Bianca has never told Lena to her face directly, "I love you". That has been saved for Lena, the smitten, who has done it to Bianca's face, to doors, to mothers, to uncles, to sisters, to photos, to aquaintances -- essentially a godawful amount of times and usually at inappropriate times (oh, that Lena!).

As stated above, the only times Bianca told someone that she loved Lena while Lena was in the same room were when Bianca told her mother that she loved Lena (her back to Lena, btw) & she listed Lena last on a list of people who she loved to Maggie (at least Bianca did not have her back to Lena this time -- she actually looked at Lena when she said no in any special order. Progress! Progress, I say!). I think before that she told Uncle Jack, Erica, and a couple of others that she loved Lena. Kendall knew instinctually that Bianca loved Lena and did not need to be told. So did Maggie (who coined the term 'Hot Polish Fox', btw).

DAMMMMN! Eden better watch her back. I wouldn't want to go up against Rebecca in an ass kickin' contest. Or maybe they're all just one big happy family. Do they serve drinks on the sled, or is it BYOB?

*A box where the top and bottom of the box is perfectly wrapped in wrapping paper, so that all you have to do is open a ribbon and voila, there's the gift. There's no ripping of paper. Only a complete anal retentive would seperately wrap the top and bottom of a box like that. It's too perfect.

I haven't seen the show yet today, but I'm looking forward to the Kinks! Actually, I tried to add "Kinks" to my livejournal interests, and all I got was a bunch of weird and I mean weird shared topics that had nothing to do with sis!yay.

Meanwhile, what is all this talk of a Dark Father?? Sis!yay is so the result of fabulously evil girl power.

I caught that the first time around. It seemed to me that Lena needed to vent. But, Skiffy, in Binky's defense, her mind was elsewhere at the moment. After all, she has another girlfri--um, lov. . .er, person who she feels needs her a little more than Lena or anyone else right now, including her own unborn child. She was focused on trying to remember something, anything that could help Kendall get. . .acquitted. And she has tunnel vision about it, which is evidenced in the fact that she didn't pay much attention to Kendall's mentioning of the fact that she had a nightmare of her own.

I have the urge to counteract that with the creating of a livejournal Kinks community.


The Spice Girls?

I watched the ep, and I know I promised some commentary to CKD and Mystic0, so here goes:

CKD, after watching the Kendall/Bianca scenes I definitely felt she knew what Bianca was talking about. In addition to the points that were already brought up earlier today, one thing in particular struck me: the way Kendall shut Bianca down at the end, the spiel that starts with "Now I want you to drop this." Now, we have seen Kendall arguing with Bianca before, trying to talk her into or out of something or other, occasionally just ordering Bianca to do something, but there was just a quality about this time, a certain rude dismissiveness. Since Kinks became close, Kendall has never spoken to Bianca like that. But it was born of desperation. And I noticed a flash of irritation in Bianca's eyes over it, before she decided to not push Kendall and to just let her believe that Bianca was dropping it. Awww, Binks doesn't like fighting with Kendall. Notice how later in the courtroom Kendall tells Bianca (in her normal nice-to-Bianca way, this time) that she shouldn't be at the trial, Bianca just sidesteps it and asks Kendall how the trial's going.

Mystic0, you really, really weren't kidding about the Door Lean of Flirty Enticement. When I saw that, my reaction was, "DAMN, Bianca's body language is just screaming, 'Jump me!'" Yowza. Did you notice that when Bianca first goes to the door and then turns around, Kendall was moving forward, thinking that Bianca was going to have the door already open? And Bianca's just casually blocking her way, almost, with the look and pose. And then she does open the door and lets Kendall past, does a second Door Lean that's even better than the first (but unfortunately too short), and then moves forward towards Kendall. You were so totally right about the "on a date" vibe that whole bit had. My screen was just smoking when they were standing there doing their farewells, because if that was a non-related couple on a date, that's definitely the moment where they'd then kiss.

I was also amused to see that Bianca took her usual pains to cute herself up for Kendall in the courtroom. Blue looks nearly as good on her as black, and it looks like she's wearing a black top underneath her cute blue jacket. Yum. And good call on the "girlfriend" vibe Eden brought in that scene.

I think Eden's comment about Alicia's eyes just slams the lid on everything we've been saying. Alicia putting the Kinks promo on her site, Eden gushing over Alicia's eyes--Kinks is soooooooo doing it. And Alicia and Eden are soooooo playing up the perviness. Insanely flirty walk to the door, indeed. And man, Eden knows how to bring it, what with the DLoFE. If she had just been dressed in something better, I think Kinks would have become canon, because no way could Kendall have resisted the DLoFE if Bianca had been in something black and lowcut. That said, I was hella pleased with Kendall's googly eyes of love and the way she said "I love you" earlier.

(2deadcows, I did know what I was writing with that "it's gotta be coming" bit. I was wondering if anyone would pick up on it, but on this board, I need not have had any doubts.)

ETA: I actually once did a google search on Kinks, in the hopes someone had created a page for them. (Answer: Not yet.)


Remember, Naggie was there. I didn't get the impression that Lena was about to open up, not after her rather disastrous recounting to Maggie of her suicide attempt. There was clearly some pain in Lena's eyes, but she also said it in a reasonably light tone of voice. And, Bianca wasn't thinking about herself, she was thinking about Kendall, who is on trial for her life, after all.

