bling (especially from her snookums Kendall), which will probably give her false hope that Erica's reaction won't be as bad as she dreads. Word. While I do love Aidan, the younger guys on this show are severly lacking the dynamic-ness of the women. DC and VI are both great but they're mostly out of the realm of romantic leads for the younger leading ladies. JY? Can't act. NuJamie? Too stupid. Tomy? Not really connecting and too damn hard to understand. Cam? Do I need to explain? With Aidan being (IMO) a weak character and Boyd MIA, they need some males with Josh-like charisma or some decent acting chops. Something. How can AMC cast women so well but stock up on mostly blah men?

Notice that Bianca and Kendall never talk to each other about each other's romantic interests anymore? Kendall made a comment at the start of their bonding that she expected Bianca to settle down with a woman, and Bianca asked Kendall at the boathouse about her feelings for Ryan, but now it's a topic they don't discuss at all. Gee, wonder why? Hee.
As far as the men, if AMC hadn't ditched Micah Alberti, written William deVry into a corner, and completely marginalized Marc Menard, they'd be in a lot better shape, what with Aiden Turner and Vincent Irizarry and MEK also on tap (I don't feel the latter two are yet too old for the younger women). Though perhaps with Wil deVry they've realized their error. But after all the times I screamed at Michael's smirking face to DIE DIE DIE!, I'm not sure I could enjoy a possible lookalike running around town. Granted, a fair amount of time has passed now and my feelings of repulsion are no longer as strong.

Vincent? They should SO put him with Rebecca. He's the only male she has chemistry with. Though, I found him quite engaging in his scenes with Kendall, too. Oh, the dilemma.

And I couldn't be happier about GH falling. That show so totally deserves to be the last-rated of the ABC soaps. For all AMC and OLTL's problems, at least they try to protect and use vets and pay some attention to history, dammit. They haven't trashed every character to the point I no longer care about any of them. etc. Take a look at David Canary's rankings for 2003, for instance--yes, he's low, but I also believe he got a significant uptick in appearances in the last few months (but only kariyaki can confirm that). It was the first two-thirds of 2003 that he was almost completely marginalized, I think.

I personally don't feel Vincent is too old for the young 'uns but AMC seems to. I imagine they'll keep him in the Erica/Krystal/yadda group. As far as MEK, I'm probably the only one who
doesn't find Tad the Cad amusing. Well, I do find him funny, but I'm never, "Damn! That Tad/Whoever love scene was HOT!!", ya know? That may be because I'm never particularly invested in any of his romances, other than laughing at them.
Though, I found him quite engaging in his scenes with Kendall, too.
Who isn't engaging with Kendall? Other than Ryan, that is. ;)