I'm not going to get into a long defense of Bianca, but I do think that she has, with Lena, done her usual thing of worrying about other people more than doing the right thing for herself. I'm not saying she went about it in the right or best way, but she has definitely tried to protect Lena throughout all of this. She's kept secret all the details of Voldemort that would be especially painful to Lena. She didn't let Lena see too much of her in her broken state, knowing how much more that would hurt and guilt Lena. She tried to give Lena her freedom to go find a girlfriend who isn't a mess and can have sex and be in a relationship.

And finally, I seriously doubt Lena's nightmares are as horrific as Bianca's. Bianca gets to relive her rape in her nightmares as well as in her flashbacks when awake. Lena can only imagine what Bianca went through.

I got Lena's dream comments to indicate "I'm a world-weary person, I boinked a lot of people for bad reasons and I regret it. It bothers me." True, there is some torture there, but it isn't as deep seated as Binky's.

As long as it moves this damn murder storyline along, I don't care.

What I wouldn’t give for the following: instead of the chat speculation that Maggs gets some action with Binks, what if the first week of Febuary reveals that Maggie is the killer? Instead of a kiss scene Liz gets a meaty “ I did it for Bianca” scene.

I would love it primarily for the gnashing of teeth and banshee wailing that would result from a certain collection of fans at the perceived double cross from McHack.


I am reminded of a line from a preview of an upcoming episode of The L Word, “all girls are straight until they’re not”.

As to the pervy-ness of the AMC thread…I find myself ruined for other boards and forums. Even other TWoP threads seem boring in comparison. What’s happened to me? Guess I’ll just take my seat and wait quietly for the sled driver. Can I have another Peppervodkatini before we depart?

For a few seconds there was a yummy tension where I wasn't sure Bianca *would* let Kendall out (and Binky shoots Kendall a very interesting look.*rowr* I'd like to have seen Kendall's reaction shot). Yep, nice little moment there.

From Ocookie's lunch recap: Liz told Eden and Olga that she thought they would get to kiss at they NYE party because the script said all the COUPLES kiss. So Liz thinks Lianca is a couple, not just friends. Eden and Olga had to ask the director to be sure ... and Olga thought it would be edited out. The director assured them it wouldn't because it couldn't be for practical reasons ... like the dropping baloons. Can't have jumpy baloon dropping! BWAH!

Oh, and how I adore Olga for snarking when prompted about the "5ft" rule. Extending her arm and hand waaaay out and saying "Here, hold my hand." God. She is comedy gold.

Who could ever hate Alicia? Not even Liz. Besides ... it would be career suicide to express dissatisfaction with Ms. Frontburner of the year. Safer to be jealous of 8-day a month Olga.

CKD, I don't remember seeing a spoiler like that, either among the regular spoiler sites or the rumors even, but that doesn't mean it's not floating out there.

amybeth5251, that could very well be true. I have a problem with the idea of Myrtle as killer (you were just speculating without it being based on spoilers, so no need to tag this) mostly because I can't see her letting Kendall go through all this. Myrtle's POV would be that she's lived a good and full life and so if she's guilty, time to step up. Her sentence would probably be the lightest allowed under the law. That's the problem with most of the suspects, period--they wouldn't let Kendall go through this. I can really only believe it of Maggie and Adam, and maybe Erica, depending on how she feels about Kendall on any given day. (Lena would be capable of it, but not under these particular circumstances, when she knows how upset Bianca is over Kendall.)


Yup, I noticed. That scene was played so blatantly (no, Kenlee's definitely never gotten to go to these lengths) that I was expecting them to kiss too. The last time they were this overt was the infamous couch brainstorming scene when they were fawning over each other so much I actually forgot myself and said out loud, "Get a room!" And then realized they already had one, and were completely alone. And then Kendall said the notorious brainstorming line with the most googly eyes ever and we all know she pulled Bianca down on top of her the second the camera cut away...(boy, it's a little early today for me to hop on the sled and partake in cocktails...)


Much as I love and adore Pervy, and he deserves mucho credit for the SisYay, at this point I think Alicia and Eden deserve equal credit. Pervy writes the dialogue, but Alicia and Eden are turning even innocent lines and walks to the door into full-blown SisYay. Hee.

My friend who's complained endlessly about Bianca not showing is happy now. I, of course, am now miserable. At least her courtroom outfit is cute, but the Punisher knows that Kinks are in public there and so can't rip each other's clothes off and brainstorm Kendall's acquittal, and so it's safe to dress Binks cute then.

Yeah, word to that. They have to know what they are doing and playing it up. I remember howling with laughter yesterday when they were parting ways and their voices kept dropping lower and lower. (Husky flirty voice "Hey" and "Bye" killed me) Hee! And for some reason, Kendall pulling Binks up to walk her to the door cracked me up. I have a sister and I've never felt the need to walk her to a door that's a whopping five feet away. Kinks, man.

On a serious note (ha), you were right about Kendall eating it up that Bianca's trying to save her, even as she was advising Bianca against it. It lets her feel that her sacrifice is worth it, because she's doing it for someone who really does love her and is trying her best to save her. Kendall's dream showed that she's worried about people abandoning her, sacrificing her--especially Erica, that whole bit with Kendall in white and Erica kissing her goodbye--but the one person she didn't have that fear with in her dream was Bianca. She really trusts Bianca to have her back. And no doubt some other parts of her. Ahem.

[little kid trying to join the grown-up party] Maybe it could turn out that Kendall isn't the daughter Erica gave up long ago. Then she and Bianca wouldn't be sisters, but "friends."
